“This is now my go-to place for phở. I heard good things about it from my mom, and had to come see if what the other Yelpers were saying were true.Yes, the pho comes out super fast, and the broth is great, no extra seasonings needed.I ordered PHO YOUR WAY with brisket, flank, and ribeye.I love that each person gets their own small and reasonably-sized plate of greens and things.I also think the pho tasted even more refreshing with the spring onions they put on top when it comes out (this is not typical). What I like most about Pho Lab on top of everything else is that the 3 different staffers I interacted with were all so kind and quick to help. And the establishment is super clean.“
“Everyone said it is good, so we thought maybe we should give it a try! Arrived at the last minute, around 8:20ish, still waiting for a few groups of people and then got in. We ordered the oxtail pho and a regular beef pho. Small portions already come with lots of noodles, enough to fill me up. The soup is amazing; I couldn't finish the noodles but cleaned up all the soup. And the oxtail might be the reason why this place is so awarded; it was super tender, soft, and delicious. Especially with the sauce, it elevates it to the next level. The meat melting in my mouth felt like heaven! Will definitely come back again and again if I pass by this area. The price is also cheap considering the level of tasty food, the only thing to keep in mind is this place is cash only. While check out, I tried to leave a tip, but the mama handed me the exact change for our meal instead. I insisted, leaving the tip again. It was a bit awkward, but hey, the food's worth it!“
“This is truly a gem of a hole in the wall!! Almost literally, and I say that with respect and appreciation. This cute little eatery is easy to miss, being tucked in a very small strip mall (if it even qualifies as that!) between a small pharmacy and a laundromat, just south of the Arco on the corner of PCH and Pacific. But once you have eaten here, boy oh boy is it hard to forget!I come here about once every other week when I'm on a regular work schedule. Became hooked immediately with their unique bahn mi sandwiches and their pate chaud. Now I'm completely obsessed with their plant-based shrimp spring rolls and their grilled pork bun bowl. That bowl is the perfect balance of light and filling, flavorful and refreshing. It is one of my lunch go-to options. And the plant-based shrimp rolls are AMAZING. Obviously I'm not vegan, but this is an item that I enjoy so much despite it all.I have yet to try their pho. Maybe one of these days. They do have seating inside, but no restroom. Also, parking lot is small and shared, so I avoid coming during peak lunch hours, usually after 1 to pick up my food, and I've had no issues.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, flavorful too!Parking: Parking lot is pretty small and shared with a pharmacy, laundromat and discount store.“
“The space is spacious and airy. On weekends, if you go early, it will help users. I really like stir-fried snails with coconut and fried rice with shrimp and crab. The staff is very cute and enthusiastic, I will come back. Reasonable price with the great quality.“
“Fantastic banh mi, I've tried their classic number 1, Dac Biet, and also the pork belly bath mi. Both good, but the Dac Biet is always my favorite. Lee's Sandwhich was my go-to but this is the first banh mi place I've had that tops Lee's I'm quality at the arpund the same price.“
“Happy place with very fresh and delicious food !! This place apparently has a new owner since last year and I want to congratulate them as they did a very good job! Completely better vibe.We had Pho, Golden Pear Salad and summer Roll allll of them was great and everything I tasted was super fresh !Parking: Parking is easy just in front of the restaurantKid-friendliness: Calm and flat place, yeahs kids can be here :) no play ground here please :)Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp.“
“In general, we had an enjoyable meal at the Pho Nic. The fragrant rice and delicate chicken in the Hainanese chicken rice made for a delightful dinner. The spring rolls were tasty but didn't leave any lasting impression. The kids' pho bowl was decently sized and tasted, but overshadowed by their chicken rice meal. The interior was modern and contemporary, and the service was good. Overall, it is a good option for a tasty meal, particularly if you're craving chicken rice in this location.“
“I so love and appreciate Dan for all the care, heart and soul they put into creating this nurturing restaurant, and adding such goodness to the world.I’ve been coming here for years. Each time I’m greeted with the most sincere smiles and warmth. The food is fresh, delicious and oh so satisfying. One time years ago I got food poisoning. I can’t remember how it came to be that Dan and Si, his brother, learned of this, but they literally made me food to eat for each stage of my healing. Broth, a mash, and other foods, all made to nurture me back to health.I’ll never forget this kindness or the example of his commitment to always providing excellent service and the most wonderful food.I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and wish for it to have great success and longevity!“
“If you are looking for excellent Vietnamese food you can find it at Benley. My wife and I have been here a few times. We came here with another couple a week or two ago. The four of us thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The other couple does not eat Gluten because one of them has Chron's disease. The very friendly waitress at Benley was able to provide safely handled, gluten-free, and reportedly great tasting food to both of them, while not limiting the options of those of us who do eat gluten. I highly recommend this restaurant.Dietary restrictions: Gluten allergy safe, just let them know you need special considerations right when they seat you. Even better, call ahead to let them know.“
“Second visit in a week.Hands down the best pho I have ever had. I believe that they use real bone broth (not the powder), so I can tase the umami, didn’t even have to put any garnish in the pho. Also, the fish sauce fry is a must try, can’t find it elsewhere.“
“A Diamond in the rough for sure. I ordered a pound of shrimp, rice, wonton with duck soup and a drink and it was amazing. The food is reasonably priced even in 2024, the workers who I assumed are the owners are very attentive and offer a nice atmosphere. Anyone can find quality food here.“
“Honestly, it’s hard to find a Vietnamese Vegan restaurant that delivers authentic Vietnamese cuisine. When all others promote fusion restaurant archetypes, Saigon Vegan pushes authentic Vietnamese cuisine and refuses to take shortcuts. If you are looking for a great meal served by wonderful people, I highly recommend this place.“
“Pho 101 offers an exceptional dining experience for lovers of Vietnamese cuisine. From the moment you step in, the ambiance is inviting, with its cozy yet modern decor.Their pho – a delightful blend of savory broth, tender noodles, and fresh herbs, served piping hot with a generous portion of your choice of protein.Accompanying the pho are their delectable egg rolls, crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor on the inside. Each bite is a symphony of taste and texture, leaving you craving for more. The service is prompt and friendly, adding to the overall pleasurable dining experience. Whether you're a pho aficionado or just craving authentic Vietnamese cuisine, Pho 101 is a must-visit destination.“
“I have mixed feelings about this place. While it has been my go to spot on rainy days this past season, it's been a hit or miss. Sometimes it's like the best pho ever and other times the meat is really undercooked and the broth wasn't hot enough to cook it further which resulted in a rather rubbery experience. All in all, I think I will continue to come back as everything else was enjoyable.“
“Uber eats will double stack order for drivers here and take one to apartments where u can be there for half and hour..while other food sits and waits.. never do they ever double stack McDonald's food like this.. all done by a computer then . Unfair to “
“We got the popular food menu items: garlic noodles and the beef stir fry. I really don’t understand the hype at all. The meat was extremely dry and chewy while the garlic noodles didn’t have much flavor. The grilled shrimp is basically in the name itself, there’s not much flavor besides that. Was very disappointing. Although the appetizers saved the day. The wontons and chicken wings were absolutely phenomenal, an explosion of flavors. Did the popular food items deserve the price tag? No, but I’d rather have the appetizers be the entrees.“
“I usually go to pho 79, but I wanted to try a different place and was recommended by a neighbor to try this place and it did not disappoint. The owner is super friendly and made us feel really comfortable. Feels like one of those places where you go and the owner knows you and chats up with you.The pho was amazing. I am extremely picky when it comes to pho and a creature of habit, but this place went above my expectations. The broth is very clear and has a really good taste. Feels so clean and beefy.Their meat is fresh and has a really good taste.I think pho 79 has finally been dethroned as my number 1 pho place.“
“Very impressive!Great broth, great beef. We had the Pho combo and the Wagyu fried rice, both were fantastic! Kids got free noodle with clear broth.Even the Thai tea was so tasty with intense flavor but not too sweet! The service was ? on the cake.Definitely recommend!“
“Food was amazing. Service was excellent. Like any Asian establishment.... its plain simple and quick. Sit down....order...eat....leave. plenty of parking and friendly staff. Definitely recommend it to everyone. Their bread was also fresh and out of this world.“
“BANH TET REVIEW--wow, their banh tet ($36) is nothing like I've ever seen before. It's packed with meat, both lean and fatty. The sweet rice is soft with just the perfect amount of green bean. Unlike other places that are packed with green bean and just 1 strip of meat with hard rice. Bought 1 yesterday and already almost finished it all by myself! Also tried their Cha Chien (fried pork loaf $9) and Dua mon (dried radish pickles). It was the perfect pairing since it gives the dish a crunchy texture. Will definitely be coming back to get more“
“Every Once in a While the Best Surprise is One You Never Saw Coming! The Bowl & Plate Eatery is Exactly That!!! Driving south on Magnolia Street in Anaheim Sunday, Feb. 25 around 6pm. Just before I reached Ball Road, I remembered there used to be a 'hole-in-the-wall' Italian restaurant tucked into the northeast corner of a little strip mall there. It's been a while so I wasn't sure what I'd find but I made the left turn into the parking lot to explore. No more Italian restaurant (sigh). But in its place I see a quaint looking sign proclaiming the new establishment's name: The Bowl & Plate Eatery. Some quick Internet searching gave sufficient details to convince me to enter...that and my growling stomach! A tasteful and minimalist small dining area offered seating for perhaps 15 guests. Upon my arrival this particular Sunday evening, I was one of three. The owner gestured for me to take a seat, brought over a menu and offered a smile so warm and bright I knew she loved what she was creating here. Seriously, her exuberance was evident in abundance. I'm now even more convinced I made the right choice for this evening's dinner. I won't list the whole menu but I will speak of my selections: - Chicken Vegetable Dumplings - Steak Salad - Choco Roti with Ice Cream Everything is infused with blended Asian flavors. The dumplings were perfectly seared on the bottom, offering a nice crispy-crunch with every bite. Their dipping sauce added just the right amount of 'Zip!' without being overpowering. The steak salad was heaping with fresh leafy greens of several varieties and the steak bites were perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned. The Choco Roti with ice cream was a last minute addition and WOW! am I glad I did. Small wedges of delicately toasted flat bread, drizzled with sweet icings and a touch of cinnamon, served with a healthy scoop of vanilla ice cream, also drizzled with icing. A great combination of sweetness and savory to end a fantastic meal. Mind you, The Bowl & Plate Eatery is not staffed by a team of experts, cranking out cookie-cutter meals-o-plenty. No No! It was staffed by the owner of that amazing smile, who also happens to own the restaurant. She handled it all, from greeting and seating, to explaining, order taking, meal preparing and serving. She's even her own busboy! And all of it in a timely, orderly manner. No rushing nor resting. A model of efficiency and a skilled chef t'boot. No need to ask if I will return. I will have to add this to my monthly restaurant sojourn list. The owner said she's been there for 3 years now and I fault myself for not discovering The Bowl & Plate sooner. And please note, this is not the steam-table Asian food take-out style place. This is well-crafted dishes prepared with passion and heaped with love of craft. Yes, you'll pay a bit more for this but with every bite you'll know it is So, SO Worth It! I'm hopeful The Bowl & Plate is well-visited to keep it in business. This level of original and fresh is rare indeed. I'll keep doing my part! Now it's your turn! Get to The Bowl & Plate for lunch or dinner today!“
“So so good!! Make a reservation!!! Service was great, restaurant is large with lots of windows. Unique Viet fusion dishes. We wanted to try so much more!! The coffee and non alcoholic drinks were good, but not amazing. But the food is a different story!! Would come back to try the rest of the menu!“
“This place is not bad, the restaurant was empty at 7pm Friday evening, not sure if this is a good sign but I like places that are quiet to eat in. Food came out within Mims, it was tasty yet not too overbearing with sauces. The durian smoothie though was not real fruit and too much dairy cream, only bad thing is when it rains, the restroom is behind the kitchen "outside" in the rear. I haven't tried their pho so I am sorry, too many pho restaurants in orange county. Try this place, it is casual dining and not much of a wait.“
“My girlfriend and I found this place by chance and I am SO glad we did! The food was absolutely amazing! The owner came out to our table and talked to us. He's such a friendly guy. The chef came out and talked to us for a bit too. We had to wait for our table for a few minutes when we 1st got there, but I definitely know why. This place is small, but consistently steady with business. I HIGHLY recommend this place and we will definitely be back again!“
“One of the best Bah Mi I have ever had! Came a few months ago and have been dying to come back. The taste and flavor is so good I think about it all the time. The service is amazing, too. The man who runs the store is very kind and gave us extra goodies like waffles, little bananas and free Jasmine ice tea. Absolute bang for your buck. Only downside is it is not a sit down restaurant.“
“First of hopefully many trips- ordered take out... The staff were friendly and prompt with getting my order. The raw living curry rice was Amazing! Got the pepper shrimp just to try something different- i was surprised at how much I liked it!Dietary restrictions: Vegan“
“Very quick service and great tasting pho I got the beef and mom got the chicken. Both of us were satisfied with the overall experience. Would recommend this place to people who like pho with no msg. More authentic than places I've been since covid “
“4.5/5 starsCame here as part of an Instagram collaboration. My favorite items were the Vietnamese steak and eggs (super tender meat and flavorful sauce) and the Cajun seafood platter (tender crawfish, shrimp, clams, and mussels). The $4 extra for live/fresh seafood is totally worth it. The seafood platter comes with delicious bread, which was perfect when dipped in the sauce! The crispy calamari was delicious (batter wasn’t too thick). The hot stone pho was average. I personally didn’t notice a significant difference between pho in a hot stone bowl vs regular pho. My bf loved the garlic noodles, but I thought it needed more flavor. All the items we got I would probably give 5/5 stars except for the pho and the garlic noodles, which I would give 3/5 stars“
“Been here a few times and honestly, for the price, it's a great place to go to when you're craving pho. We usually get the beef steak for $8.89 or the chicken bowl for $7.87, which is honestly a steal in this economy! Bowl upgrades are only $3 more, which I say is totally worth it. The pho tastes so clean and with a deep flavor. Personally, I think the pho is very worth it for it's price; I can't get enough of it. In addition, the service is phenomenal. The guy in the front is always so welcoming and talkative when we come visit - we really enjoy it. Definitely visit this hidden gem when you're in the Cypress area - you won't regret it (:“
“It's difficult to find good vegan and gluten food so when there are options, I'm curious to taste and see if it is any good. I had the beef brócoli substitute the beef for ham and it was good, I enjoyed it. My husband had the shaking beef and he liked it too, he wished it had more of the marinade/sauce. Great customer service!“
“Not sure what Mr.BuffettSoCal was talking about. seems like he just likes to write creatively. I did not experience any of whatever amusement park he was talking about. I came here yesterday and bought the 12 piece tray. I selected a variety of cakes and a couple jellos. i must say all of it is so so tasty. the store inside is small and humble, family owned. Appeared clean and service was so kind and helpful. she showed me the different sizes and little cakes i could order. all of which was packed nicely. steamed cakes came with coconut sauce and sesame seeds. I will definitely be back here to this little gem.“
“This place is great. Love their eggrolls. And when I walk in, they start getting my order ready without me saying a word. And they even know that I like the fresh soy sauce instead of the pre-packaged one. They are super friendly, and the food Egg Roll are always fresh and delicious. And it is always busy but you never have to wait too long. Ambiance is good for a takeout spot, but they have a few chairs in case you need to sit down.“
“Amazing and comforting place! I will always recommend this place when eating with friends, family, significant others, etc. Food is delicious, fresh, and good portion sizes for the prices. The complimentary dessert is delicious and warm as well. The staff is also very polite and welcoming. I also appreciate how delicious the food can be to go. Most places have their to go food not as good quality but I can taste the quality the same when dining in and when I bring it home. Give it a try!“
“Got their vermicelli noodle, and it tasted good. Lots of grilled pork came with it. Their fried chicken was crispy. I went on a weekday night and the restaurant was pretty busy, and it took >30 minutes before the food came out. Price of the food is very reasonable.“
“I came to Disneyland for the first time and was a bit saddened by the lack of Asian food in downtown Disney. I’m so glad I found Asia foodie kitchen with a simple Google search - walked over from fantasy tower (took less than 20 minutes in a nice area). The house special pho was fantastic and the person who served me was very nice! I would definitely come here when I visit Disneyland again :)“
“It’s Anaheim and this place is a hidden gem. Food is authentic. Portion is huge for nowadays. So far, we tried Pho, chicken fish sauce, bún chả Hanoi, shaken Salmon with garlic noodle, bun thit nuong, spring rolls. I like the fish sauce chicken so much I have to it every time I come here. Wells, it’s my second time :) but this place will be my home place when I am craving for Vietnamese food.Kid-friendliness: The owner is so nice offered my son a little bowl of pho soup no charge :)“
“My family loves this place. They are friendly with great food. The filet mignon pho is Favorite. The shrimp, and chicken pho are good as well. I recommend their fresh made turmeric noodle. My family likes their other fresh made white noodle. Do not forget their pork, chicken, or shrimp sliders, you will not regret going here.“
“Great food, banh cuon and soupy bun bowls! It is SMALL inside, which is fine if people who dine are considerate of the business, to come eat and leave... When I was last there to purchase a TOGO, there was big table of 12 ALL DONE eating, just sitting there chatting and wasting time and restaurant space.. in the meantime, staff would walk back and forth asking if they needed anything, do they need the check, etc. there was a long list of people waiting too. I waited 30mins for my TOGO, they were still there when I left, people were clueless!!! Restaurant needs to be able to say something, but didn't... LOL I'll get Togo but won't wait.“
“I would call this a hole in the wall, was hesitant to eat here at first but so glad we did. The staff were friendly. We've been driving around to different restaurants and wish we found this place the first day. I'm not so big on sweet potatoes but the sweet potato shrimp tempura reminded me of when my grandma used to make it, it was delicious. The portion size was good for what we paid for. Simple menu, the banh cuon was better than what you find in Houston.“
“Came here on a whim on Saturday night, so glad it was not crowded and we were seated immediately. They have pictures of plates they serve on tv screens so it's very nice to see what you may be ordering. We ordered egg, filet mignon and meatball on a sizzling plate with baguette and a bo luc lac with garlic noodle and it was delicious! Very affordable prices. Fresh made and not too sweet drinks too, I recommend the penny worth and mung bean drink! Nice Vietnamese traditional restaurant vibes.“
“Love this place! The best egg rolls I've ever had, and such a great deal. I will be back here many many times to come. Don't forget to ask for the sauce, yum!! Thank you! ?❤️Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian egg rollsParking: Parking is in back of the building“
“We were out late and needed a quick dinner. Decided to come for Pho at 10pm and we were not disappointed. The food arrived quickly, portion was good and it was delicious! Really hit the spot. The meat in the pho was tender and wished there was more of it. Service was efficient and warm. Will return if in the area.“
“The food is pretty good, not the best pho though. Love that they have a Mongolian BBQ here. The service is good. The prices were ok. Maybe the portion of pho was a bit small although I haven't had pho in about a year so maybe it's changed everywhere.“
“What a great find in the most unexpected place. The food was fresh and the service lovely. The prices were reasonable and portion sizes good. They even customized a dish and offered a free sample of their Apple tea. I love supporting small businesses and this one is women owned which is fab. Will be visiting again.“
“I live in las vegas. Phoholic is my favorite pho restaurant anywhere outside of Vietnam ??. Everything is fresh , broth is full of flavor. Sometimes when you come early they have "thit obama" . It's like a minced filet mignon "secret menu" sooo good, melts in your mouth.“
“While visiting Disneyland, I searched for and visited a Vietnamese restaurant.Located next to a shopping mall with Korean restaurants, about 20 minutes away by car.Parking is convenient and very friendly. The food prices are reasonable and above all, the portions are very large.I ordered large and had a lot left over, but ordering regular would still be enough.I recommend the rib rice noodles.Be careful because mix includes crucibles and parts. The taste of the rice noodles is pretty good, but the sweetness is quite strong, perhaps because of the American style. It would be nice to eat it once in a while when you get tired of American food. You can choose between thin and thick noodles.“
“For some odd reason every time I’m in Long Beach, I tend to search for a Cambodian spot. 1. Its very uncommon anywhere else in L.A 2. Always down to try new food from different cultures! Cambodian cuisine offers a melting pot of Thai, Lao, Chinese, Vietnamese and Indian spices clearly, through the agricultural and spice trade. This is probably the fourth Cambodian restaurant I’ve visited in Long Beach. The vibe and décor are very cultural and cute. It’s a small restaurant with 3 booths, 8 top in the middle and 12 top on the other side. The service was very friendly, the walk to the restroom was interesting because I got to see the kitchen which was filled with aunties and uncles, seemed like a family business for sure!Come during lunch because the specials are worth it!Ordered#17 Khmer BBQ Pork with rice 5/5 – BBQ had a nice glaze to it, paired well with pickled veggies and spicy sauce#24 Mint Leaf Chicken with rice 5/5 – Similar to Thai basil chicken but instead they used mint and even topped it with an egg!#27 Student Noodle 5/5 -Enjoyed how these were served with thin noodles, the flavor was delish (similar to pad thai)The parking lot is small, I was lucky to have found a spot! Give them a try!“
“Casual dining for pho and crawfish, I only had time for lunch so pho it is. It was bland, no flavor yet the meat is great with their customer service on point, ask and you shall receive, it was an good foe the location and the price is a little high but now a days, it's like that everywhere.“
“I got the level 7 K#1 soup, which wasn't too spicy. For a spicy meal I would ask for a higher number. I also got a Thai tea that was very refreshing and not too sweet, and a vietnamese coffee with coconut milk that was very rich in coffee flavor and sweet. My father ordered the level 7 ramen stir fried and said it was very good, not very spicy. We shared a level 7 and a level 10 BBQ wing. The 7 was barely spicy but very good, 10 had an oil on it that coats your mouth and was quite spicy, but the heat went away within 15mins. All the food was delicious!“
“I love the food here and come about once per week. The place isn't fancy and the service can be super good one day and not so good the next. Sometimes they leave the front doors open when it is cold outside. My favorites are the vermicelli with bbq pork or the BBQ pork banh mi sandwich. My wife likes the stir fried Ramen and their rice dishes. Not a fan of their egg rolls.“
