“In the case of Fitoor, food was not the only expectation raised. Each course has been plated with a pixie’s touch resulting in many a dishes being considered Instagram worthy by many. The lamb biryani apart from its richness was aromatic, the chili garlic prawn’s were the highlight in that the spice was just right. For the last course we ordered the gulab jamun cheesecake which was quite ingenious in combining two flavors every one loves. The only problem though, is that it was a bit too much people and the waiting staff seemed to be a bit overstretched. Be that as it may, when one wants to have a culinary experience of Indian food that is going a notch higher than the usual, Fitoor is that place.“

“We visited Himalayan Magic Masala in San Jose for the first time with our family visiting from Canada, and we were all blown away! They said it was the best Nepali food they've had so far, and we completely agree. The butter chicken, momos, pani puri, tandoori chicken, and especially the butter naan and lacha paratha were absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. “Outstanding experience all around, and this is coming from someone who's extraordinarily picky. When it comes to flavor, freshness, quantity, quality, price, and service, they've got it down.

I came here a few times around when they first opened strictly for the buffet, which was quite good, but haven't been since as I live in a totally different part of town and the buffet had temporarily ended, which I believe was around COVID time.

Anyway, I was in the area and ordered the butter chicken and garlic naan.

The butter chicken and naan came out hotter and fresher than any other restaurant I've ever been to. Very impressive first impression.

The naan are large and THOROUGHLY buttered and topped with garlic. They're superb. I'd prefer if they were a hair softer/easier to break apart, but these are top 3 naan in the Bay without question. 9.5/10

The butter chicken is also a larger than average size portion and also incredibly fresh. The gravy has a wonderful taste and consistency, and the chicken inside is tender and also flavorful, where many restaurants don't pay much attention to the chicken, they do here. I do have other favorite butter chickens in the Bay but I'd say these guys are worthy of being in the top 5. 9/10

The service is very kind as well, and the restaurant itself is very clean, though small. I wouldn't hesitate to suggest this place to anyone and I'd order anything off the menu in full confidence. It's that good.“

“New Tandoori Cafe is an excellent restaurant with spicy food and delicious meals.

We ordered fries and non-spicy aloo paratha. When we received the order, my kids tasted the paratha and they said it was very spicy, which we had specifically asked not for. My kids can tolerate a good amount of spice, so this was clearly spicier than asked for.

Other than that, we ordered multiple meals from New Tandoori Cafe and they were all great.

I would recommend this restaurant to people who enjoy spicy foods.“
