“Great food, great wine and beer. The place is awesome.“
“At Raven’s Reach Winery, you'll find amazing wines and top-notch service. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, making you feel right at home. And the wines? They're simply outstanding, with each sip taking you on a delicious journey. Whether you're a wine aficionado or just curious, Raven’s Reach Winery is a must-visit destination that will leave you wanting more.“
“What an establishment. one could not go wrong stopping here. The food was to die for, the wines were DELISH. There is a wine for everybody even the non drinkers have coffee and different refreshments. VIEW IS SPECTACULAR… nestled in the hills of Amador county. Lanelle was our host and was EXTREMELY versed in all product knowledge and went the extra mile to ensure the experience was a blast. The whole staff made the LA Mesa Vineyard experience spectacular.“
“Great music great food and a lot of fun“
“This plus is a A+ wine tasting place. This is my second time and it just keeps getting better and better. The service and the wines are so very awesome. The 1869 is so very mellow for a bold red. When I came here 2/23 u tried it, bought a bottle and when I got back home ordered three more bottles for my cellar. Both time ran into new friends especially as I ran into a lady that is is a Sagittarius as well as the horse in the Asian zodiac as me. We bantered back and fourth and we both swear we have previously meet. Great wines and service.“
“We had a great visit to this winery. It's situated right off the road and the first thing you see was the dog sculpture.
Our host Mack did an incredible job with our wine tasting for our large group. We were seated outside and he led us through the tasting with funny stories and even brought out other wines for us to try. We learned a lot about the winery and the history of winemaking in Plymouth.
We even tried the wine slushy, which was delicious.
The charcuterie plate that accompanied our wine tasting was delicious and beautifully presented too.
There was only a small bar inside for seating so we were seated outdoors. I wish there were some shade or heat lamps. The big building was closed the day of our visit. There were lots of benches and seating outside but they were unprotected from the sun and wind so we were a bit cold.“
“My favorite winery in the area by a long shot. I love their wines, but the real key here is the people and place. The moment you walk through the door there is a different vibe. This is not a pretentious winery. It is one that you bring large groups to and let everyone enjoy themselves. Every wine tender you may get is easy going and fun to chat with.
The grounds are beautiful and it's easy to get an area to setup with a bottle and hangout outside. I have brought more people to this winery than literally any other and will continue to do so. Could not recommend enough.“
“Beautiful Vinyard 😍 Dewey is the best, he allowed me to go on the private land to see the most beautiful Sunset I've ever seen.“
“Definitely 5 stars ⭐️
Love the service and atmosphere here
David and George are amazing
Wine is imported from Georgia and has a unique taste
Mukuzani is my favorite one
Recommend it for all my friends ❤️“
“Lovely wine great staff awesome burgers“
“Always fun, always great wine and great food and great staff.“
“Beautiful location and delicious wines.“
““The Joy of Wine” is quite fitting.” Our intro to good wine began with a 40th anniversary trip to Amador wine country and Napa Valley.
We visited Rombauer in the Sierra Foothills in May 2024 and absorbed the beauty and serenity while sipping a couple of wines at the walk-up window. The staff was accommodating and knowledgeable. The Chardonnay was exceptional.
Since then, we learned that Rombauer is Certified California Sustainable, NAPA Green, and Fish Friendly. After another trip in August to NOTL, we upgraded to purchase only those wines that are exclusively Sustainable, Organic, or Biodynamic.
This summer we were delighted to find Rombauer Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc at our local supermarket and Total Wine store. The Chardonnay is oak aged, buttery and delightful. The Sauvignon Blanc is fruity, sweet, and refreshing.
The Rombauer Merlot and Zinfandel are also carried by our local Total Wine and are on our shopping list. We look forward to enjoying them as well. We may need to join the wine club soon!
Cheers to Rombauer!“
“Incredibly friendly staff owners welcome you into this rustic jewel of Amador County. Come for the setting and atmosphere but most definitely stay for the wine!“
“Knowing how to say their name right was the hard part. Drinking their awesome wine was the easy part. Excellent blending technique here IMHO. Really nice couple of owners too, talking wines with us, precisely why Amador is best place for winery hopping.“
“Having explored most of the wineries in the Shenandoah Valley I highly recommend this one. Their wines are wonderful, grown on their own land, and the servers are very knowledgeable. I would only hope that they could be open more hours so others can enjoy.“
“Very good place. They have new owners and I found a wine that my neighbor was wanting. I’m sure Jessica will like this on. The new owners are so very nice and took some time to talk with us even though the event going on there is called THE BIG CRUSH and they draw a LOT of people to this event. Cheers 🥂“
“We measure all other wines by the wines at Cooper. We love the Barbera, the Primitivo, the Grenache and the Grand Viognier.“
“Great hospitality and signature Zinfandel wines! Great views, wonderful landscape and owners that care about your experience.“
“This new place is awesome. The staff is great. Great wines too. They do have food but didn’t try as I was not hungry then. But the food looks good too. I recommend this place to anyone. And they have a great hang out area and view outside.“
“Beautiful view and great customer service..“
“Greatest Halloween party ever“
“A few years ago I visited Rob’s quaint tasking room in downtown Amador City and fell in love with his wines. Rob’s passion for his wines shines through in each and every bottle. They are all delicious. So I went back a few weeks ago and picked up two cases with a mix of Rose, Cab, S&M, Chardonnay , and Sauvignon Blanc for my mom’s 70th bday party in the Bay Area. The wines where a hit. Thank you Rob for helping us select the best wines to go with our menu options. Hope to see you again soon.“
“Cannot say enough about this place. They have great Tempranillo, but also my fav, sweet wines and port. What really sets them apart is that they grow their own grapes.. Few Amador wineries actually do. A definite must see if you're in Sutter Creek“
“Me and another car pulled over after seeing two dogs on highway 49 their owners found us and the dogs on highway 49 and then said thank you and asked us if we wanted a bottle of wine. I followed then to their vineyard and got a free bottle of wine i appreciate the kind gesture i didn't catch the couples names but after a long work day this bottle of wine will be perfect“
“We were recommended this tasting room by a friend at TDO, which is closing. Tom the wine maker was in the tasting room. Him and his were very cordial. Nice tasting room and even a tent outside. We arrived 30 mins before they closed, but said it was no problem. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. We will be back in October and probably join their club.“
“This was recommended for us to visit and I’m so glad!! Great vibe, great people and good wine!“
“had a wonderful visit Andrew was so sweet and very knowledgeable. thanks very much“
“Beautiful winery & great tasting wines“
“It was great I was helped by the third generation son who is very knowledgeable about his products and what paired with what was very helpful actually probably a little too helpful I've got one wine now to taste with just about anything I'd want to eat which is okay. It's expanding my knowledge about good food and drink definitely worth the stop Shenandoah Vineyards part of the sabon family.“
“We make an annual visit to Amador County for a refresh of our CA wines and had never been to Andis. We both loved the setting, the wines and the staff. The wines are true to style, not sweet and all very good. Left with a case and they will now be part of our regular rotation of favorite wineries during our visit. We wish we would had tried them on previous visits but better late than never. Make sure to visit Andis, you won't be disappointed.“
“We have been TKC club members about ten years. We have upgraded our membership more than once, and their club prices are so good we still order a LOT more wine than comes with our membership. I adore Amador wineries and TKC is the first one I go to.“
“A Captivating Wine Experience in the Heart of Sutter Creek
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Avio Winery during a trip to Sutter Creek, California, and I must say it was an enchanting experience from start to finish. Nestled in the beautiful Sierra Foothills, Avio Winery offers a delightful combination of scenic beauty, warm hospitality, and exceptional wines that make it a must-visit destination for wine enthusiasts. Their rose is to die for.
Avio Winery in Sutter Creek, California, is a hidden gem that should not be missed by wine enthusiasts or anyone looking for an unforgettable wine experience. From the stunning surroundings and warm hospitality to the exceptional wines, every aspect of the visit was impeccable. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Avio Winery and indulging in their delightful wines. It's an experience that will leave you with lasting memories and a newfound appreciation for the art of Italian winemaking.“
“They had a great 2 for 1 tasting deal so it was hard to pass on! I came with just my partner but it has a nice outdoor spacious area that can accommodate large groups. They have an extremely generous amount of 7 different wines with small bites of cheese and crackers included with their tasting. The staff was so friendly which made our experience better especially after the service we received at Sera Fina down the road. We were greeted with smiles and felt welcomed right away. We plan on coming back with friends.“
“Absolutely loved this place! Brittany helped us out and we absolutely loved the wine. It’s a $20 tasting waived if you buy two bottles. We ended up just enjoying the tasting as we came close to close, but we will be back for the pizza and the next wine rotation! Thanks so much Brittany!!“
“You can get lost exploring the different wines they produce and it would be well worth it.“
“Great counter people ..no hard sell..very enjoyable..10$ per person for some great pairings ..where else can you taste two cheeses with your last name (Capra)“
“Beautiful venue, offering exceptional service, and a once in a lifetime experience for our guests. Breathtaking photo's with a romantic, intimate and elegance.“
“Great white wines and friendly and informative staff. Definitely going back again.“
“If you like ports or speciality unique wines then you're in for a treat here. They have tons of speciality sparkling wine with unique flavors like raspberry, almond, strawberry, and pomegranate.Don't worry though, if you're more into red wines they've got those too!“
“Just because we talked about people only leaving reviews when they are unhappy, I’m doing the opposite.
I had the best tasting with Joe today! Every time I visit the area I make sure to stop by Dobra. The wine is wonderful, the ambience is cozy & welcoming, and it’s always a treat to get a little visit from Milan.
Cheers!“
“We had a very incredible and personal tasting experience with Jay while visiting in the heat of summer. My search for delightful and crisp whites ended here. Unfortunately our visit was short, and we can't wait to return in the spring!“
“The owners are amazing and always a great time!!“
“Best winery EVER. The staff is awesome“
“We have been enjoying Terre Rouge/Easton's fabulous wines for over 20 years. While winemaker Bill Easton's Rhone-style wines (Syrahs and Rosés) get the most accolades, his Zinfandels, Barberas, Vermentinos, and Savigon Blancs are exceptionally good!“
“Just opposite the parking lot in lovely Sutter Creek, Yorba offers well crafted wines with a few years of bottle age that feature velvety tannins. We tasted Tempernello, Barbara, Zin and Syrah from 2011 to 2013 vintages. It is very unusual for wineries to hold onto wines this long and it was a treat to taste them. The wines, especially the Barbera, are distinctly on the earthy side; if your tasted are more a big fruit profile, you may be disappointed. For my part, I enjoyed them.“
“My fiancé and I had a fabulous time at Baiocchi, and our host, Mallory, was so charming and knowledgeable about which wines we would enjoy. Their front patio was beautiful and the whole ambiance felt like I was in the middle of their vineyard instead of a busy Main Street. Cannot praise this place enough!“

“This is a winery with tastings for its own wines. They are great and very reasonable. If you belong to their wine club there are usually quarterly wine club pick ups with food, tastings, and music.“
