“That was special... went here with my son for lunch and it was a great overall experience. Love the modern decor and the staff is super friendly and helpful... we had the combo aperizer with beef and two different kinds of pickles. The fried mushroom with peppercorn powder was right up my ally but my son wasn't a fan, too dry and mushroomy. The daicon pickle was the best I've ever had. My son had the dandan noodles which were a delicious flavor bomb and I had the pork dumplings that came in a spicy red sauce. So good I'm already looking forward to coming back for more...“

“They have a sign in front that advertises $7 chow mein, which totally got my friend. It was definitely a heaping portion still of noodles with a good Thai chili kick. I split it into two meals still (although I probably don’t eat a lot compared to a lot of people). A bit greasy and I wish there was more veg. It was savory but not overly salty.

I felt like it was missing a little bit of nuance in its sweetness but I can’t pin what was missing. There was definitely still MSG because I was thirsty after, so that’s not what it was missing.

The free bone broth is really refreshing (reminds me of sullungtang) and a good way to either start or end your meal.“

On the table . As soon as we stepped in we were greeted , which I appreciate considering many places leave u standing there awkwardly. The music level was on point , low enough to talk loud enough to appreciate. The staff is very kind , they give off family vibes . Food came out quickly and hot . “your wonton wraps were flexible and easy to shape. they hold together wonderfully when boiling, taste great and have a good mouth-feel. they are top notch. Imagine my disappointment when I tried to use your gyoza wraps; some too dry to use; many were stuck to the one next to it (NOT an easy peel). the combination of too dry and stuck-together made for a lot of torn wraps, necessitating that I patch them together using scraps of ones that didn't stay in one piece in order to finish making the gyoza. Such wildly different quality makes me wonder if I got unlucky with the gyoza wraps, or lucky with the wonton wraps.“

“We had Shrimp Scampi and Steak Pesto Cavatappi...I was snacking so I just got potstickers. Everything was very hot and flavorful. Our counter girl was very nice and helpfully accommodating. I live near here so I walk and for that reason I know the parking situation is not the restaurants fault. It's very difficult to find parking so I recommend carpooling. The broths have plenty of flavor, the meat is not thin. I recommend for parties up to 4 since the restaurant usually has people dining in. Overall I hope this restaurant survives the economy since it's worth wanting a restaurant experience.“

“YGF Malatang in Artesia is basically a choose-your-own-adventure for people whose love language is soup. You grab a bowl, go a little feral in front of the ingredient wall, and emerge with the exact spicy, slurpable masterpiece your heart desires. The selection is dangerously good, with everything from fresh greens and noodles to all the savory add-ins that make you start rationalizing a second bowl before you’ve even paid. Once it all comes together, the broth is rich, deeply flavorful, and wonderfully tingly in that classic mala way that says, “yes, your lips are numb, and yes, you’re very happy about it.” On top of that, the place is clean, bright, and efficient, so the whole experience feels less like chaos and more like a very delicious personal victory!“

They also have a decent list of items on their vegetarian section of the menu - mostly Tofu for the protein option in vegetarian but the taste is still retained be it the rice, noodles or the bunmi.

“A Yelp Elite event brought me to this cool little boutique restaurant. It has a simple, industrial style decor, with a few large garage style doors that open up and make the space feel bigger and more open.

The staff and service were good everyone was nice and friendly. We did not have a reservation and waited no more than five minutes to be seated (around 630p on a Saturday), but it quickly filled after we arrived. It seats only about 50 diners.

Food, we ordered a fresh green salad, chicken wings and duck egg rolls fir appetizers, snd Owl Fried Rice, and crab with Thai chili and basil as shareable entrees. I had a beer with my meal, and my wife had the sangria.

The kitchen flow/timing was a bit off. After our order was taken, we waited about 15 - 20 minutes before the first appetizer came out. As we worked through the appetizers, the Owl Fried Rice arrived. About halfway through the rice, I realized I never got my beer and had to ask for it (I think it was forgotten). We were nearly done with the rice and still hadn’t received the crab dish, so I asked the waitress about it. She looked surprised and said she’d check on it. About 5–10 minutes later, the crab dish finally came out. My wife's second sangria was comped due to this error.

Let's talk about the food:

Green salad – Good and fresh. Did exactly what a salad should do.

Wings – Excellent. Well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Three wings - portion was smaller than typical, as this was part of the Yelp comp. A normal app is 5 wings.

Duck egg rolls – Great flavor, but the wrapper was a little thick and dense.

Owl Fried Rice – Really good overall. The curry flavor comes through strong in a good way. My only issue was that there was just one shrimp in the whole dish. Maybe go lighter on the pineapple and add more shrimp.

Crab with Thai chili and basil – Excellent. The flavors and preparation were on point.

Despite the delays, this was still a pleasant experience. I’ll definitely return and would recommend checking this place out. If the weather’s nice, I suggest grabbing a patio seat (there are only nine).“

“The Tofu Spring Rolls are good, but lacking flavor. Me personally, I like peanut butter, but the Hoisin Sauce with Peanut Butter had a weird aftertaste. The pork chop was nice and charred, but also lacked some flavor. The vermicelli (noodles) is a nice filler. Great service, and overall nice interior, the only real problem is being crammed with space.“

“The food was delicious! My friend recommended it and we decided to eat there for lunch. Our refreshments were served in a cute mason jar. We shared chicken egg rolls for an appetizer. My friend ordered tom yum soup with shrimp and I got Thai Boat Noodle. I am definitely going to eat there again and bring my family.“

“🔥 Uber Eats order! The pho here is soo good! The broth is just so delicious and the ribeye meat is so fresh! I loved it so much! 🤤 the to-go packaging made it very convenient to eat, the ribeye was already cooked in the soup and wasn’t raw. “This is a small family own restaurant that provides very authentic Korean food. The location is a bit weird especially when you visit during the night.
At the parking lot, we hesitated and thought we might go to the wrong place. However, we love the food there. We ordered bul-nak jun-gol. The casserole is heartwarming especially eating in a winter night. The side dishes are also great. The variety combined with the octopus and bulgogi definitely gave us a nutritious and delicious meal. We will visit again when going to that area.“

“This place is an old school Korean restaurant but the food is excellent. As someone who recently moved from Koreatown LA to a gateway city, I had to find my go to Korean restaurant and I think this is one of my favorite places. We like to get the Uhndaegoo jorim (braised black cod). Some of our other favorites are the dahk gae jang, as well as the bohtsahm. The atmosphere is very modest and simple, but this is the kind of place that suits me.
