“We loved the Portland location and had high expectations when visiting in LA. Fortunately, Farmhouse Kitchen lived up to its reputation! We visited over lunch which provided a special menu option with soup, appetizers, and entree. Service was impeccable - so friendly and attentive. We'll be back!“
“Amazing breakfast burritos. The combination of hash browns, eggs, onions and chorizo or sausage is perfect. The flavor couldn’t be better. The salsas that come with the burrito are spicy so go light or have your burrito + sauces with a glass of milk.“
“The restaurant needs to buy one can of WD-40 to fix their squeaky front door. Had to wait 20 minutes outside the front door waiting for our table (which was not a big deal) but for the incredibly squeaky front door which opens repeatedly. Everyone waiting for their table was getting a headache. Food was great. I won't return until I know that door is fixed.“
“The influence of Alice Waters and David Tennis is at play in the $45 prix fixe 3-course lunch, simple, elegant and delicious. The rest of the menu, except the desserts and cocktails, looks to be uninterestingly pedestrian. Recently, a salad of thinly shaved manchego, mint, beets and radicchio first course and a perfectly cooked Sea bass, very plump clams, broad beans, and fennel second course in a seafood broth lightly seasoned with dill were superb, as were desserts that our waiter allowed us to substitute for the third course. Highly recommended for lunch.“
“Incredible date night spot! Vibes & music were great all evening. Service was attentive but not overwhelming… would highly recommend!Of course we had the corn bread… it lived up to the hype! Followed that up with the Meatloaf & Trout which both had very unique flavors. We ended with the brown butter chocolate chip cookies & date cake… incredible!!Also the drinks are expensive but it’s LA so it’s to be expected… we really enjoyed ours.20% service charge built into total at the end of the meal!Parking: We valeted - $15 - very easy“
“One of my favorite Venice spots! The food is delicious, the service outstanding. Absolutely have the ricotta crostini with the gluten free bread (trust me) and the raw Brussels sprouts salad.Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free options and knowledgeable staff“
“Surprise, surprise the best Tuscan sandwich in town. Their Schiacciata is superior to Antico Vinaio's and the sandwich ingredient combinations are more balanced than Tre-Mani. The Monday-Tuesday all day pasta is another great option.“
“Amazing wine selection complemented with imaginative and creative menu pairings and the best gluten free baguettes I’ve ever eaten. Cute patio and ambient atmosphere and perfectly attentive waitstaff!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, dairy free, vegan“
“This was an adorable place for pastries and lunch. There is free parking in the structure nearby, and paid street parking around. My partner and I split the Chilaquiles, which was phenomenal with fresh and crisp chips. The pastry we ordered was an apple danish of some sort, and that was delightful as well. You order in the front before self seating, and enjoying a laid-back time with yourself or your friends. The staff were super friendly. The prices were quite high, but understandable for the location and quality of food.“
“Barrique offers an intimate dining experience with a mix of hits and misses on the menu. The 18-month aged prosciutto and burrata appetizer delighted with its flavors, while the octopus fell short in texture. The standout dish was undeniably the beet pasta, an absolute gem that left a lasting impression. However, the ribeye main dish, though good, suffered from an abundance of fatty pieces, detracting slightly from its overall appeal. The dessert, a Panna cotta with a cherry tart topping, was a delightful conclusion to the meal, showcasing a perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess that left me thoroughly satisfied. The ambiance of Barrique is pleasant, and the service is attentive without being overbearing. While not every dish hit the mark, the standout offerings make it worth a visit for those seeking inventive Italian cuisine in Venice. Overall, Barrique provides a solid dining experience that still warrants a recommendation“
“LA MUST GO! Everything we ordered from the scallops to the jamon and the mushrooms were delicious. And the spicy calabrese pizza was SOO good. The presentation of the food was also a treat. The service was great, the ambiance was cozy and quaint, and the owner was as generous and kind as could be. We had an exceptional experience and will be returning soon.“
“I don't know why it's taken me so long to leave a review but this is hands down my favorite local wine spot. First, every time I have come here, the staff is super nice and knowledgeable. I've done wine tastings here as well as just stopping in for drinks with friends and each time, it has been great. The inside and outside has a cozy local feel to it. The wines are delicious and everything I have had has an amazing taste to it. Today was the first time I tried their orange wine and it was so refreshing and tasty. On my previous visits, I've had their pizza and charcuterie boards which was as equally delicious as their wines. Today, I came during brunch and while I didn't get to eat there, I loved how they had a grill outside the restaurant where you can see the food being cooked. It smelled so good! Great local spot for friends and family. I highly recommend.“
“The food was delicious and the presentation was like art, the service was excellent, and the ambience of the place itself was beautiful. Visited with a group of friends so we were able to get different plates and try from each others, didn't get to photograph all of them but so good!“
“We had a celebration at this restaurant. There list of coffees and teas are quite extensive. I had the beet-lavendar latte, not sure what the others had. The breakfast menu is varied and the servings are large. Two had the veggie scramble and they split it, comes with a salad and fruit. The other ordered the French toast, which were very thick and yummy. I had the winter breakfast which had two poached eggs, polenta, roasted tomatoes with bacon and feta. Oh forgot the sourdough toast. Way good and had to take some home to enjoy again. Would definitely recommend and will return.“
“A local gem. We went here for brunch. It has now converted the entire parking lot into an outside eating area. No parking on site and limited street parking, but a lot more tables. We went because rain was expected. Tents and heaters were well placed. Food was delicious.“
“Bodega has best of both worlds! You can grab a coffee and get some work done or you can grab a glass of wine and catch up with friends. I love coming here for both! Also their pizza is the best pizza in LA in my opinion ! At 5pm everyone puts their laptops away and it turns into an actual wine bar! LOVE IT ! Service is great! Ambiance is so cool! Lots of natural light which gives it a coffee shop feel! There's tall tables, a long bar and also couches to sit. They also have an outside patio for those warm sunny days !“
“The dish and wine selection is fantastic, the ambiance is relaxing and inviting, and the service is consistently attentive. Classic like the lasagna bolognese and risotto are fantastic, as well as daily specials made from the freshest ingredients. This place is great for a dinner with family, friends, or co-workers to share a glass and enjoy good food and company.“
“I ordered pasta and the dasher named Kev delivered trash and snacks to me. This has never happened to me before I’m not even comfortable using doordash anymore. I work too hard for my money for ppl to be playing games with me. I wish I could show the pics of the stuff. It’s two bags of Doritos, two snack packs or Oreos, frozen veggies and wings and an empty bottle of water. I’m pissed off but I’ll never use this app again for sure.“
“Great local wine bar! Our server was very friendly and gave us a few recommendations, I went with the pinot noir which was delicious! The atmosphere was great, very chill and cozy. I can't wait to come back and try the small bites they offer!“
“A high quality spot right off the boardwalk. The pastas and steak were fantastic. The menu always has new items worth trying. The staff are friendly, know the menu inside and out, and have great suggestions. The squash blossoms are a go-to appetizer but honestly everything is good. I noticed a few customers had dietary restrictions and the staff came out with a menu marked with notes to help them order. Super nice!Vegetarian options: Can ask staff for custom orderDietary restrictions: Can order custom - they will mark the menu with what they can accommodateParking: Limited parking with free street and valet nearbyWheelchair accessibility: All one level with ramps“
“Love their pasta and order delivery often but had a babysitter last weekend so we got to go to the actual space for the first time. Very lively and cozy and friendly - the staff and clientele alike. We've yet to encounter a dish we haven't loved. The papperdelle and bucatini are my favorites, and our family enjoyed the mushroom fettuccine and lamb gnocchi. The shrimp diavola and the meatballs make excellent sides/starters. All of the desserts are fantastic - pannacotta is a huge hit, tiramisu is on point and Nutella bites are a pretty unique snack-size dessert.“
“A restaurant full of energy. From the chefs to the service staff, the owners, and the music, everything is charged with vitality. The dishes are fantastic, and the fish is freshly caught by the owner. The wine and champagne selection is good, and you can have any wine from the shelf chilled on ice. Fantastic.“
“Super cool ambiance with gentle music and friendly staff. Food was prepared exquisite and was totally delicious! Fantastic wine options bottle or by the glass. A must if you need a nice quaint evening out. They go the distance in their menu options and seasonal specials. The cherry glazed pork chop was to die for!!! The lobster brioche roll was equally fantastic. I highly recommend. A close place for locals and if you happen to want to find that next hidden gem.“
“We passed the restaurant about three weeks ago and it has now become one of our favorites for our date nights? The bar service is great, the chicken wings are the best and the steak meal is delicious! Our most recent visit with friends, the place was packed with customers and the vibe was so nice with a variety of people! It's close, convenient and also the valet attendants are excellent!“
“Took 2 friends there to celebrate a birthday. Food and service were very good. Noise level was WAY too high. We were in a small room in the rear with just 3 tables: ours, one with two men and an empty table. The two men were talking so loud that we couldn't hear each other at our own table. We commented to our server (who kind of shrugged) and then finally one of the women at our table calmly, politely told the men she was enjoying their conversation but couldn't hear the conversation at our own table. They chuckled ("are we talking too loud?") and then proceeded to continue their conversation. It was so uncomfortable that the woman celebrating her birthday said although she liked the food she'd never return to the restaurant. The men had finished their meal about halfway through our meal and we were anxiously waiting for them to leave, but they didn't. Definitely left a bad taste in our mouths. I think the server, or host, could have helped to have them turn down the volume.“
“I was amazed by the diverse and eclectic menu options that were offered. I highly recommend the Chicken Sliders, Fried Polenta, Brussel Sprouts and Cauliflour. My friend and I shared about 10 of the various tapas-style plates and all of them were remarkably delicious. Our cocktails were delicious. I also want to compliment our server who waa very attentive and friendly. I think the only part of the experience that was somewhat lackluster was the outdoor seating area at the back of the restaurant.“
“It seems like there is a scarcity of wine bars in L.A., in general. Thus, we were thrilled to unexpectedly find Offhand. The vibe is relaxed and unpretentious, and the service was friendly. We enjoyed our wine and beer choices while sitting in the chill outdoor seating area. We only wish they had more vegetarian options on the menu. We didn't order food because of that reason. We would also be interested in trying wine flights. Great place, and we want to come back for their coffee.“
“Chef Bernhard back in the kitchen again!Great news for LA fans of his truly stellar cooking. All the food was as fabulous as we remember from Bierbeisl. Lustig did not disappoint. Every dish was greeted with groans of delight. It is popular and can get loud inside, but the outside patio tables are nice and quiet. We've been back several times since it opened, and are going again soon.Very highly recommended.“
“Great food, great atmosphere, great service! It is the "Cheers" of the South Bay!Definitely need to go by, have dinner and drinks! It also has an amazing Chocolate Stout which is out of this world! Don't miss out on the experience where everyone will know your name!“
“This is one of our favorites. Incredible service with no pretention and the food is exquisite. Grab a spot at the bar on a Saturday at 6:30pm and enjoy great cocktails, one of the best wines by the glass menus and just the best food. No scene, no nonsense. Just a great dining experience. Don't bring your “
“Great place for breakfast or just a coffee break. Reasonably priced for the quality you get. They have a unique patented espresso technique that is worth trying (it doesn’t require an espresso machine). Great place to do some laptop work as well. 11/10 recommend!!“
“Thanks you Daniel and the staff for an amazing experience. I don’t share this lightly after many disappointing donning experiences in LA. Everything was excellent both food and service. We had the meat and cheese charcuterie board where everything was superb. Their specialty cocktail, the Fizz’d Out, was one of the best we have ever had and their wine list was not only impressive but was reasonably priced. The chicken confit was exceptional and the apple tart was the perfect ending to an amazing meal. Dont sleep on the vegetable sides too. Thank you! We will be back.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian sides“
“I love the concept of this restaurant and the service was spot on great! We sampled several dishes from the menu and I can highly recommend the yummy ribs, the swiss chard, and the asparagus was super (done with a tangerine sauce that was amazing)! The deviled egg was delightful as well as the tomato puree on toasts, a nice palette cleanser...And the goat milk flan was a desert winner!! I will say a few dishes just weren't up to par - the skewered calamari was underwhelming, not well spiced and rather bland, and the garling shrimp was overwhelming with too much garlic (and we were all garlic lovers). I was glad we asked for a quiet table, tucked up in the corner of the upstairs area (we had a double birthday dinner), because the noise level in general was very high. I recommend seating up on the balcony if possible. All in all, however, it was a great experience and we'll certainly go back and sample some more dishes from this neighborhood gem.“
“Love this place! Friendly staff, greats drinks. It's not a party environment, the energy is very laidback. Great place to have a genuine conversation with friends/dates, you won't need to shout but you'll still be in a buzzing, fun atmosphere“
“A California Style Mediterranean Restaurant, the menu ingredients fuse Mediterranean Cuisine with Asian Cuisine. Happy Hour is the best time to go 50% off. My favorite dishes are the Southeast Asian inspired Beef Tartar with Tapioca Waffer, similar texture as a Chinese Shrimp Chip. The Branzino is the best entrée, Roasted crispy skin. Every few minutes you'll see Flaming Saganaki Served at a neighboring tables.“
“The beef carpaccio is a miracle of a dish. I hope they never remove it from the menu because I would order this daily if I could. The orange wine was ok, chilled red was good. Halibut was ok. Very small intimate setting.But...the beef carpaccio makes this 5 stars.“
“Absolutely a neighborhood favorite for Samo subs. Amazing ambiance, warm staff, and an impressive variety of dietary-friendly options on the menu. Highly recommended dishes include grilled octopus, mussels, chopped salad, tuna tartare, short ribs, bucatini, chicken under a brick, and grilled carrots. Despite its size, the restaurant offers ample space for lengthy conversations and boasts an excellent selection of wines.“
“I recently hosted my birthday party at Barsha and it was amazing! The wine is always incredible and the food is delicious. But we love spending time at Barsha because of the wonderful staff who are so welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful. It’s one of my favorite places in the South Bay!“
“Evening food is INCREDIBLE - like you’re in Italy. People are wonderful, especially the GM and head waiter. They make you feel very welcome. Only complaints - no vintages on wine list, no corkage. Food and wine list is also overpriced. And while I complain about the bill every time I come here, we go back. Because the food is incredible, the people are wonderful and you feel like you’re not in Hermosa Beach, but transported to somewhere else.“
“Love that this place isn't so large that it's hard to have a conversation. Perfect setting when you're with a group of people. Servers are great at making sure your beverages are full and you're not waiting on food.Wheelchair accessibility: Elevator right to the entrance.“
“This is the time of the year the internet is alive with lists of places to go on St. Patrick's Day. Always read these lists although I never go out on St. Patrick's Day. Saw Auld Fella on some of these online lists. First thing I thought was it was very nice the place was named after me. Second thing I thought was Auld Fella looked like someplace I would like to go. Then I noticed Auld Fella was five blocks from where I lived, so I went there today. Has the chicken curry today. It was very good and there was a lot of it. Going to try the chicken pot pie the next time I go to Auld Fella. Going to go on a Sunday and try the chicken Sunday Roast.“
“This place deserves more credit. Everyone knows the cafe is amazing, great coffee, sandwiches, salads and breakfast. But do not miss out on By the Fire at Kiff during the evening! The owner Eric is a great guy and very interesting conversationalist. But chef Stephan runs the night shift and he is cooking amazing barbecued meats and vegetables. We ordered the BBQ chicken and Ribeye steak. Both were cooked perfectly and had great natural flavor. The Brussel sprouts and potatoes were cooked amazingly it was a great compliment to the meal. I enjoyed my steak with a fine glass of Bordeaux and my date had a cappuccino with her meal. This place has a beautiful atmosphere and perfect for any occasion. The chicken was priced at $18 and the ribeye steak was $35. Both sides were $8 a la carte. Please tell me where you can find a steak this good for $35!!!! Great value and quality. I’m so impressed with his place. Must be one of the best kept secrets in Los Angeles.“
“really solid burgers & tots it wasn't quite as smashed as i would prefer, (or as smashed as it was the first time i went) resulting in a bit of a thicker undercook but still tasty. close to the beach. street parking can be a bit tough but you'll figure it out“
“Second time at HoM and it was just as good of an experience as our first time. First time, we had a blast at the bar. This time we reserved a table and lucked out having a table right by the front windows making for a good time of people watching. Our table for 3 was clean and ready for us. Our waiter, Jeanet, was fantastic, as was the gentleman who cleared our table. Jeanet helped us decide between a couple of items on our custom pasta dishes and took good care of us.We started with a shared ceasar salad that wasn't drenched in dressing, which we appreciated. Right when we were finishing up the salad, our main entrees arrived. Perfect timing. We got gnocchi with white sauce, mushrooms, and chicken meatballs and rigatoni with creamy tomato sauce, bell peppers, and chicken meatballs. Our meals were hot and exactly what we ordered. The gnocchi in the white sauce deliciously melted in our mouths. I'm a total Stan for the creamy tomato sauce. It's the best. Only good things to say about the food, but neither of us knows anything about pasta and what it should taste like. The wine pours after the first glass were quite generous. They gave me the option of having me beer poured or in the bottle. It's a small place which means it's easy for it to get loud and noisy, but the food is worth it.Parking: There's a $6 parking garage 2 blocks away that stays open til 11pm“
“I live 5 minutes from this restaurant but have never given it a shot. I took my girlfriend here and we were pleasantly surprised with the quick service, the quality of the food, and the friendliness of the staff. I had the filet and my girlfriend had the salmon and both were very good. We will be back.“
“Too bad they will close this location, but they will move to middle west LA. Good luck, guys! Every dish is great, we had the entire menu ?, not all at one time, but we came to this place several times and tried everything. The pizzas are great, the appetizers are very tasty, but our favourite was - as we call it - “Live tiramisu” (the coffee and the cream are poured in front of you). ?? it’s a cozy, friendly place, where you have a good chat with the owner or the manager. Try White Dog (2007 red wine!!)???? and italian prosecco ??“
“Hidden gem!!! Anna Marie was our bar tender. She is the best bar tender of all times. She was sooo sweet. Her energy and personality alone earned more than 5 stars. I tried the Schrute farms which had beet infused gin, pomegranate, pineau des charantes and lemon.. this is the best cocktail I've ever tried. I asked Anna Marie for more recommendations. We tried almost every cocktail she recommended and they were all amazing. This is my new favorite bar.“
“If you can't make it to the original location (e.g., you're headed to LAX), this isn't a bad second place. Really cool selection of Propagator-specific beers, plus a range of the famous barrel-aged heavy stuff on-tap. The company store isn't particularly big, but with quality stuff (Yetis, jackets, etc.) and a huge walk-in fridge full of vintage options at fair prices.“
“Wonderful new dining choice on the Redondo Beach pier. I live above the pier and we desperately need a good place to eat, most places are awful. We had two excellent sandwiches, We also had a great rose recommended by our server and sat in the window and watched people go by. A very nice experience, we will be back!“
“I have been a big fan of Fleming’s for many years. Last Sunday we went there to celebrate a birthday, and took advantage of their promotion of a surf and turf special, a good size lobster tail and a 11 ounce filet mignon. Food was cooked perfect, Mr. Jackson’s service was excellent, price was reasonable. A planned one and half hour dinner turned into a very enjoyable 2 and half. We had a blast!“
