“Service is excellent! Food is really good, the all you can eat steak was good not great. Some cuts like ribeye and tri tip stood out while others like the lamb and h&h steak did not . Salad bar and self-serve choices were delicious. Very nice ambience and once again the entire staff was excellent! Drinks were tasty! Definitely got my fill.

“My wife took me here to celebrate my birthday because I wanted to come here. I haven't been to this BOA location in like 10 years so it was long overdue. My wife made reservations and put we were celebrating a birthday. When we arrived to the place, we did the valet parking in front of the restaurant. It's credit card only with the valet so be aware of that. We then walked into the restrauant and checked in, they took us to our table right away. The inside of the restrauant is very nice, exclusive and feel like a luxury place. When we got seated our waiter Abbey came to greet us and told us about their special today. She took our drinks order which was just soda with free refills because I asked since at another place they didn't tell me it wasn't free refills. We already knew what we wanted so when she came back with our drinks, we put in our order. My wife got the Chilean Sea Bass because she was deciding between that or the Linguine with Clams but Abbey said the Sea Bass was a better choice. I went with the Filet center cut at medium with the peppercorn sauce since you get 1 free sauce. We also got regular fries and original Mac & cheese. Our entree came out first and then they brought out the sides after. My filet mignon was delicious, cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The peppercorn sauce was good as well but I like my filet more without it. My wife totally loved her Sea Bass, just wish it was a bigger portion because it was delicious. My fries was great as well because I'm more of a French fries person and my wife enjoyed her Mac & cheese. All of the employees here are amazing, they will keep an eye on your table and if there any mess or finished plates then they'll come take care of it. The owner stopped by and ask us about our experience to which we told him we were having an amazing time. We ended the night with a carrot cake that Abbey brought out to us and it was good as well since I never had a carrot cake. I would recommend coming here if you want to try a great steakhouse. We didn't have any issues with the valet and I checked my car hidden dashcam where it records the inside of the car to which the valet driver was respectful since I saw other reviews with bad experiences. They also charge a labor subcharge here so be aware but it's not too bad.

“What an incredible anniversary experience my wife and I had. Even being coincidentally sat at the actual table where we got engaged years ago was very special. The staff was amazing as always, and Wolf even came by to wish us a happy anniversary which was pretty cool. This has long been my favorite overall restaurant by far, and it still holds the title. “This review is for dining on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at LA Prime Steakhouse at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, CA. I apologize in advance for this lengthy review. 😊 Overall, our party of 4 had a very enjoyable evening. We arrived about 15 minutes before our 6pm reservations and had our pick for a table right by the windows facing North. The sky was clear, the view of the city below us and the mountains in the distance was great. The service was excellent from our servers Mark & Maria (aka M&M as they mentioned and made it very easy to remember their names 😊). Both were very friendly and attentive. The pace for our evening was exceptional. We did not feel rushed, were given ample time to browse the menu, enjoy our drinks and starters before the entrees were brought out. Mark or Maria would periodically come by to ask how our meal was, if we wanted another drink, whether we needed anything else and with the refills of water and coffee. Now, as for the food, I will say it was “good”, but not exceptional or 5 stars. Starters: Wagyu Carpaccio, Oysters Rockefeller & 2 orders Escargot – I ordered the Oysters Rockefeller. They were about medium sized oysters and somewhat tasty. I was disappointed that they oysters were not released from the shell before cooking, making it difficult and messy to scrape out of the shell or to use a knife to release the oyster. Others that tried the oysters had the same issue. I tried one escargot and found the size to be pretty small. They definitely needed more garlic, more butter and some parsley or herbs. Others felt the same. One of the best parts I enjoy with escargot is using the bread to dip into the garlic butter sauce. YUM. Entrees: 2 Prime Rib entrees (1 medium rare & 1 end cut). Good portions as menu states 18 oz., tender, good marbling, looked delicious. I had the end cut expecting bold flavors from the seasoning, but found it lacking in flavor. The horseradish and au jus helped a little. The Yorkshire Pudding was a bit strange. It was not at all what I was expecting. I’m accustomed to something like a mini Dutch baby pancake or it being light and airy with a big puff crown top, like I would get at Lawry’s or Tam O’Shanter. What we got was somewhat dense, maybe collapsed, muffin shaped and something I would not have guessed as a Yorkshire Pudding by the looks or taste of it. Party also ordered the Lobster Thermidor and the Filet Mignon with Lobster Tail. Filet was cooked nicely and was tender. The Lobster Thermidor and Lobster Tail was not tender, somewhat dry and a bit chewy. I’m not sure if it was the quality or maybe being overcooked. They did not enjoy these entrees. Sides: Asparagus Spears with Hollandaise Sauce were nicely cooked. Sauteed Mushroom Ragout – I think this was mostly chanterelle mushrooms. Do not recall any shitake or button mushrooms. I did not care for this. Creamed Spinach looked good, but I did not try this. After dinner, we looked at the city lights from our window table and enjoyed the delicious Starbucks coffee they served. We didn’t leave any room for desserts. SUMMARY: Ambiance & View – 5 out of 5 Stars Service – 5 out of 5 Stars Food – 4 out of 5 Stars Great place to try at least once. Food may be a bit overpriced and overall under seasoned. Service was excellent. You’re mainly paying for the view and experience. Our party had a great time and wonderful evening there. Would I go again anytime soon… probably not. There are too many restaurants in the city to try and there are always new ones popping up.“

“We came here for a coworker's birthday. They called ahead and prepared a special menu with our names on it, along with homemade cheesecake and whipped cream. We ordered the prime rib, broccoli and French onion soup. For the price, I would rate the steak 8.5/10. The service and ambiance of the restaurant was great. Highly recommended for dates, family dinners or corporate/clients.“

“We had 30 guests for a corporate steak dinner after a real estate industry conference we all attended. I worked with our server beforehand, pre-ordering apps, meals, sides, desserts and making it family style. Our incredible server, along with the amazing chefs did soooooo well accommodating our HUGE party. Apps and bread came out as soon as we were seated. The main entrees and sides came out right on time and the crowd was won over with the desserts. We decided to order a few bottles of wine for the table which was helpful in keeping things running smoothly. The staff here was so wonderful!“

“Check-in in front desk people were extremely rude. Availability of tables for a party of six is super limited. They only had one table by the door. The steak is good, but everything else really not that great. The waiters are very polite, but the service is super slow. We went to the one in Marina del Rey, horrible neighborhood Very sketchy many homeless people. You don't wanna be there at night.“

“I don’t usually like to complain but I have to comment on how disappointing the sundae was. It’s $13 and says on the menu “enough to share!” What we got was two scoops of ice cream, a dollop of whipped cream and hot fudge. When the server put it down, I thought it was a mistake. Definitely not worth $13 or enough to share.

They also ran out of the shrimp and grits after we had ordered, and didn’t tell us until everyone else had their food already.

Otherwise, the atmosphere was great. And the rest of the food was pretty good. They did also bring us a second dessert to make up for the missing shrimp and grits.

So, hopefully this was just an off night.“

“This place is awesome. You can't beat the view. Definitely worth the extra wait to get a window seat. Food was great, drinks were great, but this place is expensive. I guess you get what you pay for. Highly recommend for special events. I took my wife here for our anniversary. We had a great time!“
