“Definitely some of the very best pho Long Beach has to offer (several sizes available for most the small or regular seems to be sufficient. They do have L & XL sizes available for the truly very hungry guests).

The broth is neither too salty nor too sweet- spiced perfectly not at all cloying as some can be.

“A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful restaurant, thanks to my two friends who are regulars here. One of California’s strengths is its ability to excel in vegetarian and vegan cuisine in ways that other states have yet to achieve. This restaurant specializes in Vietnamese vegetarian dishes, serving each one fresh and with great care. The owner and chef are incredibly welcoming, and their passion for cooking infuses each dish with a comforting, almost healing quality.

I tried the vegetarian Bun Bo Hue with soy beef, a dish I hadn't had since my last visit to the Los Angeles area, and it completely satisfied my craving. The fried tofu is particularly remarkable; I still dream about it. I’m intrigued by how it remains light and crispy without any hint of greasiness or oil.

“We ordered the spring rolls and pho with beef and meatballs and both were excellent. I especially liked the dipping sauce for the spring rolls. We ordered to-go and all components were packed separately including peanuts to add to the dipping sauce. We received excellent service when calling ahead to order and at the location.“

“This is not the mainstream Pho restaurant that I'm familiar with. I tried "unsual" dishes, and I'm glad I did.

1st - chicken salad. It's shredded veggies (cabbage and carrots) with chicken fillet. What was unusual was the dressing when compared with American chicken salad. The dressing was a combination of fish sauce, ginger, and garlic blend. Add some chili for some kick. Magic happens when you combine the sauce with the salad. I wasn’t expecting that I would be blown away with it. I loved it so much.

2nd - Chicken soup with flat nodles. They serve the soup separately from the chicken and the usual thai basil and blanced sprouts on the side. It's up to you to assemble your plate. The broth was tasty and herby after putting the thai basil.

3rd - Chicken internal organs - heart, liver, etc. It was prepared well and a great topping to either the salad or the soup.

Everything tasted awesome and will definitely come back again to try their other dishes next time.“

“Excellent & fast service: I was able to easily swap out different noodle and meet options for my pho - wanting to try something different I was deciding between the egg and glass noodles so I went with glass! I also don’t like meatballs generally so replaced that with extra tendon. The owner was very friendly, accommodating and open to my suggestions so 5 stars for that! Broth and meat quality is good although falls short of the best at Pho RedBo. Broth is 3 because a tad bland lacking the richness of Pho Quang Trung and Pho RedBo while meat is a solid 4.
Because it’s near me and price is good for what you get, I’ll come back!“

-fast service, nice waiters who know English and Viet
-lots of herbs and salad, which is a must for this dish
-super crunchy! You can hear it in every bite. This is a result of using more oil, which can be felt in some bites, but overall very good

“Solid pho tai for $13, lots of noodles, meat, and broth. The meat is a little too lean and I wish I could get a larger side of hoisin and chili sauce when dining in. All the side addons came in a little baggie, and the mung bean sprouts seemed to be cut in half. Overall, rather go here than drive into LA for Pho 87.“

“Been here twice for a takeout, once for garlic noodles and once for the vermicelli. Both were delicious.
The chicken I had with garlic noodles was well-seasoned and not too salty, and wasn't dry. The pork I had with the vermicelli was also well-seasoned. The garlic noodles came with thinly sliced, sauteed beans of some kind and had a nice crispy texture. The vermicelli came with sliced almonds, lettuce, bean sprouts, Thai basil, and cucumber and were fresh.
It's a relatively small shop, so a large party of 6+ should probably do a takeout.“

“Wow, the taste was amazing - both the pho and the cucumber lemonade. The pho was richly and deeply flavored and was satisfying while still being bright and fresh feeling. The service was very prompt, friendly and helpful - the server understood my not liking overly sweet drinks and recommended the cucumber lemonade as refreshing while still having sweetness. It was, indeed, refreshing and sweet - perfectly balanced flavors. The server also wisely suggested we package the noodles and broth of our leftovers seperately. They only get 4 stars due to the amount of meat in my Pho No 1 order. There was barely any and it was mostly noodles. Tasted great just only had 2 to 3 pieces. Most Pho places I’ve been too are much more generous with their serving size. Still will return.“

“Best Hoi An food in Orange County! We had the Cao lầu, bánh đập, and nem lụi thịt nướng. All three were fantastic! The owner was very friendly, and even brought us free chè for dessert! The menu is also quite large, with some great choices available that you can't find at other Vietnamese restaurants. I also appreciate the traditional Hoi An lanterns for decor. “This unassuming restaurant in the entrance of a supermarket is a hidden gem. Found it looking for Bo Luc Lac in the LA area and found it via Instagram review than made me want to drive all the way from Long Beach and I was not disappointed, as they serve one of the better Luc Lac, tender and well balanced on sauce and pepper. Their medium is more well done than medium so adapt your request based on that.The rest of the dishes are also very well executed, fresh and flavorful. The service is efficient and friendly while attentive.Well worth a trip if you Are not close, you will not be disappointed.

“This was Father's Day. The place was crowded. Tammy, the waitress, did an excellent job. There was a party of 12 making things difficult for her, but she smiled and kept her cool. This is one of my most favorite places to dine out.

“This Pho place is an absolute hidden gem in El Monte.
Pho Bac is splendidly delicious. Mostly importantly, the Pho was not oily or salty, opposed to many other Pho spots in this area. The soup comes out scalding, which is how I like it. Meat was fresh and tasty. The pricing for food you see on the menu is what you are expected to pay and no tax. Not expensive. The staff here is friendly and flawless. I always leave a nice tip.

“First time here and I loved it! I got the vegetarian ham bahn mi, my friend the veggie turkey. Both were amazing. The bread was so crisp and light. Crunchy veggies and tasty plant based 'meat'. It did come with mayo, so not vegan without modification. They also sell the veggie deli meat by itself!

Long, service staff, was friendly and attentive to customers.

Van Huynh, restaurant owner & chef, has a great personality and cooks delicious Vietnamese foods. Dishes includes pho, broken rice, vermicelli, Chinese noodle soup, chow fun & mein, congee, Banh mi, Vietnamese deserts, milk shakes, and smoothies; all at a reasonable price. She took her time to greet me and even strike a pose for a photo which is posted on her Google map restaurant. Thank you Van!

The restaurant has nice decorations, clean, well lit, and well air conditioned on this warm day.
