“Family favorite. Quiet, plenty of parking, excellent, delicious, fresh & pretty food. Sauces are wonderful. We love the ahi appetizers. Kids like being able to choose their sides and sauces. The fish and chips is super crispy and delicious. The grilled fish with the butter sauce is perfect. Testarossa chardonnay is buttery and wonderful. Staff are charming and friendly, service is quick but not rushed.“
“We visited Steamer's Grill House on a rainy day. After we were seated, our server Bill greeted us with a genuine smile and engaging conversation, instantly making us feel welcome. We settled on indulging in the Clam Chowder, Grilled Scallop, and Seafood Linguini. The Clam Chowder arrived steaming hot, tantalizing our taste buds with its rich, flavorful broth. It was a perfect start to our culinary adventure. Next, we savored the Grilled Scallop, which proved to be a true delicacy. The scallop was expertly cooked, tender and juicy with a subtle smoky flavor. But the star of the evening was undeniably the Seafood Linguini. This dish, my personal favorite, was an absolute masterpiece with an assortment of delectable seafood, perfectly cooked to achieve a harmonious blend of flavors. The combination of exceptional food and impeccable service made our experience truly unforgettable. Don't miss out— give Steamer's Grill House a try!“
“Wow I was blown away! The workers are extremely nice. They gave us potatoes and corn on the house because we mis read what the meal comes with. We insisted they add it to our tab but they refused. That enough says a lot. The sauces are Aahhhmazzzingg. Almost like a glaze like sauce. So much flavor. Everything was fresh and tasteful. Recommend 10000 percent !“
“I visited this gem on a Sunday and it was busier than I anticipated so I had to wait. Not a big deal and wasn't a long time. Once inside, I was able to order right away. I Iooove mariscos and had a hard time making a choice because everything looked so delicious. I was torn between a vasiloco and Aguachiles. I ultimately decided on a Super Chavela, Aguachiles Tricolor, and a roll of sushi. I can't remember specifically what sushi roll I got because the star of the show was definitely the aguachiles!! The Chavela was ice cold and so refreshing. It did a great job of relieving the heat from the aguachiles. The aguachiles were so fresh and flavorful. I've honestly been craving more ever since and will be back soon for that vasiloco!!!“
“Food was excellent! From side dishes to sauces, everything tasted fresh and thought out. My only wish is that this place was bigger. We ate family style where we shared all ordered items and there was very little space on the table to accomodate 4 entrés.“
“We are big fans of Home Eat. Takeout here is consistently good as they have their own deli area of take away dishes but you can also dine in. When we dined there, we got the lamb hot pot which was nice to share. The highlights are the fried chicken wings which are so tasty. We haven't had any bad dishes here and they usually have affordable specials per month. They also give some freebie dessert sesame balls which was a nice touch. A solid Chinese place if you're looking for consistently fair priced & good food.“
“I overall love this place. The waiter was very friendly and the service was great. The place is clean and decent. I gave 4 stars for food mainly because I wasn't too happy with my dish, I ordered a Trio Ceviche, and even though it's fresh and tasty, I expected it to be a bit more sour and slightly less salty. It's just my personal taste, I guess. But my friends were very happy with their orders, so I would recommend this place.“
“OMGoodness !!! Inspired chef in this restaurant. Im naking an adventure dinner stop here for celebrating the Resurrection, first time. Thai seasoned prawns from Australian waters, still in the shell. Smoked salmon-stuffed, bite-size, trout roe-topped mini muffins. Chocolate peanut butter layers with black and white sesame seeds! New flavors for a "new creation" day, with gratitude.“
“Don't be fooled by the lack of luster this restaurant has, because the food and service here 5/5. Immediately when we entered we were greeted and directed on how to order. We decided to go with the small clam chowder and three piece fish chips. We assumed the fried fish would be regular sizes. Nope, they were three big hefty thick meaty fillets, stunned! Had I known the size we would have stuck with two pieces. Overall did not regret the decision since we enjoyed the leftovers. Also their tartar sauce is ridiculously good, I dipped my fries in them as well. But the star from my experience is the service of the staff and crew. I genuinely felt so welcomed here, not rushed at all, very accommodating, your employees were friendly to me and every person they interacted with. A fine dining experience serving delicious, hot, crispy fish & chips.“
“Interesting Chinese restaurant. Been there twice. A large selection of dishes - some very tasty, some for everyone. The portions are large (as was noted, many take two dishes for three), the price category is average, the staff is wonderful - friendly and helpful. The restaurant is quite clean. The only thing that didn't please me was the toilet. I wish it was cleaner there. You can take food to go. I was pleased that they thoughtfully provided you with napkins, cutlery, and even fortune cookies.“
“Had clam chowder and fish combo plate. Chowder was great as usual and server accommodated our request to add bacon bits to the soup. Fish (pollack) was flaky and tasty; big slice too.Parking: Street parking in front, lot in back. We were there at 4pm on Monday so plenty of spaces in front.“
“Great atmosphere for a date night! We ordered the salmon tartare, rose tteokbokki, and kfc cauliflower for appetizers. All of them were great but I was most impressed by the tteokbokki! We followed with the short ribs and the basque cheesecake dessert. They were good but the appetizers were more impressive. I was also disappointed that they no longer did the sweet potato chiffon cake :(“
“We have been to Burma Choice several times and enjoyed the experience. There are not many Burmese restaurants in the area. So, the vibe, the decorations, and the flavors of the dishes feel different. On our most recent visit, Black Pepper Lamb was cooked just right, tender and juicy. Burma Choice Noodle (vegetarian) was flavorful. The only downside was that all the dishes were salty. And that is the reason why we don't visit this place very often. The staff were friendly but not striving for better service. Despite listing carrots, the Black Pepper Lamb came without them. When my husband asked about this, the response was a shrug and 'I don't know what the chef did.'There are many unique meat and vegetarian dishes. Be sure to order rice separately because it doesn't come with the dishes.“
“Maggiano's has become our family's Easter lunch location. Lots of food, fun and excitement for everyone. The family style dining allows everyone to enjoy the family time without the cleaning and cooking. The salmon is fantastic and a must try.“
“Delicious This is the best Cajun seafood In the country , All their menu is amazing and they just cook it perfectly. We come with the kids at least two times per month.their micheladas give them extra points. It is so great that we have waited a couple of times over 1 hour to get seated.Kid-friendliness: Menue for the non spicy eaters“
“First, no parking, second, most seating is in a covered outdoor area, 10' from the traffic on Monterey Road. 4 Stars ? In truth, I simply had the plate of fish tacos. Service was good and the Tacos, excellent. Each bite a mouth full of pleasure. I did bring home an order of fruit and shrimp which I'm still too full to face. Chips and salsa ? strange to me. Chips - Not ! 'A' store bought corn tostada - the kind in the store on the shelf in a box next o the box of pre-cooked and formed taco shells. served with a cup of warm broth. Again, strange to me. Not something I would walk across the street for. ( not worth the effort ) - The Taco on the other hand is worth special trip for. I look forward to returning to explore their huge variety of fish and seafood options. They do sell the normal variety of taqueria tacos.“
“I go here once a week after work. I just picked up some fish and shrimp about 20 minutes ago. Im happy to say it was smacking!!!! Finally someone is not afraid to season their food!!! Im glad I still have some fries left. Im knocking those out after my nap! 5 stars!!!!“
“I'm a SJ native and this is THE SPOT. You will not be disappointed with any plate you choose. From the moment you want in, you always greeted. The service staff is on top of it. The food is bombbbbb!! They have special from Monday-Friday. I'm here at least 2-4 times a week. From seafood to meat and the best drinks! BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN TOWN .“
“Casual hawaiian eatery located in the Maplewood Plaza. Bright space with wooden chairs and tables inside, and a few tables outside too. Employee took my order at the front counter (standard service), though there's a self-order kiosk as well. Order was ready in 5-10 minutes, no other customers at the time. Got the mini loco moco, and the meat, gravy, mac salad, everything was flavorful and satisfying... the mini size was sufficient for a filling meal. Based on taste, I'd say this would be one of my top 2 hawaiian spots in the south bay.“
“Clean, festive, and incredibly delicious! I tried the calimari the first time, a quick stop, and was impressed with the clean, lovely restaurant, the service, and the incredibly perfect appetizer. With a little more time today, I decided to try the dine-in experience... even better! The chips and delicious house salsa are accompanied by a generous portion of lime... trust me, a few drops of lime unified and elevated this simple appetizer. Care was obviously taken when choosing this combination, and the chips were hearty and flavorful; possibly stone-ground? The shrimp are fresh, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with decadent flavor. Add the excellent produce and incredible sauce and you have a can't miss experience... the lowly shrimp is elevated to VIP status here, carefully prepared and paired with incredible fresh produce carefully prepared. Hands down the best tacos camerones I have ever had. Run, don't walk, to try this cozy, beloved restaurant just off Saratoga. You will thank me, I promise you!“
“This place is cozy and very cute! They have a nice happy hour with delicious drinks. They may be a bit understaffed but they have nice service (just takes a while). I liked the drink and food options during happy hour. Seems like a fun place to get wine and live music as well.“
“Fish and chips have to be one of my favorite foods. if it's on the menu, then I'm definitely going to get it. I've tried fish and chips variations all over the country, but it's always nice to have a local spot. The menu has a lot of options and it was so hard just to choose one thing. The staff were super friendly and patient as I was deciding what to get. There are tables inside and outside of the store, we opted to sit outside. I love the size of the fish and chips, always a great place when the quantity of food is very filling. I really enjoyed the French fries and the fried zucchini. There was so much food that I had leftovers for the next day and it was still great.“
“My wife Irene Borz and I stopped for a quick lunch on Sunday and were pleasantly surprised by the fast and attentive service, great tasty food, long list of favorite dishes.Vegetable eggroll was hot, golden and crispy, neither soggy nor burnt. The sauce had perfect balance of sweet and sour.Hot and sour soup was delicious! Be ready to order a large bowl to share, they do not serve individual cups. Mongolian beef was not what we were used to but still very tasty. Perfectly cooked General Tso's shrimps. The portions were large, we had to take almost a half of them to go.Suggestions for improvements. Get rid of annoying hip-hop music, play something calm and sophisticated, or opposite - really energetic like "Bond on Bond", or "Rasputin" by Boney M., or even Rolling Stones. A small vase with a flower on the table can significantly improve the entire feeling.“
“Nice restaurant. The menu has all the typical dishes and more. We just tried a few things on their menu, and everything was good. The wontons in the wor wonton soup was really good. There are lots of veggies in it which I like. We also had the pan-fried pork buns. Crispy bottom. The filling was just ground pork, which was good. We just ordered a couple of vegetable items. Dry string beans and eggplant in garlic sauce. Both were great. The portion size was large, which I appreciate. Lots to take home. I will be going back.“
“Our go-to Vietnamese restaurant and fave in the area by far. Even with several diet changes through the years, Khanh's has never ceased to please. Despite an occasional wait to be seated, once the food is served steamy and hot, the day's troubles seem to melt away. Most of the time we order the beef soup, which can be served with meatballs (kids' pref) or brisket (yum)! The asparagus soup is delish as well, but know it contains chicken and imitation crab (so white fish), therefore not entirely vegetarian. Fried or sauteed tofu is great as a vegetarian option, as a side dish or on its own. We'll definitely be back whenever in town and craving Khanh's when not.“
“Excellent food, super friendly, the food is enjoyed. Waiting time if it is somewhat late; The music is very loud, if you are with someone you have to speak a little loudly. The desserts are the Flanes and choco flan 10/10 there is always room for a good dessert!!!!“
“Always amazing food and great vibe. My favorite oyster bar on the West Coast. They recently expanded the wine selection, which is awesome. One member of my family is a vegetarian and her options were limited to just salad or sides (they were out of the pasta). So some work is needed on expanding vegetarian options. Would be a perfect score and I love this place, but this time the 2nd round of drinks and bread took forever to get to the table. That oyster bake is very rich and without an accompanying libation just doesn't reach its full potential.“
“This was a second chance for this cute little restaurant. I was craving a chili relleno and because the size varies from restaurant to restaurant- I asked for two. Holy Moly! These were huge AND delicious. Everything about the meal was great. The chips are house made and the salsa is just perfect - not too spicy and plenty of flavor. The beans- just like grandma made them! Arroz was a little 'wet' for me - I like my rice a little more dry but it did have a good flavor. The star of the show was the relleno of course. The batter, the cheese, the chili - so so good!!Well done!!“
“There has been nothing in the menu we do not like. The best appetizer is the roti with chicken curry. The Curry is a non spicy coconut milk curry. The best salad is the green tea salad. It has a slight kick even if you drop the jalapeños. The best soup is the samosa soup. For entries there are lots of good options, but I like the fiery dishes. They are sweet and spicy.Think of Burmese food as Indian, Thai, and Chinese fusion. If you like any of those cuisines you can find something you would enjoy on the menu.“
“Love that they have mexican music as u eatLove their salsa their jalepenos in vinegar with carrots and cabbage! Love their flan not overly sweet. Love their homemade corn tortillas. Love their shrimp fajitas, love the fact that they work with you . Their chicken mole is good too.Always bustling I n that little place. Good Molcajetes!Wheelchair accessibility: They have a table specified for wheelchair accessibility.“
“Goodtime bar is all the things an establishment should be. Knowledgeable staff, amazing selection and everything is served with a real sense of pride and love. The small bites and charcuterie is next level perfection, the owner and staff love what they do and greet you with a smile.“
“Came for lunch with a group. Was pleasantly in uniquely surprised for what this place has in store. When you approach the entrance it seems lackluster until you walk through the alley and it opens up into a full-on restaurant and bar. The owner's concept and design is a bit mesmerizing and makes it feel like an oasis in an urban setting. Plenty of items to pick from on the menu, it was taco Tuesday so I had to get one taco of each meat and wash it down with an agua fresca. This is a restaurant you do not want to miss out on in San Jose, great meat, great service, amicable staff. Parking can be a little rough to find but definitely worth it.“
“We came to the area wanting to try out Dan Izakaya, but there was a long wait. We walked by this hidden gem and saw the food pictures looked delicious, so we decided to dine-in. There was not a lot of people sitting inside, but there were a lot of people getting take out. We ordered pork soup dumplings, Nanjing salted chicken, mixed fried rice and green onion pancake. It was a lot of carbs and filled us up since we were starving. The nanjing salted chicken was the highlight. There's maybe not a lot of places that do it this well. It is a lukewarm style dish and the flavor of the salt on the tender duck was delicious. The dough from the green onion pancake and XLB had a nice chewy texture, very homestyle-like. I would pass on the fried rice next time. This is a family run restaurant and very cozy vibe. It was inexpensive for the Bay Area and we just spent around $50 for the meal. Would definitely come back and try their other dishes. They have talented chefs and it is a good spot to go to or have take out, to enjoy something similar to a home-cooked meal.“
“Great tasting tacos, enchiladas, burritos - and excellent value. Pastor, carne asada, camarones, tripas-yes, yes, yes, yes! Good, fast, friendly service. Parking can be tricky at Chevron, so park at McD's. They're only open until 5pm, so get your taco fix early.“
“My wife and I enjoy eating at fish's wild for few years now. We live at the Markham apartments and really say that it's been one of the biggest perks of living there is the proximity to the restaurant. The restaurant itself is not fancy and customer service is definitely above average but nothing too wow factor. But the food is really outstanding and the portion sizes last a while. I get the chicken katsu there which is a mountain of fried chicken cutlets and the sauce is great. The also always prepare my food in under 10 minutes and I would sometimes call and walk there (4 minute walk) and when I arrive the food is ready. The price is good relative to the portion and not to mention that you get two large sides for all the plate entres. My wife raves on their baramudi fish and gets it weekly. I highly encourage people that want tasty food for a good price and timely service.“
“Nice menu focused on seafood, with a large choice of starters, pasta, panned fish, tacos, lobsters, shrimps, etc. Everything was good (nothing fantastic either), including the desserts. Excellent service. Spacious and comfortable room inside, a few tables outside in the center of Saratoga.“
“I went to this restaurant Saturday night around 6pm without reservations. It was full even bar counter. Recommend to book on weekend. I really liked the sausage! Beef tongue was tender! Shrimp flitters taste very shrimpy so it was ok for me. All dish has a lot of flavor and everything is good with wines!“
“My family favorite spot for sushi. As a Brazilian we loved deep fried rolls and here you can find the best ones. The special rolls are delicious.Shut outTo garlic roll, San Jose, koya roll. The chef always make rice bowls to my daughter and she loves it“
“I came here with my brother. I ordered the crawfish and got the spice level at medium. The flavors are what you'd expect from these places and I couldn't tell of the crawfish was frozen or not but I would've guessed it wasn't because the meat didn't stick to the shell. I was pleasantly surprised.“
“I worked in San Jose, Ca. And we were going to eat at "ORALE BAJA" which is located on Winchester Blvd. Their green chile burritos were delicious, with gringo and Latin clientele,,, but I had to tell the manager and please wash its two access doors because the frame to open was black with grime that was disgusting, on the second day it was already clean. There are things that fail many Latin businesses in the USA, CLEANLINESS in bathrooms, doors and tables. They would have more clients if they paid more attention to those details. Not all of them are bad, in GILROY, Ca, there is the "SUPER TAQUERIA" on the Monterey hwy. EVERYTHING PERFECT, FOOD, their roast beef or green chile burritos are a delight,,,CLEANLINESS AND SERVICE EXCELLENT LOCAL.Parking: There is enough space.“
“Ordered Thai ice tea, yellow curry and pad kee mau and both were absolutely delicious. This is my 8th or more time coming here and this place beats the best Thai restaurants in the Bay Area. Family owned business and they keep the food bar high. Highly recommended!“
“Food was soo good and comforting. We got the old pot sauerkraut fish soup and coconut lava balls. Both were super yummy and fulfilling and a really good portion size. I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised by the coconut lava balls - crispy on the outside and warm and lightly sweet on the inside side, with tapioca in the filling as well. It was really well balanced so it didn't feel heavy even though it was lightly fried. Will definitely be one of my go to desserts. Service was efficient and friendly. But don't expect anything too attentive as it gets pretty busy and they have a lot of customers to serve. Ambiance was a bustling, family-friendly environment. You can tell that they get a lot of regulars and people come here to eat good food. A bit of a hidden gem. Parking - there is a small parking lot but it can get filled up pretty quickly. I circled around and was lucky enough to catch someone leaving and take their spot, but can be a bit of a struggle.“
“Great Taiwanese dim sum location, very delicious.Beef noodle soup ? - the handmade noodles were bouncy (in a good way) and the meat was tender. I liked the bits of tendon on the end.The XLB (A1 and A13) were great.Fairly large seating area, a variety of table sizes. I prefer the tables since the booths didn't look very comfortable. It was like sitting against the wall at 90 degrees (tho not everyone leans back).“
“Although there were no tables available when my party arrived around 6:45pm on a Sunday evening, they told us we could start getting our food in the meantime. Pretty cramped store. Not as many ingredients as I would've liked to see. Sauce bar was also very limited. I went with the beef bone broth base (mild spicy) with ingredients like udon, quail eggs, veggies, beef, etc. Beef was pretty good! I'm usually not the biggest mala fan but the mild spicy broth was pretty good. My parents thought the medium spicy beef bone broth was a good spice level, but too salty. They liked my mild spicy one better. Food comes out pretty quickly after you get it weighed and hand the bowl over to them to get it cooked. The food came out piping hot! Overall good option if you want a fun experience of building your own bowl. So if you're craving hot soup and want a fairly quick meal (assuming no wait), then this might be a good spot for you!“
“Ordered fried fish. Fast service. My fish took time but it was well seasoned with salad and rice. I usually pay more for less quality at other restaurants.Be back soon thank you.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu chicken nuggets and fries and fish“
“Happy Lamb hot pot always hits the spot on a cold day. There is usually a wait (as with most hot pot restaurants) but they now use the Yelp waitlist function, which really helps for large groups. We always go for the split pot with half original soup base and half spicy- the spicy is that "ma la" type of spice that is a bit numbing. I do wish that the peppers in the spicy broth were put in a tea bag of some sort- I always inevitably scoop some into my bowl on accident. For add-ins, the mixed mushroom combo platter and the vegetable combo platter will give you a good variety of items. Also highly recommend the thinly sliced marbled lamb and ribeye meats. Their house made meatballs or fish balls are both delicious!“
“Every time I come to this place and every time I forget to write a review). The restaurant is very clean, the staff is kind and courteous, the portions are large, the food is quite tasty, the price category is above average. I am attaching the menu and photos of the dishes.“
“Service was great, very attentive and quick. The people were very nice. It was very causal and felt very family oriented. The food was good, but not quite my cup of tea. The hot pot we ate had great selection and variety , seafood was good. However I prefer my soup to be more salty and sour, not as sweet . My friends all loved it, just not my preference“
“It is the staff at Pacific Catch Cupertino that really makes dining there such a treat. It's like having drinks and dinner at a Friend's house only they cook you whatever you want. Galinda continues to be the most wonderful person. Oh yeah, great drinks, great food and if you are not doing the rewards program you are crazy!“
“The Epernay French bistro a wonderful little restaurant situated in downtown Los Gatos. Very good ambience great service . For my entry I order bouillabaisse a wonderful, very tasty fish soup.My wife ordered the Patrol sole fish. Also very flavorful. With that we had a beats salad .Very beautiful experience“
