“This is a hidden gem among the other korean reseaurants/businesses in this area. Both their ramen and udon are very good. I can't believe I've never been here when I was growing up in Southern California. I don't live in this area anymore, but it's always nice to come back from time to time. This reseaurant also has a really nice music playlist.“

“Walked in on Wednesday around noon and it was not busy. Our servers did great at attending us (in training servers) quickly and bringing out food promptly. Probably took 20 minutes for us to receive our food. We ordered the tonkotsu ramen with mild spice. There was no spice at all which so I would go up a level if you wanted it a little bit spicy. We also got the chicken fried rice which was very good. It was big enough to share between two people. the ramen was also shareable between two people. It was approximately $28 for two meals & one soft drink without tip. They give out free dessert mochi per person after order which was nice. They also have vegetarian options! The atmosphere was great. They had anime playing on the tv and they also had manga in English to read! Parking was easy and there was a lot of open spots.“

“This is where you can find authentic mazemen in OC. It literally means mix mix noodles and I got the chance to try it at Mogu Mogu's newest location in Fullerton.
I went with the Deluxe and it came with loads of toppings like spicy minced pork, a poached egg, and more chashu pork. You mix, mix, mix as much as you can and enjoy!
Paired it with their Takoyaki which comes in either a crispy or soft shell, or crispy shell in soup! The crispy shell was such a hit for me and I can't wait to be back :)
Thanks for reading! ^-^“

“Went for an early dinner on Tuesday. I was surprised to find a brand new AYCE menu option at the Garden Grove location. It is $24 and available all day. There is a lot of ramen, appetizers and sushi rolls to choose from.
I had the tonkatsu black ramen which had a lot of toppings. The noodles were chewy and bouncy. The broth was fantastic. I also had the tonkatsu miso ramen. Just as delicious and recommend both.
For appetizers I recommend the grilled gyoza, the shrimp tempura and the egg rolls. The char is the grilled gyoza took it to another level for me. The tempura is crispy and not oily at all. The egg rolls were crispy and filled with flavorful vegetables.
For sushi rolls I got a California roll, a Dragon roll, an OMG roll and spam musubi. The rolls are all really packed with ingredients and all fresh and delicious. The spam musubi is really thick cut. I recommend all of them.
The AYCE MENU is only available at the Garden Grove location and I cannot wait to go back and try more options.“

“Great ramen and sushi restaurant in a small strip mall. Plenty of parking. The restaurant is not big, but has a large table in the middle for a larger group and some smaller tables for groups of 2 to 6, and some bar seating. We were warmly greeted and could sit anywhere. We ordered two ramen soups, a truffle mushroom variety and a spicy beef version. With both, we chose them as a combo with gyoza and spicy tuna, respectively. The soups came quickly and looked and tasted amazing. They played country music, which was a bit unexpected. But still 5 stars for food and service. Overall, a place we have bookmarked for our next trip.“

“I love their happy hour deal. If you buy a ramen, sushi or poke, you can get a drink or appetizer for a much lower price. The ramen was pretty good. I didn't add spice and it was very flavorful already. I tried the medium and it was too spicy for me. The pork belly isn't very tasty but the ramen makes up for it. Very good prices for a decent amount of food.“

“Great Ramen! You can either build your own or order or something off the menu and ordering off the menu is definitely a little bit less.
Soup was really good, although I think I prefer it with udon noodles instead of the yellow ones.
It was the perfect food on a rainy day.“

“An Evening at Kin Izakaya: Where Tradition Meets Ambiance In the culinary haven that our city embodies, Kin Izakaya emerges as a sanctuary of authentic Japanese flavors combined with the convivial spirit typical of Japan’s iconic gastropubs. It’s here that tradition and modernity collide to create not just a meal, but an experience worth savoring. The moment you step through the doors of Kin Izakaya, you’re greeted by an atmosphere that’s both lively and intimately comforting. The ambient lighting, coupled with rustic décor and understated oriental motifs, offers a welcoming reprieve from the city’s hustle and bustle. Kin Izakaya’s menu is a harmonious blend of traditional Japanese fare and innovative culinary creations. The tapas-style dishes, perfect for sharing, encourage a communal dining experience. From the delicate flavors of their sashimi to the robust, savory notes found in their yakitori selection, there’s a delightful complexity in each dish presented. The agedashi tofu, with its perfect crispy exterior giving way to silken tofu within, is a testament to the chef’s prowess in honoring traditional flavors while serving contemporary palates.“

“Waited approximately one hour to be seated. Spoiker: it was well worth that wait. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and pork buns. I can't decide which part was better, the noodles or the broth! The pork buns were priced just right at $8 for 2. Some of the best I've had. You are all so lucky to have such a wonderful ramen bar in your community. I am from Maine and will be sure to stop by this establishment every chance I get once I am in town.“

“This place usually has a line, but if you go early enough of during off peak hours you'll be served quickly and efficiently.
The staff are always friendly and the quality of the food is very consistent.
My wife picked up the vegan yasai ramen which is a ginger mushroom broth base, while I ordered the standard spicy tonkotsu.
If you come during lunch their $1 special is an incredible deal, if you come after lunch then their other add on deals are still definitely worth it!
We shared an additional rainbow roll which was an assortment of their salmon, tuna and or yellow tail with a crab combination. A great deal and option if you wanted to try all their fish.
The ambiance is very nice and easy going, a small quaint space with lines and tables moving quickly even if you're outside waiting. Definitely a worth while spot if you're looking for sushi or ramen!“

“It's esp. good during chilly, cold weather. The (okonomiyaki) egg-noodle dish was tasty--would love for them to make it more Japanese style, so good!
Miso ramen was flavorful enough. Tuna on crispy rice YUM.
Poke was OK--maybe ditch the mayo & pool of soy sauce.
Service terrific. Sat 3:45 PM meal.
May Mako Ramen thrive through 2025 & 2026 (brace for it, America).“

“Delicious sushi with an extensive menu in the heart of Downtown Fullerton! The ambience was creative and casual. Right in the middle of all the shops and bars. The food was flavorful and the prices were fair, they had some good deals like buy a roll get one half off, buy one hot sake and get a second for .99cents. Its a lowkey local spot but feels like you’re somewhere in Japan. So much to choose from menu wise, cold food, hot food…Yumminess for days!“

“Genuine Japanese Ramen with rich Miso taste. No other ramen shops serve this taste and only one in SoCal. It’s worth to spend your time to go to this place if you are Ramen Lover! Now they start serving Shio-Ramen (Clear Salt base soup) with Truffle oil flavor. This one is very good, too!“
