“I was craving some Korean food and came here and it was GOOD! After we ordered through the QR code on the table, we got some banchan, which was okay. We then got some sort of soup and it was amazing. We ordered the seafood pancake (great), deluxe tteokbokki (amazing and super heavy), and bulgogi bibimbap (great). Would definitely return.“

The only reason that I leave one star blank is because they are very popular so that the waitresses are asking us to leave before our chat ends and we have to go to milk tea place to finish our conversation.“

After the pandemic, the restaurant started to serve the kimchi and some dishes in a lunch box container. It made us feel like we were having takeout in the restaurant though we understood it made it easier to take home the kimchi leftovers. We still would prefer it going back to serving in dine-in containers.“

“Obviously, their iconic Daeho Kalbi Jjim tastes good. Definitely more on the sweet side, but quite authentic to kalbi jjim I've had in Korea. I also got their naemmyeon (sorry if I spelled it wrong). It was tasty and cold, but the portion is huge! Hard for 1 person to finish. Their banchan (kimchis) were lacking. They don't give much and they didn't taste very good. Kind of like if you made kimchi from home not realizing it'll take a couple days to get the proper fermented taste. Staff was attentive and handled the long lines and crowded restaurant well. However, THERE IS NO AC! PLACE WAS SO HOT!!! Be ready to sweat just from heat. I like the music choice though. Had some Big Bang playing and some other pre-BTS popular Kpop. Would I go again? Probably not. You save money making kalbi jjim at home. But it's a nice little experience.“

“Clean interior with polite employees, no problems whatsoever. I love getting the original fried chicken (the saucy ones are too saucy). The original is fried to a light crisp with subtle spiciness. Best part is the way their cut their bone-in chicken. It makes it super easy to eat.

Update: this time I tried the Soy Garlic wings... it was a 10/10 having the right amount of sauce, crisp, and lots of garlic flavor like I prefer. Great with beer.“

“Omogari is popping here in the Japantown neighborhood and I was excited to dine here with some friends in their outdoor patio.

With a long line for Korean food and indoor/outdoor seating, be sure to use the Yelp waitlist if you can to get ahead of the wait.

They have classic Korean dishes with fairly generous portions from what I could tell. Limited veggie options (and you'll have to ask to make sure something can be fully plant-based/vegan), but I was happy to see they could make their Mushroom Sundubu with veggie stock. I ordered that spicy and it luckily also came with rice.

The sundubu was fantastic and hit every note I could want from a tofu stew. Loved the veggies, the broth was not too salty, and the accompanied banchan was great with the meal.

Service was also pretty fast considering how busy they were and they checked in on us for just the right amount of time. Thanks Omogari for a great dinner experience.“

The soup is hot and yummy, the sides are great and as far as I know are free refills, it comes with a free drink, and the workers are nice. Truly a hidden treasure, highly recommend you come here.“

“This is a decent restaurant that meets expectations. Jajangmyun was a little too sweet and they most likely used machines to make their noodles (as opposed to making their own).

However, this isn’t a place where you dine to get the best Korean Chinese dishes. Their prices are highly competitive and you get exactly that. Fast service, adequate quality food and smaller portions. It’s an attractive place to dine for a value play.“

Also I see lots of folks mentioning banchan is too simple but honestly you don’t need banchan except good radish kimch(깍두기) for seollungtang. If you need banchan for your soup then the restaurant is doing something wrong lol

“The food here was amazing, but the service here was outstanding! Kai had such a good demeanor while serving us, and treated us so warmly.

We got Spicy Bulgogi with Kimchi Fried Rice and Fish Cakes as an appetizer, and the overall quality was great!

“Not too bad, surprised me with diet accommodation i asked for. I saw good and bad reviews, but since it was next to chachacha, i tried it. I can see myself coming again. There was just 2 workers on an afternoon and a few dine in guest. The 2 workers looked quite busy. I just hope they are not too worn out, and can keep up with sanitation/hygiene. On a good note, the rice was mixed with black rice which is nice. Accommodated my diet request, greatly appreciate that. Veggies are pretty good and tasty.
Im pretty happy with purchase and food. I just hope boss can keep up with sanitation because i read reviews that the neighboring restaurants saw pest (bugs). The boss can probably handle hiring more workers, because the business seems pretty good here. If needed.“

“A popular Korean BBQ restaurant that has been around for many years in the Koreatown of Santa Clara. They have four sets of menu for 2-4 people. The waitress would ask you to pick out the meats as soon as you enter the door before you sit down at the table. Our waitress recommended brisket, pork belly, bulgogi (sliced beef), and galbi (beef short ribs), as well as the steamed egg for the kids. We also added a spicy BBQ chicken. The brisket and pork belly were a bit dry but still pretty tasty; the bulgogi tasted a bit too sweet; the galbi and the spicy BBQ chicken were the best. You can dip the meats in four different kinds of sauces (fermented bean sauce, soy sauce, spicy sauce, and sesame oil). Their side dishes were all very good. The set also cane with a seafood pancake and kimchi fried rice or plain rice. There was a lot of food for the set. We barely finished everything. Service was very efficient.“

“Bob Sang Restaurant is a hidden gem near the Tesla plant in Fremont. So far, I've tried the Galbitang, Kimchi Jigae, Bulgogi, Spicy Pork, and the latest is Seoul Style Bulgogi – really great with very tender marinated beef – tasty!

“Excellent food and quick service. We ordered the smoked salmon sandwich, combo Isaac, ham and cheese Isaac, and the beef kimbap. All had good flavors and tasted fresh. Finally was able to try this place. They close early at 3pm so we never got a chance to try it. So glad we tried it today for an early lunch. Good price for the food. Most items were between $5-8. Seafood pancake was thick, crunchy and can be shared with a group of 4 or more. For how much you got, there wasn't enough sauce to dip it in.

Grilled mackerel was my favorite. It wasn't too salty, crispy on the outside, and had good flavor. I was just disappointed that our plate was taken away, which still had a small piece left and wasn't asked if we were done with it.

We got the army stew and it was on the saltier side, which then got saltier once the broth dried up from the stove. It was spicy and had a nice kick. Flavor was good but it was just really salty. The small size was enough for a group of 4.

This doesn't feel like an authentic Korean restaurant. They don't see any alcohol like soju. Parking in this plaza can get crazy. With that said, I wouldn't make the extra effort in coming here.“

“This is the best authentic Korean style bbq i have ever had! Sun hee is the best chef around town for all bbq and Korean style food Me and my family had the Egg wrapping with fried rice and it was the best!!“

“We had their spicy topokki, clam soup, seafood pancake, grilled squid and fried whole chicken. Every dish was done well, impressed with their seafood pancake, crispy outside and moist inside. Perfectly seasoned. They don't provide banchan at the table. Slight disappointment.“

We also ordered catch of the day dish (not shown in picture), the fish was light and crispy but the kimchi fried rice it came with was lacking; it tasted more like lightly seasoned fried rice—couldn’t taste the kimchi. Overall, the presentation was great and taste was enjoyable.“

The food, oh, the food! It was a delightful journey through flavors that are both comforting and exciting. Each dish was prepared with such skill and passion, truly showcasing the best of Korean cuisine. The ambiance of Rice Junky added to the overall enjoyment, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that complements the culinary experience perfectly.

I cannot recommend Rice Junky enough to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable dining experience in Santa Clara. Thank you, Joe and Jay, for making my day brighter. I look forward to my next visit!

“We went on a Friday night. This was our second time at MoDak. I was surprised there was nobody dining in when we got there, but I was happy to see they had some togo orders.
I love the decor.
The food is excellent.
The only thing I would suggest is not adding sesame oil to their kimbaps. I have eaten kimbaps in many different places. This was the first time they had sesame oil on them.“

Food is slightly different than before, the side dishes used to be more traditional which is personal preference.

The texture, flavor, the coldness of the noodle all in one bowl was absolutely delicious!!! You must try that dish when visiting here. I devoured that bowl of food. “Chungdam was a unique combination of simplistic feng shui & classic atmosphere feels. It felt elevated-better than your typical greasy BBQ restaurant. It was nice to have everything prepared & cooked for you. I personally don’t like going to BBQ places where I have to prepare it all - no coordination lol. We ordered the marinaded shirt ribs & a rib eye with all the delicious variations of sides. The sake is so smooth! I usually prefer hot sake more but this was a high quality brand & it was well worth the price.

“I became a fan of Woomihome after the second visit! Friends recommended Woomihome and I finally got to try it. I saw that they have meal kits, pre-made hearty soups, and side dishes. So far we have had spicy and sweet chewy noodles, steamed shishi peppers, yeolmu kimchi and braised beef in soy sauce. Everything we tried was tasty and did not disappoint. Woomihome has excellent customer service and it looks like it has a great system in place. The side dishes might be a tad bit pricier compared to Korean markets, but I can see that their quality and freshness speak volumes!“
