Great texture, great tea flavor and not too sweet like some other milk teas I’ve had, even at regular sugar levels. “We're so lucky to have so many great boba cafes here in San Francisco. And Black Sugar is one of them.

It's a small spot at the edge of the Tenderloin near Union Square. They have a few caffeine-free choices and I got their mango sago, which is a mango puree with grapefruit bits and coconut milk. Since it already had sago, I didn't add boba, which is good btw. Its has that qq bounce and is softly sweetened with brown sugar.

The mango was so refreshing! The coconut added a creamy texture and the grapefruit bits added a pop of tartness. The sago added another layer of texture that was both soft and chewy. I usually like to take my time with boba drinks, but this one was so good that I drank it pretty fast.

I usually order mine online for pick up. But service is pretty quick after ordering. Though I can imagine it's busier on weekends.

I've had several of their drinks, including their popular black sugar fresh milk, and they are all good. Definitely take a detour when you're in Union Square when the boba craving hits.“

Delicious and a lot of food for the price in that area. I love this spot. Highly recommend. No pics but whether you get vegan or meat/vegetarian you’re eating good here. 4 stars on atmosphere because it is nice and warm but somewhat small and basic. Still recommend. 🫶🏼. The food is also prepared healthily as they bake their fries. Quality ingredients and really good seasonings. Something for everyone. “Glad to find this place. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of their offering and even their service. Well I don't really like coffee drinks that have flavorings in them. I was pretty hungry and was almost about to order one when I saw that they had more extensive boba type menu. And I ordered the taro drink which had a combination of fresh taro milk and kind of the artificial taro milk mixture. You can see that they have different layers and it looks pretty nice. “Wanted a sweet treat and this adorable place caught our eye. I really only wanted the matcha but their 3 for $11 was tempting so ended up getting three donuts.

Tried the matcha one as I left the shop and it was yummy. I did notice it seems more oily than other mochi donut places and could’ve done without the extra oil. The napkin I was holding was quite soaked by the time I had finished it.

I stopped by Liliko Boba after visiting a friend who lives nearby. It had been a long, busy day, and I was really craving something refreshing — a mix of coffee, tea, and boba. When I walked in, I was greeted by a kind and welcoming woman. I explained that I was in the mood for something unique, and she said, “I’ll make it special for you.”

She crafted a delicious cinnamon coffee-tea blend for me, and I was so excited that I forgot to mention I wanted boba added. When I realized and told her, she didn’t hesitate at all. Even though the drink was already made, she smiled and said, “No problem,” and added the boba right away.

Her friendly attitude and great customer service truly made my day. The drink itself was amazing — flavorful, balanced, and just what I needed. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Not all ShareTeas are the same, and the owner here is doing everything right. The taste of the tea, ratio of milk, sweetness, boba consistency, etc. is consistently perfect and I’ve yet to find a match anywhere else. My go to order is a classic black milk tea with 50% sugar, normal ice, and boba. Other drinks that are great here are the strawberry ice blended with boba and lychee and 50% sugar, and the Kiwi Fruit Tea with Lychee and 0% sugar (because the fruit juice is already sweet— and it’s real! has seeds in it!). Make no mistake and don’t sleep on this little gem in San Rafael!“

The only thing that keeps me from giving them a 5 is the prices. Don't get me wrong about the inflation issue, but like some of the prices are unreasonable. They should lower it.
Go here if you have the money but the workers are really nice. Just go to Starbucks, it's more reasonable there.“
