“We’re local and were looking for a spot with both vegan and non vegan options to have brunch when we stumbled upon Quail and Crane. We were initially bummed to discover at noon on a Saturday that there was no brunch, and breakfast ends at 11, but we were so impressed and delighted by the lunch options that we will definitely be back. It’s so hard to find vegan eggs, and I was able to get them on the incredible vegan fried rice dish, which I was thrilled about! And my partner loved his wings and spam fried rice. “This is one of my favorite Korean restaurants in the Bay Area. One of the reasons is because they have a good selection of banchans. They offer a small fish that comes as a standard banchan.

We ordered Soondubu seafood and fish roe with Japchae as an appetizer. The Japchae was on the sweeter side and I wish it had a little more char flavor. Overall still a good dish. Portion sizes are generous. The soondubu’s had plenty of addins.“

I ordered 6 dishes total and it was only a little over $100 subtotal, wow, can't get this amount of food anywhere else in the bay area!! All the dishes came piping hot (thanks to the door dash driver) and each container was filled to the brim! I felt like this $100 was well spent, I'm so glad I found this little gem. So I don't take places like Gunter's for granted, an old establishment (South San Francisco) in the midst of urban blandness of homogeneity. They're still places where old men gather swapping tall tales and spar politics over Farmer Brothers coffee brand to while their time away.

This genre seems to be a fleeting gem of Americana as I see many of them boarded up and closed down even along the blue highways. So in your travels, take a moment to patronize these places before too many of them disappear as victims of people's preference for national brands and indifference.“

The fish was fresh and prepared well, the presentation was very nice, and sitting at the sushi bar was a cool experience. Service was a little slow, but they were absolutely packed with customers. “Atlas is a unique place. I’ve stopped by with friends for an event but not really had the full Atlas experience until tonight. I had one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! The Italian garlic combo! Friendly staff, wine and beer, tonight there was live music on the patio area. Max the owner is a wonderful host who is very active in the San Bruno community. Atlas is bringing good times back to down town San Bruno. Make it one of your first post pandemic stops!“

“I'm on a mission to try as many Japanese spots in the upper Peninsula as possible. This is a solid Izakaya spot in San Bruno. The American wagyu beef skewer, pork belly skewer, and corn tempura were standout dishes for me - The wagyu is one of the best beef skewers I've ever had. The chicken skewer and salmon lover nigiri were also really good. The beef croquette and spicy tuna crispy rice were just okay, I wish they had more flavor. Service was good, they were attentive and friendly. Overall a great experience. I'm definitely going to come back and try more things.“

“Ever thought of trying a local small business, family restaurant. The guy who runs this place came from Turkiye in 2008. Settled down in SFO, had a family and is living an American dream.
His only complaint is SFO is expensive. Well we can all agree to that.
Food is very tasty.
We tried falafel wrap, chicken gyro and kids gyro with rice. All of these were of great quality. Plus the Turkish delight was fabulous. Owner shared Turkish tea on the house. Plus I ordered fries in kids meal but it came with rice instead. No worries he added fries and refused to take money for it. Well I made it up in the tip.
If you are south SFO and crave Mediterranean food. This is the place.“

“What I appreciate most about this cozy local gem is the delicious honest food, staff and ambiance. It’s just an honest to goodness great place that’s been here for decades and I truly respect that, in an era where most restaurants get too fancy with chaotic music and weird fusion menus for the sake of being “cool.” But not here. This husband and wife team deserve all the patronage, they are hardworking and genuinely friendly folks. Upon entering, the wife came out from back, greeted us right away and offered us to pick any table. We ordered some beer, Tom Yum Koong and Pad Thai. Fairly basic items but there was something special about each of them. The beer was ICE cold and also came with a frosty mug. I don’t know why most restaurants/bars don’t offer the frosty mug anymore but it’s a detail that shows an extra level of thoughtfulness for their customers. Next, the Tom Yum Koong soup, which came out quickly. Note: a medium level heat is still fairly tolerable. The highlight of this soup was a surprising slight sweetness, we couldn’t place where from but it was pleasant and overall delicious. Lastly, the well plated shrimp Pad Thai with generous sauce had excellent depth of flavor. We were so impressed with a tasty affordable dinner, which came out to less than $60. I also appreciated the little tamarind candy that came with the bill. Parking is easy as there’s a small lot in front and street parking. There are so many small details to love at Pacifica Thai. We look forward to returning soon!“

“3 of us came here for dinner earlier this week. My husband found the restaurant on Yelp! and it turns out to be one of our friend's favourite restaurants in the area.

We ordered the following dishes:

- Gal Bi Jim - My husband would not stop talking about it. The sauce was rich and flavourful and the short ribs just melted in your mouth.

- Dolpan Bibimbap - The rice was perfect;y cooked with a slightly crispy bottom. The portions of rice, meat and vegetables were very well balanced.

- Han Sang Guk Bap - The best part of the noodle soup was the broth. It was so tasty. I had every last drop of it with my side purple rice.

- Yuk Hwe - I'm usually impartial to beef tartare but it was better than some of the beef tartares I had in Paris!“
