“Great food, clean place and friendly staff. Vermicelli/salad with spicy pork belly was delicious. Portions are decent. (I couldn't even eat shrimp rolls, had to take it for later).
Would definitely get back again if I'm in the area. ❤️“

“Easily our favourite restaurant in San Francisco! We always bring our family and friends here. They have the most delicious, fresh and innovative dishes here. And their service is great! We love the pork chop, Cornish hen, and lamb roti. We love everything on the menu really. Highly recommend!“

“The food was a great mix of Latin and Cantonese flavors. It brought back many childhood memories of Chinese food in Northern Mexico while growing up. The owner was extremely warm and welcoming in sharing her cuisine that is from her home and heart.“

They will cater to your dietary needs and assist you anyway they can.
I’ll leave in the area for a month and over half of my lunches have been eaten here
My entire crew loves their food as well“

“The food here is absolutely delicious - beautifully presented, fresh, interesting. The sushi burritos are great - but the rolls are really special, particularly the Toro Roll. And the beef potsticker are excellent! So thrilled to have this gem in the neighborhood.“

“Our party of 4 pre-ordered a whole Peking duck. It did not disappoint. It was moist and tender. Not greasy as some I have had. It is served with crepes instead of the usual buns. We ate every piece! The miso sea bass was so moist and buttery! We totally agreed it was the best we've ever had! The garlic pea sprouts were cooked just right. For dessert we had the almond jello bunnies. So cute! Could have had more almond flavor but we all finished it anyways! Our server was pleasant and fun. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. Wish I could remember her name. Would definitely eat here again! Note: they have an 8% surcharge for employee whatever. Typical of SF restaurants.“

“Lunch at Julie's has become a ritual now. I am there at least 1-2 times per week. What a great selection of food that you can have fairly quickly. Got addicted to the Japache noodles from here. I think about them in weekend and then Monday afternoon here I am with a plate full of them.“

“Best fast casual Japanese food in the city! Ever since visiting Japan at the beginning of last year, I haven’t been able to find any casual Japanese food I really like in California until this place. I got the custom bowl with eel, imitation crab, and teriyaki tofu for protein and a mixed base of salad and rice. It was super satisfying for dinner on a rainy day, and I felt full but not heavy. The portion size was just right, and the ingredients were fresh and yummy.“

“I just came home from Japantown. The lady that worked there was so nice! I think she is the owner. Service was fast. The food was acceptable. It is on the dollar store side of the mall, so I didn't have to fight the crowd over at the busy side, that is a plus.“

“We dined in for a late lunch as a family of three. The yelp waitlist indicated a 10-20 minute wait and we were surprised to receive a text 5 minutes later.
Food came out hot and fresh. We ordered the Juicy Pork Bao, Pork Xiao Long Bao, Zha Jiang House Special Bean Paste with Mince Pork, Boiled Pork and Chive Dumplings and Fried Tofu.
While there is no separate kids menu, our thirteen month old loved his food so much that he stayed in his high chair for the duration of the meal.
Would highly recommend!“

“We came here for the first time to celebrate our anniversary, and I can’t recommend it enough. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and while the menu is on the smaller side, there were more dishes we wanted to try than we could order. The Honey Szechuan Chicken Wings are an absolute must, perfectly triple-fried, coated in a flavorful spice blend, and served with house-made ranch. The other dishes we had were just as fantastic: gravy noodles (our second favorite, so creamy), cheese bread, street corn, and pork neck. Each one was packed with flavor yet distinct from the others. We’ll definitely be back for more dinners as the seasonal items change, and brunch is already on our list. Can’t wait to return!“

“I visited Mashita Galbi Jjim on a Sunday evening around 6 PM with a party of four, and to my surprise, there was no wait—we were seated right away. With only two staff members working the floor, the restaurant still managed a steady rhythm of service. The space itself is inviting, with a high ceiling that makes it feel airy, a clean bathroom (always a plus), and a generally cozy environment that sets the stage for a comfortable meal.
For food, we ordered two dishes: the pork tonkatsu and their signature galbi jjim. The tonkatsu arrived quickly, golden and crispy, delivering the kind of satisfying crunch and savory bite you’d expect from a well-executed cutlet. The galbi jjim, however, was a different story. It took about 30 minutes to reach our table, which seems to be the norm based on observing other tables. While the wait did build anticipation, it also disrupted the pacing of the meal. When it did arrive, the flavors were solid—rich, hearty, and braised with care—but not quite at the level of depth or complexity I’ve had elsewhere. Personally, I still prefer Daeho’s version, which leans more memorable in both flavor and overall experience.
Service was professional and efficient given the limited staff, though not particularly warm or engaging. It felt more functional than personal, but everything we needed was taken care of without issue.
In terms of ambiance, Mashita balances casual comfort with a slightly polished feel, making it a nice spot for a relaxed meal with friends or family.
Value-wise, the restaurant is fairly priced for the quality and portion sizes. While the food is solid and the dining experience smooth overall, I didn’t find it compelling enough to make this my go-to spot for galbi jjim.
Final verdict: 4/5. A reliable option with cozy ambiance and decent execution, but not quite distinctive enough to stand out in a city with strong competition.“

“Delicious Thai food. We were so pleased to find a Thai restaurant where sweet is not a prominent profile in their food. We loved the sour pork, the banana blossom and squid, the eggplant, and the beef jungle curry - they were delicious and had so many little creative touches. The highlight of the meal for me was the smoked young coconut ice cream. So many nostalgic flavors that I have not had outside of Thailand. The Thai smoked candle flavor, the candied water palm fruit, the young rice syrup - just so special. Such a joy to be able to have this in San Francisco. Brought me back to precious moments in Thailand visiting family.“
“I think the location just opened at @SFO International Terminal G and what a delicious, freshly prepared breakfast. We had their Brunch Box with pork, 2 fried eggs, small salad, spicy fish sauce and rice…all for $10.99! With this quality food and great customer service the SFO location will be a success for sure! @SFO @Asian Box“

“Loved this place. Really enjoyed the food and the kindness of the workers. The meal is healthy, affordable, and filling. Most of the time I find that healthy food comes in very small portions and I don’t get full. And most fast food is super unhealthy. I’ll definitely be ordering again!“

“Good experience. Food was well prepared and delicious. We have been to quite a few Michelin star restaurants and one thing that was missing from this experience was that level service. Explaining the dish as it was presented, etc. great food though!“

“I've been to the Miami location and I had a great experience so that is why i recommended this place to go for dinner. Food was good but it took a while for us to get served. First waitress came and disappeared, we had to ask the busser to call a server because nobody was coming after 10 min of waiting. Finally a waiter came, I don't remember his name but he was great! Food was good, specially the Amazonian salmon, delish!! but, as waiter explained, there are 5 kitchens so food is served in different times, we were ok about that but we didn't expect that drinks arrived after the food which was a big no no for us!!“

“I go after school most days before walking home or volleyball games and practice, and I get the guava snow with oreo crumble, and it's really good.
The only thing that keeps me from giving them a 5 is the prices. Don't get me wrong about the inflation issue, but like some of the prices are unreasonable. They should lower it.
Go here if you have the money but the workers are really nice. Just go to Starbucks, it's more reasonable there.“

“Saucy Asian is a flavor-packed gem in San Francisco! The Korean BBQ tacos are next-level, perfectly seasoned and full of bold flavors and the kimchi fried rice is a must-try. The sauces truly live up to the name, adding an amazing kick to every bite. The vibe is fun, the staff is super friendly, and portions are generous. If you’re craving creative, delicious Korean-inspired street food, this is the spot!“

“We had a really fun dinner with a group of e finders from work. Celebrating a new class of interns. We took over the room upstairs, which fit our group of 20+ easily. Food was great. But the service was the truly remarkable thing. Big effort, big heart. They crushed it. We loved it. Will certainly return.“

“This is my go to place for takeout when im sick or hungry/lazy past 930pm. I always get the kimchi soup with pork belly, seafood pancake, kimchi cold noodle, and more pork belly. Their banchan also includes a crunchy mustard seaweed noodle that is so addicting.
This may be my favorite korean restaurant in the city.“

“So incredibly pleased with our experience at this restaurant. From the service to the food everything was perfect.
We came in when they were only doing take out, which we said we were more than okay to do, but they insisted to set up a table for us.
We got the Thai iced tea, salad rolls, pot stickers, pho, and egg noodle dish. Each was so incredible, and some of the best of the dishes Ive tried. Portion sizes were massive, a great price for what you get.
Our drinks were refilled as soon as they were close to empty, and we were given any sauce we could’ve needed, the service was so quick.
The staff was so friendly would highly recommend, a hidden gem:)“
