“THIS was sooooo good! came here during a summer event and me and friends were walking around campus before a presentation when we spotted this place slightly hidden from others. we went inside and while ordering we got to talk to the lovely staff (a few of whom were stanford students) and they told us about working in the area etc. nice place with even nicer food“

“As a life long supporter of orange chicken , and a staff at the university, I had to check this location out. And after reading some of the negative reviews, I was intrigued and felt compelled to dispel or see what the hype is about. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a hello, can I help you by a friendly gentleman. I ordered my usual orange chicken and chow mein, then paid. The entire process was cordial and I expected no more nor less from a panda experience. In fact, juxtaposed with the negative reviews, it seemed like a quite pleasant experience and I will totally be returning for my future combo plates. 5/5, don’t listen to the negative reviews.“

“The high reviews caught my eye. One thing to note is that the food though delicious was a bit too salty. We ordered like 7 dishes to share with 7 people family style but half of the dishes were just way too salty, even for my tastes when I personally enjoy heavily-salted foods. It could be a one-off but I also submitted this review for the free desserts (which is very nice and not too sweet).

Aside from that I would definitely give this restaurant a try again in the future if I hear that their salt levels were better balanced and accounted for.“

ONLY get dishes from the weekly specials else it is too expensive. The pork bone soup is good, more spices than the old location. Get ready to use your hands. Beef roll has actually good beef, sometimes other places is just unseasoned fat.

“I had never been to a noodle house but my son brought me here. I was pleasantly surprised by his noodle dish. I've never been a at noodle fan but the noodles were so flavorful. I couldn't put my finger on it but it was so good!! Not too spicy, perfect blend of spices. I had the beef chow mein and it was absolutely perfect if you are craving chow mein. We are every last bit of everything.“

“We went to the San Jose location a few years ago, so we were really happy to see them expand to the Mountain View area! The place was packed on a Wednesday night, but everything was still well organized and the food came out surprisingly quickly.

Overall, we had a great experience. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious, but the rice pilaf with lamb shank, stewed mutton soup, and Amina yogurt with almond were the highlights for me. The portions were great and very satisfying.

Service was amazing as well. We’ll absolutely be back for more!“

“Ok. If you're looking for fine dining, iDumplings is not for you, full stop. BUT if you're looking for a hole in a wall, great quality food, friendly staff, and located at downtown Redwood City, this place is for you. I need to come here more often. It's so yummy, they make the wrappers from scratch for the dumplings, the dishes are not overly greasy (which I like ALOT), and it's affordable. Give me a place like this any day. “We have not been here in many years. What a pleasant surprise they still deliver the same great quality food and service. And now, they have outside seating too. They still have the traditional carts roaming around the dining room with delicious choices. We liked that the classic dimsum fare was still being served and they do not scrimp on portions, unlike many dimsum places in Millbrae and Daly City. The shu mai was juicy and large, as were the shiu bao. The tofu skin wrap had a lot of filling instead of several layers of tofu skin. The ham suy ko was plump and crisp on the outside but chewing on the inside with a good amount of filling. We came for a late lunch but they were still full. Their service was friendly but brisk and efficient. The place was clean and pleasant. We will be back!“

“As a northern Chinese person, I don’t think there’s ever a limit to how much I love steamed buns and other fermented-dough dishes! I’ve been searching for good, authentic baozi in the Bay Area for a long time, and I’m so happy I finally found this place.

Seeing so many different kinds of buns to choose from made me incredibly happy, and they even had my favorite tofu buns! My only little disappointment was that they didn’t have fried chili peppers, only chili oil. If making them is too much trouble, can I bring my own next time? Haha!

Everything was delicious, and the service was so warm and welcoming. Thank you for putting so much care into making your food. I’ll definitely recommend this place to everyone I know and will be coming back again! ❤️“

“has your typical chinese-american items like beef broccoli but also some more unique fusion-style dishes. the pineapple bun sandwiches caught my eye & the tingly spicy was a creative take on a spicy chicken sandwich with chinese ingredients. the fries were crispy & well-seasoned but too oily for my liking. the meal was good, although i’d imagine their other stuff is more impressive.“

“Has been the dumpling spot for us going on two years now. We come here about one a month-ish but LOVE this place. One time my boyfriend and I ate 50 soup dumplings between the two of us. It was amazing.
Another time, we were coming back from half Moon Bay and decided to give the frozen dumplings a try. The guy who’s always there (don’t know his name sorry!) gave us directions on how to do it and even gave us some paper to line the pan with so they wouldn’t stick. We super enjoyed them at home! On our visit to go pick up the frozen dumplings, we met a man there who says that he’s from Napa and stops by whenever he’s in the area. (Wow!)

Our faves are: Pork Soup dumplings, Pork chive, and Chicken Corn dumplings 🥟

“A good Chinese restaurant with above average food. We tried the cabbage and pork boiled dumplings, the steamed pork soup dumplings, and the pan fried pork soup dumplings. The pan fried soup dumplings were the best – good flavor, crispy bottoms, and juicy soup inside. The boiled dumplings were only okay. I thought the pork filling for the boiled dumplings was a bit musky, and I found a piece of gristle in one dumpling. The steamed pork soup dumplings could have used more soup but were otherwise fine. We also ordered a side of cucumber salad, which was decent overall but a bit salty and garlicky. The service was brisk and professional. They brought us rice for no extra charge – a nice touch. We thought the atmosphere was pleasant overall, with warm lights and plants.“

“Tao Tao is great. I have been coming here my whole life. Tao Tao Beef is the best. Flavorful and tender. They have really good chicken salad. Sometimes can be bland but better if add a little salt. In the past, the flavor was always consistent. Now hit n miss like bland and no flavor but still good if add salt. Order half order if like only 4 of you. I also like their pineapple chicken (sweet n sour type sauce). My favorite is prawns and lobster sauce. They give a generous portion of chicken chow mein. Steamed rice is a bit ridiculous at $5 a cup so for 4 people $20 so might as well get fried rice for less or do takeout and make rice at home. They used to make Dofu with BBQ pork with a brown gravy sauce that was really good but don't have it anymore. I love their food but their prices have gotten way too expensive. They have really good service.“

“We had such a wonderful dining experience here! The seafood was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. The oysters were especially impressive, fresh from that morning, and the geoduck was crisp, sweet, and delicious. The crab was rich and full of roe, the shrimp were excellent, and the beautifully marbled beef was tender and perfect for the hot pot. Even after we were completely full, the oyster omelet at the end was so good that we somehow found room for more!

What really made the evening special, though, was the service. Vivian was incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive. You can tell that a lot of care goes into both the ingredients and the presentation of every dish. Our whole group felt very welcomed and well taken care of.

“Best fish soup in town. If you can handle some heat, I'd definitely recommed to get any of their spicy dishes with mala in it. Avoid Satay Curry and Tom Yum broth, those are not as tasty. My personal favorite is Spicy and Sour, and Green Szichuan pepper!“

“My family and I had a wonderful dinner here. As a party of 8 with two toddlers we were worried we would be squished at a table but the round table was amazing to eat family style. The cocktails are refreshing and everything we ordered came out amazing. I really appreciated how the server took my son’s allergy seriously and helped us order something the toddlers would like.
