“5 stars for the delicious and high quality sushi. plus i have a gluten allergy and the chef/ server was super considerate and knew exactly what needed to be modified. my favorites were the bluefin tuna nigiri and the yellowtail hand roll (with soy paper), and i don’t typically like yellowtail.

however, i did not realize there was a 16% service fee included in the bill. it says so on the menu so that’s my oversight but at kazu nori, for example, the server tells you not to tip because of the service fee. so on the little screen i tipped 20% on top of the 16% service fee and tax. it’s my bad for not paying closer attention but they don’t verbally tell you either.“

“The stars aligned. We were overjoyed to find a BOB vegan restaurant, inspired by grandcestor Dr. Sebi's alkaline nutritional guide. Highly recommend Beyond Vegan - Culver City. The food was flavorful. My friend ordered the namesake quesadillas, and I ordered the jackfruit tacos with mango salsa. Double the flavor - we shared our meals. Yum! The portions were large, filling, and pleased my soul. What I thought to be a side of mashed sweet potatoes was warm, smooth mashed beans. Tacos and quesadillas on point. Purple wild rice was a delightful surprise. Diversity in texture, flavor, colors, and quality ingredients. No better way to catch up with a friend than eating outdoors at Beyond Vegan!“

“PlanTita’s is one of my very favorite restaurants. It’s family-run and inviting with absolutely authentic Mexican flavors. Highlights are the incredible elote “ribs” with an addictively creamy sauce, their aguachile with mock shrimp, and their loaded fries. All their pastries are amazing, I wish I lived closer 💔 Yes, they have a non-vegan establishment next door that is technically in the same building, and I believe it is a shared kitchen, but I’ve never had any issues. “I called in advance to ask questions about the resturant and food choice. The person on the phone was extremely helpful. When I got there the same person who I spoke to on the phone greeted me with a warm friendly greeting and smile. My Togo order was ready within 5 minutes.“

“The first time I came here, I got the No.8 and wasn’t a huge fan - I personally felt the toppings were overwhelming and I didn’t like the flavors together, BUT I could taste how amazing the everything bagel was underneath. The dough was soft and chewy and it was actually salted well which in my experience, is pretty rare. So I came back and this time just got butter and scallion cream cheese on an everything bagel so I could taste the bagel more on its own, and it was amazing. The bagel is genuinely so good you can eat it on its own, which is not something I can say for most bagel places I’ve been too. The scallion cream cheese is also genuinely amazing, it’s super light and fluffy and delicious. From now on my go to order is everything bagel with scallion cream cheese on the side so I can enjoy it plain and with the CC.

Also every single staff member I’ve met has been incredibly kind, genuine, and helpful, it’s nice to come to a place that people seem genuinely happy to work at and be a part of. And who knows, you may like the No.8 (I hear it’s popular!) it just wasn’t for me.
