“The food here is always on point and the service is top class, we dine here at least once a month and we have always had great service and food the only issue I have is I feel like the restrooms are often neglected with so much traffic I feel like someone should be cleaning those at least every 30 minute to an hour that is actually my only issue with this place. i do realize its only two small restrooms and the place is always packed but even when its nto packed the restrooms still need some attention.“

“I have worked around the corner from Bench for years. I only recently got into coffee and so I've tried pretty much ever coffee shop in the near vicinity and this is by far the best latte in the area. Don't forget there is an upstairs seating area with a table and chairs.

The only thing that I would prefer is to have a couple comfortable chairs upstairs. If I could sit in a cushy chair I'd be so happy! But it's comfortable enough to be my go to spot now!“

“First time in the area and hadn’t eaten lunch yet. The spicy chicken sandwich is beyond delicious. I asked for the chilis on the side. Everything taste incredible. The ingredients tastes as fresh as that home cooked meal that only your family knew how to make, but you could never replicate.“

“#1 Fan ~ The food is amazingly delicious and healthy at moonbowls. I get a bowl at least twice a week, have turned many friends onto moonbowls, and have even had our staff lunch catered by them. I will say the pickup experience is a little weird but I'm slowly getting used to it. Using Doordash makes it super convenient and helpful. Regardless of the latter, the food taste and quality far outweighs the pickup experience so it is what it is.

“Heck ya!! What a fabulous dining experience! It’s a cozy restaurant in downtown Martinez. Definitely recommend making reservation as this place can be super packed esp. during live music hours. Everything we ordered, from their daily specials, to locally sourced ingredients give you a farm to table kind of dining venture. The house cocktails are refreshing-ly good. “I spent about $45…for a whole bunch of yummy stuff! It’s amazing to be able to go straight to the bakery, and also kind of dangerous. You can see some of the menu on the window outside as you wait in line (there will almost always be a line), and you can peek in and see the day’s selection of breads and pastries. Only two parties at a time fit inside to order. There’s a small parking lot in front and more parking behind. I highly recommend the seasonal focaccia pizzas! An pain epi, just yum.“

“When searching for a quick, easy, and filling lunch during my break, I ended up here at this cute little Viet Bagel & Banh Mi shop called Tay Tah Cafe!

When you first enter, you’re guided by arrows that lead you to the ordering tablet, or you can order at the main counter. The shop is small, but has plenty of counter seating and some small tables available as well! In between the front door and ordering, there’s a selection of chips and snacks for you to browse as well.

I was initially looking to order Banh Mi but was a bit intimidated by the $17/banh mi price tag. I opted in for an open face Asiago Bagel with Lox for $13 and placed my order. Breakfast orders that are $10+ get a free house coffee as well, so of course I opted in for it!

There’s a bathroom just around the corner from the ordering kiosk, but while I was making my way over there, the kind staff let me know that they are actually sold out of lox. They offered me a refund or to change what I ordered. I decided to switch to the Asiago Bagel with Ham, Bacon, Egg, and Cheese since it was the same price as the Lox!

My coffee came out first, and the person who gave me my coffee also filled up my cup with ice when I asked! The coffee itself had a nice deep & bitter flavor which I look for in a house coffee.

The sandwich was STUFFED full. I’ve never had a bagel breakfast sandwhich where I’ve quite had to unhinge my jaw like this. My photos did not do the sandwich justice, but I promise it’s so much bigger than you’d expect!

The eggs were perfectly fluffy and smothered in cheese. The ham and bacon were cooked to my personal liking. If you like crispy bacon, maybe mention that to them, because it was perfectly chewy for me. The bagel, was soft, fluffy, yet so bouncy, and I LOVE that there are poppy seeds mixed into their Asiago bagel.

The cost to quantity ratio for the breakfast sandwich was 100% worth it. I’ll definitely be back when I need a hearty sandwich.“

“Beautiful, creative and delicious cupcakes! I got 4 cupcakes for my brother's birthday and it was put in a beautiful case to prevent them from flipping over. They have fun flavors like peach and key lime! I got a chance to taste the standard one which is the red velvet. The key to good cupcakes to me is the moisture of the cake and the right sweet/creaminess of the frosting. Capcakin definitely hits the mark! The price of cupcakes here is reasonable given that many things are expensive these days. Highly recommended if you celebrate any occasions or you just want to be happy eating good cupcakes :)“

“Love, love, loooove this cafe! Nomad is everything that you could ever want in a local neighborhood cafe! They’ve got delicious drinks, incredible food, outstanding service, great vibes, and they know their customers. I’ve been coming here for quite sometime now and I’ve never had a bad experience here.

My ultimate fave: Enjoying their chai latte and a pork chop banh mi on the patio. This combo is a win-win for me every single time. Recently, I’ve branched out of my norm and have become obsessed with their matcha latte and other banh mi’s as well. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything that you try here. It’s always gonna be the bomb.com!

What really seals the deal for me is the excellent customer service. The staff is so sweet and efficient. The owner Bee is an absolute gem! That fact that he remembers me and goes out of his way to say hi even when he’s busy working is truly an honor. I’m writing this review as I’m sitting here on the patio having lunch because I’m just so impressed.

“LOVE this bakery!!! Gayle and Pamela are so kind and accommodating. We asked them to make our wedding cake in their signature chocolate raspberry flavor (and to keep the natural pink frosting!). Everyone absolutely loved the cake, it couldn’t have been more perfect. They were very responsive and made sure everything was perfect for us. “We were in the Walnut Creek and were craving piroshkis. We knew about Babushka Market & Deli and so we went there and ordered 6 piroshkis. The lady named Lyubov behind the counter is one of the nicest person we have ever met. She was very helpful and explained how they have something like 16 or 17 different kinds/varieties of piroshkis. We ordered 3 beef and 3 beef with jalapeno and they warmed them up for us on the spot. These are baked piroshkis, not deep friend, so they were not oily like the other kind. They were filled with a huge portion of meat with perfect seasoning with a huge beef flavor. They are literally the perfect sandwich and for a very reasonable price. We were very impressed by the quality of them and even one is enough to fully satisfy your hunger. As we were sitting at the table inside eating them, gentleman at the table next to us starting talking to us about the piroshkis. It turned out he was the owner of the Market and his name was Leo and he started it 29 years ago and runs it with his family. He told us that they buy their meat fresh and grind it on site and use all fresh and good ingredients, which explains why the piroshkis are so fantastic. We talked with Leo for a long time about the olden days, living in other countries, and our common experiences and ancestries…it was a wonderful conversation which was a perfect complement to the best piroshkis in the Bay Area in our opinion. If you haven’t tried this place we urge you to stop buy and buy one, which I think for sure after you eat it, you’ll want to buy a few more to take home. 5 Stars to this place…the best!“

“Shocked and amazed by this awesome little coffee shop. I discovered my first highwire coffee in oakland. this one operates out of an old airstream trailer co-located with a plant nursery. Not a lot of outdoor seating, but the coffee is great, the pastries are fresh, and the service was reasonably friendly.“

“Southie has the coziest local vibe—walking in feels like stepping up to your own kitchen counter. Super casual, we seated ourselves and soaked in the relaxed atmosphere.

The menu is minimal, but don’t let that fool you. Everything on it is absolutely stellar. I ordered the poached eggs with bacon over a salad, and my husband went for the breakfast burrito. We consider ourselves breakfast burrito connoisseurs, and this one ranks among the best we’ve had. It skips the potatoes, which some will appreciate (though I do love a good California burrito loaded with fries). We shared bites of each other’s dishes and both were delicious.

The vibe here is totally unpretentious, but the food tells a different story—it’s crafted with real care. And just like being at home, they had wine on tap, so I strolled over to the counter and treated myself to a glass. Highly recommend.
