“Had an excellent experience both in person and via catering. Quality and taste are a 11/10 for me. Received a lot of compliments from guests for the catered lunch and dinner. The catering menu has very interesting items that are not the usual kind we find around. The person who assisted with catering was patient and made the process really simple. Will recommend this place a 100%!“

“This was my first time at Green Lotus in San Jose since the one off of Bascom closed down. I was very surprised to see the exact same menu at the San Jose location versus the Bascom location. I got takeout this particular day and the stirfry I wanted they didn’t have any more of that style, but the lady said there was a similar one that was better for takeout. I forget which one she recommended but I ordered that one as well as the mango salad and the Vegetarian Pho.

Once I got to my aunts house and set up our lunches, I found out that the Pho was cold. I’m not too sure if that was due to me getting takeout or if they had not heated anything up that day. They didn’t tell me anything ahead of time so I think that’s a little odd to me. You would serve someone cold soup, even though they want to takeout at least without telling them first. Hee

Nevertheless, the mango salad, stirfry dish, and Pho all tasted delicious once everything was heated up to the right temperature! We loved our food and I am happy. This location is still around!!“

“The sides are amazing that is servers while you wait for food. One of my favorite Korean spots to go. We ordered vegetarian Bibimbap, Korean vegetable pancake, vegetarian dumplings ramen and Japchae.
The serving size is huge. pancakes and japchae is highly recommended here. I would definitely go back for it.“

“If you're looking for authentic Korean food, stop by Shin's Tofu! The interior is a bit smaller with limited seating so there can be a wait. Parking can also be limited during the busy weekends.

As for food, my go to is the tofu soup. It is comforting to eat when you just want to feed your soul and nourish your body.

Their galbi marinated short rib is also really good. Lots of flavor and good char taste to it. They have a good selection of banchan, which they will easily refill once they notice you're running low.

This is a small business and everyone there have been so nice and friendly. If you're ever craving Korean food, especially tofu soup, definitely stop by here. It's worth it!“

“Great spot for Chinese food in downtown San Jose. I've been to their Fremont location a few times, but I think this location is a bit better since the portions are bigger, and the food is a lot less oily. My personal go-to dish is the beef wrap and mapo tofu, both of which have been fresh, flavourful, and generously portioned everytime I've been here. Staff are polite and service is pretty quick. The restaurant itself is clean and can get pretty crowded during lunchtime. Overall, definitely worth going to this place.“

“Some of the best, wholesome cooked food I've had in a while. Ordered the popcorn chicken- was blwon away how moist it was. The chicken fried rice & beef pho were some of the best I've had. “TBH I was hesitant at first to eat at Acopia. As a vegan, most Mexican restaurants do not usually have options for me. Their menu is somewhat minimal and limited, so entered with few expectations or hopes that I could order anything more than a salad. However, I was pleasantly surprised! The owner came to our table and was most accommodating. I ordered a succulent nopales salad, street corn and some delicious blue corn sopes de calabasita (zucchini and flower). It was all quite tasty and I was even more surprised when she brought out some vegan mayo AND vegan cheese to top off my food with more flavor. The atmosphere is very modern and simply styled, mirroring their “chic” food menu. I found the food delicious though a bit on the bland side, but was grateful that they came through for me and my vegan diet. I left sated and happy that I could fully participate in the meal alongside my meat-eating friends. The owner was very thoughtful and really went out of her way to make sure I had plenty of choices to order. Although it was a bit pricey, I will definitely go back again. The modern ambiance, the attentive service and the fancy yet rustic food combined to make a lovely evening meal.“

Further, the dishes here are regional based (Central China). That means not many Chinese restaurants have these wonderful spices/ flavors. Highly recommended!!“

“Starting off with the aesthetics of the place, it’s really modern with a clean minimalistic style, it also has a Mumu tea bar on the side and also a sauce bar to make your own sauces for the meats. 5/5 on the place itself

The food is also great. It’s has pretty reasonable prices as you are paying for quality meat and also lots of side dishes. Really good options for the soup bases, personally I love the tom yum soup base. It has a mix of sweet and a kick of spiciness with it. Additionally I got the iced matcha here too, it comes filled to the brim, the matcha is very smooth, creamy and not too sweet or too bitter with matcha. It has a really similar taste when I went to Korea for matcha. 5/5 on food and drinks.

Customer service is great here too, staff were very attentive with service such as checking up, water refills, adding more soup, getting the bill, etc. 5/5 on the service

Overall, if you haven’t tried this place, it’s definitely one of the top places to grab some hotpot. Great service and food here.“
