“This is one of the hidden gems in bay area. I have had the most amazing thai food ever in the US. We went as a family of 7 with two kids. The staffs were really kind and the service was good. This place is also kids friendly and they customise the spice level. They have a separate vegetarian menu as well. Here’s our order :Saratoga Curry puffs - a unique starter in a thai restaurant and it was good.Roti - somes with a peanut sauce and lip smacking.Coconut milk soup - generous portion, shared by 6. The taste was top notch.Green curry and Thai panang curry - Absolutely delicious with lots of veggies and tofu.Spicy Thai basil fried rice - again, a tasty meal.Mango and sticky rice - the sticky rice was good, mango was not sweet.Overall, this is the best thai food I have had in the bay area. I would highly recommend this place as it’s family friendly as well.Vegetarian options: Veggies and Tofu“
“This is a perfect spot for foodies! There were a mix of folks on a date night and families, too. Nice open space and ambience. We were drawn by the options on their asian fusion menu. I started off with an old-fashioned with a bit of cinnamon… really good! Our teens, my husband, and I enjoyed all our dishes- bulgogi fries, spicy Brussels sprouts, scallops, hella crab spaghetti, and loco moco. The mango sticky rice was a great way to end the meal. The food was delicious and presented beautifully!Service was also super-friendly and attentive. I guess this spot is currently more known for their breakfast/brunch, so we’ll have to come back to check it out.“
“More like 3.5 for us but that bread alone is with .5 stars hahaHad the beef stew with bread so I could take home the stew.It was made with riblets that were slow cooked and very tender. The soup was good, can't say it was my favorite, but I would consider eating it again if I were there. The bread. Can we talk about this bread? My goodness the bread was fantastic. I bet someone here knows where they get it. Imo ALL Bahn Mi should be served with this bread. It had a super thin, but crisp crust all around, very crisp but thin. This is the kind of bread that delivers the crisp without slicing up your mouth like bait. The inside was fluffy and soft...superb.The Bun Cha Giao Thit Nuoung (noodles with BBQ pork and imperial rolls) came with a fair amount of meaty and tender pork, flash grilling it would really elevate the flavor because it has good flavor. The sauce could use a little more fish sauce. The purple drink is a taro drink made in house. It tastes ok but the taro which settles at the bottom is very gritty. I think they should make it into a paste before using it in a drink. Like the taro paste you get at Bambu or what is served in Vietnamese desserts.“
“My new favorite place to go in San Jose! I live an hour northeast of this place and I will gladly drive down with my family to enjoy great food here. I tried this place for the first time on Tuesday with my friend and then came back with my family and friends on Sunday. We loved it and the server was kind enough to let my family taste their ube waffle for free! Love their food and service! Thank you Duy! It was great chatting with you and learning a little bit on how you started the business. Wish you and your wife much more success. Also, wishing you can open a bigger location and possibly multiple locations in the very near future ?“
“Ordered 2 breakfast burritos through DoorDash. Best breakfast burritos I've had in the area and I've tried quite a few of them. Nice proportion of filling inside and a great size burrito-very filling. Salsa that came on the side had a nice and refreshing taste to it. Another great quality was that the burrito had no grease dripping from it. I called the restaurant later to compliment them and the owner Jenny answered-she seems like the sweetest lady and I'm definitely looking forward to trying the rest of their offerings.“
“We booked a cooking class through Classpop and had such a great time learning to cook! The place had a parking lot so parking wasn’t a problem. We loved that after the cooking class, we were giving enough time to enjoy our food and even had leftovers to bring home. 10/10 recommend! Thanks for making my partner’s birthday so memorable!“
“Nestled in the bustling streets of Sunnyvale, California, This Biryani place offers a culinary journey that tantalizes the taste buds with the rich flavors of authentic Indian biryani. The staff is courteous and attentive, ensuring that every diner feels welcomed. Service is prompt, and the waiters are knowledgeable about the menu, ready to offer recommendations tailored to your palate. The star of the show is, undoubtedly, the biryani. Each grain of rice is perfectly cooked, infused with exotic spices, and layered with tender, marinated meat. The Chicken Dum Biryani is a must-try, with its succulent pieces of chicken hidden beneath a fragrant mound of saffron-tinted rice. Vegetarians aren’t left behind, with options like the Vegetable Biryani that’s brimming with fresh veggies and paneer.“
“When decor is classic white wood and glass panel with red chairs it rings in unique ness.Huge bowlful food which is vegan and tasty adds to family dinner getogather .Take your own cutlery and water .Lick clean the disposable serving bowls .“
“First time coming to this location, had an amazing experience ?. The food portion are big and taste great!! Our waiter was cindy and she was amazing!! So welcoming and always on point! Will definitely come back to this location and would recommend to everyone!“
“Nice restaurant. The menu has all the typical dishes and more. We just tried a few things on their menu, and everything was good. The wontons in the wor wonton soup was really good. There are lots of veggies in it which I like. We also had the pan-fried pork buns. Crispy bottom. The filling was just ground pork, which was good. We just ordered a couple of vegetable items. Dry string beans and eggplant in garlic sauce. Both were great. The portion size was large, which I appreciate. Lots to take home. I will be going back.“
“Udon was delicious, beef was cooked well, sauces were yummyKid-friendliness: The setup is a little difficult for kids. It's kind of intended for one tray per person and fitting multiple bowls on a tray is a little hard, but they have plenty of high chairs and space to use them, so overall it's good.“
“YUM. Can I just say... YUM. Okay, here's the rest: I met a friend for dinner here on a weeknight around 5:30 or so & it was perfect. No people. Well, maybe one or two other tables of peoolebut in general, it was early enough to beat crowds (which there later came to be). We were seated right away & ordered using the digital ordering menu system. The place had plenty of seats with a variety of table sizes to accommodate parties of various sizes. Despite ordering digitally, their staff was still very attentive, stopping in to check on our needs often. It was very nice to have someone stay on top of my water needs. I ordered the curry beef udon sizzling plate & it was sizzelicious! Everything was nice & fresh & the meat cooked up quickly so I dove right in. The udon noodles were perfectly textured & I liked the corn which was a fun texture to add to the plate. For those who've never been, this is a place you want to visit in clothes that you don't care getting covered in the smell of oil all over. That sizzle gets all up in your clothes, your hair, your skin if you get your face in there, so don't dress to the nines if you're planning a visit (or do if you love the smell of oil, I guess. You do you.) This place is comparable to Pepper Lunch in Milpitas - love both places. Now I'm hungry.“
“I ordered takeout through Uber Eats from this place, so can't comment about the service and atmosphere of this place. I got the spicy dragon roll, gyoza and salmon teriyaki entree. The gyoza was standard and it was a slight let down because it wasn't warm, but that's completely on the Uber driver as he had to make a few deliveries on the way. The spicy dragon roll was disappointing, it wasn't spicy at all and the sushi roll's rice didn't appear spot on. The salmon teriyaki was standard and decent. However the miso soup was plain bad, too watery and lacking flavor.“
“Stopped in this place while I was down in the area. Hiking for the day. Surprisingly, it was a delicious, fast and well-serviced restaurant. Walked in to find updated decor. Multiple staff members willing and to quickly help. The food was absolutely delicious. Portion sizes are large.“
“Went on Monday evening, it was full packed. We had to wait for 15-20 mins. Worth of wait time. Food quality and taste is good. Even its Nepali restaurant I felt Indian taste. We ate kothey momos, veg chowmen and. Panner chilly. All were delicious, especially kothey momos. You must also try masala tea, it was fantastic. Service was okay as it was busy. They charge 3% for credit card payments.“
“If you have never had Cambodian food then this place is a good introduction. I walked in on a random day and it seemed a bit slow. As I sat down to look at the menu more people started to show. Servers were friendly and attentive. The restaurant was well lit. To test the authenticity I decided on two things, the beef sticks and their sour soup known as salaw machu kreoung. The food came out pretty quick. Normally the beef sticks is accompanied by a papaya slaw or pickled veggies called chrouk. The red cabbage was ok. The soup had good flavor and a hint of prahok, a must have in any Cambodian kitchen. The soup packed a lot of flavor from the tamarind and herbal paste. The fried curry leaves was a nice touch. The soup could have been more sour but that's a personal preference.“
“The star dish: black bean noodles. If a dish has me hooked on every bite, I can literally make space even on a full stomach. This dish was 'it's: savory, 'al dente' noodles. Well made and a simple dish. The Sweet and Sour Pork (Beijing Style). Is what the restaurant is well known for. The big difference with this dish is that there's no red coloring in the sauce. I like how they served the sauce on top of the pork. This prevented the meat from becoming soggy from being drenched in sauce. I was not too impressed with the garlic beef. My guess is that they used some sort of tenderizer, which threw off the texture of the meat. It was okay, but not impressive. I went on a Saturday afternoon, when the restaurant was crowded. Wait time was around 30 minutes. The restaurant is nice and clean.“
“Great little restaurant in Willow Glen. Service was very good and the food is reasonably priced. We had wor wonton soup , Chinese chicken salad and beef chow fun. The food came Out very quickly and was hot and tasty. Really enjoyed the beef chow fun. Definitely will be back to eat here again.“
“The most delicious but long-awaited pork pan-fried buns. The crispy and thin skin is covered with full of soup. Recommended! The fried cabbage tastes good, but I wish it had less oil and salt. The scallion pancakes are poppy. I won’t order them again next time?. The crab meat dumplings are okay!Credit cards are accepted, but discounts apply when paying with cash!“
“The food tastes good. I love the chicken rice. Service is ok, too . First time to order and eat. It's nice you can split chicken and tufu. It's good for the chicken broth is free with your order. So you don't need to order soup just to have a warm liquid for tummy. Happy tummy “
“Delicious rice noodle bowl arguably above and beyond many restaurants. Very fresh ingredients cooked to order. Impressed by the tenderness of the shrimp and what in Chinese we call the taste of the wok of both the shrimp and the veggies. The signature fish sauce is also a must.“
“Food is reliably very good. Used to come here all the time when we lived in Sunnyvale. Moved away and still come back every time we're in the area. Without fail we always order the eggplant tofu, and the vegetarian Kung Pao "chicken" and vegetable chow mein. All of these are exceptionally tasty. My only complaint is that the bathroom needs deep cleaning. Like seriously get some professional help cleaning the bathroom stall walls, tile floors and grout, and buy some new toilet paper holders in where broken ones are. Also update the sink faucet, clean the sink and get paper towels In addition to that "stupid' wall fan. Nobody wants to touch the door handle. Provide paper towels so we don't have to grab toilet seat covers to open the exit door. And while you're at it, put a waste basket by the door where we can throw whatever we used to open the door with. Thank you.I will still come back as the food is very good, but if the bathroom cleanliness still sucks the next time I go, that will be the last time I come back.“
“Decent spot but would recommend having few people to share the dishes with so you can try more things. They have a good selection of items to pick from. The pizza crust was very tasty but it lack fillings. Claypot was a decent size but the pork was a bit too tender. We also got the beef rolls but we didn’t enjoy it as much as it was very overcooked and had a weird texture.“
“I ate the pork set (jeongjeongsal + pork belly + seasoned pork neck)! It said it was for 2-3 people, but it was enough to feed 4 people. I was impressed because it felt like I ate it in Korea... and the price isn't that expensive.ㅡIt was so delicious that I went again the next day, and this time they also grilled kimchi next to the pork belly... It was really good.“
“We decided to try out this place on a whim and I'm so happy we did!We called in ahead of time and the entire order took less 15min. It was a Tuesday night, an hour before closing, and wasn't busy when we arrived. In fact, we were the only patrons. TAKE OUT ONLY - There are no tables inside the establishment, so don't expect a dine-in date night unless you intend to hang out in their back parking lot and eat in your car. One interesting benefit to this restaurant is that they offer you the choice to pick your vegetables! PORTIONS & PRICING - Portions are super generous! Pricing based on quality + quantity is very reasonable compared to other places across the Bay Area.SERVICE - Based on the interactions over the phone and upon pick-up, service was pretty standard. HOUSE PAD THAI ($14) - This was absolutely *chef's kiss* delicious! It was soooo flavorful, and the noodles were just perfect. Ingredients consisted of chicken (which were abundant in quantity and size), carrots, zucchini, bean sprouts, green onions, eggs, and tofu. For an additional fee you can choose other proteins. They even packed the chopped peanuts in a separate container which I really appreciated. TOM KHA SOUP ($16) - We ordered a large and the 32oz container was filled to the brim. This was also amazing! It was still piping hot when we got home and opened it. I almost burnt my lips because it was so hot. It came mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, zucchini, and onions. The flavors were very well balanced. PAD SEE EW ($14) - He ordered it with chicken and shrimp (+$2). I tried a little bit of it and I thought it was just ok. Nothing to write home about. He felt the same. Their standard ingredients consisted of eggs, onions, and carrots. The menu says it comes with broccoli too, but I don't recall seeing any in there.THAI MILK TEA ($5) - It was pretty good. It was sweet though. Like REALLY sweet, if you like that. I'm not sure if the sweetness level can be customized or if boba is offered for an additional fee as I didn't ask. If you're looking for a nice little hole-in-the-wall restaurant, this might be your spot! I'll definitely be coming back to try their other dishes.Don't forget to check-in for 20% off your order! :)“
“Went out to San Pedro square market for dinner with the family and ordered everything from the one spot. The tikka masala fries were great but their vegetable chow mein and gobi (cauliflower) Manchurian were wildly and unexpectedly amazing. There was a rich flavor and spice in the gobi Manchurian and the vegetable chow mein was packed with fresh veggies and was perfectly flavored. We will be back for sure for these dishes and are ready to further explore the menu.“
“The better Japanese street-food style udon in the area. I've had this in Japan, the noodle and beef tastes very authentic. Broth a bit different, but it's the closest you can get.Noodles are freshly made, the broth tastes refreshing, and the beef is the correct taste. Portion size is perfect and the value/price is great as well. All the sides taste very authentic and good, and value is great too.Much try if you like udon, and there is another great udon place right across it. And it's actually good food In a shopping mall? Say what?“
“Went with my kiddos for lunch here. Ordered the Miso tofu Banh Mi as that was one of only two options available. Also got the vegetarian egg roll which was okay. Came out hot but wasn't that fresh as the sandwich. Our banh mi was really good, fresh ingredients, tofu was great and quite filling too. There is no outside seating and very limited inside seating. Service was good. I loved the plants they had inside specially the fiddle leaf fig tree that was teaming with so many leaves. I would love to know the secret from the owner for that, please!!!“
“I made a reservation through Google Assist and was glad I did. This restaurant was popular & become extremely busy. The staff was very friendly from the moment we entered & throughout our entire dinner. Food arrived quickly. We ordered The Udon noodle dish with prawns, Green Curry with chicken, brown rice & a side of steamed vegetables. Everything was served hot & was very fresh. They offer several different heat levels. Ours was a perfect heat. Food was full of flavor. All dishes were nicely presented. We didn’t order appetizers but wished we had because they looked so amazing. We felt the portions were just right & reasonably priced. The curries don’t automatically come with rice which is unusual but we still feel it was priced right for the food, service & quality. This would be our “go to” restaurant if we lived there. Highly recommend!“
“Very surprised they let us make a reservation at 6:15p but the restaurant closes at 6:30p. Turned out the serving staff is great and we get the whole restaurant to ourselves but we didn't feel comfortable to stay for too long since we were keeping the staff from closing up the shop.“
“The food was exceptional. It would be a go-to for something to ease your hunger as soon as possible, as most of the orders are efficiently delivered. No doubt, as foodies, me and my family enjoyed the food overall, but what was significant was the number of vegetarian options. In Korean cuisine, there aren’t so many of them… However, at BibimBowl, we found around as many no-meat options as meaty options in each category. For people who prefer to get something with no gluten, they provide a wide range of gluten-free dishes as well.Everything, from service to food to ambience, was great. It felt welcoming, like something that would stay with you forever. Must visit!“
“Ordered the chicken pho. Very good! Lots of flavor in the broth. Fresh ingredients. Restaurant itself feels clean and bright. Marcos G was my server. Greeted with a warm smile and very attentive without being overbearing. Great lunch! Definitely be back!“
“Haven't had such fluffy buns filled with succulent and flavorful cuts of meat in a while. A friend and I tried their Braised Pork belly Buns, Shoyu Pork Buns, Shaking Beef Buns, crispy tofu buns, Angry bird bowl (off-menu), and mango lassi. Most everything was great, especially the braised pork belly and shoyu pork buns. The tender soy marinated cuts of pork really hit the spot, and I loved the ají verde sauce that came w the shoyu pork bun. The shaking beef reminded me of the sweet and savory korean bbq meats, and the crispy tofu bun had a hickory bbq flavor. I really enjoyed the angry bird bow! It's an off menu item with aromatic fried rice and spicy sautéed chicken. So good! Mango Lassi was a nice smoothie to wash it all downOur host was very kind and informative. The business is run by young chefs and they seem very honest and open to advice! Bun Me Up is located in the Tiki Pete Bar, good music and great place to chill at night.“
“I’m glad I decided to try Tommy Thai! I picked up take-out for a party of 6, and everyone had good things to say about the food. Ordering through their website was straightforward, and the dishes were ready exactly when I wanted them. I got 5 dishes (two curries, two noodle dishes, and a fried rice) and it was more than enough; the portions were flavorful and truly generous. Plenty of vegetarian options, too!“
“I ordered the #2 Salt Ramen here and it’s absolutely delicious and creamy. The broth is the best! This ramen spot is located in Mitsuwa Market. When you order they will give you a receipt with your order number. Back then, water was provided but now this spot doesn’t provide water to go along with the ramen. The Salt Ramen includes chashu, which I usually like since it’s very soft and tender. However, the chashu this time was a bit over cooked. The ramen noodles has a good texture and the broth was rich in flavors. I would highly recommend this spot!“
“This was my second time having sushiritto! I'm not a big raw fish fan so I went for the sumo crunch. Last time I ordered it, I found the tempura flakes to be too oily and heavy so I skipped them this time around. I'm glad I did. What worked: --Lots of avocado and imitation crab -- big portion -- ready quickly -- the food court idea is cool! What didn't work: -- the seaweed wrap was on the oily side, the burrito overall felt heavy -- lacked fresh elements. Adding leafy greens or more veggies would've broken up the heaviness -- no vegan options on the sushiritto menu -- very expensive! $16 for one burrito! I think it's fun to try but I don't think I'd come again unless I was really craving it. A regular sushi roll may be a better and cheaper option“
“I absolutely love the Asian-inspired cocktails at this place, especially my favorite, the lychee martini. During Christmas, they introduced some festive variations on the drinks, and they were delicious! The music is always lively, mostly playing hip-hop. The venue tends to get quite crowded, probably because it's on the smaller side. The crowd mainly consists of young Asian Americans and ABGs (if you know what I mean).“
“They seem to have finally sorted things out here. They xfered ownership awhile ago, then the plandemic so... I ordered shrimp tempura appetizer, salad, Hamachi sashimi app, and ca rolls. Everything was very good. It's back up to the quality that's kept me coming back for 30+ years. The way they bag stuff is clunky. Staples... like 5 to close a little bag lol.“
“I recently tried the strawberry mint drink at this establishment, and it was absolutely delicious! The blend of flavors was perfect, and it left me feeling refreshed and satisfied. Additionally, I was delighted to discover that they have another location on the East Coast in Atlanta, GA. This is fantastic news for me, as I often travel to the East Coast for work. Looking forward to enjoying more of their tasty offerings in Atlanta! Highly recommend trying it out!“
“Think of this as a fast food Korean place with some surprising hits. Again good ingredients make great food. Prepare for spicy if your sensitive that way. Wings are tasty (both flavors) and cooked perfectly. The pickled radishes and Kimchi coleslaw was very tasty. Looking forward to trying other special items.I ordered to go and it was packed nicely.Inside are some TVs and simple tables, good for quick lunch but I wouldn't bring a first date. Caution the floor is slippery.Parking: Lots of parking.Kid-friendliness: Yes if they can handle spicy food.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to wheel in but might need help with the door.“
“I searched something to eat on google and i founded this place. The food was amazing . Mariles gave me excellent service as soon as I entered the store, Mariam prepared the food for me and it was really delicious. Thanks for both for a great experience.“
“This place is so good. We always get the spicy tuna hand rolls and spicy tuna nachos for a quick bite - very filling. I had the Geisha roll- so yummy, which was too big so saving the other half for the next day is always the plan. Also all the sauces are the best especially the kimchichurri - perfection!! Staff friendly and helpful with the menu. The restaurant ambience is clean and calm which is a nice background to the eclectic menu! We'll always be coming back!“
“The beef pot stickers were satisfactory, but I think pork would have been a better choice. The fried wontons with spicy garlic sauce exceeded my expectations; the sauce, reminiscent of Thai chili sweet sauce, was a delightful fusion of flavors. However, the pork and shrimp boiled dumplings fell short of expectations due to tiny shrimp and inconsistent texture among the dumplings. The pork wontons with chili sauce were flavorful, though not as spicy as expected, yet still worth the price. The wonton in chicken broth was decent but unremarkable. On the other hand, the noodle dish with onion soy sauce was disappointing – too bland despite the chewy noodles.“
“Pretty solid takeout Chinese spot. I got the Lychee Shrimp Balls and Sesame Chicken with a side of White Rice. Very flavorful and cooked perfectly. The shrimp balls were tender inside and crispy outside. I like that they have water chestnuts for some extra texture. The sesame chicken was quite sweet! Tender meat. Tasted like an elevated orange chicken. I would order it again. My only complaint is the takeout packaging. It was very soggy and not sturdy. It doesn't seem to hold up with the food condensation. The boxes were falling apart at the edges from the heat.“
“The greatest onigiri (Japanese rice ball) spot of all time! I tried the spicy salmon and mackerel. I prefer the mackerel, but they’re both delicious. Even if I refrigerate a rice ball for 2 days, the rice is still soft enough to eat without reheating. Amazing!“
“Niki-niku, cook meat and shrimp at each table. Fresh and tasty. A few choices already cooked. Some salad and several veggie items. Large choice, various cuts of meat from which to choose. Small plates so fun to taste various dishes. The chicken wings are crisp and delicious. Cold air helps to mediate the heat of the grill. Glad I had a jacket. Service helpful and there when you need them.“
“Omg I went in there yesterday and my ODD was in full effect!! I have to apologize to the young lady at the counter who had to deal with me. I was definitely confusing and confused my damn self. I came in from an online order and when I arrived I ordered 3 more bowls. I didn't know what size or flavor I wanted so that was already confusing first thing, Then the girl was going be cool and charge me a soda to pay the difference for the size and flavor changes I flew off the handles cuz for some reason that computed in my mind as free soda She saw I grabbed a soda and she proceeded to charge me for two. My maths wasn't mathing and I was convinced I was to only be charged for one I'm sorry for calling you slow girly I'm the slow one Straight special ed! Bye!“
“I can't believe they added a Bibimbowl at this location. I used to go to the Sunnyvale location a few years ago but it was a drive and they're only open certain days/time so it was difficult to go sometimes when they are open. Finally was able to eat at Bibimbowl during lunch and it was just as good. During lunch, it might be difficult to sit and eat instead of grabbing to go but i highly recommend getting the Hot Stone when dining in. It keeps my food hot and I love burnt/crispy rice!! Hot Stone - I selected white rice, beef, teriyaki. Comes with veggies and a fried egg. Tofu Soup (Soon Tofu) - always a must order when coming here. Favorite two. I know it's pretty much only for lunch but sometimes I crave it around dinner time.“
“First time eating at Blurr, and it was special. As soon as my friend and I walk in we were greeted by the biggest and most beautiful smile along with "good morning"Mari was amazing. She was friendly, attentive, helpful and has the best smile ever.We ordered banh mi's and the food was good too!“
“Had a delightful Friday night indulging in fine dining with my family. The venue was cozy and pleasantly uncrowded, with excellent service. The set menu provided a worry-free experience, and I particularly enjoyed the tasty scallops and fusion flavors of the cauliflowers. Despite not being a fan of chocolate cake, I was pleasantly surprised by its deliciousness!“
