I was blown away by the summer squash pizza and mascarpone/san marzano pizza! Some of the best I have ever had. Perfectly crispy crust with very complex complimentary flavors.

“I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. I am a business owner a few doors down and I wandered in with a friend after work one night about a month ago. We were met with such incredible warmth from the staff and the environment itself, even without a reservation. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Josh, only to find out later that he is the owner. He made excellent recommendations on everything from our drinks to dessert. The bar didn’t feel isolated from the rest of the restaurant and guests, but rather was lively hub frequented by kitchen and serving staff and warmed by a smoldering wood fire. The coziest. We swooned for the poke appetizer, complete with house-made toasted, but not crisp, blue corn tortillas. The pork shoulder tacos—also to die for. I have to say though, that the star on the sidelines was the beans. I honestly didn’t know I could feel this way about beans…but I digress. Josh bounced around from table to table all night, never letting a single ball drop, making every guest feel like *his* guest. A pot de crème sealed the evening in perfect bliss. I’m back a month later with the same friend, eating different and somehow even more incredible entrees: ribeye, halibut and a rhubarb crisp for dessert. I scarcely ever take the time to write a review as I prefer to vote with my $ and my feet, but I simply couldn’t eat here again without taking the time to sing it’s praises. Eat here.“

What matters to me is the combination of unique and innovative food, service, and atmosphere. You can get one or two of these many aces, it's hard to find all three. Add to that that you get to sit at the counter and watch the chef prepare all your meals. And that there's only room for ten people every night. Chef Lance and Yo explain everything and the time just flies when there. We made the mistake of not ordering the caviar sampler. But when I saw how it was served to another guest, I knew I had to have it next time. You will not be disappointed.“

“I recently hosted a party at Ora and it was such a great experience! The space is perfect for a variety of occasions whether you’re planning a happy hour, hosting a celebration, or just having a fun girls’ night out.

A special shoutout to our bartender, Sabrina, who was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly, attentive, and really helped make the night feel special for everyone.

The wine selection was excellent! Everything we tried was delicious and there was something for everyone to enjoy. Overall, the atmosphere was warm, stylish, and welcoming.

I’d definitely recommend Ora if you’re looking for a great spot to unwind or celebrate with friends.“

“Super cute wine bar just across the street from Cafe Zoetrope. We were there for a calligraphy class but my daughter was feeling ill so we sat outside for a bit. The sommelier was kind and empathetic; he offered us waters and was talking to her to make her feel less embarrassed. While we were waiting, he even helped a lady park her car. So while we didn't have wine or food, the service is top notch and we'll go back!“

“If you are a caviar lover, you have to go here. They have caviar from their own farm and it is a sustainable operation. The prices are fair for caviar. No, it’s not cheap, but if you consider a small spoonful of caviar at a restaurant is upwards of $50, it’s a solid price. My favorite caviars/roes I’ve tried in order of enjoyment: golden osetra, osetra, estate, baerii, truffled whitefish roe. If you are curious about caviar, Tsar Nicoulai is the best place to give it a try at a reasonable price. Their caviar is wonderful.“

“A popular spot for a reason!! The vibe is very fun. Sometimes you can get dancing on tables on weekends - it depends. Seats fill up fast.
One note: they could make the outdoor area more lively so more people are inclined to sit there. Right now there are some great seating options but the vibe pales to inside.
Maybe add some lights? Low volume music? Water station?

“We’re visiting from out of town, and I came here with a friend who drove in from San Jose to spend the day with. We went on a Saturday for brunch, and we got the breakfast pizza to share with a side of bacon and roasted potatoes. The pizza and bacon were delicious, but the potatoes I would pass. I think they were over cooked and bland.

Also got a cafe au lait, and it was served in bowl! Super cute.“

“The Press Club delivered supreme service as always. My star rating was not based on my experience tonight at the R&B and wine event, but my experience in general. Tonight my rating was 3.5 stars in service only because my sister and I got a lemon drop (not a double) and a tonic water and it was $35! The restaurant took it upon themselves to add gratuity automatically. I don't know if this is the rule in general or just the event, but regardless it was very off putting.“

The portions were generous and the food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. As a nice touch, they even took a Polaroid picture of us with their own camera to commemorate the occasion—what a thoughtful gesture!

Buffet is an incredible deal with lots of dishes, Chai, salad, samosas and pakoras, pickles and dessert all included, and delicious. Did I mention that prices are really reasonable? “Excellent wine from a carefully curated wine list. We had the sparkling Zinfandel, the Riesling, and the Crozes Hermitage. Food was okay, not great. Attentive service and a nice atmosphere. Overall quite expensive for what it was. I would say this place does not provide good value for money.“

“Some of the top dishes were the small delicacies goose barnacles (more because of their rarity; the taste was a bit chewy but still interesting), bread, and soft shell crab; pheasant; charcoal-grilled black pork; double-boiled quail soup; and almond feather cake. Really nice pairings. Exquisitely timed service. Some of my less favorite dishes included the caviar-stuffed tomato small delicacy (more just because I'm not always a tomato fan), abalone (again, not necessarily due to its quality, but I'm not a fan of its chewy firm texture), quail (maybe I was full by the time of this dish, but I just didn't find it all that seasoned or appetizing except the soup version). I don't understand the extreme minimalist decor/ambiance. Certainly it forces a focus on the food, but it seems like the decor could be a bit more elegant and matched to the cuisine.
