“My daughter and I visited Dublin Skillet after losing her father a while ago. This was one of his favorite places to eat when it was called the Copper Skillet, so coming back held a special meaning for us. It was comforting to find that the food is still just as delicious as we remembered.
The prices are fair, and the staff is kind, polite and helpful. My only suggestion would be a little more attention to the bathroom’s cleanliness.

Overall though this is a lovely place to enjoy a tasty meal and revisit cherished memories. Five out of five stars from both of us.“

“We moved into Avalon and having this gem right by us has been amazing. Our family stays at the holiday inn and we get breakfast together all within walking distance. The food is always fresh and really good! The staff is always friendly and welcoming with smiles. At night the bar is fun you can grab a drink and relax here. Don’t miss this spot! The burgers and eggs are the best. To go is quick and easy.

“It was our first time at The Melt, and Luis made the whole visit feel easy and welcoming. He helped us choose what to try, and his recommendations were on point. The Meltburger was juicy and full of flavor, the Mac Daddy was crazy good, and the Three Cheese Classic tasted like real comfort food. Luis checked in on us, made sure everything came out hot, and you could tell he really cares about the guest experience. Because of him, our first visit turned into a new favorite spot.“

“We had a lovely lunch at Tri Valley Bistro. We had the fish tacos and risotto. Both were delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. I had a lovely glass of wine while my friend had a mocktail, which they offered to make since we didn't see any on the cocktail menu.“

It was sad to see The Vine wine bar close down so Crush’d is my new wine bar going forward to enjoy with family and friends. Great wine options to choose from as well.“

“After a long day flying into Oakland from the east coast in December with bad weather, we arrived frazzled & tired but ok. Since we were on east coast time, we just wanted to eat & go to bed. Michael, a front desk attendant, gave us outstanding customer service - the best we have ever seen from a front desk staff. He went out of his way for us as they tried to help us figure out a way to get to Lake Tahoe in between blizzards. There was also a female front desk clerk who was helping also but I forgot her name. He went above and beyond to make our stay. Thank you, Michael. Room was your typical Courtyard. It is an older hotel & definitely needs an upgrade. Good local owned restaurant next door. Right off the interstate 580 & about 20-25 minutes’ drive to Oakland airport without traffic. Cons: Hotel charges for parking. Not sure if they have problems in the area, but it seemed to be safe. It seemed strange to pay for parking for a hotel in the suburbs. If you like my review, I hope you'll click the 'helpful' button; those of us who write reviews live for those and it motivates us to do more.“

“We were looking for a place to hold our high school 60th reunion. We tried the food here. It was excellent. The owner was very helpful. There was no charge for the use of the facility. Capacity is adequate to handle a midweek luncheon. The food selection could be decided in 2027 by the committee. Soft drinks would be included in the per person price of around $35. The place also serves liquor, so a no host would be available for those wanting stronger drink.“
