“Ordered the Galbi-jjim and it was so tender and flavorful! The ribs were fall off the bone. Add cheese for extra flavor and a fire show. The side dishes were tasty. Service was good.

“This place has got the plaza vibe. The music, the crowd, the mix of smells coming from different stalls… it’s got that real neighborhood feel, the kind of place where my mom, who already makes friends everywhere she goes, somehow managed to make double here before the food even arrived.

Customer service? Fantastic. People? Even better. It’s the kind of spot where you feel like you belong.

Now, the food. Undeniably good. The Pollo Pibil, Poc Chuc, and Cochinita Pibil all carried that slow-cooked depth you hope for. Smoky, tangy, with those earthy citrus notes that hit just right. But then… the portions. Let’s just say, if your mom’s looking down at her plate after two bites asking, “Where’s the rest?”, you’ve officially crossed into emotional appetizer territory. Delicious, but not nearly enough to satisfy a hungry heart (or a hungry parent).

Had to whip out the wallet again just to make sure she didn’t leave hangry. So, let’s just say I wish the portions were larger (more family style).“

The curry is bold and savory. make sure to request picked vegetables for the curry. the chicken pasta is also rich and savory. both dishes complement each other without repeating the same experience. the portions are large so bring friends or bring home plenty of portions for leftovers.“

“We had a great experience at our first time visit here. We celebrated my son's birthday and brought in a cake. The food was amazing except for the Alaskan salmon that they substituted from what we originally ordered. They have an all day happy hour on Monday to Thursday. The service was excellent and the servers even sang happy birthday when they brought out the cake. The place was nice and clean and it wasn't crowded when we dined. The only problem was the people on the next table were too loud and there was no wall dividing them to our table so the guy sitting behind my son's girlfriend keeps on bumping into her every time he moved. “I order from No. 1 Chef often via Postmates. Something went wrong this time (not their fault, their computers were down), so my hubby and I took a quick trip to pick up our order. The lady was SOOOO nice and helpful over the phone. With that said, the food here is top notch! When I need comfort food, I get the egg flower soup and dumplings. The soup is ALWAYS hot and fresh and just feels like a hug. I've also ordered the egg fu yun, and trust this place is NOT stingy on the portions. Everything I've had has never disappointed. The hostess and wait staff were extremely patient and welcoming towards them but also the parents that were staying to observe. Even when you are busy (and this place is busy), you have to have clean tables AND seats. The lady wiped the table and we had to have her come back for the seat. 2. Again, the food is absolutely delicious and they are fast with orders.“
