“Absolutely in love with this place. Gigi and her mom have built something special here. The BEST gluten free donuts I have ever had. I’ve been gluten free for five years and have been consistently disappointed with crumbly, dry donuts. Not anymore. This place has changed the game. Their donuts are perfectly moist and amazingly flavorful. I am beaming after visiting this place. Easily my new favorite spot and I will definitely be coming back. my job gives you a free 1-topping pizza for your birthday and i said meatlovers. apparently “meatlovers is not 1 topping” so i doubled down and said “prosciutto” to which i was told “if you can find a spot that has just prosciutto, let us know”

“Modern, clean cafe with yummy Asian inspired treats. We got their chocolate mochi brownie, miso cinnamon roll, and cream bun.

All were delicious, but the mochi brownie was our favorite. The miso perfectly complements the cinnamon roll and the roll still tastes sweet. The cream bun was so soft and not too sweet.

“I have been to the 2 Little Tokyo locations and this one is definitely the winner! there’s a huge variety of pastries and things to eat for a quick bite (you might probably have to eat it standing or elsewhere during the weekends since it gets pretty packed and there’s just 3 tables!) but the steamed buns were good!, the matcha mochi wasn’t too sweet so it was perfect, the almond croissant was fine but their specialty is definitely on other pastries! will definitely come back again to try more stuff.“

“This place came to the rescue!!! The wedding cake I had made fell over on the long drive. It was a disaster!! Other bakeries near the wedding venue were already closed and others needed at least 48 hour notice… the wedding was happening NOW. I called Sonora Bakery in my final desperate attempt, explained the situation, sent them a picture of the cake and within minutes, they got to work. The cake was delicious and the wedding was saved. “The food here is pretty good. We ordered Pho, sandwich, chicken egg rolls and vermicelli. Take awhile for the food to come out but it’s worth it. Chicken egg rolls are surprisingly taste very like pork egg rolls. Recommend this place if you want to try Vietnamese food in Little Tokyo.“

The space is modern, clean, and has a cool vibe — though I still lean toward the unique Arts District atmosphere. What really stands out is the pizza: same incredible quality as DTLA. “This restaurant is MOSTLY VEGAN. A few items do have egg or dairy milk, but they are easily swapped for plant based options. This place uses fresh ingredients and makes creative dishes. I wish my tummy was big enough to eat one of everything! I got the chilaquiles and a "dirty"chai latte (dirty means it has an extra espresso shot). I can't judge the authenticity and I do wish they had a few more choices different (and healthier?) from their current selection. They do have vegetarian options, although they don't always have them in stock. The drinks also satisfy my coffee cravings.

They have free wifi, but it isn't a place to sit and work for more than a couple of hours, but they have a bathroom for customers.“

“This was my first experience here. I’ve heard a lot of good things about their cakes, and I can say it really lived up to the hype! I got Churro de chocolate and churro dulce de leche. I LOVED the chocolate one! It was amazing, and it paired really well with a cup of cold milk. Dulce de leche was so so SO sweet, that’s a reason I was about to give 4 stars. I expected a better blend of tastes for this one, maybe less sugar and sweetness from the cake since dulce de leche is sweet enough. In general, it was great and they really know how to make great cakes.“

“Hiatus= opportunity for another stop in the LAtte tour. Today’s pilgrimage finds me in Sierra Madre at Syndicate, a fantastic find nestled comfortably downtown on Sierra Madre Blvd. Plenty of street parking and a beautiful place to take a stroll if you don’t score a spot immediately out front. The vibe is instantly welcoming, decor is colorfully minimalist, that’s probably not a thing, but it’s the best descriptor I have. The baristas are friendly, skilled and true devotees to all things coffee, even willing to share some potential sites to visit on the next LAtte stop. The coffee itself is excellent, rich, flavorful and no hint of bitterness. I went with oat milk this time and it paired perfectly with the blend, rich creamy, delicious! I can wholeheartedly recommend a visit should you find yourself in the area, or even if your not- expand your horizons and make it a destination, it’s worth it.“
