“Enjoyed our meal. 1 small bad was my not spicy soup had SOMETHING SUPER spicy in it. That took a while to recover from. Also be aware the receipt has a line for tip but the automatically include the tip in your total. They failed to tell us this which is not so cool. Still, I'd go back to try more things. The Cajun fries were amazing.“
“Don't live close any more, but I drove 140 miles to see if they are still great. Answer: yes! The way they treat you, it feels like "welcome home". Had an omelet full of New Orleans flavors. Left full and happy. 5 stars all the way!“
“I had no idea how this worked when I went, but the food tasted great. You will get your food marinated in a bag and you have to peel the food on your own. They give you a bin and gloves. Very reasonable prices and attentive service, I would come here again.“
“The food was absolutely amazing. I got the brisket po'boy and my wife got the surf'n'turf po'boy. We were greeted by Norwood and he explained everything about the menu and their service philosophy. The environment was so friendly and the food was better than anticipated. I can't believe the po'boys were only $13. You gotta try this!!“
“The shrimp with sausage was amazing the waitress convinced me to buy a margarita and it was delicious as well. The servers are so polite and nice I would 100% recommend this place can be a little bit pricey, but that’s expected with seafood but it’s worth the money.“
“Food, chef's kiss! I'm yelling cuz it's that good! Too bad I'm not a morning person, but to have some Red's breakfast, I will wake up early. We ordered Texas scramble with potatoes. Those potatoes have my heart! So good! Also ordered shrimp & grits - 100% stamp of approval. So delicious and full of flavor. Not runny but substantially good. Can't wait to try the other items on the menu.Picked up food so didn't eat inside. I suggest calling in your order because they get busy, especially during the holidays.“
“I work nearby and I’ve been craving something sweet so I picked up some banana pudding from here and it was SO GOOD! It was the perfect amount of sweetness, bananas were good and the wafers still had texture to them. If that was just the dessert, I can’t wait to come back for the food!“
“Food is so full of flavor and absolutely delicious! Combo #2 was perfect for three. We enjoyed the crab, shrimp and clams very much and the tray also came with a bit of corn, potatoes and sausage. Everything was fantastic and the service was very friendly and quick. It's a very simple, small restaurant with great food and service.“
“Went there today just before closing. Purchased oxtails with candied yams & rice and gravy. Excellent tasting, the gravy was delicious oxtails were falling off the bones and the candied yams were very good also. Did not really like the corn bread dressing. The hostess, Star was very friendly and welcoming. I'm from the Chi and recommend it highly. Price was right also.Looking for good food check Matthews at 2222 W. Rosecran out. They also have delivery. Thanks Star, MickeyParking: Many“
“Had recently visited New Orleans and needed something in the SoCal area to scratch that itch. Had the seafood gumbo and a shrimp po'boy with mac and cheese. The owner was lovely and incredibly nice. Food did take a bit of time but so worth it. The shrimp in the po'boy was well seasoned and had amazing flavor. The gumbo was phenomenal as well, packed with everything you'd expect giving you a nice warm fuzzy feeling after eating it. Mac and cheese was great too, rich in flavor. Will drive up from OC to eat here again soon.“
“This is a small place next to a small parking lot. So I was there on a rainy late Saturday afternoon and got right up to the order window. I had the fish and shrimp combo with cabbage and red beans & rice. The fish was fairly thickly and crunchy-battered cooked just right. The shrimp were quite large for a combo plate... this place isn't cheap, but they have it all down to a Cajun science. Food: 5* (Delicious to an item) Service: 5* (Delivered to my car) Looks like I'll be returning here!“
“My family and I enjoyed the food at Shrimp by You. One waitress was very nice. I ate the lobster roll and it was very tender and great savor. My parents also enjoyed eating crabs. This restaurant is very comfortable and the seafoods are also very good too.“
“This is the hoodest spot ever to go stand in a haphazard covid line for some chicken and fried rice but yes we will travel like it's 1999 to go get it!! We have had everything on the menu including accidentally eating the wrapper trying to get to the last french fry at the bottom of a Lawd help me greasy bag and I must say this place is blessed and anointed with the gift of keep it coming!!!“
“Grand opening! Great location with all the sandwich classics, plus po' boy sammies and desserts. I've tried the onion rings, cheesesteak, shrimp po' boy, turkey and cheese, and a chicken salad sandwich.I've been stopping by everytime I drive by the area!Friendly service and very fulfilling eats!“
“Atmosphere felt welcoming. Like there sauce but wish it was a thicker consistency not to watery but has great flavor.Kid-friendliness: They have a Kid Manu of choices.Wheelchair accessibility: It has a ramp sidewalk to the businesses. Has double door to open. Tables to removable chairs to make space for any disability.“
“The food is good when they have the right chef other times is like they just want to cook something fast and mess up the food like one example the kung pao chicken should be spicy but it wasn't this 3rd time that I went there also the spicy fish wasn't either and no flavor ,and I've tried those before and it was “
“First time , walked in and seated immediately. Our server Salome (?) was wonderful. Personal and helpful with the menu . Loved her French accent . Several families seated and couples, looks like a good place to go after Church? . They have a Sunday brunch till 2 pm . Too late for us ,but was glad . We ordered the lunch special $18.00 of 1/2 po boy of choice, and a gumbo /gumbalaya/ bisque . Had the grilled shrimp , good size for 1/2 sandwich and a lot of shrimp . The Bayou bisque is sooo very good !! Lots of fish, white sauce on rice . Hubby had the gumbalaya , he liked it but liked mine more ! They have their hot sauces on the table , Pepper, chipotle, raspberry and garlic sauce . The garlic hot sauce isn't that hot , very tolerable for me and adds a little spice . Loved it ! Big jars for beverages! And our server left a carafe for us to refill .I ordered dessert to go , white chocolate bread pudding with the bourbon caramel glaze on the side $12.00. it probably is HEAVEN served warm at the restaurant but I ate some it at home at room temp. Sooo good ! All the desserts are made by the owner . Will be our new go to when we visit Redondo in the future!!Parking: Has their own parking lot but since we walked up to restaurant , we didn't check it outKid-friendliness: Very casual , families were present , popular for after churchWheelchair accessibility: Easy to enter and pull up at a table“
