the vegan options here = awful lol. the mushroom one was super dry (i did get it without cheese). they had a vegan pinsa THAT THEY GOT RID OF (had it last time i was here 4 months ago). happy hour is $9 for the mini pinsas or wine or like some of their bar bites. the brussel sprouts were the star of the show lol. also slow service“

“Always a go-to when wanting a fast quick meal. One thing I love is they are open LATE! Someone like me who is constantly on the go or working late ... The line snaked out of the restaurant on a Saturday evening, but this is no ordinary queue—it's a pilgrimage. With 20 minutes to wait, we found sanctuary next door at Brix Factory Brewing, where we sipped on an IPA and noticed almost every patron had a pizza box on their table. It was a beautiful preview of what was to come.

The pizza itself was a masterpiece. The crust was a perfect blend of chewy and crisp, with just the right amount of char to give it a smoky, rustic finish. It was adorned with elegant ribbons of shaved Parmesan, which cascaded over the top like tinsel on a Christmas tree, along with a scattering of vibrant, fresh basil. “As a former New Yorker/Jersey Girl living in the Bay Area, I miss authentic NYC pizza. Chef Laura has created something very special here. The Marg with vegan pepperoni is like no other pizza I've tasted in my 10 years in California. The sauce! The cheese! The vegan pepperoni! The combination of these ingredients makes this pizza sing. The crust was lovely too. If I were to grumble about one thing, it would be the cost. The pizza, delivery, and tip ran $50. But honestly, I'd pay the same thing again (and likely will) for this delicious wonder, because the ingredients were quality and it was scrumptious. I am especially inclined to support Pizzeria da Laura because it is a fabulous woman-owned business. Grazi!“

My usual go-to spots were Slice House and Mama Boys, but this tops both of them. The crust and flavor have that classic NY tang and chew I’ve been missing. I also tried their wings and cannoli—both really good. This is officially my new go-to pizza spot. Bonus: easy parking in Oakland!“
