I highly recommend ordering the fresh guacamole for the table to share; it's a great complement to the chips. It was difficult to choose an entree, but I went with the El Vaquero. The steak was cooked perfectly, with the enchilada being the best I've had in San Diego. It also came with filet taquitos, guac, and refried beans, all of which were wonderful. I highly recommend South of Nick's for your next dinner out, regardless of your party size.“

“My favorite burritos in San Diego. I grew up on Mission-style burritos in the bay area. Impossible to find those in San Diego, but at Caliente I get the veggie burrito and add whatever meat I want. That is as close to a Mission-style burrito I can find in town. Everything is excellent, fresh, and good quality. Ask for the orange habanero sauce, it’s amazing!“

“I come here often because the food is fresh. I love Mexican food and Sombreros is the best in my opinion. The staff are polite and friendly, you are able to see the cooks while at the front while ordering. When I speak they wave with smiles.
The inside is clean as well as the bathroom. When I come it’s comfortable and some times I may come in for takeout but wind up staying to eat in the restaurant.

“found the Las Vegas Sayulitas 2 yrs ago when staying at the Luxor. there burritos are beyond spectacular. big and so delicious. I can't say it enough. and the sauces on the little sauce bar are outstanding. I've never had anything like those sauces. the hot green sauce and hot red sauce are phenomenal. I like the green the best. I lived in AZ years ago. went back home to upstate NY. there is no place near me that even comes close. That’s not even to say how amazing the food was. I always appreciate a restaurant who isn’t afraid to be authentic and kick up the spice level in their food. They were transparent in telling us the spice level and of course we agreed (Mexican and Chinese couple we loveeee spice) and they were excited to share their El Picosito aguachile. Perfectly seasoned shrimp, and super fresh, tasty tortillas and amazingly prepared branzino.

I saw this taco shop and it was packed and you know about packed restaurants it usually a good place to eat. I havd the carnitas tacos the number 12 and kids got the same and wifey got the menudo and all we have to say about his place "IS IT WAS THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD I HAVE HAD IN A LONG TIME!!!!!!" “This is a small Mexican joint tucked away at the back of the Trader Joe's area on Mira mesa Blvd. near Scripps Ranch. Entry is after the Trader Joe's entry. You cannot directly enter from any the Trader joes mall. The food was really good. We tried the bean and cheese burrito and the Al pastor tacos with chips. The salsas were amazing. Definitely worth a try.“

“Taco Time is the best Mexican food by far in La Jolla and among my all-time favorites in San Diego. The food is so fresh and delicious, with such high-quality ingredients &seed oil free if that tickles your fancy. I notice such a big difference in the quality of cuts of meats they use compared to other shops, so spectacular. Chef Ceasar is the best and the rest of the staff is amazing too!
