“My brother and I had the most amazing night of superb jazz and food this past Sunday, entertained by Betty Bryant and ensemble. Her fingers moved like liquid gold on the keyboard and her compositions were witty and mesmerizing. The word that kept coming to mind as they performed was "subtle." The music was powerful, but so discrete as to be gentle and gentile. Woodwinds, Bass, and Drums - all played with the kind of delight that makes everyone love the performers as well as the music. As for food, one dish stood out particularly: the creamed spinach with blue cheese. Please tell Chef I would love that recipe! I'm back home in Tennessee now and plan to attempt to copy it, but having the authentic recipe to serve to friends when we entertain would be over the top! “The 4 of us chose the Dine LA menu. Caesar salad, salmon and chocolate tort for desert. IT was outstanding. The portions were generous, the service was terrific and the desert was delicious. An excellent value for the dinner and we all will definitely return to try the regular menu“

Those biscuits put them on the MAP! I had lost faith in biscuits & gravy in this city. I have been let down time and time again because it was so weak. It’s a tapas / Family style and has a lot of options to choose from. we ordered the cauliflower, meatballs, shishito peppers, tagliatelle pasta, spicy Korean fried chicken wings… it was Enough to feed a small family! Cooked to perfection. Also we had the fluffernutter dessert.. honestly everything was Delicious!!!

“Been coming to North End since 2010. Best gem of the south bay. Some favorites from the lunch menu are the Manhattan, el guapo, Alicia, bolsa chica. The cobb salad. We also get fuego burger or the Jimmy salad. Get the breakfast potatoes too. Pretty awesome place and is right by the strand. My order lately is Bolsa Chica sandwich or old Cobb salad.“

“This is a hidden gem just off PCH. We absolutely love Country Kitchen!!! Best breakfast burrito in LA in my opinion. The potatoes are seasoned perfectly, the ratio of egg/cheese/potato is perfect and their salsa is delicious! There is parking and some tables outside, great to pick up to-go. We drive from Venice to Country Kitchen almost every weekend to get these.“

“It was such a lovely venture out for my Mom’s birthday, on Friday. Alex and Dominique (management) are quite lovely, and helped make our dining experience all the more, a joy! Love the new additions to the menu, particularly the Mini Steak French Dips. The Chicken Parmesan was excellent with the twist of those ‘pepper-like sweet’ tomatoes. If there is ever something you want to bring back to the menu I would highly suggest the sliders, they were missed for sure lol! Looking forward to dining again here, soon. Cheers! ✨💖🥂“

“Stopped in after an errand on an early weekday evening. Forgotten how much I enjoy being there. Above all, a wonderful, welcoming staff. Sat in the bar area at a table, the gentleman bartender is just so outgoing & friendly, wait staff is great too. A nice happy hour menu, but ordered off the regular menu with a glass of great wine.

Only callout to management. You have a great vibe with awesome staff. Upgrade your menu for customers who want more for dinner, than what everyone else on Main St serves: burgers, tacos, fried options. Your food quality & presentation is great, just don’t be content with “bar food”. You are sandwiched between multiple bars, sushi & Mexican food and nowhere on the street is there a nice, casual mid priced venue. You can do better on the menu & also add some more premium wines by the glass. The neighborhood will appreciate it.“

I expected a wine bar , but I have to say the food offerings are quite excellent.

I got the steak and fries. The steak was perfect and the fries were crispy and made just right.

“We parked across the street from the Culver Steps garage, which turned out to be the easiest option — reasonable rates, plenty of space, and a quick walk over. You can take the elevator up to the restaurant, which makes the whole place accessible, but we took the stairs. Going up in the evening felt almost cinematic: the steps are softly lit, the buildings glow around you, and Culver City has that nighttime energy that feels both urban and cozy.

Inside, Laurel Grill is big, warm, and slightly dressy in the best way. The lighting is dim but elegant, the bar stretches across the room, and there’s a hum of people settling into conversations, date nights, and groups of friends meeting after work. Even though the space is huge, we still had a short wait and eventually sat at the bar — which ended up being perfectly comfortable.

The service was lovely. We were checked on multiple times, glasses refilled, and never once felt unattended.

We kept dinner simple: handmade pasta — fresh, flavorful. We also appreciated that the menu has good options for vegetarians. Between the pastas, salads, and sides, it didn’t feel like an afterthought. Drinks were reasonably priced for fancy LA :)

The bar area does sit close to the doors, and since many of them stay open, it can get chilly on colder nights. If that bothers you, request a table away from the entrances or opt for a booth inside. The outdoor fire pits also looked beautiful and would be great on a more temperate evening.

One little detail we loved: the restaurant decor includes classic Hollywood photos — Elvis and other vintage touches — which reminded us that Culver City is surrounded by studios.

Overall, Laurel Grill is a great pick for a slightly elevated night out. The space is gorgeous, the food is solid, the service is warm. We would definitely return — maybe next time for a table and a slower dinner, or a cozy drink by the fire.“
