“Great spot for HK breakfast! The beef congee was perfection. Noodle soup and toast were great too. Classic menu and family local vibe. Everything came out fast. The server didn’t really speak English (and I don’t really speak Chinese) but it was totally fine just made sure to point at specifically what I wanted. Milk tea was not too sweet!!“

“For breakfast, you can choose one porridge + two kinds of food, plus a drink. There are many choices of food combinations, the portions are sufficient, and the taste is good. Unfortunately, the quality of the drinks they provide is really poor. This can be greatly improved. space. In addition, the store is clean and tidy, and the service is excellent, which is worthy of appreciation.“

“Great place to have breakfast - the amount of food for the price seems unbeatable! We went on a Tuesday, and there was plenty of seating. My group of four got Breakfast Specials A (with Beef Congee, Dark Soy Sauce Chow Mein, and Steamed Rice Noodle w/ House Special Sauce) and Breakfast Specials D with Beef Brisket Rice Noodle Roll. We had leftovers to take home.
My group really enjoyed the Steamed Rice Noodle w/ House Special Sauce. They wished the rice noodle roll would be able to absorb the beef sauce better. I enjoyed the beef congee - it's nothing special but it hits my comfort food zone.
I like how we add our own condense milk for HK Milk Tea to adjust to desired sweetness level.“

“Wow one of the strongest standing Hong Kong western restaurants in SGV! I have been to this restaurant a few times as a child and it's still going despite Great Recession and COVID pandemic! Last time I came, it brought back a lot of childhood memories and the food was still amazing! Will come back in the future!“

“Happy Morning is a hidden gem for classic Cantonese breakfast lovers. I had the beef rice noodle rolls and salted pork congee, and both were absolutely delicious—the rice rolls were soft and chewy, with tender beef and just the right amount of sauce, while the congee was smooth, savory, and deeply satisfying. The portion sizes are generous, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. The vibe is cozy and clean, with friendly staff who make you feel right at home. Whether you’re craving a traditional Hong Kong-style breakfast or a warm, simple meal, this place is a must-try!“

“It's more like a new-style morning tea. The environment is pretty good and the dishes are pretty good. The service is very good. The roasted duck on the copper plate is okay. The skin is thin and crispy. The meat is very tender. The baked rice with seafood is in white sauce and has almost no taste. It's average. The black gold quicksand buns taste like the ones I bought in the supermarket. The mangosteen beef balls are almost as delicious as the barbecued pork rice rolls with mushrooms added in them.“

“This was my first time at Wah Sing Dim Sum. I wanted a quick bite and saw this place had good reviews. And those reviews were right! I'm not a pork eater, so I was a little limited, but the Har Gow, a classic, was spot on! Well seasoned, fresh, good size/portion. The shrimp and chive dumplings, also delicious! I also got the chicken buns and shrimp rice noodle which were delicious. The only thing was the shrimp egg rolls, I think I may have gotten the wrong thing, because they looked to be filled with ground meat (not sure if it was pork) and not shrimp. But I was told they were good too!
They do have a few tables and chairs inside to eat there. But it looked like everyone was getting takeout. You just walk in, fill out a sheet with your order, pay and wait for a very short time for your food. Very quick and easy, no nonsense kinda place. Which I very much appreciated!
I will definitely be back to Wah Sing Dim Sum when I'm in the area. It was great!“

“This restaurant was recommended by my aunt. The food was great, they gave generous portions, and the price was good.
There was a promotion where they give you a free half chicken dish if you spend a certain amount of money, and we spent double that amount, so they gave us a whole chicken dish! We actually got two different half chicken dishes as our freebie, so it was nice to try different flavors.
The staff is very nice and I highly recommend this place.“

“A new store has opened here! Now it’s Cantonese food + Malatang. The rice rolls look great and taste good. The addition of chopped peanuts is interesting and the portion is not small, but the soy sauce is not very interesting. The spicy hotpot is super delicious, the soup base is very fragrant, and the ingredients are very tasty. I recommend that it be a little spicy.“

“Hole in the wall, hidden gem, mom & pop vibes! they take card!
I can't get over these egg noodles in this wonton mein! seems like most places serve it up clumped together and you need to split your chopsticks to break them apart - BUT NOT HERE. they are silky and bouncy! and the soup is nicely flavored, enhancing everything in the dish. you also get four big wontons filled with plump shrimp and pork. I also love their hainan chicken, well seasoned, and the filet mignon has a nice kick.
Nice selection of traditional asian dessert options in individual serving sides (tofu pudding with ginger syrup, "che thai", ube tofu, etc.) and they also sell their wontons/dumplings frozen + noodles in packages.
parking is available on the street!
limited seating, but a lot of folks are doing takeaway!“

“This wonton is probably the best in the Los Angeles area. It tastes really good, but the pork inside is too rough and there are chunks of fat that haven't been shredded. The shrimps are very green, and there are three or four shrimps.
The dry-fried beef he made has a first-class taste, and the pot is strong, but the beef is not very tender without the pulp. Highly recommended place to try.“

“Had breakfast at both their Rowland Heights and Diamond Bar places, and decided to give this place a try
For $11.99, you can get a bowl of porridge, a side dish (fried noodle, or steamed vermicelli), and a coffee or tea.
Porridge tastes great. The fried noodles are not hot enough. When it comes to service, I think the diamond bar place is better.“

“We eat dinner here about once a week regularly after table tennis. We love their ice lemon tea with refills and the black sesame milk tea. We like the on-choy, pork belly with preserved vegetables, squids with sour cabbage, egg plants, pan fried eggs with dry radish or bitter melon, cabocha, etc.“

“Lobster noodle special $16.99 is only available with minimum purchase $20 or more also the noodle and sides additional, $26 roasted duck has a minimum of 3 main course purchase and only available evening. The tea taste was very generic, charged my 10yrs old tea count(told me all tea count over 4yrs old), old school dim sum cart is authentic and give it a thumbs up because a lot of restaurants are no longer doing dim sum carts no more. Haven’t tried other seafood yet, but the noodle with lobster was too small and over fried, that’s what you may get for a special I guess. Total gross charge of $60-$6tax-$6tea count= $48 net with 4 dim sum flat fee of $5 plus a lobster noodle for 4 people sounds very fair. Only need to improve the food and tea quality bit more toward a higher end quality seafood restaurant with more attractive pricing.“

“This is the best rice noodle I have eaten in the United States. The ones in the Bay Area are not as delicious as this one. The crispy skin is super fragrant. The rice noodles are extremely soft but not chewy. The other noodles are either hard or broken. I will go there again before returning to the Bay Area. once“

“The place was empty so we were initially a bit doubtful. I’m glad we made the decision to stay because ALL of their dishes were delicious, not just their Hainan chicken but also their beef, wings, and even their stir fried veggies tastes like it came from much bigger restaurants.“

“This is one of our go-to places for authentic Cantonese food. We also like our special occasions celebrated here because you can secure a private banquet room for free!! I was here for my aunts 97th bday. My cousins ordered more traditional foods for the elders table. Mainly seafood dishes. The more Americanized of us got chowmein with chicken and sweet n sour chicken. The other table got noodles with seafood and cold boiled chicken, traditional for a bday celebration. . The highlight was the crispy whole piglet. Big hit for everyone. Also the shrimp with candied walnuts. And the French style filet mignon with mushrooms, always a yummy choice here. I enjoyed the sweet and sour soup. The owner was on hand to make sure all's well. The service was swift and efficient. Another great private room dining experience. It's not a fancy place but who cares ...the food is goooood. Highly recommend per usual. Dedicated parking lot is free. Credit cards accepted.“

“This is a small independent shop that only does take out. Nothing fancy.
I came on a Sunday and the parking was packed. There are other shops and a supermarket as well. People do park and go rather quickly, though.
If you spend more than $20, you won't be charged a $1 fee. They only accept mastercard and visa; otherwise, pay cash.
Dim sum items are typically under $5. They sell other items/dishes for more and also specialty drinks.
I ordered $58 worth of dim sum and tried some in the car. I was happy with my order.
If you like cheap and decent dim sum, this place is it. Customers seem to love this place. There was a long line when I was here, and they kept refilling the food trays quickly.“

“Service and atmosphere are great. Experience varies with the food you ordered. Last time we came we got lamb stew and crispy egg tofu and mushroom stir fry, they were amazing! Highly recommend. This time we got steamed cod and egg/shrimp chow fun, the cod tastes bland and like rubber. Do not recommend. Shrimp was pretty tender, tastes good.“

“We had a large party dining here and they were very accommodating for such a large crowd. The service was fine and the dishes were excellent. Unlike other Chinese food restaurants that taste as though the same sauce is used on all of the dishes, Here the sauces were varied and delicious. The portions were large and everyone enjoyed their meal. I never saw the final bill so I can't comment on bang for your buck.
Will go back again without reservation

“Young chow fried rice is disappointing. It can only be labeled as young chow style FR or shrimp and char siu FR. It is missing lots of key ingredients like sea cucumbers, mushrooms, green peas, and scallops. However, what they lacked in FR has been made up in reverse osmosis ice water. No tab water served here.“

“Good Place/ Stupid Security Guard!!!!
PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE STUPID SECURITY GUARD THAT IS RUDE BEYOND WORDS. He scared away so many customers. He was just rude!! Restaurant is great!!! I was told the landlord is worse!! I don’t want retaliation so I won’t post details. But, the restaurant is great. The security guard hassled us despite not having a Handicap parking or trash can on site. He used scared tactics that he’d arrest us with our elderly handicapped parents in the car. He should not be working there, actually not any where else either for that matter!!!“

“Great dimsum place! Instead of the typical dimsum carts going around, you order your dimsum items off a menu and give the order sheet to the server. No need to keep an eye out on when that specific dimsum cart is approaching your table! Very good system here. There are still servers that hold trays of dimsum items but mostly just dessert items. Friendly and attentive staff. Easy free parking lot. Reasonable prices. Nothing really to complain about here.“

“Super awesome to see, South El Monte has so much Asian foods and they are all delicious. A lot of people in South El Monte love Chinese, Vietnamese, and Japanese cultures and so the businesses in the area thrive. I also enjoy getting Korean BBQ meats in the South El Monte City or a nice hot meal at the Daikokuya Japanese Ramen place on Garvey. I noticed that a lot of people in Korean Town over in Los Angeles were starting to purchase up commercial real estate and launch businesses in South El Monte. In a recent merger and acquisition of a major grocery store business chain in South El Monte, it had become Korean owned as well and started to add many awesome products such as canned boba drinks. South El Monte is one of the most vibrant, diverse, and sweet pockets of hidden gem Asian foods in California and the San Gabriel Valley. When I go to school on the East Coast, I really miss it.“
