“The tacos de adobada are TOP tier. I have heard the lengua is also very good but I have not tried it. The tortiallas are fresh taste amazing. The carne asada though was a little disappointing. There is a consistent burnt/smoky flavor that I think overpowers the meat/taco. Maybe this is temporary but it tasted the same at multiple locations. I will edit this if it gets better. Either way I will be back for the adobada!“

“I stumbled upon this restaurant while watching YouTube travel guides for our upcoming trip to San Diego. We love unique dining experiences, so this seemed like our kind of eatery. The food & service was excellent. The owner checked on every table & takes pride in his restaurant which shows in the quality of the food. The head meat tacos were excellent! We also loved the consomè con carne soup.“

“I'm giving it 4 stars because lately, the tortillas taste OLD. Before the tacos were soft, not chewy. The tostadas were breakable and crunchy. Lately, they are not that breakable and crunchy. The service is excellent!

Wheelchair accessibility: They have both low tables with removable chairs and pub tables with stools. For a wheelchair or walker with a seat, you can just remove a chain.“

“I was in the area and wanted something kind of healthy, so I decided to order two tacos — one pescado a la plancha and one camarón a la plancha. I was a little bummed they messed up my order and gave me two pescado instead, but honestly, they were really good! I’m pretty picky when it comes to fish, but it had great flavor and wasn’t fishy at all. The salsas and chips were tasty too!

I also tried their jugo verde — I love green juice, but not everyone makes it how I like it. This place actually makes a really good one!

And staff were great too. Not mad at all but sad. I didn’t got to try the Camaron.“

“My review is a bit late, but I haven't been to El Pollo Loco in probably 10+ years, why, I have no idea myself. But that day I went to the drive through with my mom. The customer service this girl had, was so professional and appreciated. I asked for her name afterwards because she did such a great job. Her name is STAR, I worked at a restaurant for about 4 years and this is the customer service I gave. I was impressed by her suggestions and the way my mom and I kept on getting convinced on adding more to our menu list even when we only came for 2 things, we ended up leaving with about 5 things. So STAR if you see this, girl keep doing what you are doing, even though there is a few in the world that can be, let's say unappreciated in their lives and take it out on the nice people, you keep working hard.“

“I visited this restaurant for the first time, and right away the customer service made me feel genuinely welcomed. The menu is extensive, offering a wide variety of options, but today I came specifically to try the California burrito, and it absolutely did not disappoint.

The steak was well-seasoned, the fries were perfectly crispy, and the burrito was generously filled with sour cream and guacamole. What I appreciated most was the balance in every bite; unlike many places where each bite tastes different, this burrito delivered a consistent mix of steak, fries, and toppings throughout.

“Haven't had food from this joint since high school back in 2010, and OMG it was delicious. I got a customized csli to my liking and I have not 1 complaint. The meat was so juicy and flavorful. The fried were nice and crunchy and the red salsa was just perfect on spice. So glad its still as good as I remembered. I was this time too...will be visiting again soon:)“

“This is a very nice place. Friendly atmosphere great variety of choices, good service. I've gone twice this week and had a good experience both times. Tried the caldo de Rex and the breakfast mole. I can honestly say one of the best mole flavors I've had! We also had the Diablo shrimp which was also very tasty. The torta with chilaquiles is extremely good! It is a bit pricey here which would be my only complaint. But overall a good place to eat! A must try!“

“The birria is so good! I’ve tried several places in Imperial Valley, San Diego and Chula Vista and this is the best birria I’ve had. The only bad thing about this place is that they do not have a changing table for babies, so I had to change my baby on the floor.

I've been going to this restaurant for over 10 years and they ate great. The food is delicious. But when she is working her shift she brings my experience down. Today I asked her if I had done something to offend her? Why is she so rude to me? I treat her with kindness and respect and she ALWAYS greets me with discomfort. Like I'm not welcome. She told me she's on her period. My response was that she must ALWAYS be on her period cause she's ALWAYS so rude to me. She didn't like my response and looked at me up and down and gave me a cold long silent stare down. And I expected that coming from her. She had to to he a family member cause she doesn't care about her job. So this msg is also to the owner. Teach her some kindness/customer service because she is giving your business a bad name as a representative.“
