“Wow. I had a long wait picking up someone from LAX so wanted boba. Gps led me to this nondescript place. Got the green Thai bob milk tea. Wow! Great flavor! Super subtle flower note, not so sweet, very light. Bob was warm and soft in the middle. This drink hits the boba spot and competes with the best of them in taste and in price.

Edit: Watch the ice! They give loads like 3/4 cup.“

Alfredo was so kind and welcoming, making sure we had an amazing experience from start to finish. The Dorados and Taco Combos were absolutely phenomenal, full of flavor and perfectly made. “The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.“

“My wife and I have been wanting to try this place for a while because we live in the neighborhood. We finally stopped in this evening and it did not disappoint! We frequent all of the sushi bars in the neighborhood and this one quickly rose to the top of our list. The fish was incredibly fresh across the board, regardless of what we ordered. My favorite roll was the lobster hand roll with soy paper, and the yellowtail sashimi special was also a highlight for us. The owner was very involved to make sure that everybody was enjoying their experience! We will certainly be back to try everything on the menu!“

“My wife and I went to the Grove in Los Angeles last night and we had dinner at "Sogno Toscana," an it was outstanding. It was perfect in every way; great food, great drinks, outstanding and friendly staff, beautiful location, etc. I love Italian food but I can't think of one Italian restaurant that I like, until "Sogno Toscano." The food was outstanding, and there was so much more we saw go by that we can't wait to go back and try. And the drinks were outstanding. I love martini's and they served the best martini I've ever had. Giacomo was our server and took great care of us. He's from Italy and "Sogno Toscana" brought him to America when they opened their New York restaurant, and now he's in LA for this new restaurant. Although very busy, the entire staff were very fun to be around, and most of them are Italian which is also great.“

“I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. You've been eating and drinking all day, and are exhausted? Don't leave yet! Wander into the back 'secret' whiskey bar, (Grain Whiskey Bar) and enjoy hand crafted cocktails from award winning bartenders (no, literally), in a gorgeous wood laden atmosphere. “We had minced pork on rice, beef noodle soup, Dan Dan noodles, basil eggplant, pork belly bun, shaved ice and dou hua.
Overall, the food is pretty good. With some fine tunes, it can be closer to the yummy level of food in Taiwan, like some red beans in dessert are still hard, Dou Hua is too dry and needs some liquid or shaved ice to go with it, traditional shaved ice is too sweet though I like it much better than Korean style shaved ice, and brown rice is too hard. Service is good. Staff is nice. The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. Order at the counter, self service for water, extra bowls and utensils.
We live in the west side, and we will come back to try other stuff on the menu.“

“Angelini Osteria totally lived up to the hype! We had a great dinner there that night and I can't wait to go back again soon. Let's start with the star of this show: uni pasta. Oh my gosh, it was divine! The uni was so fresh and creamy and the pasta itself was cooked just right. Every bite was an explosion of flavor. We also tried the baked lasagna and it was delightful. The layers were perfectly balanced and each bite was full of rich, savory flavors. Let's not forget dessert! We shared a few different things and they were all great. The tiramisu was fluffy and decadent and the chocolate mousse was rich and smooth. Overall, Angelini Osteria is definitely a must-try for Italian food lovers in Los Angeles. “It looks like most of the poke here, with the exception of the California roll (imitation crab) and tofu poke, use the same type of fish. Everything is well seasoned and delicious. We ordered two regular portions and were quite full.

I ordered the Hawaiian chili flake & Spicy with white rice and Grandma's pickles. She went with the Shoyu and Spicy with Grandma's pickles and opted to for the seaweed salad. Be aware there is upcharge of you decide to opt out of rice.

The love to get into this place was about to minutes. The staff is friendly and fast. There is a small counter and some tables right outside to eat at but it seems like most people take it to go. They will start running out of choices so get there early.“
