“This is a hole in the wall. The sauces this places produces is pack with flavor. These bold flavors come in different variations of heat mild is ok the hot one is spicy but enjoyable and extra hot you better be ready to guzzle water. You can taste the difference in the spices the owner Nam uses he takes pride in his work and the taste is there. No wait unlike the big name places, but their food speaks volumes. This place holds true to great food from a family business. This place has won this foodie over. Hidden Gem in Covina there are a few of these places and this is one of them. Glad to have stumbled upon it. Glad I didn't listen to the 1 bad review.“
“A bit pricey, but it's an excellent Pho restaurant. Food are really delicious ? Parking might be difficult. Tiny plaza with narrow parking spaces. But people come and go quickly... I took out 1 ⭐ for their parkings. Really hate their parking.“
“Honestly best vegetarian place ever! The food is very good and the desserts are even better! The host/waiter was very friendly and even gave me a random sample of one of their desserts. Area is very clean and modern. I will definitely come here again!!“
“I have mixed feelings about this place. While it has been my go to spot on rainy days this past season, it's been a hit or miss. Sometimes it's like the best pho ever and other times the meat is really undercooked and the broth wasn't hot enough to cook it further which resulted in a rather rubbery experience. All in all, I think I will continue to come back as everything else was enjoyable.“
“Had an excellent weekend lunch experience here! Boston Lobster Seafood is the type of place that lets the food speak for itself. I love the large family dining setups, easily allowing groups of 10 or more, equipped with dinner-turntables / lazy Susan’s!I love that their lunch specials (11:30-4pm) apply on the weekends as well, and we got a steak order from that menu. However, it was clearly the lobster that won our affection, perfectly spiced and cooked, presented with endless ginger, green onions, and jalapeños. Other notable standouts include the mapo tofu and gai lan (Chinese broccoli).Would definitely recommend this place and will be back!“
“I love this place. I've been going since I was a little kid (that was 20+ years ago). The staff and service is always so friendly and attentive. I love their Bún Chả Giò Chay. It's my regular order! They have a solid selection of Vegan Vietnamese food and very affordable prices. If you're looking for real Vietnamese Vegan food, this is the spot!“
“Wow! This small restaurant is packed of flavors! The atmosphere is inviting and charming. Our waiter was attentive, quick and efficient. The wait for food did not take long at all. I love that the menu was simple. There are rice plate, noodle and appetizers options. We had the Banh xeo. The plate came with 3 crispy mini Banh Xeo and served with a plate of fresh greens for wrapping. The noodles were bomb! The bun mam was so tasty. The broth had a hint of sweetness and a fermented fish taste. I love the pepper stuffed with Cha. Oh and the veggies that is served with the bun nam have a crunch to every bite. The pho was surprisingly good too. The broth was rich and flavorful. However, I do wish they serve the nuoc beo - onion oil. The rice plate was decent too. The flavor of the grilled meat was yummy. I would definitely come back here again! Try the bun mam!!“
“Cash only. The best banh mi according to Eater and it did not disappoint. The bread is freshly baked and the ingredients are fresh. The #1 comes in a roll while the #11 is a baguette. The #1 is classic while the #11 has less bread in each bite. It would be better if they layered the ingredients better, all the greens like cilantro and jalapenos were pushed to one side. The service is fast. The atmosphere is bare bones but inviting.“
“Plenty of seats. Clean tables. Plenty of condiments. Decent prices. Floor is kinda dirty. Lighting is a bit dark. Non gender neutral restrooms. Semi clean. I ordered the boon bye hwei and it was surprisingly good... the noodles were perfect, plenty of meat, NOT watered down soup. My only concern is that it wasn't temperature hot. Overall, i would definitely recommend this place.“
“This is definitely a 7-8 out of 10. A huge shoutout for keeping prices low! The taste was good. The workers are all very friendly. The food comes out fast. If you want better Pho, you'll have to check out some neighboring places. If you happen to be in Baldwin Park, this will work.“
“It has a very nice atmosphere, clean. We ordered the number 10 + 27 and additional order of the ribs. Very good quality meat, esp the ribs fall off the bone tender. The standard combo has a lot of meat and the pho noodles retain its chewiness and does not fall apart. Broth is rich tasting. The 27 stir fried filet mignon also tastes excellent with its garlic stir fried taste.“
“Love this place! Best Banh Xeo around with a uniquely crunchy outer shell and the most beautiful assortment of perfectly fresh and delicious greens. Costs more, but it's definitely worth it. The atmosphere is exactly as it should be... you know you're paying for tasty, authentic food, not fancy decor. Will definitely be back!“
“Wait for a table was fine, didn't take that long. The interior was very nice and clean. Food was yummy. Only complaint that I have is that all of the food didnt arrive at the same time. One person in my group got the pho and got it by the time most of us were almost done eating.Parking: Even though it's free parking for the lot, it's really small. I recommend parking in the street and walking over to save time.“
“This place has great food and is in a great location, I was promptly greeted and offered a table upon arrival, the guy taking our order was friendly and informative about the menu, unfortunately they lost one star because the lack of cleanliness in the restroom ? and restaurant was not clean and inviting.Dietary restrictions: They offered accommodations base on your diet restrictions“
“Always such a great meal here. Duck soup is hard to come by and this place always delivers. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable about their craft. My family goes here at least once a week! Highly recommended. Their portion is big and price is good too!“
“Always a pleasure coming here. The food is packed with flavor, cooked to perfection, and served with generous portions.I work in the plaza and go here often for lunch. The service is always top-tier and the staff are welcoming. Whether you're taking it to go or enjoying the ambiance of the store, PhoX is the perfect place to get a delicious, filling meal.I go here at least once or twice a week and I don't plan on stopping any time soon!“
“The best pho in town ! They fill up your water constantly that's a big plus for me and it's fresh cold water. The pho was perfect the taste the amount if broth and meat, I recommend you coming here if you are craving that perfect bowl of pho“
“Don't let the outside fool you! This place is authentic and they have a great menu. We've been coming to Pho Lili for 2 ish year now. Their Pho broth is great and they have added new things to their menu. The owners are always kind and the service is always great. I've made it my mission to try as many Bahn Mi's and they do have one of the best! Please try their BBQ Pork Bahn Mi or spring rolls. Their BBQ pork is truly one of the best. Ambiance it's not the best, but I'm certain you won't be disappointed with the food. And at the end of the day is about the food and cleanliness and Pho Lili has both! Give them a try and support this business!“
“This place is the bomb!! Will be my togo place for a bowl of delicious SeaFood Wonton Noodle. The noodles were chewy, fresh perfectly cooked. The seafood and wonton were perfectly prepared and tasty. Have to give the wonton a perfect 10. We also had their Hai Nam chicken rice, which was also delicious. The place is so clean, servers were super attentive. This place beats Kim Ky by a mile. Will definitely come back.“
“One does not simply order Pho from any regular reataurant. During the chill of the winter months, one's pho must not only be hot enough to warm ones stomach, but the flavor must be equally satiating. Ladies and gentlemen, if you have been tired of subpar pho with equally poor service, I am glad to announce yo you all that your search for the best pho you've ever had is over. Not only is the broth steamy hot, but the specific flavoring this family restaurant utilizes is spectacular. You can tell that it is freshly made and that much effort has been expended to curate the best flavored broth I've EVER HAD. As a pho enjoyer, I can't believe I've never been here before. And if that is not enough, the lovely hostess/waitress, who is also part of the family that owns this business is the kindest and warmest soul I've ever had tend me at a Pho restaurant. The service is prompt, warm, and delivered with care. She's also very humorous and will engage with you in a little small talk!God bless this place. Do yourself a favor and warm yourself up with the most spectacular pho you've ever had.“
“I loved this place! They forgot to put tofu in the spring rolls but no matter, they were delicious. The soup broth was a little bland. I added some soy sauce which helped. The topping of fresh mint, bean sprouts, etc. made this meal refreshing. Updated from previous review on 2023-10-24“
“Finally good banh cuon in the SGV so I don't have to drive out to Garden Grove! This little shop is such a gem and run by a grandma, a sweet old lady who doesn't understand a word I say but communicates with me through exchanged smiles and a thumbs up. The banh cuon is bouncy, not super thin, but I love the bite to it. The pork filling is so flavorful and it's a great portion size for the price. I love that the bean sprouts and cucumbers come blanched, the fried sweet potato is perfectly fried. The food and the place just feels homey. It's one of those shops I want to gatekeep all for myself but also want everyone to know about so they never close down... hahah!“
“Stumbled on this place by chance while walking in the area. The staff is very friendly. The food took a while to come out but was worth the wait. Fresh & thoughtfully prepared. We had the bún thịt nướng chả giò. I added a fried egg which was also perfect! The pork was baked perfect & the egg roll was cut to perfect portions. The veggies were very fresh. The mango smoothie was also good. We also ordered some egg rolls after. They were good. The sauce was especially great!Only gripe was the wait, but the food was very good! Hope to come again.“
“Clean takeout only in a small shopping strip. The banh xeo was really good, the sauce, nước Chấm, was actually. There prices were reasonable. Eating there is challenging because they only give you a box so spreading it out to roll it with the lettuce then dip was messy. The accompanying herbs was actually really authentic, là lộc, only the Vietnam we and Japanese would eat.Protip. Eating there is not an option even though they a few stools with wall table but it's actually meant to people waiting to pick up order.“
“great food. we ordered phở for a cool late morning & sat outside so it was perfect. this is northern vnese style phở (which is just a little salty for my taste) but I appreciate the clear & not overly spiced broth. it's a straight forward & authentically honest bowl of phở. there are fresh spices, good quality beef & super tender meat fall-of-the-bone pork ribs. so good & so satisfying. vnse coffee (café sữa đá) is also right on the money! btw, for those who need it, you can load the soup up with siracchia & have a perfect hangover-buster ? you're welcome ? service is prompt & friendly - price is decent but not cheap. all in all, a winner for local norwalk & neighboring city. we'll definitely be back & highly recommend pho anvi. we need to keep good businesses around for fellow foodies.“
“My go to spot for 7 courses of beef and baked cat fish. Here's why:- Great value for a larger group (Last visit medium catfish, 4 portions of 7 courses of beef, and a couple of beers was less than $40/pp including tip)- I always leave full and satisfied- It's usually not crazy busy and they have a good amount of tables ( Last visit walked in on a Saturday night for 7 and there was no wait)- Staff is pretty friendly- 10% off with Yelp check-in for birthday celebrations- A handful of TVs if you need to have the game on while dining- They only charge extra for vermicelli and not for extra rice paper or veggiesTips:- It's been mentioned but call ~45 mins in advanced for the baked catfish so it'll be ready for when you show up- There are three main dipping sauces; super funky fermented fish, more mild fish sauce, slightly tart tamarind sauce. You can mix to your level of desired funk but the peanuts, sambal, pickled lemon grass helps temper everything- It's super hands on food, don't be afraid to ask for help if you didn't come with an experienced diner“
“They are really nice here. The young female cashier is very precise and the food is made with love and skill. Plus the hot chili crisp oil they sell is sooo good. The Batch X will make you cry and I love it. Looking forward to trying everything on the menu!“
“What I can say about the food is that I like to follow my taste buds. My taste buds says it was very flavorful and the quality felt and tasted top notch. it was also quite plentyful. As for the service, they were very eager to serve us. We were not ignored and they were very kind. As for the atmosphere, it is a bit quiet. if that's what you like then you'll love this place. if you prefer music in the background then you may want to try elsewhere. I like this place because it wasn't noisy and it took away a lot of the anxieties from most restaurants that I experienced. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes Vietnamese food and enjoys the friendly employees. Why did I give four star for flavor? I do this normally because I do believe that there's always room for improvement. Even with the best tasting food in the world. There's always room for improvement.Vegetarian options: I think there's plenty vegetarian/vegan choices.Parking: Vertical parking all around the restaurant from the street“
“When craving for some bun and rolls, this is a great place to be. I like their open-air seating arrangements when dining here. I always order Charbroiled Lemongrass Beef w / Shrimp Egg Rolls, hits the spot for me. Portion wise it’s really good. Their Summer Rolls are also filling, but on the pricier side.“
“Small, hole-in-the-wall place.Service is pretty fast considering there's only a couple people serving. This place's charbroiled meats are so good! Their vermicelli bowls and rice plates always hit the spot and the sides of egg and pork loaf and shrimp paste wrapped in tofu are tasty as well. You do not need the sweet fish sauce because everything is so flavorful by itself, but it's definitely a nice addition! However, I don't necessarily care for the soups here. Their pho broth is a little bland and imitation crab meat in the seafood soup someone in my party ordered was still cold in the middle.“
“A lively and casual dining Vietnamese restaurant that serves appetizers, phở, noodles, fried rice menu. When we came here on a weekday for dinner, the place was so crowded. We were in the waiting list for about 20 minutes. It wasn't bad because we could stroll around to nearby stores ?Let's see what we tried :Phở Combination ($19)This is the chef's recommendation. A complete phở as it consists of thin rice noodles with beef belly, tendon, brisket, one rib bone, white onions, scallions, and culantro in a savory, clear broth. All of the meat is tender. A great choice on a cold or windy day!Cajun Noodles with Shrimp and Sausage ($19)It can be served with rib eye steak or plain as it is (soy and butter noodle). A plate of wheat noodles with butter and cajun garlic sauce, shrimps, sausages, scallions. It's not that creamy yet not dry.Oh my, this is so good! A new item that can not be missed!Recommended!“
“We stopped in 30 min before they closed. I was skeptical about the quality of the food to be ordered. However, everything turned out great and tasted fantastic, just like homemade. The servers were really patient and kind regardless of the fact that they were about to close for the day. In some other places, I would have the feeling that I am being rushed to order, to finish my meal and to pay. However, not at this place.“
“This little Vietnamese joint is a real gem. Their banh mi xiu mai is my fav - imagine soft bread hugging tasty meatballs with a burst of flavors in every bite. Plus, everything else on their menu is just as good. The vibe is cozy, the staff is friendly - it's the perfect spot for a tasty meal that hits the spot.“
“This is a classic staple in our household both for takeout and dine-in. We more often than not take it to-go since it's close to home, and easy to pick up. The food itself is consistent and we love good pho on a chilly SoCal night. They also offer vegetarian broth for any vegetarians- just ask and they will substitute the broth. Honestly the service can be a little hit or miss depending on how big they are- but overall, is a good option for pho! Other consistent highlights: - rocket shrimp: fried whole shrimp dipped in a sweet and sour sauce - pork chop rice: whole pork chop w/ broken rice and fish sauce“
“I was skeptical to try to this place because it looks too modern. Sounds silly, but I usually like hole-in-the-wall places for "foreign" food because I have found that those places tend to have more authentic dishes. However, I have been to so many pho places around here and I can say that this one has a very tasty pho. The broth was very flavorful (the last place I tried had ok/good pho but I mentioned in my review that the broth there was lacking some in flavor). Also, I like tripe as a meat topping (which isn't as popular around here) and I don't always find the right meat combos that I like on other pho restaurant menus and the combo with all meats has some meats that I don't prefer. I like that here they have a two-item meat option and I can pick the two meats I really want. There is also a meatless and a vegan option with vegetable broth.Would definitely go back to try other menu items!“
“Whenever I'm in the area and don't feel like driving all the way to garden grove/westminister Pho Rowland hits the spot. Service is quick and friendly. Restaurant is usually busy but turnaround is quick. Food is delicious and satisfying. Only thing I would improve on is the fish sauce. Wish it had some more chili and garlic kick to it. Pho comes in large orders only!!“
“This is a restaurant I would frequent when I lived in the area. Veggie Pho is my personal favorite. I would usually order a BBQ chicken, or pork sandwich to go with it and a spring roll platter.Lemonade is freshly squeezed and super refreshing. I haven't been in years but I took advantage that I was in the area a couple days ago. Food is just as delicious as I remember which shows their consistency! ?Highly recommend this restaurant if you have the hankering for some hot ? Pho.Vegetarian options: Veggie Pho“
“1st time here ordered Beef Stew Pho “omg” love it flavor is so delicious only added the lime and sriracha that’s it… no needed to add any other flavors that’s how you know it’s good stuff tastes very authentic too! 5 stars for sure! Atmosphere is clean, bathroom clean, cozy environment love the many booths. Will definitely return.“
“My hubby and I love this spot, it's one of our favorites! The one issue is service and don't get me wrong the poor guy serving you is trying his hardest to wait 10 tables at one time he does a good job, but he needs help!!! Other than that this is a must try spot for pho!! PHO sure!!!!“
“Still scratching my noodles itch, I found my self at Quan Nem for Vietnamese pho. For the first time I saw an option for the fresh noodles. I opted for fresh and was glad I did. Fresh noodles are an extra tasty feature that goes with the very flavorful broth. I opted forThe spicy beef and oxtail soup. The fresh noodles were yummy and the bowl is huge. Vietnamese coffee and shrimp spring rolls rounded out my meal. Although a bit pricier than other pho shops, again huge portions.Yum“
“Hole on the wall type restaurant with basic Vietnamese food, customer service was not the greatest but that was to be expected from this kind of place. Food was tasty and great without frills. Had the cơm phần 2 người with chè 3 màu.“
“So tasty and generous with the portions. Love the fresh veggies in the bun. (Tastier grilled pork than golden deli temple city) Nice ladies. Make sure to say thank you, they work hard to make this delicious food! ? Could use more ambience but hey the food is great.“
“We always order the crispy egg rolls, shrimp spring rolls and pho with brisket and filet mignon. The peanut sauce is the perfect compliment to the spring rolls as is the sweet sauce to the egg rolls. The pho, with the added vegetables, is so filling and relaxing. This has been a family favorite for about 5 years now.“
“I have been Vietnam and had Pho from the north and the south. Vietnam is a long country and occupies the east coast of Southern Asia. Northern pho known as pho “bac” which translates to north. It’s more simple there, just beef soup with the essential 5 spice seasoning and tender sliced beef with fresh ginger. Southern pho has the “dac biet” which translates to special. Southern pho is packed with sliced beef rounds, and a variety of parts from the cow. This includes tripe, tendon, brisket, and beef balls, no fresh ginger. Portions in Vietnam are much smaller than the states and cost almost half.Pho Hai has both, the Pho Bac and the Pho Dac Biet. But, what makes it even more special is they have sliced Kobe beef as an add on to their pho. OMG! Their Kobe is thick sliced, just enough marbling and just melts in my mouth. The bowls are enormous and can actually feed 2 person. It’s loaded with lots of meat, almost every bite has meat and noodles. They serve their pho with fresh Basil, herbs, bean sprouts, fresh cut jalapeño and slice of lemon. The heart of a good Pho is the base of their soup, they use beef bones cooked for hours to extract all the beefy flavor of the broth. When consuming pho, the first thing I do is to take a spoon and taste the broth before I go in for the kill. This is when you know you will enjoy the rest of your meal Or you know you will have dry mouth later from all the MSG. Many pho establishments skimp on using a lot of beef bones for the soup. Instead, they use MSG-mono sodium glutamate as a cheat. I never had a bad experience with Pho Hai, their soup is always on point. They have a few secret items that is not on their menu, my favorite is the beef bone with beef marrow. This item is only available after 2pm and on a limited basis. It comes in a giant plate with a knife and fork, lots of meat and tendon is still stuck on the bone. The bonus is the bone marrow, it’s rich and savory. Also provide is a home made roasted chili sauce, dip the tendon or meat in and life is great.“
“Just had their pho again and it's delicious. The service was fast and attentive. He did a great job considering he's the only server this morning. The place is super clean and that's a plus. A little high for a pho place but, it's so worth it. If you're looking for a good clean broth and delicious pho, this is the place for it... doesn't matter the cost.“
“I incidentally found this Vietnamese restaurant - Sigon Noodles. I ordered Pho Dax Biet House Special Pho (regular size) at the very reasonable price of $10.95 and a dessert “three beans with coconut milk” at $4.50. Fairly quickly, I got my noodle. the beef taste perfect and beef is cooked just right: not raw but not too hard, giving you a meaty satiation with each bite. the tendons are very good: Part of the tendon is so well cooked that it melts in my mouth, and another pot has sufficient texture for you to enjoy the film of sinking your teeth into the tendon. crispy bean sprouts add the inviting fresh vegetable flavor to the soup, the basil spread it pleasant fragrance to the whole big bowl. the noodles are very good - everything is so right, with every bite every minute I enjoy this simple pleasure and absolute pleasure. it’s a true enjoyment with so reasonable CostAfter I satisfied myself with the delicious beef noodle, I began to enjoy my dessert - three beans with coconut milk. I am so very happy that I made the best choice to add this delicious dessert. It just took my dining experience to a new level! the beans are cooked very well, soft and fragrant. Coconut milk spread its soothing pleasure that goes through my nose and mouth through then down my throat down, carrying the enjoyment down and through. every spoon gives me renewed enjoyment. I enjoy every sip of the coconut milk, every chewing of the three beans. My pleasure did not diminish any little bit with every mouthful of the delicious dessert. I so feel so fortunate that I selected not only the right restaurant but also the two right dishes. I know I will return to Saigon Noodles next time I’m in Diamond Bar.“
“Incredible food, highly recommend.I was looking for a local seafood cajun boil place and Cookin' Crab is it!This place also has amazing Pho, it does cajun and Vietnamese very well.I got the snow crabs in a bag with the lemon pepper flavoring and it was delicious and plentiful.Bags are priced with seafood only, you will have to add any corn or extras you want in the bag however I had plenty of meat. This paired perfectly with the lemon pepper fries, also extremely well done.BEST CALAMARI I've ever had in my life, and I've eaten a lot of seafood, even in Italy! Calamari was strips instead of rings, perfect texture and not too much batter, just enough, absolute perfection. ?Partner had the filet mignon pho, which was tender and flavorful, will be going back frequently for both dinner options.Located in a strip mall so parking was available. Nautical decor was a nice touch, seating had booth and table options. Serves alcohol.“
“Tastier than expected but a little bit expensive compared to other Pho places.Atmosphere is more modern and new, lots of locals eat here so it’s definitely good. The service is okay but I’d come here again. Big parking lot so easy in and out.“
“Recently tried this spot being in the area an wanting a taste of some fresh food. I highly recommend this spot as you do get what you pay for the food is delicious freshly made, you can taste the flavors put into there food absolutely found my new spot.“
“Soooooooo FREAKING DELICIOUS! I’m telling these pho restaurants that are trending doesn’t beat how amazing fresh and delicious this place is!!! Everything had different flavors and it’s not as known so you get a calm and peaceful environment. But this place should get the Recognition it deserves!“
