“Known for their menu family-style plates to share, Daeho brings quality Korean food to the Bay Area. Make sure to enjoy the food while it’s hot because as it cools it becomes more thick and heavier to eat.
Doh Gal Jjim / braised short rib + ox tendon (~$110 for large with add ons of mozzarella cheese, potato noodles, and rice cakes): shared this between 3 people and was not able to finish it. The presentation was amazing – the staff bring it in a hot stone bowl and blow-torch the cheese in front of you. The meat is extremely tender and juicy due to it being braised. We got the highest spice level and it was perfect – it made an impact but not overbearing to the point where it ruined the meal. The potatoes and caramelized onions were great complements to the beef. The ox cartilage was extremely gooey but I wish they added more.
Spicy Kalbitang ($24 for regular size): flavorful and refreshing soup that would taste amazing on a cold day. Broth was light and great salt levels – never fell flat on flavor.
Kalbi Ttoek-bokki ($13): basically the same sauce and seasoning as the Kalbijjik dishes but a smaller portion to share if you want to try other menu items.
Had to make a Yelp reservation in advanced, and upon arrival to confirm the reservation, had to wait for about 20 minutes. The restaurant is small in size but relies on a quick turnover rate and quick service to host many guests. The staff even pack up the food for you with their own sealed containers. I would go here maybe once or twice a year to celebrate with family or friends but the wait time deters me from coming back more frequently.“

“One of the best place for soft tofu soup. It’s always wonderful to have a bow of hot soup on a cold day.
The place is not too big but can seat a good amount of people due to efficient seating arrangements and ordering system. They take your order before you get your seat so by the time you seat down your food comes out almost at the same time. They always provide a few side dishes as well so it’s great to sample on them before your actual meal.
Their menu includes soft tofu, varieties of meat, and other Korean dishes like bibimbap. Their price is decent but could be on the expensive side if you try some meat dishes. We paid about $54 total for two with two sold tofu bowls.“

“Clean interior with polite employees, no problems whatsoever. I love getting the original fried chicken (the saucy ones are too saucy). The original is fried to a light crisp with subtle spiciness. Best part is the way their cut their bone-in chicken. It makes it super easy to eat.
Update: this time I tried the Soy Garlic wings... it was a 10/10 having the right amount of sauce, crisp, and lots of garlic flavor like I prefer. Great with beer.“

“Absolutely fabulous. The Kimchi Che gae, Doin Jang Chin Gae, Dumpling soup, Kimchi jeongal, Yuk Ghe jang, potstickers, flaming fondue chicken, wings, spicy chicken… I could go on and pretty much list everything on the menu but suffice it to say EVERYTHING I’ve had here is so delicious and the banchan options rotate and are always scrumptious. Family run, kind and accommodating staff. I’ve been coming here for almost a decade and I highly recommend it. WONDERFUL!“

“If you're looking for authentic Korean food, stop by Shin's Tofu! The interior is a bit smaller with limited seating so there can be a wait. Parking can also be limited during the busy weekends.
As for food, my go to is the tofu soup. It is comforting to eat when you just want to feed your soul and nourish your body.
Their galbi marinated short rib is also really good. Lots of flavor and good char taste to it. They have a good selection of banchan, which they will easily refill once they notice you're running low.
This is a small business and everyone there have been so nice and friendly. If you're ever craving Korean food, especially tofu soup, definitely stop by here. It's worth it!“

“We got the dinner combo menu with beef ribs, spicy pork, veggie soondubu, and dumplings. It was so good and a great value. The service was really fast, and the waitresses were so sweet and kind. They always asked if we extra sides and made sure we were okay! Definitely would come back and recommend.“

“Great service and absolutely delicious food! They have slightly higher prices than I’m used to, but not complaining, just giving heads up to anyone else new. You’ve gotta know your worth!
Probably the best tofu soup I’ve ever had from a restaurant. I hope to keep coming back.“

“An amazing karaoke experience!
I came here with a group of friends, and we had an absolute blast. The private rooms were super clean, comfortable, and had great soundproofing — we could sing our hearts out without feeling self-conscious. The song selection was huge, with both English and Korean options (plus plenty of recent hits). The sound system was crisp, and the mics actually worked perfectly the whole night — which isn’t always the case at karaoke spots!
Highly recommend. I will be coming back often.“

“My boyfriend and I frequent this place regularly and every time we have the food, it’s still amazing! The Seolleongtang broth is always rich and the meat is very tender. We’ve had some other options like the clay pot Bulgogi which is flavorful, and also the Galbijjim (my favorite). The staff is also so friendly and welcoming!“

“My favorite place for jajangmyeon! Don’t miss the tangsuyuk and jjamppong. Stir-fried jajangmyeon is great for larger groups due to its portion size.
The line gets long during lunch and dinner, so arrive early. The parking lot is small, but there's usually street parking nearby.
Service is quick and efficient, and they’ll box up any leftovers for you.“

“Among many Korean BBQ restaurants, this place truly stands out for both quality and value. Compared to other BBQ spots, the pricing is very reasonable, allowing families to enjoy a satisfying and filling meal together. Side dishes are generously refilled, the meat quality is excellent, and the service is consistently attentive and friendly. This is definitely a must-try Korean BBQ restaurant in the Bay Area.“

“Bob Sang Restaurant is a hidden gem near the Tesla plant in Fremont. So far, I've tried the Galbitang, Kimchi Jigae, Bulgogi, Spicy Pork, and the latest is Seoul Style Bulgogi – really great with very tender marinated beef – tasty!
Very friendly service with the small side dishes happily refilled. This restaurant has found its way into my list of regulars.“

“The moment I had a bite of the kimchi I knew that the quality of the rest of the food would be delicious. When we walked in for an early weekday dinner, we were warmly welcomed by Chris & Ashley.
We ordered the small pork backbone soup and the steamed egg cake. The meat was very delicious and came off the bone easily. However, the soup only came with one piece of potato, we wish there was at least one more.
Other than, the service from Chris was superb as he was really attentive and helped us to refill the bonchon.
Highly recommend!“
“I had been waiting for this place to open for a long time, and finally got to visit when it did. The food and cleanliness were excellent. I ordered the bulgogi and my husband had the spicy pork, and both dishes were delicious with tender, flavorful meat.
We’ll definitely be coming back again!“

“Tofu stew and bibimbap was really good. The bibimbap stone pot stayed superrrr hot, so the rice was nice and crispy. I liked it a lot! Also, the banchan (side dishes) were great! Both a good portion and tasty. However, I will say the service was pretty slow. I think there was only one waitress the evening i came.“

“I truly love Kami. In fact, my whole family loves it. It’s a much more casual Korean dining experience with what I’d call food that you can eat in Korea in tents after work or at a food alley. It’s not your typical Korean Restaurant. It’s perfect for when you return from a trip to Korea and crave Dukbeokki, Budae Jigae, Sujebi, Kimbap, etc. They literally have the most kid friendly dining options. Both of my son’s 7 & 10 said they could eat the food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s how much they liked it! Tastes just like a grandma made it. To top it off the service was extremely warm and kind. We very much appreciated their attentiveness. We are thankful this place exists and would gladly come back again and again!“

“My friend and I come here every so often and the ladies who work at night are always really kind, almost like aunties. We usually order the cold noodles (mul naeng myeun) and tteokbokki, but we've also tried the seafood pancakes, soft tofu soup with beef, and bulgogi. Everything we've had so far has been delicious.
Our routine is to get our usuals plus one extra dish, which always leaves US with some leftovers to take home. The food is tasty, and whilel can't speak to how authentic it is, it's definitely a great spot to enjoy a relaxed dinner hangout.“

“They have new items that the other vons don't have. I tried the boneless wings side,4 pieces. Devoured 2 of them already.
Different cut of chicken, maybe breast.
Lightly battered with light seasoning.
Try this place instead of the other Von's.
And shoutout to the cashier lady Maiya for being helpful with the ordering.“

“A restaurant that stays true to the original taste of these old dishes. I’ve been disappointed by a handful of other well known Korean restaurants on El Camino as they’ve been making their dishes way too sweet to make it more palatable for the masses. I’ll probably come back here often whenever I come back to SJ. I got soondae gopchang guk and jjokbal :)“

“Aaaaaa steamed pork, oyster with spicy veggies is a bomb, I do enjoy this dish. Pork is well steamed with seasoning, the sweetness and tenderness are at the right place, amazing taste. It is not easy to cook pork well. Everything is not too much salty (as common Korean dish). The service is quick and well organized. Even I am not a fan of Korean cuisine but this place makes me want to go back again.“

“bbq is the best of the best quality chicken in the world. I ordered bbq chicken here on Thanksgiving Day yesterday and tried it.
Especially the bbq Apple Park store chicken here is crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside, and the taste of secret sauce is fantastic.
Be sure to give it a try. Maybe you won't regret it.“

“Visited this place on a whim and ordered a few things; bibimbap, jajangmyeon, and an order of KFC. The food overall was pretty good with the bibimbap being the star, the jajangmyeon was good but a little on the neutral side in terms of taste but bonus points for coming with mandu. The KFC was ok but the sauce was a little saltier than we were expecting and the chicken wasn’t well coated, they do get a nod of approval for having spicy chicken that doesn’t hold back on the heat. Overall a good experience with a few subjective hiccups.“
“I became a fan of Woomihome after the second visit! Friends recommended Woomihome and I finally got to try it. I saw that they have meal kits, pre-made hearty soups, and side dishes. So far we have had spicy and sweet chewy noodles, steamed shishi peppers, yeolmu kimchi and braised beef in soy sauce. Everything we tried was tasty and did not disappoint. Woomihome has excellent customer service and it looks like it has a great system in place. The side dishes might be a tad bit pricier compared to Korean markets, but I can see that their quality and freshness speak volumes!“

“This was my first time at Gish, and it didn't disappoint us. It was quite hard to get a reservation, and there must've been a cancellation when it showed an open reservation on the same day. Gish serves dinner only from 6 - 10 pm, and our dinner course took a full 2 hours, which meant they can only have two turnovers. It is a small place with about 25-26 seats total, with 4 seats right in front of the kitchen. They only have a single 4-course meal on the menu that changes every month, and you have to make a reservation in blind about a month ahead since there is no clue what the next month's menu will be. For December, the first course was tofu with winter green salad, which was quite refreshing, and we both enjoyed it very much. The second course, makgeolli mussel bean stew, was an interesting attempt, but it was a bit too salty for our taste - I think mainly it was the reduction of the clam juice and makgeolli. Toasted Manresa sourdough was great. The main course was beef cheek jjim, which was very tender and didn't need to use the knife at all. radish, kimchi, pomegranate, and mushroom somehow all provided a nice balance and interesting, unique taste. Dessert was goguma medley, which was my wife's favorite dessert. Overall, it was quite a pleasure, a nice surprise dinner for both of us, and we will be back for certain. It would be nice to give a heads up on the next month's menu so that people don't end up making a reservation then cancelling later. 2 2-hour dinner is nice for a special event dinner, but it may be a bit too long for others. I'd recommend this place to others to try, but be aware that the reservations fill up quickly, but I think many people end up cancelling too, so it is a bit of hit and miss. Very nice professional staff, explains every food and ingredient, and nice ambiance. Song selection can be hard to please everybody, but my preference is a bit lower volume. We will be back certainly on next occasion.“

“I have been a big fan of Yummy Tofu for years, and looks like it’s now under new management.
Food is slightly different than before, the side dishes used to be more traditional which is personal preference.

“It's hard to find excellent Korean food in the South Bay, so when I come across a good restaurant I always have to give praise! Sogongdong Tofu Town piles on the flavor and I never feel like I’m eating bland, Americanized Korean food. If this were LA, I might bump it down a star because the food scene there is so competitive. But many restaurants here can’t even deliver the basic flavors right, so I’m thrilled to discover this place conveniently tucked in an Hmart. The soondubu jjigae (”tofu soup”) here is stellar and as good as any that you’ll find in K-Town LA!“

“Wow....., it was quite better than my expectations.... I hoped I had found this place sooner when I lived in the area!!!! Away due to work, I came back for a quick visit to see my brother at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church(father Binh). We went out for lunch and since he liked Korean food I picked this one due to the close proximity to his church, and it was surprisingly good, I mean, not like Americanized; they kept great Korean flavors and taste, and Korean service attitude!!!!! A gem in an unexpected neighborhood ✨️ Will definitely come back whenever I come to the area!!!!“

“Was really craving seolleongtang since having it in Korea. Found Kunjip and knew I had to try it. The bone broth is amazing and they put a very generous portion of brisket in the soup. “I have not been to Chungdam for more than two years because everything was just way too sweet and salty. Recently, I heard that the ownership changed so I made a reservation for family dinner. Food, service, and atmosphere are all not much better than how it was under the previous ownership. We got a nice quiet room with a sliding door. Really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.“

“We were looking for a place to eat a late dinner, and found this cozy place that’s open until midnight. Side dishes were simple but tasty, and the free refills were a nice touch. The beef tofu stew arrived hot and steaming (as it should), with great flavor and generous amounts of meat and tofu.
I was pleasantly surprised by the rice, which came in a large and piping hot metal bowl that it was apparently cooked in. Finally a Korean place that A. serves the rice at the same time as the tofu stew so the rice doesn’t get cold and B. gives a hearty portion of rice befitting the ingredient’s inexpensive nature. And my partner loves those crispy bits of rice at the bottom of bibimbap, so bonus points for having those at the bottom of the rice bowl.
The restaurant itself was very clean, with practical and inviting decor. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and pricing was reasonable considering how excellent the portions were. We will definitely be coming back here whenever we need a warm late night meal!“

“TLDR: Pricey but worth it for delicious Korean food. Service can be hit or miss, ambiance varies, but the dishes are flavorful. Favorites include the Kimchi Bossam and Tteokbokki.
I’ll be honest, this place is on the pricey side, but the food is consistently delicious every time I visit. The only downside is I can’t come as often as I’d like since the cost is higher than most Korean spots. Still, it’s worth it, so just a heads-up if you’re planning to come.
The service can be hit or miss. Sometimes attentive, other times you’ll need to flag someone down. The ambiance is usually laid back, though it depends on the day and crowd size.
Here’s what I’ve tried:
Kimchi Bossam (19 or 21) – Hell yes!
Seasoned Raw Crab in Spicy House Sauce (25) – Messy and complicated, but not the main event.
Tteokbokki – Delicious.“

“Hansang Tofu – The Hidden Gem of Milpitas 💎🇰🇷
This place is almost hidden in plain sight, tucked right behind the McDonald’s everyone in Milpitas knows. It’s one of those true “if you know, you know” spots that locals swear by.
My girlfriend and I have been coming here for a while now, and the reason we keep coming back is simple: quality. Every dish that comes out of the kitchen is consistently fresh, flavorful, and made with care.
What We Ordered 🍽️
Special Combo #35 – Galbi & Seafood Tofu Soup (Medium Spicy)
The portions are on the smaller side, but honestly, they’re perfect for two people, just enough to leave you satisfied without feeling stuffed.
The Galbi is beautifully marinated and grilled to perfection with that irresistible sweet and savory balance and a hint of char.
The Seafood Tofu Soup is our favorite, clean, rich, and full of depth. It’s easily one of the best versions around.
Pairing these two together is a flavor explosion, comforting, savory, and perfectly balanced. Add in a scoop of rice and some kimchi, and it’s game over. 🔥
Mandu 🥟
Freshly fried to golden crispiness with a juicy pork filling inside. The vinegar-based dipping sauce cuts through the richness perfectly, it’s tangy, addictive, and keeps you reaching for more.
The Banchan (Side Dishes) 🥢
Hansang nails their banchan every single time. From the kimchi to the seasoned sprouts, everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully made. You know a Korean restaurant is good when even the side dishes shine.
If you’re looking for an authentic Korean spot that hasn’t blown up yet, this is it. Come now (or better yet, yesterday) before everyone else finds out. Huge thanks to the Hansang staff for always taking care of us and keeping the quality top-notch. 🙌🇰🇷“
