“Great food! Love the menu and it serves everyone in the family well. Has everything in a healthy meal, meat and vegetables. But not much of the veggies so it would be something to improve. The people working there are nice I have never seen any rudeness toward my family it is a great place if u are looking for a quick and healthy meal.“
“The culinary expedition to 'Smoked Heaven' was nothing short of spectacular. Each bite of the tender, slow-smoked brisket melted in my mouth, releasing a symphony of flavors that were both complex and comforting. The smoky aroma, infused with a subtle hint of hickory, enveloped the meat, enhancing its juiciness and depth of flavor. The accompanying homemade BBQ sauce, with its perfect balance of tangy and sweet, complemented the brisket beautifully, elevating the dish to new heights. The sides, particularly the creamy coleslaw and savory baked beans, were delightful, offering a refreshing contrast to the rich, smoky meat. 'Smoked Heaven' not only delivers on its promise of authentic BBQ excellence but also excels in creating an unforgettable dining experience that leaves you craving more.“
“The four of us went here tonight for dinner. We were 25 minutes late but they seated us anyway. The parking lot looked pretty full but we managed to grab a spot. They had all our favorite Hot pot. Ingredients: shrimp paste, veggies, assorted tofu, a ginormous lamb and beef platter ring, etc. we really like the house special bone broth, but the spicy special House broth was pretty spicy.Service was really fast and efficient.Vibe was pretty young with club music playing in the background. We got a basket of deep fried pork which was apparently recommended but I was so full. I could hardly eat more than a few pieces.Overall great price would come here again.p“
“Delicious and vegetarian, what a great find! To top it off, service was incredible and so refreshing to have wonderful customer service. There was a bit of mix-up with my order but she sorted it out and they were both was quite friendly. I got the veggie duck and the black pepper chicken chow mein. Serving size and prices, no complaints at all. I had leftovers for another meal or two. Delicious and flavorful no doubt! Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed.“
“Such delicious chinese food we couldn’t even believe. I brought my parents who were in town from Florida and my dad loves chinese food. After dinner he asked if we can come back the next day. Everything was so so good we were in shock. Will 100% come “
“We are big fans of Home Eat. Takeout here is consistently good as they have their own deli area of take away dishes but you can also dine in. When we dined there, we got the lamb hot pot which was nice to share. The highlights are the fried chicken wings which are so tasty. We haven't had any bad dishes here and they usually have affordable specials per month. They also give some freebie dessert sesame balls which was a nice touch. A solid Chinese place if you're looking for consistently fair priced & good food.“
“Interesting Chinese restaurant. Been there twice. A large selection of dishes - some very tasty, some for everyone. The portions are large (as was noted, many take two dishes for three), the price category is average, the staff is wonderful - friendly and helpful. The restaurant is quite clean. The only thing that didn't please me was the toilet. I wish it was cleaner there. You can take food to go. I was pleased that they thoughtfully provided you with napkins, cutlery, and even fortune cookies.“
“Good hunan food. It's located in a small shopping center where parking may be limited. I ordered Garlic Lettuce, and Hunan Style Sautéed Pork. Both are very good but a little oily. I especially like the crunchy texture of the Garlic Lettuce! Yummy! Service is laid back. We ordered everything and paid the meal on our phone via a QR code. Very casual quick dining.“
“Bang for your buck experience here at Veggie Garden.?Food is awesome,?Serving is HUMONGOUS,?Prices are reasonable?Servers are quick and attentiveDefinitely all ✔️✔️✔️I had the Mapo Tofu lunch special, it comes with noodles and rice. I could not resist the Thai Iced Tea. Will definitely come back for more.“
“If you're looking for a good takeout style Chinese restaurant, this place is the spot! The food is really good and the portions are really large! Unlike other sit down restaurants the food comes out in a timely manner and despite how busy it is, the waiters come around and serve everyone. The only downside, I would say, is the size of the restaurant. The place is small and so bringing a large party (larger than 6) is probably a no go. Although their takeout is also a really good option!“
“I ate 5 days in a row...The portions are generous, and each bowl comes with plenty of soup, noodles, and ingredients.I have tasted spicy, sour and clear soups of handmade wontons.I am very satisfied with every dish. The hot and sour taste is spicy, the spicy taste is spicy, and the clear soup is also sweet like clear soup (very suitable for children and those who don’t eat spicy food)I order the spicy beef every time, the meat is fresh and delicious. In comparison, the spicy beef in some Sichuan restaurants is not fresh enough.Soup noodle soup is very suitable for rainy days and winter to warm the stomach. After eating ramen like in a Korean drama, I ate ramen in a small shed, put on my coat, went out to welcome the first snow, exhaled the white smoke, felt warm all over, and went home contentedly holding hands.“
“Visit time stamp: Monday, 032524 at approximately 1230. As we rolled up there was a small line just out the door. This establishment offers take-out only. It's tiny; don't expect a red carpet. Everyone is standing. You order from right to left (you'll see). The base platter starts with either chowmein or fried rice or half & half. From there you can order 1, 2, or three add-ons. Right off the bat, the chowmein base was huge already and I mean humongous. The grub here is deeeelish with gut busting portions. Their food is hot, freshly prepared and is served up by three very efficient women who understand English better than me. They are paying attention and go out of their way to fill the white styrofoam 3-course container, leaving you to think, '...there goes my diet.' On the side (not part of the lunch deal) I ordered 6 pot stickers that were moist, golf ball sized and very delish. Additionally, I ordered a couple of BBQ pork steaks that were wonderful. What a feast. Staff efficiently bags everything so your drive back to the office doesn't end up in a disaster. I highly recommend this establishment. I cannot imagine any other restaurant matching Rickshaw Corner in portions , price or tastiness of food...I'm not kidding you, those pot stickers are the size of golf balls. Cheers.“
“Found this gem in downtown mountainview, craving for hand pulled noodles. I was surprised with the al dente texture of the noodles in broth and over sauce mixture. The spicy beef noodle soup was tasty. The broth was clean and little with subtle spiciness. The sliced beef is not as tender as I would have liked. It was more chewy than tender. I really enjoyed the braised rib noodle dish- the flavor with the fresh veggies was good and the noodles was cooked perfectly. Definitely order the dumplings! We also order the pork and cabbage pie- it was a big flat version of a fried dumpling. I really enjoyed it! The service was good, the staff were friendly and attentive! They also took our orders at the table.“
“Today was my first visit here for hot pot, highly recommended by a friend, and it truly lived up to the hype. The taste is authentically that of a Chongqing hot pot, with richly flavored beef tallow and a medium spice level that packs a punch. The tomato broth was also exquisitely fresh. We ordered the American Wagyu, which had great marbling and tasted fantastic. I especially want to highlight the tripe platter, which includes a variety of tripe for a satisfying feast, as well as the cured sausage, which was delicious in the spicy broth. Overall, it was a very satisfying dinner experience.“
“As soon as I stepped into the restaurant, the manager, Stacey, noticed it was my first time there without a reservation. She asked if my lunch was business-related, seeing me carrying a laptop. I confirmed it was quite important. Despite the busy lunch hours on a Sunday, she promptly found me a table within a minute. Stacey's professionalism and hospitality surpassed the ordinary; it was truly extraordinary! The food and ambiance were also fantastic! Overall, it was a fantastic experience—one of the most memorable moments in my life. Thank you very much, Stacey!“
“Very nice service and interior. I liked the food a lot, which was high quality and had delicious authentic flavors. I recommend the chicken samsa and the yogurt dessert. The chicken noodle was delicious as well. I will return soon because it was a good meal.“
“Ox 9 is a classic chinese noodle restaurant that serves all types of noodles from soup based, to stir fried, with a variety of thin, thick, round, up to 6 different choices. The servers are pretty attentive and will always refill your water without asking and the food comes out pretty fast. Menu’s are via scanning from a QR code and is easy to order online. But you pay in person instead of doing it via onlinezPlenty of seats but there might be a wait at high times.Parking lot is also kinda small but the lot next door/ residential down the street has availability as a last resort.Would recommend if you need a noodle fix!“
“Mumu always hits the spot! This was our first time at the Foster City location. We normally patronize the Pleasanton location, but as we were coming from SFO, we thought we’d try this location.First off, they have outdoor hot pot tables available; we didn’t do it this time, but next time for sure! The restaurant staff is great here, very friendly and go above & beyond… there’s also ample parking available too.The veggies and meat are all fresh and fantastic and the sauce bar is loaded. We’ll definitely be back!“
“Was looking for a new place to try with a friend today and stumbled upon Prime BBQ. Really nice joint in a quiet part of San Mateo, with some surprisingly tasty skewers at fair prices! Design of the restaurant is nice, and presentation of the food was great. My friend really liked the Chicken skewers, but I personally loved the lamb and beef skewers!! They also have proper bar inside for those who drink :) Would recommend checking out and having a fun night out“
“Bustling Chinese restaurant that is very popular with locals. Not a lot of tables, so it fills up fast. Small parking lot makes it different to find a spot. Expected more from the food, as everything was a bit sweeter than expected. Fast and friendly service.“
“I think this place is very nice and welcoming. The food was amazing as well. There is nothing I would say is bad about this place. My mom brought me here as like a mother daughter date and I think it was a great choice. I see a lot of families eating here and celebrating. The service was great.Kid-friendliness: There are many kids that I have seen here.“
“The portions are small and the prices are high. Yet the tables are full and the wait list is long. Don't be fooled by Ping's unassuming presence, they have multiple locations including 2 in Fremont. I have been to all of them and they all slap. We usually order their Spicy Frog Legs, beef, boiled fish, fried chicken or pork belly dishes. Their Mapo Dofu makes me sweat bullets in the best of ways. I can't think of anything more satisfying on a cold rainy night. Intensely spicy with superior flavor. Truly the gold standard of Hunan cooking in the Bay Area. I give this place 5 stars because I make a 30 minute drive every week just to get to go from here.“
“It is a good thing when you walk in and there is a sign telling you that they are the ones who know what they are doing, and you should not expect them to allow you to mess it up. Good old fashioned institutional superiority over individualism. Then they back it up with excellent food.“
“Inexpensive restaurant with a great variety of dishes. Don't if the dishes were not as tasty, but they also were plentiful. We will go back to sample other dishes. I did not care for the seafood noodle soup. Fried rice and chow mein were tasty. The salt and pepper bean cake was missing the salt.“
“Tastes good at a decent price point. Eggplant and fish with pickled vegetables taste fantastic. One of my favorite Chinese restaurants. And they would actually honor your request to make food not spicy, unlike a lot of other restaurants.Dietary restrictions: They can make spicy dishes completely not spicy. Which is very important for people with capsaicin sensitivity like me.“
“To be honest it's a bit uncomfortable to navigate if you don't know Chinese (yes I know "Chinese" isnt just one singular spoken language) BUT I'll go through a million more awkward pointing and asking for misheard directions over the noise of dinner rush for the garlic eggplant and the mustard green stir fry. Which was described as bitter but I don't know why because it really isn't. King of edible leaves his majesty the mustard green.“
“The food tastes good. I love the chicken rice. Service is ok, too . First time to order and eat. It's nice you can split chicken and tufu. It's good for the chicken broth is free with your order. So you don't need to order soup just to have a warm liquid for tummy. Happy tummy “
“Vegetarian options: I LOVE to eat vegetables. I’ve never had any problems ordering MANY delicious vegetables dishes there!Parking: I’ve never had any problems finding a parking spot whenever I got to this restaurant, In fact, I could always find a parking spot very close to the entrance of the restaurant, in a handicap-parking space.Wheelchair accessibility: I’m handicapped with a walker or wheelchair whenever I go out of my house. This restaurant is 100% wheelchair/walker accessible for their customers.“
“From the service, to wait time, to food. This place is top notch. Best dumplings I’ve had in the Bay Area and yes I have tried a lot. I’m not getting paid for this review although I wish I was. Really good dumplings, try them out and get the chili “
“Dont miss a visit here. Lovely food with ample very fresh veggies and condiments. We enjoyed giant prawns with kung pao sauce, beef pho and teriyaki chicken (low sodium option is flavorful with a delicate sauce). All wonderful and plenty left to take home. We lunched at the patio cafe tables under umbrellas. Proprietor was fun and engaging too.“
“Food is reliably very good. Used to come here all the time when we lived in Sunnyvale. Moved away and still come back every time we're in the area. Without fail we always order the eggplant tofu, and the vegetarian Kung Pao "chicken" and vegetable chow mein. All of these are exceptionally tasty. My only complaint is that the bathroom needs deep cleaning. Like seriously get some professional help cleaning the bathroom stall walls, tile floors and grout, and buy some new toilet paper holders in where broken ones are. Also update the sink faucet, clean the sink and get paper towels In addition to that "stupid' wall fan. Nobody wants to touch the door handle. Provide paper towels so we don't have to grab toilet seat covers to open the exit door. And while you're at it, put a waste basket by the door where we can throw whatever we used to open the door with. Thank you.I will still come back as the food is very good, but if the bathroom cleanliness still sucks the next time I go, that will be the last time I come back.“
“Amazing cutting skills were demonstrated and exhibited here tonight. Ordered deep fried squid. What we got was the extra fat deep fried batter. The squid was cut as thin as (actually thinner than) bamboo chopsticks, just like angel hair spaghetti. Enjoyed batter. Really good batter. Excellent batter. $14 batter. The string squid was used just to hold deep fried batter together. Nobody ever thought of this unique cooking technique. New invention in the Chinese culinary world. I highly recommend this restaurant BOTH to the culinary cutting skill lovers AND to the deep fried batter lovers. What a hidden gem in the Bay Area. I'm speechless. I will definitely come back again.“
“Food was soo good and comforting. We got the old pot sauerkraut fish soup and coconut lava balls. Both were super yummy and fulfilling and a really good portion size. I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised by the coconut lava balls - crispy on the outside and warm and lightly sweet on the inside side, with tapioca in the filling as well. It was really well balanced so it didn't feel heavy even though it was lightly fried. Will definitely be one of my go to desserts. Service was efficient and friendly. But don't expect anything too attentive as it gets pretty busy and they have a lot of customers to serve. Ambiance was a bustling, family-friendly environment. You can tell that they get a lot of regulars and people come here to eat good food. A bit of a hidden gem. Parking - there is a small parking lot but it can get filled up pretty quickly. I circled around and was lucky enough to catch someone leaving and take their spot, but can be a bit of a struggle.“
“Great little place for Taiwanese food in Palo Alto. Service was great and atmosphere is simple, but fine. Best, however, is the food. I had the Taiwanese sausage fried rice, which was quite solid, and the Salt & Pepper pork chops, which were amazing! The best I've had outside of China. Prices are reasonable as well and they have those jumbo bottles of Taiwan beer. Glad I tried this place.“
“The noodle soup is the standout dish at Noodle Talk with big portions at reasonable prices. The extra noodle serving for only $2 gives you a giant bowl of additional noodles in broth which I highly recommend for sharing purposes. We also ordered the fish hotpot and I wasn't as impressed, the fish had a strong fishy flavor which I didn't enjoy as much but they did add a little bit of spice to balance it out.“
“Great Taiwanese dim sum location, very delicious.Beef noodle soup ? - the handmade noodles were bouncy (in a good way) and the meat was tender. I liked the bits of tendon on the end.The XLB (A1 and A13) were great.Fairly large seating area, a variety of table sizes. I prefer the tables since the booths didn't look very comfortable. It was like sitting against the wall at 90 degrees (tho not everyone leans back).“
“You know it's authentic with the Chinese broadcast on TV, pictures of the dishes printed out on the walls, and menu in Mandarin. I loved being able to see the dumplings being made in the back. Excellent 水饺 and 小笼包, tasted like China!“
“These people are ALWAYS friendly and professional. When they recognize a repeat customer in person or over the phone, they are polite, and they get your order RIGHT!The salt and pepper fish is excellent! Thank you for your professional attitude and for such wonderful service.“
“Pretty solid, interesting experience where you pick whatever ingredients you want and then are charged by the weight. Lends itself to some second guessing if you think you're getting your money's worth though, since you might forego some ingredients if you think it's not worth it.Got the mushroom soup base, it was a little salty but went well with the ingredients. The self serve sauce bar also lets you make up for any missing flavors. Also it's gets pretty busy around lunch so be sure to check in on yelp wait-list in advance.“
“New review from coming back the next day: I ordered the sampan porridge ($12) which was way more interesting. It's initially just a big bowl of meh white portide. You can throw in some green onions and crushed nuts or garlic (idk) which really level up the porridge flavors. The fun part is searching for the white fish, shrimp, squid, etc in the bowl. It's a big bowl with lots of hidden goodies that I wasn't able to finish on my own. It tasted great and it was a little fishing adventure.Original review:I had the beef brisket rice noodle roll for about $10. I never had a rice noodle roll before, it's like one big lump of noodle. The meat was great chewy and completely enveloped in a lot of sauce which was yummy. The dish came with a hot tea which was a nice touch. This is a preliminary four star review because I think this place is a side dish away from being a five star for me. I am definitely coming back to explore more of the menu.“
“Happy Lamb Hot Pot is always a great experience, and this location is no exception!Great broth options and fresh meat cuts! Great sauce bar( comes with an additional cost)Go with your friends and enjoy the hot pot! After that walk outside in the closed street to experience great selections of cafe and dessert places!“
“If I could give this place six stars, I would! My experience at Noodle Talk was nothing short of exceptional. Their dishes are exceptional – perfectly cooked and bursting with authentic flavors. The menu offers a variety of options, and the rice noodles are a must-try. Cooked to perfection, each strand had the ideal texture, neither too soft nor too chewy. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff make dining here a delight. If you're craving delicious Chinese rice noodles, this is the place to be!“
“Pretty prompt service in seating & taking orders. Our food was tasty & flavorful, add the ginger scallion in oil to the bowl of noodles & it elevates the taste. The chilli oil is lethal - almost choke on it going down the wrong way. ?“
“My family and I have been going to this noodle restaurant for almost 5 years. The food has always been great, and the quality has never changed. My kids love the braised beef noodle soup and the fried peanut appetizer. The noodles are very chewy and pleasant to eat, and the soup is always flavorful and not too salty. The food is also priced very reasonably. Although, they only accept cash, but I don't find that too much of an issue because there is a Walgreens close by with an ATM. Overall, highly recommend.Kid-friendliness: The staff are very nice and friendly to kids, and there are many menu options that are not spicy and great for kids.“
“Crouching Tiger was my top restaurant for takeout food for 5 weeks when I was visiting the area. I can't understate how much I loved their delicious hot and sour soup, but every single one of their many dishes that I tried was excellent! I particularly liked how the chicken-based meals had the perfect amount of breading, sauce, and flavor.“
“Dining at the restaurant was a delightful experience! Their grilled fish is simply exquisite, with a crispy and flavorful fried exterior, complemented by a variety of delicious accompanying side dishes and fragrant pork kidney flowers. Highly recommended for those who enjoy Sichuan cuisine.“
“We visited this place during Christmas, and it was super crowded! We waited about 30 minutes for the food, which was hot and enjoyable. However, the food is a bit pricey for its taste and quality. On the positive side, the servers were friendly.“
“We got the Chocolate Xiao Long Bao 6 pieces for $9.99. The taste was good, but it costs way too much for the amount of food we are getting. $1.67 per dumpling! I would be happy to give 5 stars if they lower the price. The environment/decor also isn't all that special. So I am not sure how they are justifying the price.“
“At noon, I ordered a piece of boiled fish and stir-fried kidneys. Because I was in a hurry, I called my boss to help him fry it first. When we arrived, the dishes were all neatly placed on the table. Moreover, it tastes delicious and the beef is very tender! Good review!“
“A great BYO Asian bowl spot on Stanford campus! The place is pretty popular with students, so there tends to be a line around lunchtime. Bowls are around $12, all meats are the same price. There is no seating inside, just grab and go, but there are some nice seating areas right outside.I had a salad bowl with half tocino and half panko chicken. Loved the texture and flavor of both meats, and the variety and amount of vegetables I got in my bowl. The tocino pork had a great sweet and savory flavor and the panko chicken was crispy and tender.Topped it off with the sriracha mayo sauce.Would definitely return to try their other protein options!“
