“Nine of us had lunch here on a busy Saturday-glad we had reservations! The waitress did a fabulous job taking care of us and all our many requests. The food was excellent as well-the only exception might be the funfetti pancakes, which were a little sweet. My one BIG complaint was the LOUD MUSIC, especially the THUMPING BASS. I asked several times if they could turn down the volume, but no luck. I want to preserve my hearing, and for that reason I will not dine here again.“

“Took over as my favorite pizza place in SD. Just exudes laid back fun and cool. Like 10 high school kids running around working hard and being friendly, and couldn't tell who could possibly be in charge, but it was totally working! And Hazy IPA was great.“

“One of my favorite lunch spots to go to during the week! The sandwiches are so delicious - very decent size too! Easily can save the other half for later. The staff is very friendly and the inside of the place is always quiet, clean, and welcoming. Really good spot all together. Good variety of sandwiches to pick from and the prices are unbeatable!“

“My husband and I came here once and it’s now our favorite place to come eat! A woman Trudy who works there is an absolute super star! She is always going above and beyond to make the experience even better, the food is a plus ? don’t miss out on the grandmas Mac and cheese. It’s the best I’ve ever had!“

“We love the food and variety at Nick's on State! The restaurant was very busy and they were short staffed but our server did an awesome job and the whole restaurant seemed to pitch in to make sure every table was getting good service. We can't wait to go back!“
