“Really delicious when chef is on it. Long-time customer since they opened in San Gabriel. Unfortunately inconsistent quality, understaffing make this place hit-or-miss. I rarely eat in due to understaffing - bussing & cleaning take a while. 85-90% of the time pretty good TW deli food. I go there every 1-2 months.

I esp like their sticky rice rolls fantuan, sticky rice wrapped in bamboo zongzi, turnip cakes luobogao, onion pancakes congyoubing, black sesame pastry, green onion pastry xiekehuang. Their garlic soy sauce is delish!“

“Came in hoping for brunch after a hardcore hiking and learned that breakfast wraps up at 11:45am — worth knowing. No regrets though, because I got the smash burger combo instead and it was excellent. Everything tasted freshly made, the drink came free, and the service was genuinely lovely. Only one thing bothers me was the heat… I’ll be back, and next time I’ll turn up before 11:45am.“

“We arrived within 30 minutes of closing and the hostess came outside to flag us in that they were still open. All hands on deck with happy dispositions and friendly hospitality to get our beverages and refill them consistently and our food to the table right quick.

We had omelettes and a side of links, and the omelettes came with a house-made salsa that was divine. He also had a small order of biscuits and gravy which he adored. The whole ambiance is iconic American diner. I wish I could import the whole place and team over to Germany to show my fellow countrymen what American cuisine and warmth tastes and feels like. I cannot recommend the bacon avocado omelette enough to you. Go now, 11/10“

“The Jolly Jug is one of those iconic places that can never be duplicated. The original Jolly Jug was in South El Monte in the 1930s and people came from all around to eat their famous Pastrami’s and Beef Dip sandwiches. Victor, the manager, and his staff are friendly, very attentive, and always pleasant. My husband had a few different breakfast dishes which he liked them all. I love their chicken tortillas soup. Their breakfast sandwich is an addiction along with their s’mores brownie. Everything I’ve had has been delicious and it’s a great spot to stop and fill up a box of treats to bring to a party or event. So grateful to have them in my neighborhood!“

This place been around for a while but I never know this place exist because it’s so hidden.The service is a bit slow when prepping the food, but their tacos are to die for. Helen was quick on delivery, she was willing to work with us to add variation to the lunches and her prices could not be beat. The employees we were training highly complimented all the food. I could immediately smell the truffle. I loved how savory this was. Next, I shared the BUILD A BENNY - PASTRAMI. The eggs benedict was SO good. For sides, I ordered the BEER BATTERED POTATOES & SD MAC & CHEESE. I highly recommend you put the Mac & Cheese on top of the benny, it adds another cheesy layer dimension. “The cafeteria is a standard food hall with lots of seating and tables.

The main reason I go here is because of their Cali Cob salad is phenomenal. As a person that has tried lots of high end salads at other establishments, this salad is one of the best cobs I’ve ever had.

Almost as great as Joey’s in DTLA. The vegetables are very fresh, the dressing is excellent. I love that it has a lot of chicken pieces that are delicious and egg along with bacon pieces. It’s a solid salad for the price and one of my favorite salads of all time. I highly recommend it.

“I love this bagel spot. I lived in New York for 8 years and I know a good bagel spot when I taste it. I always get the cinnamon raisin, not toasted with cream cheese and it never disappoints. I always go early and they feel freshly made. I never thought I'd like gluten free bagels but this spot delivers. If you're looking for a great bagel just walk across the street from Grand Central Market.“

“If you're looking for a good spot to eat close to the DTLA court houses, check out the Galero Grill in the Cathedral complex. A five minute walk from the court houses with good food at reasonable prices. Plus, there's a lovely patio with tables to enjoy your meal in peace (other than the Cathedral chimes on the hour). It's run by the Patina group so, although the food isn't fancy, the quality is very good.“
