This turkey sando with avocado was made to order with a pressed panini style bread which totally worked, packed with fresh ingredients, and not skimping on the boars head turkey. “Great, very casual breakfast and lunch restaurant very close to LAX. We arrived home very late and stayed overnight at the LAX Hyatt regency. The Original Rinaldi's is on the same side of the street and less than one block from the Hyatt Regency. We did not want an expensive hotel breakfast. Walked in to Rinaldi's and got a very warm welcome. They have different coffees so we tried the iced Vietnamese coffee in recognition of our completed trip. The coffee was terrific. Breakfast items were fresh, tasty, and healthy. Got a bottle of Langer's OJ to wash it down - cold and refreshing. Chatted with the nice lady that took our order. Excellent way to enjoy a reasonably priced breakfast or lunch near the airport. Or, not a bad idea to pre order food and take it on your flight.“

“Monroe Place gets crowded with online orders for good reason, their sandwiches are to die for. Yet, they never forget to take good care of in person orders (usually get food within 5 minutes). “Love the Lokal Dac Biet Banh Mi (Old Skool) and their milk tea with boba. They always hit the spot! Everything is super consistent and tasty. Their milk tea boba is actually just as good as a boba shop. I got less sweet and less ice — it was perfect. There are two types of Dac biet you can get, one has more toppings like pork floss and more meat while the other is a more basic Dac biet. Read the description before you order to make sure you get the one you want. Chicken is also good. They have other food items too like sandwiches and pancakes. I just haven’t checked them out because I always get the banh mi — and honestly I don’t think I will. Nothing wrong on their part but the banh mi is too good and always exactly what I want.Most of the banh mi comes with mayo, pate, or both. They’re not always listed out when you’re ordering from an app. They allow modifications so just make sure you let them know somehow (either denote it or write it out in the online order text box).“

“I grew up here in the West Valley and have passed this place so many times. I have always been curious to try it since it's a shop that's been on Ventura Blvd for like 20 years. After a friend told me that this used to be her go-to lunch stop, I decided to give it a try. The parking is pretty great given its location. There's a parking structure that is fee free, and there is a side entrance to the shop so you don't have to walk all the way around back to the front street entrance. The cafe its self is has a NYC sub shop vibe to it. I enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. At my first visit, the shop owner was there helping me decide between sandwiches. The one thing that bummed me out was that they didn't have some of the items I wanted like Swiss cheese and the banana pudding. The owner stated she was out of Swiss for the day and that she hadn't made any pudding. However, I wasn't too upset cause I appreciate a restaurant that uses fresh ingredients! The sub itself, I ordered their Turkey Ham & Cheese, was pretty good! The pickles are house made and are delicious! The only things I didn't like were first, the pickle spear the comes with the sub was way too wet when she plated it with my sub. By the time I finished the first half of my sandwich, the bread of second half was soggy. Secondly, I do not like how they chop their ingredients. I prefer sliced tomatoes and onions and this place uses diced tomatoes and onions. Nevertheless, those are very minor preferences that I had. I still enjoyed the dry half of my sub and have been back a few more times since.“

“I’ve been meaning to review this place for a WHILE. The only reason I didn’t get around to it sooner is because I was always so excited to eat my sandwich that I forgot to take a picture of it. Any sandwich here will be one of if not the best sub sandwich you’ll ever have and are all elevated to the next level with their Italian dressing that you HAVE TO get extra of. The sandwich in the picture is the Pandoras Box, and it’s fantastic, but the Hula Girl, Sweet Caroline, Captain Morgan, Endless Summer or just a traditional sub (I recommend the #6) are all amazing choices you will never be disappointed by. Also all the staff are super friendly. They even recognize my dad and I whenever we go. Easily the best sandwich’s in LA.Parking: It’s parking on Ventura, so it’s sucks, but you can usually find a spot.“

“Fantastic food in a busy but fun atmosphere.We have been coming to this restaurant since it opened at this location. The food is fantastic, there is plenty of free parking in the lot behind and usually room to be seated. Friendly staff.The only downside I have noticed over the past few years is that orders can take quite a bit longer than they used to. It's not uncommon to have a 20 to 30 minute wait once food is ordered which can be a bummer with hungry kids.“

“As a first time customer, I got a simple roast beef and swiss sandwich w/ lettuce/tomato/mayo.The bread they use has a great texture and flavor, it's a good step up from Jersey Mike's or any other chain shops. The roast beef seems high quality, I'm not sure where they source it but it was very good. It's not a huge sandwich but for $13 I was happy.I also had to try the $9 a slice Eastside cheesecake and man was that delicious.It's hard to find great subs in LA but this is my new favorite spot.The only better place I found so far is Eastside Deli in downtown LA. “Mendocino was amazing! I had tried it once before at a different location but the El Segundo location was a much better experience! The staff is friendly, the line was quick, and the food was ready pretty quickly. I had the Peruvian steak sandwich and it was delicious, I want to try the chimichurri one next time. So order from app and include instructions incase your choices don't show properly.If the store makes a mistake and you inform them by review or in person they fix it. At first my order was screwed up a few times, but after that they very rarely made a mistake.Also know that if you order early AM it will be ready fast but expect stale bread. If I order afternoon the bread is better but it's the lunch rush so it might be delayed a little or the order might have a mistake because it's rushed.“

While walking down Main Street our plan was to eat and drink at as many local places as we had time for. First stop for grub was Big Mike's because they opened at 10:30am. We ordered a six inch steak and cheese with grilled onions and sweet peppers. We watched our sandwich being made and then it was delivered to the table steamy hot and fresh. The bun was the perfect "back east" Philly bun, soft and pillowy and it was loaded with tasty shaved steak and loads of gooey cheese. “I tried out the hamburger combo with the onion rings and paid almost $20 (normal beach prices). Good portion of onion rings, which were not freshly made, but still warm. The burger was a grilled patty on a plain bun--not bad, but not outstanding. I'd try the sandwiches. They do have a freestyle soda machine, so you can mix up your own flavor, which is a plus. Service is cheerful and quick, and the interior is tidy. They do serve a few beers/Truly. There are big screen TVs that I'm sure you can watch the game/fight on.Vegetarian options: They serve impossible burgers, a falafel sandwich, and a salad wrap.Parking: Street parking varies, as it's on Washington Blvd near the beach. We ordered at the counter and they delivered the finished sandwiches to our table. But the first bite of my sandwich (a Buenos Aires) told me this place is very good! Steak, grilled mushrooms, peppers, cheese and chimichurri sauce on a telera roll--absolutely delicious! It came with freshly prepared potato chips that were also very good. My friend ordered a Health Nut sandwich with a side order of French fries. She was very happy with it, but then she has been getting sandwiches delivered from The Carving Board for a long time. This is a great sandwich place! My one suggestion? Get better signage so that the drivers on busy Ventura Boulevard can see that you are there!“
