“I came here for the 3H (happiness, health, harmony) Afternoon Tea, offered for the month of March. It's in the lobby bar/restaurant, which is located right when you walk in at the entrance, next to the front desk. It's a nice setting with sunlight coming in through the glass windows and doors if you sit in the main front area, with soft chairs and couches (and coffee tables) that are spaced out, plus some traditional tables here and there. A free parking lot is just off to the side of this building.The tea set comes with the usual: savories, sweets, and tea. There are special teas that represent one of the h's, or you can order one of the classic teas instead. You also get rosemary sage that you can take home and burn for a good night's sleep. The food and tea were good, though not outstanding, and service was good as well. Overall experience was a 5 but food a 4 without a standout item in my opinion, so I'll go with 4 stars since 4.5 isn't an option.“

“Delicious warm bread to start the meal. Two of us had the lamb chops with a chimichurri sauce they were tender, delicious, and perfectly cooked, one medium and the other medium rare. They were also kind enough to split a Caesar salad for us. My husband had the homemade tagliatelle (recommended by our server), perfectly al dente. We ended our meal with a lava cake, oozing with melted chocolate, my new favorite dessert.“

“We had the most delicious meal last night at Protégé. Each course of the tasting menu was perfection. At the end we couldn't choose a favorite because they were all equally incredible. Our server, Fleur, was so knowledgeable about the food and the wine and gave us wonderful recommendations for the perfect wines to compliment the various courses. The whole experience was wonderful and I can't wait to go back sometime.Dietary restrictions: They made sure they were aware of all of my dietary restrictions and ensured the food I was served was safe for me to eat by making small adjustments when needed.“

“Food was good, but the biggest downer was the lasagna. Tasted great, but came out cold. I get that it's not made to order, but this was room temperature or lower. A bit unappetizing, and disappointing since it was a cold day and I was looking forward to a nice hot meal. Place was quite, but it was a Tuesday, so easy to have a conversation. Next time I would send the lasagna back to be reheated -“

“Absolutely amazing experience. From the time we checked in for our reservation, service was very kind and thoughtful and everyone wanted to make sure we had the best time. Stunning dining spaces. Every corner beautifully designed making for an elevated experience. Depending on which spot you pick, you can be sure it will be a distinct experience. Food was stellar and our waiter was absolutely lovely, checking in on us and giving us excellent recommendations. It's been a while since a place swept me off my feet like Sekoya did! “How have I not tried this place yet??? Went there for lunch with a friend on Monday. I love Greek food and always up to try a new spot. Pylos was wonderful! For lunch I had the seafood souvlaki which was delicious. Nice big shrimp and pieces of salmon in a warm, fresh pita with just the right amount of tzatziki sauce. Comes with a salad and they were kind enough to out the dressing on the side. My friend had one of the gyro wraps and she loved it. They also have Greek French fries which I have heard are amazing. Unfortunately, my current eating plan does not include them but there is always a next time! Service was very friendly and prompt. They have a nice inside restaurant and a great outside setup with heat lamps. Yay! Hubby loves Greek too so we will definitely be back (I'm going to steal his fries ).“

“Sat in the back patio, which was nice and warm and covered. Food was solid. We didn’t like the pear burrata special, but the pizzas were quality (we got the sausage honey and sausage broccolini pizzas). The bread pudding dessert was solid too. Overall, recommend this “

“This is my first time visiting Itálico for my birthday! The food is excellent. The service was phenomenal and everyone absolutely delightful. Michael was so attentive and hospitable! He genuinely wanted to get to know my family and I, and was so sweet. Super profesional and kind to all. He made my family feel super welcomed and felt like a queen on my birthday! Our server was also Carlos was absolutely excellent and gave amazing service to us and everyone else!! He was so funny and always made sure we were all good. I recommend everyone try this restaurant! “Ambiance is arty, comfortable and lovely. Menu had great choices and the 3 of us were so pleased with our choices. I brought home the leftovers and they were just as delicious the next day. We had the mushrooms, Brussels sprouts, shrimp and the crab ‘taco'. The winter sangria was delicious and full body with rich red wine and port YUM just right for this time of year!“

It’s such a great neighborhood low key vibe but mixed with some of the best food I’ve had in the Bay Area - unpretentious but inventive, high quality and just hand down delicious. I love that everyone who works at Bottleshop seems to really believe in Bottleshop. It means a lot to have all your staff excited about what this place is doing. The owners are well versed in all things wine and always have something fun on hand. Could not recommend this place more.“

“We love Vino Locale! Nice ambiance, great wine list, and solid snacks to enjoy. Of of the best things about Vino Locale is that the wine list isn't just the same 5 wines that you see at many other places, they offer a great variety of domestic & international wines, and treat each one well. I love the Sancerre on the menu, and appreciate that they offer 6oz or 9oz pours, half bottles, and full bottles. The Black Cabra Cabernet Sauvignon and Miraval Rose are also among my favorites. In terms of food items, I usually gravitate toward the chicken skewers are a good option and come with a few flavor/sauce options. The beet salad is good, and I often get their Brussels sprouts (know what to expect, though: they're not fried/crispy, but are tasty - served with parmesan, cranberries, almonds, and optional bacon). The cheese plates and hummus platter are also good, reliable options. Service is so friendly! They have a nice dog-friendly patio (and often have a few treats for pups), and live music most Thursday evenings.“

“Excellent for happy hour - food items at half off, and they taste pretty good. Wine choices are underwhelming but a good deal for members (20-30% off list price). Tasting event was busy but wines were meh. This location is a bit small, so it feels crowded and noisy. Even tables were so small that there wasn’t enough room for the food! No patio seating as Castro is blocked off - in fact, the neighborhood vibe has seriously degraded. The Los Gatos location is much more attractive and spacious (outdoor seating).“

“First time yesterday for a casual date night. Reservation was a bit hard to secure, but once booked, we were followed up on multiple times to know our ETA. When we arrived on a busy Saturday night, we were whisked back immediately to our desired corner window table.We knew what we wanted beforehand and was happy the items were not “sold out” (happened more times than you think it’s possible).For appetizer, we split the Black Truffle Soup in two, and it was a good thing we did it since the amount was just right, more so as we planned to have the Dry Aged Ribeye as the entree.The ribeye (we both had it medium rare) was one of the very best I’ve had in recent times (and I’ve been to quite a few expensive restaurants in SF over the last 6 months) - it was flavorful, juicy and well marbled, perfectly complemented by the Bordelaise sauce.I will definitely come back here again, just for the Ribeye!“

“The atmosphere, service and wines were amazing I wish I were able to say my Mediterranean pasta was good but wasn’t; I believe they use cooked shrimp in the dish and if not mistaken it said “prawns” which is why I had ordered it in the first place, the shrimp was absolutely overcooked and trust me I know my shrimp since my sis uses cooked shrimp I know the awful texture and would never expect it to be served in this amazing restaurant.I absolutely will go back and hopefully they will use fresh shrimp and try the dish again.“

“The food is great, and they have several interesting dishes on the menu that I haven't seen at other Mediterranean places. The ambiance is pretty nice, too (it used to be super brightly lit, but they’ve since fixed that and placed small lamps on each table, which makes for a super cozy vibe)“

“Wonderful dining experience. We are big fans of Domenico and their Easter Brunch was lovely and a fun afternoon. Service was excellent - as always. I highly recommend dining at Domenico's , go for brunch ,lunch or dinner - you are guaranteed great food and a wonderful time.“

“This place is Amazing! The food and drinks (wine) was fresh! They had truffle popcorn and charcuterie boards which is very Upscale if you know your foods! The price was awesome and very reasonable. The owner (Manuel Vasquez) and his staff was very hospitable. I will stop in everytime I am in California. I'm from Michigan and we need more Wine Bar's here. I absolutely loved the items mentioned above. My friend loved it also, even though he never heard of truffle and charcuterie. This Wine Bar also had great pizza's. Love this place!!!!“

“It's challenging in California to find a pizza that reminds me of NYC, here they make a delicious pie with "color"! NO BLONDE CALIFORNIA PIZZA!!! The grilled octopus appetizer was delightful, tasty good size on top of arugula...WELL DONE.Tiramisu is delicious. They also have a very nice, albeit small wine selection. We'll be back!!“

“Walking with a friend on Laurel Street we stopped in for a glass of Champagne and a Cheese Plate. Seating at the bar was comfortable, friendly bartender, an entire wall of wine you will surely find the perfect accompaniment to anything on the menu. Atmosphere was relaxed, casual and service en pointe. Parking can be difficult especially on weekends.“

“I had lunch at this Italian restaurant on a Thursday afternoon with a former business colleague and it was a wonderful experience. We ordered the Grilled Prawns Wrapped with Pancetta appetizer, with the Veal Piccata and the Salmon Nicoise salad as entrees. All of the dishes served were very generous portions. The Grilled Prawns had three very large fresh prawns and was served with a lot of delicious sauteed beans with arugula on top. The dish tasted fantastic. The Veal Piccata was also to die for- served in a rich lemon butter sauce with capers over mashed potatoes and a lot of fresh spinach. Enough to take home for the next day! The Salmon Nicoise salad had an abundance of fresh ingredients and was very tasty. Bread and an olive oil bread dip are served at no charge when seated. We finished off our meal with two traditionally made Cappuccinos that were perfect. Service was also impeccable with exactly the right timing between courses. This restaurant is now on my "return again and again" list! Thank you so much for a great and satisfying meal.“

“The quality of food here is excellent. The availability of some of the menu options also depends on whether you visit for lunch, dinner, or brunch. The dinner menu is a bit limited and I wish they added Weisswurst and Wiener Schnitzel (veal) back to the dinner menu. But overall, dining at Ludwig’s is a great experience. My favorites are the Jägerschnitzel and the Currywurst. They also have a great selection of beers, of course, and the cocktail options are great as well.Parking: Small parking lot in back of restaurant plus plenty of street parking near by“

“1st time here. Service was a bit slow at first. Once we placed our order, food came out timely. One staff member was very friendly and the food was delicious. There was a service charge added to our check, but it was explained prior. I really enjoyed the vibe. Happy and slow.“

“Not sure if I can rate anything bad about this place! Wine, service, food and live music all were great. Spent my birthday here and just enjoyed every moment, sip and bite. Their artichoke dip is out of this world. I had their Malbec and my partner had their Cabernet and they were both really nice. They had Kira Hooks singing jazz that night and she was mesmerizing. I will come back here again and again. This place might look ordinary from the outside but the charm lies in their hospitality!“
