“This is not a street visible breakfast spot. You may miss it or think gps is wrong. Walking into the plaza, directions are minimal at best. The first door you think is Hash is the kitchen, keep going. Once you get there though, the service was fun, and the food was great. I had the braised beef with eggs and hash browns. Well flavored meal! Both my kids enjoyed their food too.“

“As a New Yorker, my standards for breakfast & brunch are high. I’m so glad I came here! There’s a freshness about the atmosphere and the food selection is unique and tasty.
I got the curry with bokchoi and we had fried for the table.
They had matcha, which went perfectly with the creamy-with-a-kick meal. 🥰I wish I had 2 stomachs so I didn’t have to leave a bite uneaten, but I could only get through have of this lovely meal.
Absolutely will be revisiting when I’m back in the West Coast.🫶🏾“

“This meal was the highlight of our LA trip! I don’t know what kind of sorcery is afoot here but this little spot manages to be so much more than the sum of its parts. I felt so welcomed from the moment I stepped through the door and I liked that they have you order and pay before sitting down, it makes the dining experience more relaxing and low key. Loved how short and sweet the menu was, the chef has incredible restraint and a crystal clear vision. Every single thing we had was incredible, the best hk french toast and bolo bao I have ever had, and omg the scallion roll and dumplings. I don’t know what it is about this place but I’m still thinking about that meal days later. Also, the dining room made me feel like I was in a tvb serial from the early 90s which is the highest compliment.“

“Open Market catered a wedding reception I was coordinating in October, and they were wonderful. Their restaurant is one of the bride's favorites, and they were great. The food is delicious, and I'm working on getting my husband over there soon. They couldn't have been more accommodating and flexible during the planning, and they were straight pros at the reception. As a planner, I love caterers that are easy to work with and easy for my couple's to work with, and it was a great experience for everyone.

“Matcha Village has the most delicious desserts! We tried the Green Vine Cheesecake and the Fruit Box Cake. Both were fantastic! The consistency of the matcha for the cheesecake was perfection. I wish I could explain it better, but it was amazing. Can’t wait to go back to try some drinks and the Peking deck crepe!!!“

“One of my favorite restaurants ever. The meat was seasoned so expertly and was so tender. Mussel toast was INCREDIBLE. Their sourdough was out of this world. Staff was knowledgeable and guided us in trying many interesting wines. This place was amazing!“

“Love the ever changing seasonal menu drinks. It’s the brilliant mind of the owner, Frank La, who also happens to be the US barista champion this year. Love the fall pumpkin pie latte with the vivid cream latte being my favorite staple. The flavors here tend to be more subtle but deeper, so it’s not the slap-you-in-the-face high sugar content if that’s what you’re looking for. Love Be bright! Will definitely keep on coming!“

“This is a jewel of coffee. This is a Latino style coffee that I've never tasted anywhere in Los Angeles. Move over Starbucks. Today I walked in was greeted by some of the best customer service I was astonished by the kindness. I was amazed by the variety of Latin coffee. Tres leches. Horchata, chocolate Mexicano. Mexicana mocha. The combination of favorite style Mexican flavors blended with coffee. This is a must for every Mexican-American who's a coffee drinker.“

“Was visiting from Arizona was blown away by this place. I lived in the south for 30 years and this cooking reminded me of being back there. Who knew you could get grits in LA but chicken and waffles are to die for everything‘s good. We sat outside and had lunch. It was such a beautiful day, nice owner and staff“

“Awesome place for brunch! Small restaurant. Looks like it a tight squeeze but you'll have enough space. Nicely decorated inside. Great vibe. Staff was very friendly. Really great service. The menu has a wide selection for breakfast/brunch. 7 items on the lunch menu. Recommend the chicken pesto panini ? so effin good ? good selection wine and only 2 choices of beer. There is non alcoholic drinks if you're not looking to have a good time? When signing in wait time was estimated around 45-64 min but we notice lots of people leave and were seated within 15 min. Keep in mind and don't be discouraged by the wait time when signing in. Parking can be hard as there is only street parking available. I parked 1 block over“

“In A Nutshell:
-Yagul is a Oaxacan oasis.
-I found out about this place while exploring the neighborhood & noticed a lot of people popping in/out.
-Not only that the beautiful smell of Mexican food wafted into my nostrils, so I mentally bookmarked this spot.
-Not too long later, I came in for a nice breakfast.
-The Huevos Rancheros really hit the spot.
-The portion was not too big & everything tasted fresh, especially the beans & rice.
Overall, the service is very friendly & I liked the prices too.“

“Nice vibes, convenient location with easy parking, beautiful decor. Service was lacking, but understand there is a labor shortage right now, perhaps that's to blame here. Bodega sando was perfection! Pastries were alright...most looked better than they tasted. I'd say they were good but not great.“

“Oh man. This place is fantastic. As you can see we tried a lot of food. The burritos were a big hit, as well as the tacos. But for me, the absolute must have - legendary item on this menu is the the Horchata Latte. Sweet baby Jesus it is good. Certainly top 3 for coffee drinks I’ve had in LA. It is soooooo dang good I would come back out of my way just for that latte. Man I would pay good money to know how to make a drink like that! Definitely will be back.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available too!“

“My husband and I came here for breakfast, and we were looking forward to trying espresso and croissants.
Overall, we’re very pleased with their croissant. We thought it was the best croissant we had tried while visiting LA for a short period of time.
We ordered:
2 Espresso
1 Croissant
Total: $16.14 with tips
Price-wise, it was okay. The waiting time also was decent. Great coffee and fresh, tasty, and great quality of croissant. We noticed they served everything on the go or for takeaway instead of in a proper cup or plate. Other than that, satisfied customers. Happy to recommend 🤗😀“

“Their matcha is definitely better than most if not all places in LA; the fragrance of the matcha tea flavour was nice and distinct thought not strong; still pretty creamy overall. The salted foam on the matcha spanner is delicious.
Their breakfast sliders were delicious, mostly because of the sauces and freshness.
Be prepared to wait in line 30-60+ mins on weekends, especially with the rhode collaboration happening this month. We waited just about an hour last weekend when the line ended right around the end of the block.“

“This place was busy my entire visit and for good reason. It has a really cool artisanal shop next door of jams, and unique groceries. Dining on their patio was very “LA”. It had all the trendy hipsters in their jeans and vintage sweaters for the overcast day,
Bustling with conversation, this place still provided excellent service and a delicious dish verified by their very popular Salmon Noice salad. (Probably spelled that wrong)
But it was the last thing on their very long and tempting menu. Can’t wait to come back.“

“This might be my favorite new specialty drink in the city of LA. Georgia on my mind is awesome. I wanted it to be decaf, but they don’t have decaf coffee, so they made it as an iced decaf latte and added vanilla syrup and orange dust. Absolutely delicious.“

“Faboulous baked goods, great chef in the kitchen, some unusual delightful special breakfasts + lunches, excruciatingly noisy due to bad acoustics when busy.
2025: as good as ever, good coffee + espresso, great baked goods, good breads, outside seating, the take out salads are overpriced and not that interesting, always helpful staff. too bad they close for food at 3:oo. owner Hans has a couple of local high price restaurants: Janes in the MDR. good though.“

“I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Sabor y Cultura on our interview date. Hollywood’s Sabor Y Cultura has a clear goal of wanting to bring together as many people as possible with the power of coffee, waffles, arts, and events. It’s really no wonder that Michael enjoys hosting his Outlaws Of Folk series here with its quirky color scheme, spacious floor plan, eye-catching artwork from local artists, and of course, a lovely staff that strives to make sure any patron is comfortable and having a great experience. Apart from the sheer kindness from shop owner Tyler to allow us to film Michael’s interview there, I was graced with a food and drink menu that had me torn on what exactly I wanted to order, in a good way. In the end, I just could not say ‘no’ to the sweet, fresh baked smell of waffles, and opted for a #foodporn worthy strawberry banana Belgian waffle and a dream-y sweet cloud coffee with Irish cream. Whether you’re stopping in to indulge yourself with a scrumptious (and giant!) homemade Belgian waffle with a side of caffeinated perkiness, or you’re sitting in the crowd waiting to discover your new favorite poet, musician, comedian, etc. at one of the many events hosted (check their delightful chalkboard list of events), Sabor Y Cultura is a wonderful spot for visitors from all walks of life to pop in.“

“My wife and I went to the Grove in Los Angeles last night and we had dinner at "Sogno Toscana," an it was outstanding. It was perfect in every way; great food, great drinks, outstanding and friendly staff, beautiful location, etc. I love Italian food but I can't think of one Italian restaurant that I like, until "Sogno Toscano." The food was outstanding, and there was so much more we saw go by that we can't wait to go back and try. And the drinks were outstanding. I love martini's and they served the best martini I've ever had. Giacomo was our server and took great care of us. He's from Italy and "Sogno Toscana" brought him to America when they opened their New York restaurant, and now he's in LA for this new restaurant. Although very busy, the entire staff were very fun to be around, and most of them are Italian which is also great.“

“I had the Viena latte which was delicious can't wait to try thier other drinks! Service was good and with only two baristas they were pushing out orders quick.
The taste of my drink was good coffee was nice and strong. Cream top was not sweet so it's not like a sweet cream cold foam. Presentation was beautiful but after mixed together honestly tastes like a vanilla latte albeit a very good one.
Place was packed when I arrived so if you come at peak hours beware you might not be able to find a spot.
Otherwise place has a variety of nice seating soft chairs, tables booths and bar stools. Vibes are clean and modern
Parking: The free parking in the shopping center is quite limited
Kid-friendliness: This is a place for young adults and working professionals
Wheelchair accessibility: Maybe not , it's quite cramped in here“

“I needed a place to have good coffee and work and this place was perfect. Friendly staff and they are cool with you pulling your laptop out and working. The sesame ice latte was really good and not too sweet. I also enjoyed the blueberry matcha - the mix of mild sweetness and bitterness complement each other perfectly. The almond croissant was amazing with a wonderful creamy filling. I’ll be back.“
