“My husband and I come here very frequently for two reasons - the food here is really good, and there’s a really nice uncle (owner) who greets us at the door with a warmth that reminds us of home.
Everything we’ve tried off the menu has been really good, just like street stalls from Mumbai.
Our favorites are the kala khatta and kashmiri soda for drinks, chole kulcha, misal paav, tavaa pulav, and chaat for veg food, and shrimp sukha and fish thaali for meats.
This place is must visit if you’re from Maharashtra and are tired of eating North Indian at every Indian restaurant you go to.“

“One like all the food was pretty good, it was really tasty delicious but the quantity was a little bit on the lower end. An entree is good for 3/4th of a serving for a person. We ended up ordering 1 noodle dish and 3 other entree curry dishes for 4 people (we were very full after that).“

“Excellent place to get your idly for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They are very quick with service. There is counter and kiosk to place your order. Have been coming here for months to years for food and would highly recommend to everyone.
Their Mysore Shree/pak not sure where we stand with the name lately is unique version unlike the ones that melts in the mouth this one is different but good.“

“Food and service were excellent! We loved Ashok Anna’s parotta. Never had such an amazing parotta anywhere in the Bay Area. Took me back to roots in south India.
Very underrated place with great finds like these. Parotta, kal dosa vadacurry, and mix veg pakodas!!!“

“The vibe here is really lively. You can feel the desi atmosphere as soon as you walk into Chandini Chowk. We ordered Samosa Chaat and Pani Puri. The Samosa Chaat was delicious, packed with chutneys and yogurt. The Pani Puri comes with different types of water, and you get eight pieces to choose from flavors like mint, khatta meetha, kala khatta, pineapple, and mango. I really liked the khatta meetha pani the best. The chaat came out quickly, but we had to wait about 20-30 minutes for the pani puri. The best part is that we didn’t have to wait aimlessly, it was well organized with buzzers.“

“Visited one evening with friends after reading reviews online, and I wasn't disappointed at all. The biryani for sure is the best in Bay area. The mandi reminded me of the mandi at Barkas area in Hyderabad and the chicken 65 and chicken Majestic that I order as take away for my room mate was also amazing.
The owners are friendly and open to suggestions, I happened to meet them. I would like them to open a bigger place, it seems popular and can get very busy so I think a bigger place might help.“

Aviyal, Erisseri, Kalan, Sambar, palada prathaman, Kichadi, Pachadi, Kichadi and so many items! We loved it! We plan to cater for our Onam Sadhya soon!“

“Sambar Vada dip was alright, IMO a dish that's best had fresh instead of take out (since they are packed pre-dipped and gets too soggy after just 10mins).
The real star is their peanut chutney! Not too salty or too strong, it's just the perfect addition to any of their dishes. Unless you are allergic.“

“I love having my breakfast here of Idli, dosa, sambhar, vada etc. which is authentically prepared and is fresh, tasty and delicious. The chutneys are also very well prepared. They have vegetarian and vegan options. I love their coffee too.“

“Found Indian-Nepalese food truck in Oakley called Momo N Curry. Was very excited to try their food. Finding the location was little tricky as we have to take inner road to reach this truck. When I reached there, I was the only one as this is new location (mentioned by person who was taking order) and they have certain location fixed throughout the week.
Ordered Samosa Chat & Veg Chowmain for to-go. They prepared the food per order. Samosa chat was tasty 5/5
Veg Chowmain wasn't that tasty 4/5
Service was good 5/5
It's a food truck so can't rate atmosphere but would say good location.
Would try other items next time.“

“We recently visited Honest in Fremont, CA, and had a wonderful experience! We ordered the Aloo Veggie Sandwich, Indian Style Pizza, and Masala Fries — all of them were delicious and flavorful. The portions were generous, and everything tasted freshly made.
The staff was warm, friendly, and very helpful, which made the visit even better. The place has a cool, cozy café-style vibe with a lively yet comfortable ambiance — perfect for hanging out with family or friends.
Definitely a spot we’d love to visit again!“

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pure flavor adrenaline! 🔥
The Mutton Seekh Kebab with butter and Rumali Roti gave me an actual adrenaline rush — soft, juicy, and insanely satisfying.
The Buttery Chicken Tikka tastes like the chicken took a butter bath… rich and ridiculously yummy. 😭💛
And the Honey Potato with fresh fries instead of shots? Surprisingly addictive — it slaps hard.
Fresh, bold, and full of flavor — this place is a whole vibe. ✨🔥“

“Probably what's missing in Bay Area is a nice dine in experience and Charminar provides a best experience for dine in and a place to hang out with family and friends. It has tasty food, beautiful interior and friendly staff who follow up and take feedback in a very positive way. Will definitely come again.“

“Upon entry, I found the associates courteous with their smiles and slight bowing from the waist. A very Asian trait that, on top of the recording of the music of internationally renowned Arjit Singh in the background, added authenticity to the place. The servers were professional yet very warm and friendly. I ordered the flat bread with broccoli and onions, with a request to tone down the spiciness because of a previously bad experience with Indian food in San Diego. The flat bread was served hot with the delicious aroma of the spices wafting from the generous helping of the round bread that filled the entire 12" diameter pan! I was able to see and enjoy the taste of both the broccoli and onions in the flat bread. It was even served with a side of sliced fresh onions in vinegar and soy sauce together with another side of white sauce that tasted like cream of broccoli soup. Everything on the table, including a complimentary mango-with-yogurt drink, was a perfect blend, and I did not have to drench the table napkin nor my shirt with my sweat due to the level of spices tolerated by Indians but excessive to non-Indians. They gave me, a non-Indian, a spicy meal that I relished earlier this evening! Kudos to the entire staff!“

“Been craving for a decent Gujrati thali for many years in the US now and this was one of the few serving it on weekdays as well. Travelled an hour to get here and it was worth it. Unlimited executive thali with four vegetables, dal, curry, khichadi rice, roti, puri, aamras and two sweets with Pani puri, dhokla and Patra as appetizers. Most of the stuff was delicious and had that could not get up from your seat experience post the meal. A good place to go if you are a thali fan“

“I ordered the Chilli Paneer Pizza from Currypizza and it was absolutely amazing! The flavors were spot on – perfectly balanced spice with the delicious taste of paneer, and the crust was fresh and perfectly baked. The combination of Indian spices with pizza was unique and so satisfying. The staff was friendly, service was quick, and the overall experience was excellent. Definitely one of the best fusion pizzas I’ve had – highly recommend Currypizza!“

“My Experience of Day 1 of this Restaurant: This is a Takeaway place as of now. A Very Good Biryani I must say. I selected Goat Biryani & picked two to go. One with Pulav & the other with Biryani rice. Both were succulent & good! Apparently it will be a sit down restaurant down the road. My Good Friend Ram Bangalore texted me & asked me to join him to check it out & we both drove to Fremont today even to get Biryani. I must say I Enjoyed My pick of Biryani. As a Keralite from India in America I just love GOAT MEAT & the Biryani at BHIMAVARAM RUCHULU (now that is a mouth full of a Name)….as Mouth Watering as their Biryani. I hope to sit down in their restaurant some day & Enjoy the Biryani even more. All the Very Best Guys & Congratulations!!! I am a Big Believer in Small Business as a CPA.“

“It was an amazing experience at Chatpatta Corner, run by a hardworking and welcoming family serving delicious vegetarian Indian food.
The vibe and ambience is very family-friendly and makes you crave more for the typical desi street food.
We enjoyed Pani Puri, Aloo Paratha, Tikki Choley, Dahi Papdi Sev Puri, Kachori with Chutney and Aloo Sabji, and the super-special Kulfi with Gulab Jamun!
The variety they offer is truly amazing, and I have to come again to try the other delicacies!

“Most authentic South Indian food you can get in Bay Area. Very good taste. Service was very good. We ordered the family thali. Although it says for 2 it is good for 4 people. Has all three meat in the Thali. Portions are big. Chicken 65 was my favorite. Will sure come again.“

“Curry Pizza House in Fremont has quickly become my favorite pizza spot around. The unique fusion of a classic pizza and powerful flavors of Indian cuisine has left me feeling addicted! Creamy rich sauces and/or aromatic spices warm you to your soul with every bite. They also have classic American style pizzas that don’t skimp on the same quality. A+ sides and wings too. The staff are all kind and attentive. The restaurant is clean and open with beautiful murals on the walls! If you’re looking for quality or a taste of something you’ve never thought you’d find in a pizza place, Curry Pizza House in Fremont, CA is your next stop.“

“We had an absolutely delightful dining experience at this Indian restaurant! The veg and non-veg thalis were a true feast. Beautifully presented, full of authentic flavors, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice. Every dish felt like it was made with care and tradition in mind.
A special shout-out to our server, Narendran, who made the experience even more enjoyable. His warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine enthusiasm for the food were outstanding. He guided us through the menu with great recommendations and ensured everything was perfect from start to finish.
This place is a gem; delicious food, impeccable service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend it to anyone craving an authentic taste of Southern Indian.“

“We go to this place routinely. It’s a nice restaurant, plenty of parking ( may need to walk a half a block ), food is good, authentic taste ( which comes with its own oily / greasy preparations)
The service if quick and on the weekdays. Recently we went on a Friday and Saturday for dinner and omg! It’s the same level of staffing on the weekend as the weekday .. service was excruciatingly slow. The staff was running around on steroids since they couldn’t keep up. Normally we are in and out within one hour .. weekends it took us 90 minutes to get done with the food and another 45 minutes to get the dessert.
There was a group of 4 ladies on the next table celebrating a birthday. They probably were waiting to get their food for as long as we were .. the manager came and asked them to leave since he needed the table for the next party who was waiting.
To the management - increase your staffing levels including the kitchen. For a regular meal with the family, 2.5 hours is a very long time.
We are not going back on the weekends.“

“Came here because my cousin was craving momos late night and this is the only place open at 11:30pm on a weeknight. So I drive him here swearing I wasn’t hungry.
He ordered the chicken Hakka noodles and chicken momos and they were a solid 4/5. 5 because he was hungry. I had some: they were filing and spicy.
Unsure what the rest of the complaint-ready local populous is going on about. Food is fine and service is normal. Worth a visit now and then.“

“We headed to Chaiwala Shop right after visiting Chandini Chowk. They offer a fantastic selection of desi vegetarian dishes, including snacks, kullad pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, Maggi, pasta, shakes, chai, and coffee. We tried the Peri Peri Veggie Burger and Penne White Sauce Pasta, both of which were delicious. One suggestion for improvement would be to avoid serving the hot pasta in a black plastic to-go box for dine-in customers; it’s too hot to be served that way. I’m not sure what the reasoning is behind it, as the portion sizes aren’t so large that people need to take them to-go. I noticed the pasta was cooked in a healthy stainless steel pan, so it seems odd to serve it in a to-go box. Overall, all the dishes tasted great. If they maintain the quality and flavor, they have a bright future ahead!“
