“This was my first Michelin star restaurant that I have experienced that I heard about from Tik Tok. It lived up to the hype. I recommend going early or after lunch as it packed during lunch time. The line is out the door. The food is delicious and I would recommend to any seafood lover. The prices are reasonable and you get a lot of food in each dish. If you are the the downtown area it definitely a must try. It right next door to the DMV so it not a lot of parking so you have to drive around to a spot open up if you go during lunch time. It is loud in there as it is a food hall with about 6 other restaurants in the same building. It is still a good experience and worth giving a try.“

“The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.“

“I went to Lonely Oyster with three amazing friends for dinner last night and we all had a wonderful experience. The service was impeccable, and the food was to die for! Caesar salad = delicious, oysters were perfection, the calamari was the best I've had--just the perfect amount of crisp and flavor, and the cream sauce was sooooo damn delicious I wanted to lick it out of the ramekin when I was done with the calamari! The Australian wagyu ranchera was cooked just right and oh so tender and scrumptious--just the right amount of that perfect salty flavor! Very addictive taste! The grilled mushroom skewers were so damn delicious and had a nice grilled flavor to them, and the espelette chimichurri was a divine addition. My favorite overall was the lobster mac n cheese! Overall: 10/10 and I would recommend this to upscale foodies and surf n turf newbies alike! Highly recommended to all! Go to Lonely Oyster for the amazing service, charming romantic atmosphere (the warm lighting was lovely), and the divinely delectable food, you won't be disappointed!“

“This was our first time at Saltie Girl. We will definitely be dinning at Saltie Girl again.The oysters were outstanding and not a bad price at $4.50 each. They had great flavor.LA Pink salad was very good with an excellent crushed maple walnut dressing dressing.The Moules Frites, probably the best I ever had, even better than in Belgium! Ipswich Claim had a wonderful coating and excellent flavor. The Fried Brussels Sprouts outstanding flavor. The French Dover Sole with the lemon, capers, butter and parsley, amazing flavor. Lump Crab Toast bold and delicious flavor.The one dish I would pass on next time is the Tins. We had one tin with Sardine In Olive Oil With Lemon and one with Hake In Green Sauce. They just lacked flavor.Service was top notch.“

“It's a tragedy that Manzke is closing at the end of February. A restaurant this good shouldn't have to close. Everything is fantastic. The food is rich in flavor with a cocktail and wine list as close to perfection as possible. I'd encourage anyone who loves fine dining to enjoy Manzke while you can. “We love Found Oyster!!! It’s like this restaurant was made for us!! Really good wine list with different varietals than some other local places, and orange wines! “I've been wanting to try different omakase places in the LA area for a while now, and stumbled upon Omakase by Ozen online - and I'm glad I came! Reservations were made quickly and easily via Yelp, and I love that I was able to change my reservation time without much of a hassle. My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate after I took the MCAT, so we were extremely hungry when we got here. I think this place might have had valet out front, but we opted to just find street parking in the neighborhood for a ~5 minute walk (which worked out afterwards since it let us walk off our food!). The actual restaurant is a very small and quaint place; we sat at a table instead of the bar but I thought the decorations were very cute. Service was very fast and attentive. They handed us a menu as soon as we came in, and we ordered the $130 omakase - which was a pretty good deal for the quality of the food and the whole experience. I do have to say that I was not full after the meal (so my boyfriend and I ended up getting more food afterwards at a different place), but I did enjoy my time here. Definitely worth a try if you're celebrating because of the food and the service, but I personally don't think I'd come back for the omakase.“

“Verse is a Super Cool Restaurant and Venue !! My Wife and I met my one of my Sisters and her Colleague from Paris. Great vibe as soon as you enter, with a very nice Bar, Jared was Great. Hostesses were very courteous and keep us well posted on table status, seating quite promptly at time of reservation and excellent table, almost dead center and just a 2 person table between us and Band-Stand. Music was flat Phenomenal, like Master Classic/Contemporary Jazz Musicians, Bass, Drums, Lead Guitar and Grand Piano, can't say enough about how good they were and fabulous it sounded. Food was very Flavorful, but some little hiccups. Milkbread and soft butter was excellent, hard to stop eating. Yellowtail Crudo Starter was one of best dishes of evening, beautiful fresh Yellowtail, Crudo and and wonderful sauce with delicious notable citrus flavor. Branzino looked excellent, Lamb Pasta was very tasty and robust, we had 2 Duck with Potato Pave & Chives which was super high quality and tasty, BUT Duck was undercooked on both Plates :(, I still enjoyed but my Wife did not. Sides of Broccolini, Crushed Purple Potatoes and Roasted Carrots were all very fresh and had excellent flavors, BUT my wife (Fabulous Chef/Cook) noted that Broccolini was a little Too Al Dente :(. We enjoyed an Excellent Bottle of Burgundy that my Sister chose based on recommendation by Matias (Owners Son, Wine Director and Sommelier), which was light bodied but packed plenty of earthy and fruit notes with a beautiful silky smooth and long finish, excellent accompaniment to our meals. The Sorbet was fantastic, fresh, flavorful and served with Raspberries & Strawberries. Last hiccup, I wanted a Cafe Mocha or Expresso or even just Coffee, to my disbelief we were told that they had runout of Coffee Beans and had NONE, it was only like 9:45 PM, not sure how that was allowed to happen, but...it did. Last note, table service could have been much better and our primary server could work on his table presence, we had to wait a few times just to get anyone's attention, I asked our server at least 3 times, maybe 4 who the Band was (Name) and he NEVER got it for me, he had to keep telling me he had forgotten to ask or just had not. No matter the Hiccups, this is a very cool place for Dinner and Music, like Super Cool.Parking: We arrived at 6:30 on a Saturday evening, and got the last parking (free after 6PM) spot on street, almost directly in front of Door, so was very good/lucky for us.“

“I went for my birthday based on reviews & I needed something to enjoy. I’m typically a Ruth Chris girlie, but I’ve been so many times. I took myself btw. I made a reservation, valet was very kind, I couldn’t even tell you how many people checked on me to make sure I was doing okay but I appreciated everything. The bread was amazing, the recommendations were amazing, even the other guest in the restaurant were sweet and told me happy birthday & took pictures of me. The atmosphere was beautiful, the lighting was perfect too. They even gave me a birthday card & the dessert was a 10/10. It was literally the best birthday I’ve had in years. “Im so glad I finally discovered Yama! I am in love with the Yama special California roll - I’m disappointed to see that it’s not available to order separately on Door dash - Please add it there! The only thing I haven’t loved so far was the unagi roll, it had a rubbery texture. Maybe I just was unlucky with that one. Overall really good sushi! “Came here for a benchmark birthday year celebration and it was a perfect choice. The staff was so friendly and warm. The place did not seem snobby for a highly technical tasting menu. It is pricey but worth it. Some of the best bites I've had ever. The wine was great and the cocktails were so creative and well done. It was also a great learning experience learning more about the Taiwanese culture. The tasting menu was a great experience and well designed course schedule. The amount of savory and umami to sweet courses were perfectly balanced. Almost as if they were reading my mind what I was craving next, a few moments later the server came by with the perfect dish. I know this place has had plenty of recognition but it deserves it all and more.“

“Loreto is currently my favorite restaurant. I don’t even consider myself a seafood person but wow, every dish they have brings me closer to it. Drinks, food, desserts, and service are all impeccable. Tonight we got to do the omakase which was so unique and a really amazing experience. “I showed up late so I didn't get to try everything, but the shrimp dumplings were a joy! It's dark as hell in there so if you're over 30, take a seeing-eye friend as your dining companion. We ordered them along with fresh baked bread and the chopped shrimp louie salad for a perfect light and delicious early dinner. Of course you'll need to pair the meal with one (or two) of the excellent wines by the glass. The dessert menu is also worth a look. The view is great, the service outstanding and the menu innovative.“

“We had a delightful experience today! We started with the Chowder Sampler, then had the Crab Cake, Monkey Bread, and the Live Sea Urchin. We then got the Black Cod with Blistered Snap Peas. This dish was our least favorite, although it wasn't bad. We ended our meal with the Boozy Brûlée and Ice Cream. Beware! The Boozy Brûlée is made with Four Roses Bourbon, and it is so very boozy flavored! We really enjoyed our meal, the service, and the atmosphere!“

“Walking Santee Alleys makes you hungry and Mex Peru Gipsy is EXCELLENT, 5 star for food and service. My family ordered a little bit of everything - the gotta has a chipotle sauce which brings together the flavors perfectly. The menudo was authentic and they bring out all the condiments. The lomo saltado and tallarín was perfect. The serve is fast and friendly as if you're eating with family. Everyone here takes great pride in what they serve. “I tried out Playita Mariscos for lunch. I've been driving by for a long time. It is owned by the Guisados people so I expected the food to be good. I ordered the Campechana Mixta. The cold tomato broth was fantastic. I really like the raw shrimp, crab and fish. The Octopus was a little tough for my taste. They have a parking lot, which on Sunset, is a plus.“

“The salmon plate was delicious. Salmon was perfectly cooked. All of the side dishes were perfectly cooked and savory. The environment was great for conversation. Not too quiet not too noisy. The service was amazing. From the moment we walked in the door everyone was so attentive. Only thing that could use some help are the mixed drinks but they weren't bad. Overall a really good experience.“

“Came here on a Sunday and barely made it brunch. We sat at the bar and it wasn't packed. This was around 2:45pm. They were nice enough to still serve us brunch even though the kitchen was going to close in 10 minutes. I got the salmon egg Benedict and my friend got the shrimp and grits. I liked mine, I've had better but it was just the right meal since I didn't want to feel so full. It came with a salad. My friend seemed to enjoy hers. We both got the same drink called Fanny something. Our bartender was so nice and fun and we all got along but the drinks are overpriced and it seems like they fill them with mostly ice so I'm good on their drinks here. Our bartender made us some good shots though with tajin and pineapple with a mango hint. The ambiance is so pretty. I'm open to trying more of their dishes but idk about their drinks.“

“Crown of India has excellent and delicious food, and the serving staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend eating here. They are very accepting of LGBT community. May I suggest their garlic/cheese naan. I don't know of any other Indian restaurant that makes this form of naan. I take all my friends there for a wonderful meal.“

This was the spot after the world reopened and the outdoor seating made everyone feel a little more COVID safe. I think they started feeling themselves a little too much. After my wife and I had our first couple visits there, it was great. However, subsequent visits went from awful to the absolute worst. They failed to recognize our reservations a couple of times and when they got it wrong, they made us rush to order. I would get their food again but suggest getting it delivered to spare their nonsensical restaurant/business practices. If you want the pulpo, get it there and not for delivery. And for some reason, when you get the saltado delivered, you don't get the egg. I'm assuming it's due to possible foodbourne illness issues. Five stars for food, one star for service/attitude.“

“It’s our first time to experience this place. We were immediately seated by Briana(hope i have her name spelled correctly)very impressive personality, she let us feel at home. She presented us with their menu and suggested some. My wife, daughter and I had a long discussion as we wanted almost all that was there, finally we chose what we really wanted according to what we can consume and we would not want to waste any. Waiting time for prep was acceptable, Briana was always there to make sure we were comfortable and ok. Food was served, and it was done as we wanted. Very delicious food, a bit pricey but it does not matter, was compensated by the greatness of the food and the excellent and caring service. We highly tecommend this place. My recommendation: get every single flavor of grilled oyster (the true stars of the place imo) and the key lime pie, which looks unassuming but is some of the most solid pie I've had in LA. Love that they promote sustainable shellfish as well. The raw oysters were sweet and flavorful but expensive. Although I don't regret ordering the deviled eggs, I probably wouldn't get them again. This unassuming little oyster bar is tucked in a busy food hall. Service is top notch.“
