“Went on a lazy Sunday morning. No wait. Got a table easy. We sat outside facing the parking lot (not the best view but I'll take it). Got a smash burger for myself and Italian sandwich for my partner with a side of fries. Felt like many locals come back here. Had a very friendly person who helped us at the counter. Everything tasted perfect. Very happy with the experience. Would go back.“

“Cafe Artys is fantastic, the food is fresh and superb, the spicy Italian and breakfast burritos/quesadillas are top notch as well. Can’t recommend this place enough, The parking gate has a 15 minute grace period and the machines work perfectly and are really fast so don’t worry about that. Highly recommend, it’s so easy to just go for a chain food restaurant but supporting a small local business is so important these days not too mention it’s so much more healthy and better food at Cafe Artys!“

“Sessions is great for a beach sandwich! Unique sandwiches that I always crave (especially the Moddock Mellee- sprouts yum!) would definitely recommend if you want a good sandwich to take to the beach.
Wait can be a little long for a big group in the summer and prices are a little higher than I’d like but do recommend their food!“

“My daughter and I live in the San Gabriel Valley, but have become huge fans of Sessions. The food is unbelievably fresh, and so flavorful. Delicious coffee too! It’s also toddler approved (which is saying a lot) It’s well worth the trip down.“

“Love this dive convenience store. The sales staff is super cool. Fast, friendly, and helpful. If they dont have whatcha want, they'll order it! The ladies behind the deli counter are so sweet and make INCREDIBLE sandwiches big enough for 2 meals. Don't get me started on BBQ Saturdays. Seriously. I'm a 'reg' and love this place“

“The manager was absolute perfection she was a delight I had some of the best customers service I received in a very very long time I will definitely be going back my sandwich was a bit pricey 17 bucks for a footlong with three cookies chips and soda but it was real good service can't be beat!! The store was immaculately clean no complaints and I love the cookies especially the white chocolate macadamia I know you can get some pretty much everywhere nowadays but for some reason I really like subways haha“

“I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Jimmy John’s, and especially about Christie, the catering manager! From the moment I walked in, she was an absolute delight. Christie’s positivity and energy were contagious—her genuine warmth made every single person who walked through the door feel incredibly welcome. She took the time to engage with everyone in such a friendly and caring manner, creating an atmosphere that was so inviting and pleasant. It’s rare to come across someone with such a natural ability to brighten up a room!
And of course, the food was fantastic! As always, Jimmy John’s delivered fresh, tasty sandwiches that hit the spot. But it was Christie’s exceptional service that really stood out. She truly went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible. If you’re ever in need of catering or just stopping by for a quick meal, do yourself a favor and visit! You’re in for a treat—both in food and in the kind of service that makes you want to come back. Thank you, Christie, for making our visit so memorable!“

“If you’re looking for a sandwich shop that serves more than just great food, this is the place.
We stopped by this small family-owned sandwich shop for the first time, and from the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed. Jerry, the owner, greeted us with the warmth and friendliness of someone welcoming regular customers he had known for years. That kind of hospitality is rare these days and immediately made us feel at home.
Every sandwich we ordered was outstanding. The bread was fresh, the vegetables were crisp and vibrant, and every ingredient tasted incredibly fresh. You could hear the crunch of the vegetables in each bite and tell that every sandwich was made with care and attention, not simply assembled and handed over. It’s the kind of food that reminds you how delicious simple, fresh ingredients can be when prepared by people who truly care.
We also ordered a strawberry-banana smoothie, and to our surprise, Jerry brought complimentary sample smoothies not only to our table but also to another couple dining nearby. It was such a thoughtful gesture and speaks volumes about the kind of people who run this business.
What made the experience even more meaningful was hearing Jerr’s story. He shared that he came to America in 1981 after escaping the horrors of war in Cambodia. He endured unimaginable hardship as a child, including witnessing the loss of his father and being separated from his family before eventually reuniting with his mother years later. Listening to his journey made us appreciate even more the resilience, gratitude, and kindness he brings to his business every day.
Running a small business is not easy, and Jerry mentioned that the margins are tight and times can be challenging. After experiencing both the food and the hospitality firsthand, I truly hope more people discover this hidden gem. Businesses like this deserve community support.
I’m so glad I found this place on Google Maps and decided to give it a chance. The food was delicious, the service was exceptional, and the people behind it are genuinely wonderful. This is exactly the kind of local business I want to support.
If you’re in Irvine and craving a fresh, delicious sandwich made with care by some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won’t be disappointed.
We’ve already saved it and will absolutely be back the next time we’re in Irvine.
PS: I wish I had taken the pics of our sandwiches but we were hungry and couldn’t resist eating them right away.“
