“This is by far the best of the combo chinese food restaurants' orange chicken. And i really like the flavor of their chow mein, it's more garlicky than other places which are more bland. But i usually go out of my way to go here if i get the chance.“

Everything was authentic choosing reminded me of Hong Kong, fish was on par with china and the lotus root was reminiscent to my childhood.“

“I had such a great experience at Hong Kong Express Chinese Restaurant! The food is absolutely packed with flavor — I tried the delicious orange chicken, the unique and spicy teriyaki chicken, and the tasty kung pao chicken. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The portions are incredibly generous for the price — they really fill up the to-go boxes, so you definitely get your money’s worth. On top of that, the service was excellent, fast, and very friendly. I will definitely be coming back, often.“

“I didn't actually dine this time. I went to reserve space for the weekend for my ladies social club. We HAVE eaten here many times. It's one of our favorite spots! The food is plentiful, the service is good and the staff is very accommodating. For the amount of food they provide, the prices are EXCELLENT! You get such a large amount of deliciousness for the simple, singular prices. LOVE the food quality and quantity! If you haven't already, you should give it a try. I'm sure you'll love it as much as we do.“

“I was craving quick, cheap, and delicious Chinese food, and was super focused on getting a good value with massive portion sizes. I googled easy Chinese spots going down the 405 and came across Chinese Kitchen. Johan was 12/10 in customer service. They let me sample everything and every single dish was genuinely so flavorful and tasty. I couldn’t recommend going here enough.“

“My husband and I were driving around downtown Long Beach and decided to stop in. We had a slight mishap, I will not leave along, but will focus more on the solution. Our waiter, whose name I don’t know unfortunately, went to the GM, Marti, without us requesting one, and she came over and quickly rectified the situation. What stood out to me most was that she said we were in her house and she wants us to be happy and comfortable when we visit. She also checked on us in addition to our waiter throughout the night. She changed our experience and because of her, we will be back.“

“Best steam table Chinese I've ever had. The only lady behind the counter was efficient with the line that was in there.
Bbq pork was tender and delicious, grab some hot mustard. The orange chicken is something we don't usually order but was great here, still crunchy. Egg foo young was made fresh to order and surprisingly wonderful, airy and the best use of water chestnuts I've seen. The lady even chopped it up for us with a huge cleaver so it was easier to eat. The fried rice has chunks of bbq pork and egg and the chow mein had chicken and egg. They have both Sriracha and chili oil. It was enough food for two plus leftovers
It's been open for forty years and is inside a cute, kitchy building. Parking lot is tiny and one way, enter from KFC around the corner“

“Chowking (131 W Carson St, Carson, CA 90745) never disappoints! The Beef Wonton Noodles are flavorful and comforting, perfect for satisfying any craving. The Sago’t Gulaman and Naicha Milk Tea are refreshing and perfectly balanced in sweetness. Their Halo-Halo is a must-try — creamy, colorful, and filled with all the classic Filipino ingredients. And the Taho is just like home — warm, soft, and sweetly nostalgic.
Overall, great food, friendly service, and a clean, inviting atmosphere. Definitely a 5-star experience for anyone craving authentic Filipino-Chinese comfort food!“

“First timer. Recently moved to the area and was looking for a nice Chinese food spot. Decided to try and they did not disappoint. The female worker was so accommodating. It was 30 min before closing and they cooked up our food fresh. The orange chicken was on point. Besides the food we also tried the Matcha Green Tea and Thai tea Boba so delish. Will be returning soon. Definitely recommend.“

“I order from No. 1 Chef often via Postmates. Something went wrong this time (not their fault, their computers were down), so my hubby and I took a quick trip to pick up our order. The lady was SOOOO nice and helpful over the phone. With that said, the food here is top notch! When I need comfort food, I get the egg flower soup and dumplings. The soup is ALWAYS hot and fresh and just feels like a hug. I've also ordered the egg fu yun, and trust this place is NOT stingy on the portions. Everything I've had has never disappointed. Yes, it may look like a hole in the wall, but if you want the kind of Chinese food that satisfies, give this place a try.“

“I've been coming here for a few years and the food is always great and the service is always wonderful. They're so helpful and welcoming. It's just a straight up, old school, Chinese restaurant serving up the classics. Portion sizes are pretty big and always tasty. I have not had a bad experience here yet. Nothing bad to say about this place at all.“

“Me and the the fam do laundry across the street so naturally the wife want her Starbucks. Always passed by this place and it just caught my eye. Don’t know why. I took a menu from the spot and kept it in the glove compartment for some time. One day I was coming down from some acid and was hungry like a mofo. Oh before I say anything more I must mention that when I saw the menu I saw they had shrimp fried rice and that is all it took to seal the deal. However, I am VERY SKETCH on my shrimp fried rice. I only get it from one spot and it’s been like that for around 13 years. Anywho. Coming down from that and I said “screw it! Let’s try it” got the shrimp fried rice and the lunch special of orange chicken. The sfr was dank! Wont compare it to the other but honestly I was impressed. My wife said the orange chicken was ok and that the chicken was hard. I tried it I loved the sauce and the fried rice…well I had just tried it so no difference. I told her that I kinda saw that coming from the chicken bc of the big menu that they have so that is the only negative but I will definitely mess with this place again! Oh the service was quick and straight to the point. The way it should be.“

“My wife and I ate here on a whim, and it did not disappoint. We were on a time crunch so we decided to takeout. The three cup chicken and short rib dan mein were big hits in our house. Dumplings were also excellent. We look forward to dining at the restaurant again! Keep up the good work!
Parking: Parking is more than sufficient as it is shared with the shopping plaza.“

“I’m writing this because the manager at the Del Amo location - Eddie went out of his way to accommodate our catering order even though it was on short notice. He really went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs (there were many!) were met. This kind of service is truly exceptional and I’m very grateful to Eddie for making this so easy.“

“Great food great service the man who made my food who I assume was the owner was so nice I've been looking for my favorite dish which is Singapore Mei Fun and I've called every Chinese restaurant in Carson and everyone tells me they don’t make it or they have some fat noodle that they call rice noodles, but this man knew exactly what I wanted and made the best dish that I’ve ever had in my life. This is my new place. I love this place and I love the food and the great service and the great prices. also, it was the first Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to with a Christmas tree, which was cool Thank you and God bless.“

“One of my favorites places when we don’t know what to eat. First time we ate here was probably because another restaurant had a long wait and we randomly tried it out.
Parking can be difficult in this old plaza depending on the hours. Seating usually doesn’t take too long.
One of the best things about this places is the noodles. House made, can be adjusted to your liking. They’re perfectly chewy and have a nice texture to them.
When I first visited, one of my favorites places dishes here was the kung pao chicken. It used to be very unique, fried super crispy before mixed with the carrot, peanuts, peppers, and other bits. On our recent trip, it’s seems like they completely changed the recipe, it’s on the sweet side, no carrots or other veggies and peanuts were just added on top. I lost one of my favorite dish here, would never order the current kung pao chicken again.
Not pictured or ordered since it was a hot day, but one of my favorites is their beef noodle sou. It’s a great comfort dish with excellent flavor and good portions of meat and veggies
All of their dry noodles or cold noodles are delicious as well.
One of their house specialty entrees I really enjoyed and will order again is the spicy spare ribs. Super crispy, good spices. Might be a bit on the oily side, but it’s delicious.
XLB are good, not the best but perfectly fine. Juicy and good flavor.
Cold cuts are good as an appetizer, you can choose however many you want and portions are good.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. I would say they get swamped a bit during busy hours as they handle tables and also take out orders.“

“Great place to stop in for good food. The ladies behind the counter are super nice and friendly. I always get orange chicken and theirs did not disappoint. I’m not a big chow mein fan, but I ate all of it with my 1 item combo. Almost all of the other customers ordered the wings, they looked delicious, but was more that I could eat.“

Soft background music, an incredible selection of dishes, and all of it unlimited: fish, beef, baked mussels, rolls, pastries, a fantastic egg soup, and so much more. “This is our go to Chinese food place for decades now.Im happy to see that they are still trying in this economy and after pandemic like most of the old businesses are closing down they are still trying to serve delicious food and still stay reasonable and affordable.I was here last night with my parents and my kids and im surprised that they are turning into modern ambiance now.they are under construction and by looking at it they are doing good I cant wait to see the final outcome and will definitely be back again.Incase your wondering what I always order from them is there famous salt and pepper pork chop, house special fried rice, house special beef, salt and pepper shrimp head on and the complimentary dessert at the end. we spent 100$ including tip and lots of to go food and for a dinner price i think it still affordable and worth it.“

“I was searching for Chinese fast food and found this place. Conveniently located not far from the airport and the owner was friendly and attentive. I ordered the pork short rib (soy glazed), fried chicken wings (sweet and sour), and curry chicken (very flavorful). Since I got there 30 mins before closure, one third of the entrees were sold out but I’m still pleased with the what I got. I would recommend both curry chicken and chicken wings, the pork ribs are a little bit saltier to my preference.
Would consider coming back and try their rice or noodle next time!“

“Food - pretty good but not great
Service - nice people but minimal service
Ambiance - clean and comfortable
I have been to many Northern Cafes and have been looking forward to this one. I noticed most of the reviews were about dumplings and realized this one is more specialized for dumplings (boiled, pan-fried and steamed XLB varieties.
I was hoping for the noodle specialties like the one in Gardena (which is my favorite in the region, 10 min more drive for me).
We ordered:
- crab dumplings- steamed, XLB style, it was pretty good
- lamb dumplings- pan fried, it was ok, a little oily
- beef noodle soup- it was ok, they only served with thin noodles, we preferred other handmade varieties at the Gardena store
We also ordered the beef rolls to go, it looked exact like the ones shown on the poster, ha ha.
Overall, pretty good if you are hungry dumplings!“

“I normally would get egg Fu young for my mom. Lately they're over cooking and it's hard dry and barely any sauce is put on the fu young. They're rude whenever you call in to complain. To me they're dropping off on the quality of their food cooking since it's more Hispanic cooking your ordered. I'm going back to 103 rd where the food is much better. Instead of telling me to come back and correct my order they were so rude. I'll miss the meat egg rolls but food wise nope! They're about the same. Nothing changes except the quality in the food. I found a better spot down at 103rd St. Food is great“

“My first time here , came based off Google reviews. Absolutely wish we can order everything off the menu but my stomach can't take it all!! I ordered the Cantonese filet mignon stir fry with mushrooms, onions and Thai basil leaves and it was soooo flavorful and tender. My friend ordered the chow mein with chicken and it was soo delicious and I'm not talking about the panda express type chow mein. Can tell that this place really uses quality ingredients. Love the atmosphere. Hope to come back here again with my family to enjoy their dimsum!! I definitely want to try their Boston lobster fish next time!! Please check this restaurant out if you are a local or coming from out of town! It's a must😊“

“After hearing so many locals online talk about this place I had to try it out. I was only ordering for myself but intended on having leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I was suggested to try their special for two for $25.99 which includes 2 fried and/or white rice, 2 entrees, soup and 2 egg rolls (I opted for no soup and 4 egg rolls). The order is made to order so it's not sitting under a heat lamp. Service was great and the cashier/cook was very nice. I had the garlic shrimp and kung pao chicken and the portions are very generous.
Inside is very spacious with plenty of seating.
Next time I'm craving some fresh Chinese food with nice portions at a great price I'll definitely be back since it's down the street from me.
Forgot to mention they don't take cash but they take credit cards and Apple Pay!“

“Panda Bowl is the best chinese food for your dollar. Food is very affordable and delicious. My family has been coming here for years. Kung Pao chicken is my favorite. “Panda Express is one of the most reasonably priced chain restaurants with fabulous nutritious and delicious food. My only issue was that the wok fried shrimp was a little too spicy for me. I note that I really have very little tolerance to hot spicy dishes. I would have liked some warning that the wok fried shrimp had chili in it. Nevertheless, I added some plain rice to my meal when I got home and it was fine. My friend happily eats chili and he loved his meal.“
