“Went here for a coffee and pastry. Was please to learn the owner roasts all the coffee here. Their bags of coffee seem pretty reasonable priced, maybe a bit low. But the brewed coffee I had (I think they call it Golden) did not excite me at all. It was a pretty basic cup of coffee, really. It was towards the end of the day, so the pastry I had was a bit hard. If I'm in the area again, I'd probably give it another try, though.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a handicap parking spot right in front.“

“Gelato 101 is the best gelato shop in San Diego, maybe even in the USA. When we go to have gelato there, we feel like we are in Italy. So authentic! They are very creative with their flavors and of course have the traditional flavors as well. The family that owns it is so hospitable and great customer service. My absolute favorite is getting a scoop of coffee and scoop of sea salted caramel and having them pour a shot of espresso over it!!! YUM!!! My mouth is watering as I type just thinking about it. “There are new specialty lattes and so I went with the iced blackberry vanilla latte with whole milk. I'm pretty used to blackberry lattes, I make them at home. This one was very sweet. I probably wouldn't even order this drink again, even at half sweet. This costed $6. I'll stick with my iced honey lavender lattes next time! They have a bathroom here, you have to ask for the 'key'. It's so clean and smells great inside. The woman working was soo sweet and friendly.“

“Authentic Italian Bakery! How did I miss this place?! So unassuming, hole in the wall bakery tucked in the corner of a shopping plaza. The pictures speak for themselves. Delicious and authentic. Don't come here expecting American style pastries or sandwiches. It's amazing and the quality is there! I've been to Italy, husband is from France so his expectations are always high when it's an European bakery. He loved the Italian sandwich and Italian ham especially. As for the prices, it's on par with the quality, did I hear imported Italian flour?! Yes. Italian family owned bakery where you hear them speaking Italian? Yes. “Whenever I see a mcconnells ice cream store, I've got to stop by and get me some haha. This location is very clean and offers a variety of flavors and samples. Easy access to park or sit outside. I was helped by a friendly worker who was by her self but took care of everything and there was no wait. I chose the small size but I like how I can pick two flavors. I went with earl grey lavender and my gf got strawberry & shortbread cookie. The plus side is you can get a free cone on top. Also they were giving out free cookies which was awesome! I recommend trying mcconnells“

It's really weird to me that they still don't have a GIANT sign with an arrow instructing first time visitors to go to the "Great Wall of Tablets" to place their order, because it's always confusing standing there at first waiting to order wondering why none of the employees are acknowledging your existence, but I did have one female employee who went out of her way to help me customize the box for my clients and I really appreciated it. The cookies are ALWAYS amazing, and while they are a bit pricy I would say you get what you pay for. “Solana Sumptuous falls into the top 3 cookie places in SD county for me; specifically because they make a mean oatmeal chocolate cookie (OAT-M-G). I was introduced to this place by a co-worker who brought in several dozen for us to try on a couple of occasions. Ive had a few different flavors like their Solana Beach, PB, the OG chocolate chip, sea salt caramel, churro, and the Trifecta (stuffed), but the oatmeal chocolate is still my favorite. Single cookies range from $3-$4.50 depending on which one you get, and definitely place an order ahead of time if you're getting more than a few to ensure they have what you want. The in-store service is good and there always seems to be a constant stream of people popping in for a treat.“

“My message to the business owners would be to stick to the thing you're best at (the snow ice) and really make it shine, like making a build your own snow ice special or add special things like matcha or red beans, instead of trying to stretch the menu and do things that would end up with alright results, especially for smaller kitchens. I really think that this place can still shine due to the creamy and milky perfection of the snow ice, and I see there's so much potential to cater to a gen z/tiktok geared audience. “It's huge and delicious!!! I had strawberry cheesecake and there was a lot of cheesecake on it. It is a little less chewy than Vera, but has a softer taste. The strawberry syrup is not too much or too sweet, so it harmonizes well with the vanilla flavor. But there is really no end to eating it.“

I originally found out about C's Ice Cream and Deli from my friend's dad back in 1999 and instantly fell in love with the small sandwich shop! But honestly, you just gotta make it down the list of all sandwiches. I suggest getting everything included, tomato, lettuce, oil and & vinegar with a pickle spear on the side. C's Deli is family owned and ran by a husband and wife team (Todd & Anastasia) and throughout the many years their kids helped in the shop as well and I had the pleasure to watch them all grow up to be fine adults! C's is a small shop tucked in a very small strip mall on the end of Mira Mesa Blvd. They have been there since 1989 and have made it through numerous ups and down (stock market crashes and even a pandemic) I've been going to C's Deli since my senior year in high school (1999) and sometimes daily during my college days (1999-2002) at Miramar College. I love how they greet their regulars (like myself) by name and I truly have grown to consider Todd, Anastasia and the kids.... FAMILY! My only con is since my wife and I live in fallbrook, I don't get the opportunity to go to the deli as often as I would like! But since my parents both still live in Mira Mesa, it makes for a great excuse to visit C's Deli! “Very pretty shop. Ordered and then half the order was out of stock after we had paid. Ordered a blended iced taro drink. I didn't know it had boba. I didn't want boba. The boba was hot, so the drink melted quickly. The taste was good but overall the drink was not very satisfying. The staff was friendly but lacked knowledge of the availability of product, and also didn't know what creamer was for coffee.“

“This is a great place to grab some self-serve yogurt on campus. There's almost always a club doing a fundraiser here for a discount, and a bowl here is pretty cheap! The machines are always clean and have unique flavors, and you can ask for a sample cup to try the yogurt before dispensing it. I came here with my wife and we couldn't make up our mind, everything looks so delicious. It took all of our willpower to not order more, so we were so tempted. My favorite out of the three was the salted caramel cheesecake, it had two of my favorites desserts ingredients, cheesecake and salted caramel.
