“I always forget about this hidden gem, since the signage isn’t super obvious from the road. I’m so glad I remembered this place, though! The food and coffees are great, and the staff is very friendly. It’s easily one of my favorite spots on this stretch of Foothill. I’ll definitely return more frequently when I’m in town!“

“House of Joy has quickly become one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the area. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome — friendly smiles, fast seating, and attentive service throughout the meal. You can tell they truly care about their customers.

Every dish was packed with flavor and came out piping hot. The dim sum was especially impressive — fresh, perfectly cooked, and not greasy at all. The Peking duck and salt-and-pepper shrimp were standouts, but honestly, everything we tried was delicious. Portions are generous and prices are very fair for the quality you get.

What really sets House of Joy apart, though, is the level of service. Our tea cups were never empty, plates were cleared promptly, and the servers checked in just enough without ever being intrusive. It felt like dining at a place that truly values its guests.

Whether you’re coming for family dinner, a casual lunch, or a special occasion, House of Joy is a gem. Highly recommend — can’t wait to come back“

“The Korean side dishes are very good. I usually am not a big fan of kimchi, but theirs is fantastic. Soups are amazing bbq is also so so good. They prepare the BBQ not a self cook. Portions seemed generous as well. Though a smaller restaurant in strip mall decor is very nice.“

I had they're tacos today. Their grill cheese, Mac and cheese and BLT were all really good too.

“The little plates are yummy. I love the pita bread that came with the hummus (Salatim plate). The other plates were good also. I loved the bread pudding (I think it's better than the best cake). What I like the most about Bacari, besides the beautiful ambiance, is the friendliest staff.“

Got to sit inside by the bar, the food here is okay, but a bit pricey for what it's worth. Been to many affordable to very expensive sushi places in the U.S. and in Asia, this place is more IG/social media friendly picturesque place than an actual sushi/sashimi place. Not much nigiri/sashimi choices. Not a big fan of places that sell pre-made canned alcohol with an extreme markup.“

This place is food science taken to the next level of flavor. Queso dip is a must-try, and the Gouda-Steak sandwich is a star. That being said, I've never not loved a menu item here. On to the food - Gourmet Carribean is a must try! the oxtails, jerk chicken, curry chicken, chick peas and the Friday special, Jerk Salmon. Everything I've tried is delicious.
