“Hiatus= opportunity for another stop in the LAtte tour. Today’s pilgrimage finds me in Sierra Madre at Syndicate, a fantastic find nestled comfortably downtown on Sierra Madre Blvd. Plenty of street parking and a beautiful place to take a stroll if you don’t score a spot immediately out front. The vibe is instantly welcoming, decor is colorfully minimalist, that’s probably not a thing, but it’s the best descriptor I have. The baristas are friendly, skilled and true devotees to all things coffee, even willing to share some potential sites to visit on the next LAtte stop. The coffee itself is excellent, rich, flavorful and no hint of bitterness. I went with oat milk this time and it paired perfectly with the blend, rich creamy, delicious! I can wholeheartedly recommend a visit should you find yourself in the area, or even if your not- expand your horizons and make it a destination, it’s worth it.“

“We had a wonderful cozy experience headlined with a delicious Turkey Cranberry Sandwich. My partner had a Chicken pesto which was scrumptious. The new owners are very courteous and took extra time to ensure we had everything we needed, even giving us a complimentary Cinnamon roll. The environment and location is as sweet of a neighborhood experience you can find in the LA area.“

“Anita’s cake is perfect in every way, even though I am not a big fan of sesame flavor cake but I have to say she has her magic way to make all ingredients blend in beautifully. This matcha sesame mousse cake is so soft and so smooth, u can taste the matcha and the sesame with the right amount of sweetness. This is the second cake I tried from her, her Earl gray cake is definitely heavenly and a must try. Her cakes are simply fantastic. Would want to try more.“

“09/11/25: The Latina staff member was very friendly and welcoming (same person I met on my last visit!) — her service attitude is excellent. The food here is always very, very delicious, and the little bunny cake was amazing with fresh ingredients.

However, I did feel disappointed with another staff member (Asian) who came across as unfriendly and gave me attitude. Since I am also Asian, I honestly don’t know if I did something wrong, but it made me uncomfortable.

Overall, the quality of the food is outstanding, and I truly enjoy coming here. I just hope the management can strengthen training for individual employees so that the service experience matches the excellent food.“

“I attended a kids' birthday party and they had the most delicious cake ever. It was chocolate with a fresh strawberry center. The chocolate cake was so moist. The icing was light and delicate. This cake was talked about with everyone. We kept saying, "it's not too sweet," which is the best compliment you can say for a cake. I wasn't the one that purchased the cake but I definitely will now after this.“

“Love the shop and the staff (owner and kids), amazing tuna sandwich in toasted croissant (was actually blown away) and got a massive box of donuts and pasties (TooGoodToGo app). Great spot and lighter donuts, not super cakey and dense, don’t feel as guilty!“

“This place is small inside so it's when there's a lot of people it's hard to get to the sweet bread. There is a pushy guy inside selling carnitas he almost shoves the meat down your throat too pushy. Bread is good and very good price their bags rip easily so take your own.“

“If this is not the best banh mi in all of Sgv and Oc, I don’t know of any place that can beat them. All cash by the way so come prepared. Their dac biet is the perfect sandwich and their daikon and carrots are light and bouncy with fresh jalapeno with the right amount of pate and butter. They have it down to perfection, nothing less. Had an open house and served it for homebuyers and they were blown away! Highly recommend! Cafe sua da is gold too, loved the shaved ice in the coffee and not too sweet. The ladies in the back are super sweet and you can buy the baguettes and freeze them, then 350 f for 6 mins in toaster or airfryer. Get the egg rolls, and pa te so is good too. My clients loved their vegetarian banh mi too!

Vegetarian options: Just get he vegetarian banh mi! Only vegetarian thing to get or just plain baguettes! It will be worth it!“

“This place came to the rescue!!! The wedding cake I had made fell over on the long drive. It was a disaster!! Other bakeries near the wedding venue were already closed and others needed at least 48 hour notice… the wedding was happening NOW. I called Sonora Bakery in my final desperate attempt, explained the situation, sent them a picture of the cake and within minutes, they got to work. The cake was delicious and the wedding was saved. Thank you Sonora Bakery…. You have a customer for life!“

No place to eat in but great for picking up and enjoying at home. If you get any tart, make sure you sneak one in after the purchase even if it’s in your car as it is really good.“

“We ordered the pecan pie for Thanksgiving. It was the best part of our meal!! I've gone through a lot of pecan pies in my life. Always disappointed that the crust doesn't have the right amount of salt to balance the sweetness or that sweet gooey stuff around the pecans is artificial tasting or the pecans don't taste right. This pie is perfect from start to finish. It's made with real butter which I can taste. The pecans seem to be just slightly roasted and there's lots of them. I'm so happy with this place. I'm ready to try their other products. We ordered online and everything worked out perfectly. There's a bit of a line out the door but you have to understand why. It's just really really good. I ♥️ Paris Bagutte! Always with delicious pastry and really good iced coffee. If I am on my cheat day, PB is my got to place.
It was my first time on this location and it was impressive. It’s located next to a luxury apartment bldg. Indoor seats were comfortable and its atmosphere was relaxing.

I ordered a Cold Brew, Strawberry croissant, Coffee Cronut and Croissant Donut. All items were great in taste and texture. I had a sugar high after eating those pastries haha! Anyways, staff (Isabela) was nice and professional and prices were reasonable and match the quality. Overall, this PB location was good and I recommend you visit.“

“Was in the area and thought I would stop by since I have been following them on Instagram. I opted to go to the bakery and get a breakfast sandwich for lunch. “Cozy boba shop that’s off the beaten path. Shares a Hong Kong milk tea with my sister here after lunch and ordered it to go. There’s a small amount of seating inside. I liked the creaminess of the drink and the boba was nice and chewy. It seems to be locally owned and I’m all about supporting small businesses. Credit cards are accepted.“

“This bakery has been around longer than I've been alive, same owners and the quality has not changed. There's a line out the door at 5am and they're usually sold out of most stuff by noon but they're constantly bringing fresh stuff out throughout the day.“

It is a great destination for both students and neighborhood clients. It has a positive energy that you feel immediately upon entering. I felt like I was going to a party. \n\nEveryone in the store says hello and gives you the opportunity to look at the selections available on their menu. The staff member I spoke with explained the options and was eager to offer free samples. I decided for this visit on the classic full size Cinnabon. It was carefully boxed and placed in a bag. I tasted the soft serve ice cream and decided it would be my next purchase on a future visit. \n\nI walked around to look at the different displays and refrigerated items available for purchase. The store is bright and cheerful. \n\nAfter a short walk home I enjoyed my Cinnabon for my evening dessert. I think this would be a great breakfast with a good cup of coffee. Great cinnamon flavor as you work your way to the middle cinnamon pastry. Fresh and tasty! \n\nCaravel Ice Cream has always been a favorite, so I look forward to my next visit to give it a try. \n\nThere is parking on the side of the building or in the back. \n\nThis is a great neighborhood for walking with a lot of boutique restaurants and stores.
