“I was born and raised in Hawthorne California I'm 52 years old I've been living the pizza show since I was a little kid I will continue to love the pizza so till the day I die. it is infamous in Hawthorne. Included with this review is a picture of me and Jose Gonzalez I am 12 years old right here this is the age when I most frequented the pizza show“

“This is a decent Italian restaurant. If you live far, it’s not worth the trip.

Parking is street and neighborhood parking in those cramped LA residential neighborhoods.

Restaurant seems small. It’s dimly lit and has a romantic atmosphere.

We had squash blossoms. The fry on it was good. It was very light and crispy. It doesn’t really have much flavor to it though in my opinion. I’d much rather have very good tempura. Still, this was interesting to try if you’ve never had it.

I had the pappardelle because there was no other cheesy pasta available. I don’t like the flavor of pecorino cheeses and thats what most dishes had. It wasn’t memorable but the pasta itself was good.

The orecchiette was good, but the flavor reminded me of Chinese spicy flavors. For that reason alone, I’d rather just eat Chinese food for a fraction of the price.

“My wife and I went to the Grove in Los Angeles last night and we had dinner at "Sogno Toscana," an it was outstanding. It was perfect in every way; great food, great drinks, outstanding and friendly staff, beautiful location, etc. I love Italian food but I can't think of one Italian restaurant that I like, until "Sogno Toscano." The food was outstanding, and there was so much more we saw go by that we can't wait to go back and try. And the drinks were outstanding. I love martini's and they served the best martini I've ever had. Giacomo was our server and took great care of us. He's from Italy and "Sogno Toscana" brought him to America when they opened their New York restaurant, and now he's in LA for this new restaurant. Although very busy, the entire staff were very fun to be around, and most of them are Italian which is also great.“

“The pasta was delicious, but we had to wait 15 minutes to be acknowledged, and when they did take our order, it was for everything and they “ran out of bread we run out all the time” at 7pm on a saturday. Restaurant 101: greet guests quickly, offer them some wine / drinks, even if you’re delayed on taking their order. Also offer more salad options or appetizers and we would’ve easily ordered dessert if it was offered.“

He loved his steak and eggs, steak was Devine and I loved my chick pea soup. Always have the panne cotta and the cherry gelato and an espresso in their delightful patio and you’ve been to Italy!“

Too loud at night, kinda have to yell to talk.

Really cool vibe; love that they're playing actual vinyl records.

Really cool Faema E61 espresso machine (didn't try any drinks from it tho).

“When I first walked in, I questioned if I should stay or leave. However, it smelled very good so we decided to stay. My friend and I ordered two dishes to share. I ordered a pizza based off the chef recommendation and it was thin crust without outstanding taste. We also ordered the pennetye Alle vodka with sausage. The sauce was so amazingly good. The garlic bread was also fantastic. Very unique from most places garlic bread. Service was a little slow, but was worth the wait. Great job definitely will be back again soon.“

“Went before attending a show at the Orpheum since it was within walking distance. Wasn't sure what to expect, but once inside and has the place got crowded. It was a nice vibe and food was good. Not a big fan of sitting on stools as the limited amount of tables were taken. Highly recommended however as it's far better value than going to some overpriced restaurant in downtown LA. Servers were nice.“

“I wish we had found this place sooner, we probably would've eaten here 3 meals a day and im not kidding.
I always order Alfredo when given the option of pastas at a new restaurant. Its my favourite pasta dish and its just what I do.
This was THE BEST ALREDO SAUCE I have ever had in my life. I had it with the gnocchi which were also very good.
My husband had a side got garlic bread- even that was fantastic and the best we've had at a restaurant. (how does one make garlic bread that good, i dont even know, but fabio does).

The service was great, the man taking our order (im assuming that was fabio but I couldn't tell you,) was so sweet.

I wish he had a restaurant so the seating wasnt just on the beach mixed with people having food from the other places near by, cause this should be its own space.

“The foods are amazing … i had the salmon creamy pasta and i liked it so much, the salmon with cherry tomatoes are very refreshing , porcini and mushroom are the new favorites , but the black truffle was the most unforgettable one , once you taste it, it seems you are watching a classic italian movie. The employees are friendly and very accomodating. The atmosphere itself makes you feel like home.“

There have been two paintings with me in them, a painted recording of this era of my life! It is unclear what will be happening with the restaurant going forward, as there may be some ownership change. Everyone is sort of holding their breath, and for now, music has not been included in January of 2020. There is talk it could go either way in Feb. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Thank you all who have come and supported me these past few years on Washington Square and I will keep everyone posted as to what settles out in the next bit of time. “I would give via Venetto five stars based on their delicious food alone, but unfortunately it took forever to get served. I realize it was a Saturday night and they were busy, but it took quite a bit longer than it should have. The food is top-notch- and I'm super picky especially about Italian food. “
