“Such a friendly place for a drink- they offer non-beer alcohol (sangria!) and NA beverages so there's something for every adult.
Very dog friendly place that raises a lot of funds for local charity. One of the owners, Chris, is often around welcoming everyone and may give you free samples!
They have a small bar inside with a new reading nook, and upstairs has tables and high tops. Local clubs happen upstairs, like Magic the Gathering.
Nice outdoor picnic tables. No food though (just snacks), so check out Heschers for Detroit pizza or Original Pattern for Napolitan pizza.“

“Sante Adairius was such a perfect spot for our wedding welcome party. They have an awesome back room that was a great size for our guests and allowed us to have a private space without closing down the front bar to regular patrons. Ruben, the manager, was great to work with during the planning phase, even working with us to get a food truck into the back for our guests. The beer is great, and they have a good variety of other drinks (wines, mocktails, etc.). And the night of, the staff was fantastic. We’re so happy we found this spot for our party, and will definitely be going back for beers in the future.“
“This is a small spot in an out of the way street, with good beer and an interesting selection of records that the bartender/dj spins. Certainly different, and a plus, the taps are not loaded with IPAs.

Not much atmosphere on a Tuesday evening. I’d find my couch and cat more exciting than the vibe while I was there … nonetheless, I bet this would be fun on a more hopping evening!
It is a great little hole in the wall, but you gotta reserve 5 stars for place with a more complete atmosphere.“

“Over in San Francisco from Perth Australia and popped in for a couple of beers, awesome spot and great beers, staff were super friendly and even grabbed some merch, get yourselves over and support these guys and have a cracking pint or four“
“Fabulous spot for interesting wine and beer and if your timing is right, great food! Even when the kitchen is closed, non-sold out empanadas are fabulous. We were early on a Sunday afternoon and the picnic table filled patio was mostly open. Later, lots of duds came in with their people. Diverse clientele both human and canine. Inside room is spacious plus bar seating. Very friendly service. Would be my hangout if I were local. Each bathroom has a cool character, good TP but not a fan of locker room brown paper hand towel dispensers. Grade A, bathroom B, over all, A-.“

“Stopped in Saturday night to grab some freshies and check out the brewery for the first time. Ended up having an amazing conversation with Brennan about beer, music, and community — exactly why I love beer and what the industry should feel like for patrons.
And most importantly: the beer is outstanding. This pils is everything I look for — depth, balance, and character that only comes from time, care, and quality ingredients. By far the best lager in the bay- yeah I said it!

Casual, friendly vibe. A great place to go with friends, on date night, or solo (laptops fine). Can bring in food, games, or your dogs. Hoi Polloi is a real gem.“

This is a place for a beer before dinner or a place to go for dinner/beers.
The beer I had was tasty.
The pizza smells from the kitchen were delicious.
There were tables inside and outside to sit.
Server was very friendly and willing to give samples.
Don't forget about the arcade games! Bring your change or don't, they have a quarter machine.

“As someone with Celiac disease who *loves* beer, I was thrilled to find Otherwise Brewing. They have the biggest selection of gluten free beers that I have found yet. I enjoyed getting a flight and sampling several of their beers. I really enjoyed the pale ale, the IPA and the stout.

“Faction Brewing is a wonderful, local brewery! On a perfect day, enjoy a beer or cider on their patio overlooking the San Francisco Bay and city skyline. Catch it on a gloomier day and you can still enjoy a crafted beverage in their large indoor spaces. We host our annual donation drive here in the spring and the staff is always so fantastic. “Incredibly cool spot to grab a beer. I love that it is positioned in the park. There are lots of seating and people enjoying. It helped that the weather was immaculate. There is no indoor seating it’s all picnic style
I tried the Yosemite Pilsner, which was actually really delicious. Flavorful for a super light beer. Perfect for a spring day.
My brother got the Hef and was equally happy.

The line can get long on weekends but the wait is worth it. If I worked in nearby offices I would probably come here on my lunch.“
“I’m a regular at Almanac, but I wanted to share a review specifically about hosting an event there. We held our wedding reception in the Barrel Hall, and it was absolutely perfect. The Almanac events team was fantastic to work with from start to finish: professional, organized, and easy to communicate with throughout the entire process.
Our guests of all ages had an amazing time, and the space created such a fun and memorable atmosphere. It was truly an unforgettable experience all around. I would highly recommend Almanac for any special event!“

“Love this place! The membership is absolutely worth it if you live in the Bay Area and can visit regularly. The staff are amazing, friendly, welcoming, and great at what they do. The sake quality never disappoints. We always leave with a smile, and every friend I’ve brought here has loved it too. Don’t miss their occasional events, they’re set in such a great atmosphere and make for a truly unique experience! One recommendation would be to open the parking lot for customers on tasting days.“

“This has become my favorite brewery to refresh after a bicycle ride across the Berkeley/Oakland hills. They have a huge beer selection and offer all kinds of tasty sandwiches in a relaxing garden atmosphere. I usually order a hefeweizen (relatively low on alcohol) to make it up Grizzly Peak again. After a stronger beer consumption there is always the North Berkeley BART station around the corner as last resort.“
