“As Packers fans, we knew we had to make a stop at Three Fat Guys. From the billboard with arrow pointing down, to the casual tasting room and lovely tasting courtyard out back, this place DELIVERED! Dusty and Joanne were awesome, and it was great to meet Tony and chat a bit about his life growing up in Sonoma, and his time in Green Bay.
The wines at Three Fat Guys are legit amazing! We loved everything we tried, and came away with 6 beautiful bottles we can't wait to enjoy.
If you want to go somewhere fun, non-fussy, drink amazing wine, and then be super close to Sonoma, this is the place! We will be back soon!“

“This was an experience of a lifetime! Definitely the best wine tasting in my life so far. Bryan was amazing - he was extremely knowledgeable about wine but also such a nice person to talk to. We also had a chance to meet the owners - Phil and one of his sons - who stopped by. The wines were delicious and the reds were super rich in flavour. They mostly focus on French varieties and do both single varietal and blends. This is a small winery and they do put their soul into it. The tasting room is located in a small house and it’s so cozy and nicely decorated. I definitely recommend this experience and can only pray it doesn’t get touristic since I want to visit it over and over again“

“Another winery recommended we visit this winery in Sonoma because of it's story, culture, and quality. Six of us did and it did not dissappoint. Jimmy did a wonderful job of sharing the family history, as well as the history of the winery. He also recommended great wines for us to sample and consider for purchase. I'm glad we availed ourselves to learning about how our Mexican brothers worked the fields, learned the business and became and expert, purchased land, started his on winery, and served two U.S. Presidents (Obama and Bush) and the California Gov (Swarzenegger). “Exquisite. We did a private tasting and tour in the morning. The first thing you notice is the absolutely stunning facility and view out over the fields with the mountainous backdrop. Every wine we tried, both red and whites, were so effervescent, lean, and crisp. Shout-out to James, our guide, who was knowledgeable, witty, and easy to converse with. If we lived nearby I would become a member.“
“We stopped at Sonoma Plaza during our wine tour with Antony from Small-Group Wine Country Tour from San Francisco with Tastings booked via Tripadvisor. Highway 12 had a red wine blend on their main web page, so we stopped for a quick tasting. The wines were good, and they got us back to our tour on time.“

“My wife and I visited the tasting room at Sonoma downtown and we were pleased with the visit. The staff is nice and they know every detail about their wine and their vineyards. They have a delicious Zinfandel and some other wines. If you want to try something different from Cab Sauv from Napa, then this is the right place“

“Peter Cellars is such a quaint little winery! Tyler was our sommelier and was hilarious, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. Peter also came out to greet us during the tasting since he lives on the grounds. His 4 golden retrievers were the cherry on top for this tasting experience. I visited as part of the Edge of the Word tour (shoutout to Anya).“

Probably because of European Italian wine, the taste is very bland, without layers, and very dry.
Except for the first glass of sparkling rose, which was okay, the rest of the red was not good.“
“What's not to love about this small tasting room down "Wine Alley" and just off the Sonoma Square? It's quiet. It's peaceful. It's friendly. And the wine is beyond this world.We had the opportunity to meet the owner, taste some delicious reds and enjoy a bit of peace as we explored Sonoma County. There's a certain otherworldly feel here with the lovely artwork, the comfortable seating and a great conversation.The cabernet was fantastic. Subtle black cherry notes that I really enjoyed. “I've been to wine region in California 3x, Texas 3x, and Virginia 2x. This is the first winery I've loved all the wine and the company Tyler provided walking us through the tasting. Literally 9 years of wine regions and finally got my first wine membership. I am so excited for these shipments going forward.
Not to mention 12/10 would pet their winery dogs during the Napa to Sonoma half each year.“

“We stumbled upon this place by complete chance and we were met with surprise after surprise. Who knew about Kamen’s history ! Maybe people do but we certainly didn’t. It was really interesting to learn about his past - starting all the way back in india in kashmir and ending at where he did - a winning screenplay writer and certainly a winning Cabernet for us! This was the best Cabernet we had in the region. Not overpowering yet so complex. Mark herold is a magician with his winemaking and Kamen himself is a magician given everything he touches turns to gold! Great stop. Andi hosted us at the tasting room and was a great story teller! We would highly recommend“
“Must stop location! Kent and Lucy both helped make our time there very enjoyable.
Lucy greeted us as soon as we walked into the property, making us feel at home while Kent, our wine educator, prepared to show us around the property.
Kent is a phenomenal story teller and just a genuinely kind human being. Hearing the history of the property through his words was a great time.
After our tour, Lucy was very hospitable and helped us get set up with a cheese board (highly recommend) and a bottle of our favorite wine from the tour.
Both of these wonderful people made our time out at the winery very enjoyable and something we will look back fondly on.“

“I’ve been a member of Cliff Lede and several Wilson wineries, all of which I love, but this has become my favorite. I think Shane is an excellent winemaker and the variety of wines is amazing. I drink mostly reds (love especially the Hermit blend and blaufrankisch as well as the cab franc) but the Albariño white is excellent as well. The virtual tastings in the past two years have also been great introductions to the wines. Highly recommend.“

“We did a Groupon for the Sampler Tasting at Roger Roessler Wines while we were in the Sonoma/Napa area. Aaron and I had a great time. Ethan was the gentleman that did our tasting. He made it such a great experience. In fact, Aaron told him I usually don’t buy wine at tastings and I ended up buying 6 bottles. If you are in the area, Groupon or not, please reserve your wine tasting here, you won’t be disappointed.“

I was particularly impressed by the Longford Reserve Pinot Noir; it was truly delicious and a highlight of our visit. The experience was made even better by Mark, who was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He walked us through the wines and made us feel right at home. “We went to 4 different wineries. This experience does not include the tasting fees; it only covers transportation and lunch. Lunch was a panini with chips and potato salad. The bread on the panini was delicious. However, having chips and tasting wine was not great. The first winery was the best in terms of picturesque views of rolling vineyards. B.R. Cohn and Mayo were my favorite stops.“

“Nicholson Ranch is a winery slightly “off the beaten” pass as you’re coming or going from Sonoma to Napa that offers Chardonnay and Pinot noir grown on their estate. Their Cabernet, which is source from Napa and is labeled under the name of the new owner. The tasting flight consists of five wine and is $50. If you buy four bottles or more they wave for tasting fee. The flight includes one Chardonnay, two Pinot Noirs,, a red blend and a Cabernet. The pinots are a bit earthy, musty, and cost around $95/bottle. These are not baby Cabernets. These are very European “Old world” style red wine. The estate is beautiful. There is a Greek church up on the hilltop built by the Nicholson family a while they own some of the land they sold of the winery. The tasting room is beautiful with a big window overlooking the hilltop and they actually play music that gives you the right ambience to just relaxing and enjoy the wine. Mike is a fantastic host and runs a fun and very educational enjoyable wine like podcast.“
