“We were visiting from out of state. They were kind enough to accommodate us to make a dish ( shrimp tacos instead of mahi-mahi) that wasn't on the menu currently.Only complaint, It was a little bit loud/ echoey We had a party of eight and it was hard to hear the far end of the table.“

“Celebrated a birthday with friends, and can't say enough about the entire experience! From Jose, the manager, who made sure that every aspect of celebration was provided! He even came to the table, as we were seated, and sprinkled birthday “sparkles” on the table! Our server, Eric, was attentive, friendly, and made the experience so enjoyable! The food was spectacular, perfectly cooked to our liking, and the presentation was beautiful. We raved about the crab cakes, stuffed shrimp and the scallops. We were even visited by the amazing executive chef, Claudia, who came by to make sure everything was perfect. She surprised us with an array of birthday desserts, that were both delicious and beautifully presented.....highly recommend the bananas foster! We wanted to try a Coachella Valley favorite- the date shake.
We came across Lappert’s and decided to give them a try.
The store has a fun vibe to it. The gentleman working was very friendly and helpful. It looks like they have a very broad and creative menu, and can make just about anything that one could imagine. My husband ordered the date shake and I opted for the small cup with 2 generous scoops.
The standard cookies and cream was probably the best version I have ever had. It appears as they make all of their ice cream themselves.
For my other scoop I tried the Navels and ganach. What I really liked was that it was an orange ice cream and not a sorbet.
It tasted like one of the boxed chocolate flavors.
I would say the real winner here was the date shake. It has a very unique flavor, but not too strong. They used date ice cream and vanilla ice cream.
I would definitely recommend Lappert’s!!“

“This was the best Peruvian food hands down made by Peruvians so the taste was authentic with authentic ingredients. My wife and I met the chef and she’s so passionate about her food and was very friendly. Think it may have been family working there every one was so polite and friendly engaged in conversation about Peru. My wife and I had the lomo saltado and I had to get the ceviche con chicharron it was absolutely delicious. We usually make stops throughout the places we visit to try the Peruvian food and this is it. The ceviche was fresh and had all the authentic ingredients it’s like if we were sitting in Peru eating. This is going to be our go to spot when visiting the area.“

“Randomly stopped in for a bite as I had a dreading 2 hour drive back home. I was hungry and cranky but as soon as I walked in, it all changed. The owner was very personable and the food was amazing, best I’ve ever had. The bread is homemade and is easily the star in the sandwich! I recommend stopping by for a bite.“

“We were looking for some tasty breakfast at lunchtime and we found this place on Google with really high reviews so we decided to give it a try. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, close at 2, fyi.

When we walked in it gave off the old school diner vibe which we like! We were greeted right away and let them know we wanted take out. We sat at the bar and chatted with them while deciding what to order. Such friendly and accommodating staff! We are staying in a hotel so they made sure to provide us with all of the condiments and things we needed to take our meal back.

I ordered the Monte Cristo and it was divine! It was our favorite out of everything because it was packed with flavor and they were these cute little mini sandwich bites we could all share. My parents got the eggs and hash browns and really enjoyed a nice, simple home cooked meal. My daughter got the grilled cheese and fries and she thought the cheese was a bit too much, but otherwise she really enjoyed it.

They also had pies in a pie display and these awesome looking cinnamon rolls. We visit the desert often and will be adding this place to our regular rotation! Family friendly, lots of food options at an affordable price and free parking! We will take it! Check it out next time you are in Palm Desert!“

“Went for my mom’s Birthday on the 8th. Super nice staff, I reserved a seat for inside but they tried to move us outside on the patio. I would’ve, if it weren’t so hot. They let us sit inside the bar which was nice. The manager (I assume) was super nice and the hostess was very welcoming.

Also whoever the bartender who was working on the 8th at 7ish is a super cool dude. Food was out very fast and delicious.“

The tempura shrimp and vegetables were perfectly fried in a light tempura batter; the yellowtail in ponzu with thinly sliced jalapeño was fresh and light and topped with delicious micro-greens; the toro, salmon belly, yellowtail belly and seared red snapper nigiri was as fresh and flavorful as can be; and the seared spicy tuna roll was topped with a delicious and light olive oil and herb sauce that I can't describes as anything other than delicious. The staff was very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, respectful and attentive. As a local, I will be back here again and again. They made us feel like we were invited into their home. “My favorite restaurant in the Coachella Valley, they maintain a calm and friendly atmosphere even during a lunch rush, the food is all of good quality and has never disappointed me. Many locals have been coming here for years and are pleasant to nod a head at. The Eggs Benedict with spinach on a crepe (potatoes provençales on the side) is my favorite order. May God bless and preserve their business and their employees.

We lived in Palm Desert for about 11 years and every time we’re back in town we make sure to come by here to grab a drink and some snacks. We love getting to see Buzz, he makes it the best place to eat!“
