“The space is spacious and airy. On weekends, if you go early, it will help users. I really like stir-fried snails with coconut and fried rice with shrimp and crab. The staff is very cute and enthusiastic, I will come back. Reasonable price with the great quality.“
“Food was amazing. Service was excellent. Like any Asian establishment.... its plain simple and quick. Sit down....order...eat....leave. plenty of parking and friendly staff. Definitely recommend it to everyone. Their bread was also fresh and out of this world.“
“Nice meat quality. Thin cuts. Love their Prime grade beef. Self serve vegetable/seafood island lots of choices. Most important to mention is their meat quality does not downgraded lower after my 2nd or more order. Highly recommend this Shabu-shabu restaurant. Leaving with a very full and satisfied experience.“
“The food is amazing, the place is clean, and the staff was nice and polite. They have a 1 and a half hour time limit, so don't be surprised when they try to kick you out. A bit too loud with people talking and the music, but if you enjoy those environments, go ahead. I enjoyed it.Parking: They have a parking lot with room for many cars so enjoy.Kid-friendliness: I saw a few toddlers and they gave them a high seat so I think kids can go there.“
“The best service I've seen at a Shabu place!I'm allergic to peanuts and eggs, which most Shabu places I've found have not been very accommodating. But Miss Shabu has the most friendly staff as they wrote on the menu notes on what foods I'm allergic to and which ones are good. They were very efficient with setting up our table of 16 and were flexible when we had less people than expected. The food was really good for a decent price. For dinner and drinks and tea, we spent about $50 and got 2 different soup bases, had many different types of sides, and plates on top of plates of meat. Definitely recommend this Shabu place if you were looking for one in Buena Park.“
“Everything from the entrance to seating, vibe /music & of course food. Everyone has been so friendly & attentive & the food is fresh, savory & delicious. Feels like we're visiting friends. We'll definitely be coming by more.“
“We frequent this place often. My favorite is The Spicy Beef clear noodle vegetable soup (Yuk Kae Jung) is very god here. Bibimbab is another very good dish. Their food all around is pretty good. Small mom and pop kind of place. Sometime we dine in and other times we order to go. Always good food and never had any issues of the years.“
“At first we were skeptical because of the seating arrangement, but after tasting the AYCE broth and meat we were amazed. The host whom we believe is the owner of the establishment was very interactive and attentive. Would we come back? Yes we will.“
“I had Tabu Shabu saved for a long time because I wanted to try it and I'm so glad I did. My husband and I came here on a Friday night and our server Kathy's customer service was just amazing. She was very attentive and super friendly. The food was so good!! My husband isn't really a big fan of shabu but he loved this place and thought it was so good! Our first time here was 10/10. The food, the service, and the vibes were just on point. We love the owner Dana! Kathy, Everest, Ray and all of the other people that work there were so nice! We will definitely be back!“
“Great food. Excellent staff! We were traveling in the area and stopped in. Never heard of Shabu, but the staff was so kind to explain the whole process. Lots of different options. Great for families with different tastes. Definitely recommend!“
“First Timer and we enjoyed it very much. We live in the city but always drove by. We were glad we tried Slice. Very clean granite stove tables, waiter was informative, helpful and great service. Dined in and finished entrees without leaving a crumb. Soup and Veggies are all you can eat. Amount of meat is first ordered. No sticky tables and presentation done well and adds to enjoyment.“
“For my first time eating hot pot, it was delicious! I had the miso broth. It was really good, the tom yum broth was also good. My favorite meat was the beef toro! I kept ordering it. All the sides were good. The shrimp was good. The egg and grass noodles were so good. I recommend it!“
“This review has to be pure FIRE!!! That honor goes to Fusion Corner, which is one of the OC's (kinda) newest hot spots. Trust me when I say you do NOT want to miss out on this place!I went in with a bunch of foodie friends to try out some of their Asian fusion cuisine, and every single dish was off the hook! Everything they post on their social media is exactly what you get. This place has a casual vibe, and it's a great place for family and friends to gather. We started off with the Fried Roe Fish Balls and Popcorn Chicken. The fish balls came out hot and fresh, and they were slightly crispy on the outside with the soft texture you'd expect on the inside. The chicken was really good, crispy, and not greasy at all. I liked the dipping sauces they both came with, too. Next up was their famous Lomo Saltado Fries. O M G!!! This had me salivating when I saw it from afar before they even set it down on the table. The shaken beef on top of those perfectly fried, crisp fries was a party in my mouth all by itself! The final dish was the Back-Rib Pho, which has got to be the sexiest, beefiest bowl of pho to have ever hit my palate! I mean.. do you see those humongous beef ribs?! We had so much food left over AFTER we tasted everything. We each got to pack a doggy bag when we couldn't finish it all. You already know my motto: "Don't waste!!" LOL!To wash it all down, we had Thai Milk Tea (comes caffeinated or not, your choice), and the Lychee Rose Tea. I had the latter, and I loved every last drop of it. They even garnish the top to make it pretty, and I love pretty drinks!Parking was not the greatest, as it is extremely limited next to an apartment complex. I parked in the Wendy's lot next door (oopsie, lol). Prices here are very reasonable!! The employees are super friendly and answered any questions we had.I highly recommend Fusion Corner if you have an insatiable appetite but also want to keep your wallet happy. The best part is these guys are open late late, like 1 am late! Don't waste another minute. Make your way to Fusion Corner NOW!!! ;)“
“Yummy food! The rice is perfect. I usually get grilled pork (not the pork chop) and shredded pork or a fried egg. The service is quick and the owner is very friendly. There are several TV's and music for entertainment. The bathroom is clean.“
“Shabuya is the largest all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu restaurant I know. It offers unlimited supplies of meat, vegetables, seafood, and various options of ingredients for shabu-shabu. After choosing the soup I want, I simply need to select the type of meat and request it from the server. However, during busy times, it's advisable to order in advance to avoid waiting for the server for too long, as it can be frustrating. They provide various vegetables, seafood, dumplings, tofu, noodles, and more, so I can take as much as I want and make my own sauce. Once I've chosen my soup and added various seafood and vegetables to enhance the flavor, I start my meal. Personally, I enjoy adding seafood to the broth for flavor and dipping it in hot sauce, then adding meat first and enjoying it with vegetables alternately.I recommend finishing about 90% of the meal and then enjoying the remaining 10% with udon, ramen, dumpling soup, or other desired choices. Among them, I highly recommend adding eggs and rice to make egg porridge, which is the best way to conclude the meal. The egg porridge, made by boiling the remaining vegetables and meat, always tastes exquisite. I highly recommend this restaurant where you can enjoy making and eating delicious meals yourself.Parking: The parking lot size is large, but on weekends, it's not easy to find space, so you may need to park a bit further away.“
“Comfort food!! Delicious variety of soups and garlic noodles! The garlic noodles were packed with flavor and the green sauce that came with it was AMAZING! I like my soup hot so it was nice to have it boiling and you’re able to request it to turn off at anytime. I also love the dipping sauces. Service was AMAZING! Everyone was so friendly and we even got some milk tea at the end of our meal??“
“This place checks off so many requirements for a pho place, plus a bonus one I never knew I needed:✅ Great pho✅ High quality meat✅ Super reasonable price✅ Open late✅ Takes cc / mobile payment? Bonus feature is they have nhau food like scallops, abalone, so huyet. So my pho-hating wife can still join me and get the seafood stuff that she likes.Menu is diverse, and I definitely want to try the rice dishes. But so worth the visit. Finally found our new go-to spot.“
“What a great place. Did Meal A all you can eat. Angus Beef and Wagu Toro great. Mussels ang egg a must for me. Love the squash and veggies. Only thing I wish they had was Sriracha or Garlic Chili and not just hot chili oil. Wait can be long but can check in on line sometimes you can get an immediate seat at the bar. Worth the wait.“
“Craving for hotpot so found a joint 45 mins away from the Desert Hills outlet enroute to the hotel. Man, so good, especially when having hotpot during cold weather. But think we ordered too much meat. This was fatty belly and ribeye cut from premium black angus beef. This makes for another perfect day!“
“One of the most classic Vietnamese restaurants I have been to. They have so many great dishes!Highlights of the menu:1. Egg rolls - Chả Giò2. Salt and pepper shrimp - Tôm Rang Muối3. Chicken curry - Cary Gà4. Crispy baked catfish - Cá Nướng5. Deep fried banana with rum flame & vanilla ice cream - Chuối Chiên & kem6. Pennyworth juice - Rau má7. Thai milk tea8. Passion fruit juice“
“Came here for shabu shabu recently. The presentation is on point, I like the three-tier serving tray! It's as if you're having afternoon tea; just replace the pastries and scones with protein and seafood! Each table had built-in induction cooktops to keep the pot boiling. If you prefer outdoor dining and you brought your furry companion, there's additional seating in the dog-friendly patio. They don't force everyone to get their own personal hot pot, but if you want a broth refill there is an additional charge if you choose to share. Broths we tried - White is a short rib and oxtail base. Fairly basic and clean tasting by itself. Red is similar but with chili paste added. It had a little more depth to it and the spice level was tolerable. Their namesake dPot broth (kelp, pollack, anchovy, vegetables) is definitely plain, but not a dealbreaker once you add things to the pot since that adds to the flavor. Protein - American Style Wagyu Beef Galbi Eye was thin slices of very high fat, thoroughly marbled meat. Takes just a couple of seconds swishing it in the broth for it to cook, with the far rendering very quickly. For something that's more lean, choose the Prime Chuck Top Blade. Quality for both was great. The Seafood option (combination of scallops, shrimp, crab, mussels, calamari) was fresh. We were also given fish cake balls, dumplings, and cubes of tofu to boil. Vegetables - a very large serving of healthy things. Napa cabbage, kale, bok choy, corn, onions, kabocha, broccoli, and like three types of mushrooms from what I remember. Sauces - Ponzu was a bit sour. Goma was more pleasant. Udon (thick wheat flour noodles), Kalguksu (hand cut noodles) and Potato Sujebi (hand-pulled dough) were all tasty additions, it just comes down to personal preference. If you're not getting hot pot, they have braised short ribs, army stew, steamed buns, dumplings, and seiro-mushi (Japanese method of steaming meat and vegetables in a wooden box). Prices are just okay. A lot of the things that are complementary at shabu shabu places elsewhere are extra charges here, or nonexistent. And I'd rather go somewhere that has more variety and flexibility in choosing specific ingredients. But I liked it and I wouldn't be opposed to another visit.“
“The food was delicious and the service was great! They provided us extra service when asked for the fish cake with cheese (which I highly recommend getting). Overall I would recommend coming here for regular dinner or dinner with friends with a little“
“Big communal seating for big parties makes this place really popular for group gatherings. Ordering via a tablet is excellent, everyone got what they wanted and the sauces are good too. The staff is super friendly and we didn't feel rushed either. Definitely will be coming back for more next time.“
“I visit many different Thai restaurants. I happened to be in Huntington Beach and saw this listed for Thai. I am so impressed. I wish this was where I live. The food was outstanding. I ordered my favorite cashew chicken spice level 5. Yes, level 5. I was not disappointed. I loved it. My wife ordered a mango chicken flavored meal.(sorry I can not think of what it was called). I got to try a bite and loved it also. The staff was very friendly and the service was spot on. Thank you for the warm welcome and wonderful service. I look forward to returning whenever I am in the neighborhood. I highly recommend this place if you love Thai food.“
“This restaurant has left a lasting impression on me, and I've already visited twice with plans to return. Their service is warm and attentive, the dishes are exquisite and delicious, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Each visit makes me feel right at home, whether I'm dining with family or friends or enjoying a romantic evening with a partner. It's a restaurant worth recommending, and I look forward to my next visit.“
“I ain't no Vietnamese, but this place is daym good...... After me and my wife got a haircut, the Vietnamese hair stylist told us to come here. Good Hu Tieu. whatever that was.My wife had some dry noodles. I had the..Hu Tieu/mi xa something.....forgot the rest...On the menu with pictures, it was the dish on 2 row, 2nd picture from the left. The dish I ordered had soup. I chose egg noodles...I think.IT.WAS.GOOD. I enjoyed this noodle very much. Soup was flavorful. They gave you red peppers and that gave a nice spicy kick to the soup.again, I ain't no Vietnamese, and if you are a Vietnamese and this place ain't good, feel free to call me out.........but I felt legit and this place was good.“
“This is my favorite shabu place in OC. It's a little out of the way for me, but I am willing to make the trip. The flavor of the broth is on point, the presentation of the proteins and veggies is nice, and the appetizers...the apps! Such a good selection where other shabu places fall short. On top of that, service is really attentive and you can tell they do their best.“
“We at on the other side and not the buffet style side. I'm only back in California for a couple days and wanted hot pot so I went to this place. Delicious as always! When I lived here I always loved it. BUT do not buy the sugarcane here it taste weird other than that food is delicious and restaurant is very spacious.“
“Came here 08/27/2023.This is authentic Korean family-style food. It's not necessarily a pocha or alcohol anju place, but it can be. This restaurant is similar in vibe and food style to Dine Korean Restaurant on Malvern if anyone is familiar.Food:Authentic Korean food with a variety of healthy banchan. Great value for the money. We got the bossam + fresh oyster and braised fish (dunno the English translation - silver cod?). These two dishes easily filled a family of 4 with some leftovers.Service:Service is relatively slow and they have a hard time turning over tables since there are only 2-3 waitresses and one busser. Lots of golf groups that come in during evening and night which causes a holdup.Ambiance:Loud and bustling, family style. Come with friends.“
“Thiss is a good restaurant for any foodies. They have goood cook and enthusiast server who know what is good and fir for customers need. I came for a promo of two Nam Vang rice noodle got a free chiken rice. So far I am happy with just the rice noodle alone. They taste great. Flavourul and good portion. I will update on the chiken rice later. The nam vang come with dried or soup version. They come with some organ meat, shimp, fish ball, squid, pork, pork grind. If u order a dried version and not well versed in chopstick technique, maybe ask them for premix before bring to u as it quickly sticky together. But definitely worth every bite. I still feel little bit tempted for little more nooodle beca how good the sauce it was drowning in.Wheelchair accessibility: No stair, just roll in. Plenty of moveable table and plenty of space“
“This place has been on my try list for a while and finally got a chance with my friends. It was a first for all of us. The service was good and attentive. The food was good, I enjoyed the balance of the mango salad and the sauce on the snails. The squid and the hot pot was okay. Definitely a place I would come back to try other dishes.“
“Hot Pot City is our go to place when we want hot pot but don't want to wait in a long line. It really is an underrated place for hot pot! There's 3 different broths to choose from: regular, spicy, and Thai, and we usually get a split pot of Thai and spicy for an additional price. They also have a grill surrounding the pot, so the pot is slightly small. There is a fridge in the back to get all your items: vegetables, meat, seafood, sides, butter, noodles, and sauces. There's also rice in the back that you can get yourselves. I really love the ribeye here. I feel like the plates are tiny, but the marination is delish! We also always get the salmon, fish balls, and vegetables. The restaurant isn't the cleanest, especially because there's the grill there. I definitely feel a bit dirty after leaving. Just think kbbq vibes lol. The prices were raised a LOT for the small plates, but still overall decent and I will definitely keep coming back!“
“This is the restaurant to go to if you want authentic Vietnamese food. We ordered a medium baked catfish that came with an assortment of veggies, vermicelli noodles, and rice paper so we could make our own rolls. The skin of the fish was extra crispy while the flesh was juicy. It was absolutely delicious! They had a variety of dipping sauces. I loved the tamarind sauce. We also ordered the Cuon Ca Be Xanh, which is pork belly and shrimp wrapped in a green leaf veggie, kinda like a green leaf lettuce. It was soooooo yummy! The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated. There was classical jazz playing in the background, which created a romantic ambiance. Nice place for a date when you want Vietnamese food! Our server was pleasant and took good care of us. I highly recommend this restaurant!“
“This Lollicup is the best boba place in the area. Jean is an excellent cook. I tried her beef soup, ribs, and chicken wings during different visits. The service was great. For drinks one can choose how much sugar can go into it. I like tapioca and custard in my drinks. They have caffeinated items, like coffee, tea and beverages with no caffeine, too! Try Jean's Peppermint Mocha blizzard coffee, to die for. I like the Sunny Mango slushy drink. Great location and ambiance. Fun gifts and treats for kids. I'm a teacher and get "surprises " for my prize box. They have a clean restroom, and nice clean seating in their dining room. It's close to my teacher supply store. So it's an inexpensive place to recover from this economy and the teacher store. Fun vibe with music and quaint decor. Thank you, Jean and family.“
“This is my go-to hot pot spot in OC. I stopped going to boiling point a long time ago. They have such a long line, pricey, and a small portion. This place always has a plenty of seats with a nice ambiance, and customer service is very quick and efficient. If you go there for lunch, they give you free iced black/green tea. I“
“Really enjoyed this place. I wanted one of everything all at the same time. I opted for the Sirloin steak on a hot sizzling lava stone, so it never ever got cold. It's a little more fatty than I like, but it's still really good.“
“I've come here to eat several times and have never been disappointed. Grilled chicken feet with satay is very delicious and delicious. The hot pots cannot be criticized, especially the silkworm fish hotpot and goby fish hotpot with giang leaves. If you have the chance, everyone should come and try the food here. Note that the weekend of Friday and Saturday is quite crowded, so if you want to go, you can go on a weekday or Sunday so you can enjoy better with family, relatives, or friends.“
“Food is excellent. Some staff are friendly, some look miserable to be there. Better to get there early! They do get busy fast during lunch/dinner hours. My go-to menu is the marinated beef belly (toro) with either sukiyaki or chicken broth. Taken few of my friends there and they absolutely love this place. Party of 2 must sit at the bar and 3 or more, tables. Writing this review is making me hungry. I'm going tomorrow lol“
