“Pho Ha Noi earns 4* from me. If I lived in Garden Grove, it might be a 3* rating relative to the other pho places that abound in that Little Saigon, but for South County, it is a solid 4* relative to the others around. When I take my father, who lives in LWV out for pho, this is his favorite one. I usually get Rare Steak & Tendon pho or a Broken Rice dish with shredded pork and charbroiled pork. Both are always more than acceptable, but the one thing I miss is the fried egg on top of the rice, that my favorite Vietnamese place in San Diego does“

“This place is always busy now. We have learned to plan accordingly and put our name on the wait list before we are super hungry. It sucks to wait outside sometimes, but there is zero waiting room on the inside so its necessary. At least now they have warmers for when it gets cold.

The food is always good. Never too long of a wait. We love the chicken nugget basket. And we always get the same Pho. I recommend trying it shaken style. That garlic and onion just adds that extra something! And out of all the times we have been, last night was the best service we had by far. We hosted an informal rehearsal dinner here on a Thursday evening for a group of 27, and everything was fantastic. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, responsive, and professional.
The restaurant is located in a beautiful shopping complex with plenty of parking, which made logistics easy for our guests. Since I live in the SF Bay Area, I coordinated the event remotely with Ken via phone and text. He was amazing—super helpful in planning a menu that fit our budget and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Ken and his team even went out of their way to accommodate one of our gluten-free guests, which we really appreciated.
The food was delicious—from the individually prepared, fresh and flavorful Vietnamese shrimp spring rolls to the hearty combination chow mein, everything was a hit. The Garlic Tofu & Vegetables were especially popular with the group, and my personal favorite was the Black Pepper Steak.
They set up a private patio area for us that felt intimate yet still connected to the restaurant’s relaxed SoCal vibe. The white tablecloths and flower arrangements added a lovely touch to our pre-wedding celebration.
Everyone in our party had a great time—great food, warm atmosphere, and top-notch service.
