“We arrived at 615 for a 630 reservation. The place was packed with a line for fine in and take out. Staff was nice but very overwhelmed as the phone was ringing also. When seated we were greeted and served drinks promptly. We waited a bit longer for appetizers and mains. The table was so small we were constantly shifting plates around and consolidating. Overall the food prep was standard with presentation rushed. Two things to note: First, do not be enchanted by the use of the words “lobster” or “baby lobster”, read the full description to find “crawfish”. Second, my greatest disappointment was the imitation crab. Lastly the use of mayonnaise was too heavy for my taste and interfered with the fresh taste of the food.“

“Great little independent restaurant. The world needs more unique places like this. If only people could tear themselves away from McDonald's and other gross corporate dumps and try something new once in a while. The service was very good. Yeah, they were in the back working when I came in, but they came out right away, so I can't see why anyone would feel the need to complain about that. They were out of a couple menu items this last visit, like their açaí, but it's all good because they have a varied menu and good prices. The interior is decorated with custom art pieces. Just go, ok?
Vegetarian options: Açaí and all that implies... several rolls are meatless (avocado, daikon, and so on).
Dietary restrictions: Easy for a gluten free person to eat here.
Parking: Tons of parking.
Wheelchair accessibility: Handicapped parking very nearby. A wheelchair could easily roll in. Flat floor layout; no steps or stairs. Spacious, private bathroom.“

“My girlfriend and I came in here looking for some solid ramen and got exactly that. She just got back from Japan and explained how it’s the exact style of ramen they have there. I’m a self-proclaimed food snob and this was easily the best ramen I’ve ever consumed. Plus, the cucumber appetizer will blow your mind.
I got the classic tonkotsu, she got the miso ginger. Both were incredible. The broth, the egg, the noodles (both vegan and not).
The service was also incredible. The host sat us at “his favorite table.” Our waiter, Rainer, was extremely kind and asked a ton about us. When we raved about the cucumber appetizer, he told the chef, Alex, who then came out and chatted with us about the dish, where we’re from, and our love for food.
Will definitely be coming back and highly recommending to the homies“

“I pop in here probably once a week sometimes twice for a glass of wine. The bartenders are very cheerful and informed with respect to varieties and flavors and all the jazz. They walk you through the options and make tip top recommendations. The place is always slammed at night, yet the manager is extremely accommodating and always finds a place for me to chill and savor the weekend ambiance. I’ve never had their food, but it looks delicious. All the servers are friendly and have excellent people skills. The outdoor space is a fun hang too if you have a group. I always feel spoiled here. 5 star experiences.“

“What an experience! I didn't even do the chef experience and got such a wonderful dinner! I was so jealous of the people experiencing it so I'm definitely doing that next time
I celebrated my first anniversary here and it was such a joy. Some people get worried they will leave a Michelin star restaurant hungry. But i was stuffed!!!
Everyone at the restaurant was amazing, kind and really took care of you! I kind of just want to come back just to experience that as well!
Since their menu constantly change, I think it's just best to say: trust the chef. You won't regret it! Or let the pictures do the talking!
I'm 100% coming back with my family to treat them to this!“

“Absolute perfection. The food, the service and the atmosphere are outstanding. The most buttery, delicious salmon I’ve ever had…couldn’t stop eating the salmon hand rolls. Every single thing had incredible flavor and melted in your mouth, staring with the garlic edamame. Try it out, you won’t be disappointed.“

“I like this katsu place. We also tried the spicy miso ramen. It was good, but quite spicy, so if you can’t handle spicy food, I think it’s better to choose something else. Expect to wait for a while during dinner time. If you order katsu to-go, they will give you the whole set in a bento box.“

“Norikaya is a hidden gem in LA! The unagi strawberry temaki was our favorite – sweet, savory, and really unique. We also loved the tropical salmon, it was so fresh and light! The staff were super friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even better. They even recommended a delicious sake that we ended up loving. If you're looking for a fun and delicious night out, definitely would recommend!“

“A true hidden gem that I hope won't be hidden for long. Some of the best poke and handrolls I've had in LA. All very fresh fish, flavorful seasonings, and big portions, especially the huge handrolls. Better than Kazunori. I recommend the blue crab and spicy tuna.“

“4.5 ⭐️s for overall experience! My friend, her kids, and I enjoyed our meal in mostly every way - flavors, service, and cleanliness. The house salad was healthy (not just iceberg lettuce) and had a generous portion for one person. My friend said it was super delicious - Sunset roll, blue crab roll, and miso black cod were on point flavor wise. Only negatives were that the seaweed was a bit chewy (not super tough though) and the soup slightly salty. The staff was kind, friendly, attentive, and patient - hard to come by these days. Prices are reasonable and I plan to come back. Parking is tougher at times in this plaza, but at some point, you'll find a spot.“

“Had an awesome birthday lunch at Oku-Niku today!
My husband took me out for some Japanese bbq & had a great time. They have an AYCE option for $55 and a premium AYCE with higher cuts of meat for $75. We decided to not do ayce bc we didn’t want to over eat due to our dinner plans later in the evening. So we ordered their 2 meat lunch option—picked the prime short rib and beef belly. It came with rice, smashed cucumber salad and miso soup for $25. Great option for those who want to have a light meal. We also added on pork jowl ($12) and their A5 Waygu ($45). We cooked them at the table just like kbbq. All the meats were melt-in-your-mouth good. I loved the sauces they provided and the lemon pepper seasoning as well. The service here was fantastic. I wish we got the name of our waitress who was so kind and very attentive! She gave me a slice of their tasty yuzu cheesecake on the house, which was so sweet and thoughtful. I recommend this place if you are looking for a tasty meal and amazing service.“

“Loved this place! Didn't know it was Japanese food until we looked it up. Lol. The tonkatsu curry was excellent! The katsu was fried perfectly and the meat was tender and melted in your mouth! We were looking for a local Japanese place to eat and we finally found one minutes away from us. Can't wait to go back!“

“This has been my go-to place now when i want to eat somewhere that is affordable, has a good value and in a setting where i can grab other things for my shopping on my way in or out. I find myself sitting for hours here enjoying a lot of food at good prices and just the ambience of being in a foodcourt setting.
Ther offer a curry dish and a katsu dish with everything they have. The curry dishes just has the item with rice and curry, however, if you add a dollar more, you get a katsu dish when includes a soup and salad. Theyre not stingy with their portions either, so expect all their servings to be huge. Its actually enough for me to take home and feed me for at least two more meals. Of all the options they have, i recommend the fish katsu - every time ive had it, i can barely close the lid, the texture is the most crunchy and the inside is cooked just right... and i just like fish.“

“Omakase by Osen , a traditional Japanese dining experience where the chef selects the dishes for you, offers a truly unique and personalized approach to sushi and Japanese cuisine. This restaurant brings the authentic art of omakase to life, and it's clear that the chefs take immense pride in their craft.
From the moment you step inside, Omakase by Osen exudes a warm, minimalist ambiance with a modern twist. Soft lighting, wood accents, and clean lines create an inviting, intimate atmosphere that feels both high-end and welcoming. The staff are professional, attentive, and knowledgeable, with a deep understanding of the ingredients used. They are eager to explain each dish and offer pairing suggestions, which enhances the experience for diners unfamiliar with Japanese culinary traditions.
The food is, without a doubt, the star of the show. The menu reflect the freshest, in-season ingredients, and the chefs craft each dish with precision and care. The sushi is exceptional, each piece is an artful masterpiece. The fish is impeccably fresh, often sourced directly from top-tier fish markets, and the rice is perfectly seasoned. Highlights include buttery, melt-in-your-mouth toro, delicate sea bream, and rich uni. The accompanying garnishes and sauces are thoughtfully balanced, never overpowering the natural flavors of the seafood.
Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Japanese cuisine.“

“Hot take: way better than Silverlake Ramen down the street. Better portions. Better food. They can easily accommodate my kid’s random eating habits and they have options outside of ramen for that one person in the group that just isn’t in the mood. Staff is nice and attentive without hovering. So happy they’re back open again. The remodel is great! No notes from a design point of view.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options and modifications.
Dietary restrictions: That same kid is a vegetarian and they have no issues augmenting things for her.
Parking: Parking is shared with the small shopping center. Plenty.
Kid-friendliness: We always have our kid with us when we eat here. It’s usually her idea.
Wheelchair accessibility: There’s a ramp into the sidewalk. The restaurant isn’t cramped. Plenty of room for a few wheelchairs in there simultaneously.“

“Great hole in the wall sushi spot in Burbank! All the sushi & sashimi we had was delicious. Hamachi Kama was wonderful too - meaty & flavorful! Was on the pricey side of what we usually like to spend but a nice treat! That said, we did have a few sakes which added up to the total…“

“This place is great! I don't know why some people are giving negative reviews… delicious, innovative food; intimate, modern vibe/decor; and our server Alice was awesome. “I came here for lunch omakase over 6 months ago and still think about this place! The chefs were friendly, service was wonderful, the restaurant itself was clean and had a nice calming vibe, and the sushi was everything you would want in an omakase experience. I personally like simple flavors and not too many sauces that distract from the fish, and each course, I thought was perfect. any flavors were perfect compliments to bring out the natural freshness and taste of the fish. I didn’t feel like any course was a “filler” course, we kept saying each one that came out was our favorite. I have had many omakase experiences where I left feeling unsure whether it was worth the price but this place was absolutely worth every penny. I only wish I lived closer! Thank you for such a wonderful experience.“

“Loved their Hakata ramen. The broth is super tasty. Their seared pork belly is yummy too. Service is good and love that you can customize the ramen which make it very easy with picky eaters. The only thing can do better is their air conditioning is quite weak. It's not easy to eat hot ramen when it is so warm inside.“
