“They were out of chicken, food took forever and it was Luke warm with the same flavors I remember but now less meat. It's a huge serving of rice with a bit of meat. I have to say I was disappointed at a few things but I still ate good I wished they had a microwave I could heat it up on.“

“We had lunch here the other day. There is a ton of parking available. You will find Shootz in the back right corner of Rodeo 39. It is a small and comfortable space.

We started with two refreshers to drink. We got a mango green tea lemonade and a strawberry pineapple lemonade. Both were delicious and refreshing.

We got an order of spam brulee musubi. The combinations of flavors was so good. Also, get some kimchi butter to dunk the musubi in.

Next up was a katsu chicken sando. The chicken is basted in kimchi butter. It is topped with mac salad. It is so simple and yet so delicious. I also dunked the sando in kimchi butter.

We also got a shrimp and katsu mix plate. We poured kimchi butter all over it. The shrimp were large and delicious. The katsu was crispy and flavorful. I loved that there was a good portion of rice and mac salad served with it.

Comforting Hawaiian food and great service make this a place I cannot wait to come back to.“

“Just got back from Waikiki. Service was great. Food was o.k. did the chicken katsu, and the 3 meat plate. There was gristle, bone, fat, etc. Zippy's and Rainbow drive in blow this place out of the water (in Waikiki). Those are in and out spots, no gristle, fat you can't chew, bone pieces. Where's the spam? Anyhow, tried it. It's o.k. won't go back. Does not represent the food in waikiki.“

“We went here for the first time recently. The food was good and the person that took our order was very nice. I asked for extra sauce for the chicken katsu which they happily put in the bag that was sitting on the counter, but unfortunately that wasn’t the bag that our food was put in. When we got home, which is 15 minutes away, I opened it to find no sauce at all for the chicken katsu. That’s my favorite part of that meal 😭😭. It was super annoying but luckily we had taken some of their house sauce which is yummy, the food and people were nice, and the prices aren’t outrageous. We’ll try again in the future. I also wish they had mixed plates so we could get multiple meats. We ended up ordering 3 meals so my husband could have it for lunch the next day.“

“Poke Island is our favorite go to place for poke as they are clean, fresh, fast service. A bonus is they also have boba milk and fruit teas.“

“Was in the area and saw this poke spot was close. I stopped in and the food looked really fresh and there was plenty of people inside and it was only 11:30. I ordered the large with 5 scoops and it filled me up. If I’m back in the area I will definitely have to stop and eat again“

“Just get the short ribs... Trust me. Worth a 25 minute one way drive.

The rest of their food is solid, though after multiple times I'd say the chicken is consistently on the dry side (sauce does help).

Service is generally friendly. Atmosphere is a bit on the light side (meaning not a lot of depth)... We always just do pickup.“

“Came when it wasn't busy. Shared a large poke bowl between the 2 of us which was plenty of food. We ordered salmon, tuna, albacore, and tempura shrimp as our proteins and liked that they offered seaweed salad, mango, mandarin, tamago, edamame, ginger, smelt egg as toppings.
It was a little warm when we stayed indoors to eat. They also had outdoor seating.“

“If you’re looking for freshly cooked food, stop here. This place is a little shop hidden in a shopping center. It wasn’t crowded on a Saturday afternoon about noon when I entered. The gentleman immediately asked if I wanted to order while he put together another order. As I reviewed the menu, I ordered chicken bowl and some soup. The food took a little bit of time to get but I was okay knowing that my food was cooked to order. The gentleman did mention that I could call it in before picking up. The price was about $14 to $16 per item and we got it to go. The food was extremely hot so be careful handling. The only thing I would look to change would ask for the teriyaki sauce be separated as the rice soaked up the sauce leaving my chicken a bit dry…. but still tasty. They even give you little candies and I also received a punch card for future orders which was fun and will be returning.“

“Stopped to eat here on my way home from hiking in Angeles National Forest. Best poke bowl I have had yet in California!!! So fresh and staff were so lovely. Great spot also to sit outside and eat. Will 💯 be my forever spot for poke after a long hike.“

“Okay, I’ve been dying to come here and finally did after having my baby since i wasn’t able to eat raw fish for 9 long months. The Poke Co. has been on my eye and i was not disappointed. Food was fresh and delicious. Aside from the amazing food, the customer service was exceptional. There’s always good food but there’s not always good service but this place has both. Christian helped me and he was super helpful and even gave recommendations. I was surprised to see he was a trainee! Great employee! I will return for the food and to be helped by Christian!“

“Food is great and lunch special is the best super deal! Place looks good ONLY 1 issue the drink station is bad looks like it has some rust and old dry liquid that escapes from it I think all that rust is in the ice and maybe in the water that mixes with the soda they need to change it or get it maintained as you can see in pictures it’s been like this for a while…“

“I was able to come here twice while on business. I did enjoy all the variety of toppings to the 3 or 5 protein bowl. The rice was great for the foundation.I tried the volcano 2 and spicy mayo combo and couldn't really taste the heat at all. Probably needed more flavoring. A but bland. But the bowl size and portion for 5 protein is good. 15.99. Adding an avocado baby scoop is probably worth it at 1.50 extra to give your bowl extra texture. Enjoyed the bowl. Spice up the sauces.“

Reminds me of a NYC Automat only a 21st-century interpretation with self-service menu ordering terminals, no coin or currency, smartphone updates, and access to retrieving your order from numbered/lettered lockers. Very clean, fast service, and no on premises dining. Many restaurants and foods are featured. Location is in a light industrial area and well traveled. I recommend you try this place.“

“It was good. I really enjoyed my poke bowl, and so did my asian mother who actualy doesn’t enjoy very much of anything not Chinese. My mother was kicking and screaming when I suggested the hanger. She was originally going to go somewhere else but I was very surprised when she brought a poke bowl back to our table. And she liked it. I ate a large, ate a half of a bowl, and brought the rest home. Put it in the fridge and took it out and just ate it and it was good! Some places the rice and other stuff isn’t good quality anymore, but nope this was just dandy. I got the brown rice, the salmon, albacore, spicy tuna, and octopus. I got most of everything. Got the asian sauce and the spicy mayo. I am accustomed to having poke bowls not as often but sometimes. But for my mother who I didn’t think would like it, to like it thats pretty good. It was her first time eating a poke bowl too.“

I weil suggest “easy rice” for less rice and the chicken/spam were cooked/sauced perfectly.I’d definitely come back and try their other menu items.“

“This used to be L&L Hawaiian Food and over night was LB Hawaiian BBQ. The food got a bit better and everything stayed the same. The last two times we went in though the taste of the food has been different and my son didn't want to eat (he's 10). It's a place we really like so we'll give it another try to see.“

“We really enjoy the Loft Hawaiian food. They closed the really big nice one in Torrance and now there are multiple small ones with simple decor. The food is still amazing but the atmosphere is a bit less than the big restaurant was. I recommend everything but my favorite dishes are. Lomi Salmon, spam musubi, island style fried chicken, lau law and of course the kalua pork. It seems like everything comes with rice and macaroni salad. 😋 so good. I don't think you can go wrong here everything is delicious.“

“I am from out of town i am here visiting my sister in the hospital. I was looking for a good teryaki plate for my wife and I. I read reviews and I decided to try hi bbq. The customer service was great,the price was good and the food was excellent. The ginger dressing was tangy and really good for the salad. The chicken and steak was flavorful and the macaroni salad was really good. Until my sister comes home this will be the place we will go to. If you are looking for really good food at a good price I highly recommend hi bbq. Also the staff was really nice and the place is very comfortable.“

Went to Check on Pancakes 5 Staff Standing Around Talking. Was told Pancakes were coming. After 10 minutes they finally arrived. Other Customers were having Service Problems Too.“

“I got in contact with the owner she was extremely helpful polite generous and kind.I had them cater our senior community luau of 200 people and it was such a great event and everyone enjoyed the food and even grabbed seconds.
