“My comfort food. Orange chicken, Beijing beef and fried rice. Vegetable roll was superb. The chicken roll was too strongly flavoured with Shao Xing wine. Would have preferred lighter taste. Service was good as staff was patient with me downloading app to get 15% discount. Portion generous.“

“Came and found parking around the block. Put our names on the Yelp waitlist and seated in about 15 minutes. Despite how busy it was, the tables did not feel crowded. After scanning the QR code and placing the order, food came out pretty quickly and stayed warm ish on the metal plate in the center of the table powered by 5 tea lights. The stinky tofu came out first and luckily the smell did not linger. We were surprised at how affordable it was. The food did end up over lapping but the flavor profile is more or less the same.“

“Just had a dish of soybean seedling and it was surprisingly good! They had a perfect little crunch on the outside but stayed tender inside. The seasoning was spot-on—a nice savory, garlicky flavor with a hint of spice. It's a great simple side dish, super healthy-tasting, and feels light even when ate lots meats.“

“We had the kung pao VG chicken and orange peel VG steak. Both items were great - special mention for the latter! Been here a few times over the years and been generally happy with the food. The service was the fastest I can remember in a long time. The interiors were quite cozy without being fancy, and the soft music in the background made for a friendly, easygoing vibe that you'd hope for from a business in your neighborhood.“

“Very unusual and delicious dumplings. I don’t live in the bay so I was strangely close to the two tables on either side. The service was OK, but they seemed to lose track of us for a short time.
But the flavours were very good and the portions large.“
“Hands down some of the best Sichuan Roasted Fish I’ve had. The fish is perfectly tender, soaked in a rich, numbing broth that packs a serious punch. I loved the variety of toppings—the cauliflower and bamboo shoots are flavor sponges. Large portions make it perfect for sharing.“

“Unassuming shop that serves Excellent excellent food. Very tasty and quite busy. Had to wait for seating that day. They do not rush to have all dishes come at once. Right sequential timing allows savoring of us each fresh hot dish. And amazing pricing 👍🏼. Must try 🥰“

“No frills steam table layout for take out. Generous servings, food is flavorful. Continuous flow of customers that help ensure dishes are freshly prepared and replenished. Compared to Panda Express, servings are at least double, more flavorful, and about 10% cheaper.“

“I tried Seasons Noodle and Dumpling Garden, and this place definitely surprised me in a good way.
I’m not usually a noodle person. What I know about noodles is either the wok style ones I used to eat back home in Egypt or simple instant noodles at home. That said, this spot changed my perspective. The noodles here are handmade right in front of you, and you can really taste the difference. Fresh, well-textured, and done properly.
The place is very busy, which is usually a good sign, and overall the service moves fast. If you order a broth based noodle dish, it comes out quickly and is served hot, which is great. The issue comes when one person orders broth noodles and the other orders a non broth dish. Those take noticeably longer, and by the time they arrive, the broth dish is already cooling down. That takes away from the experience when you’re eating together.
Because of that timing gap, I’m taking one star off. The food quality is strong, and the handmade noodles are the highlight, but better coordination between dishes would really improve the experience.
Still, if you’re into fresh, handmade noodles, this place is worth trying. Just keep the order timing in mind.“

“Great hole in the wall! Noodles, dumplings, cold apps. All hand made. Pix on wall to help order. They sell frozen dumplings too- great deal and cash only. Credit card ok for the meal. The gentleman there is kind and helpful. You can see them making it right there. Donut place right next to it! Easy parking- big lot.“

“A good Chinese restaurant with above average food. We tried the cabbage and pork boiled dumplings, the steamed pork soup dumplings, and the pan fried pork soup dumplings. The pan fried soup dumplings were the best – good flavor, crispy bottoms, and juicy soup inside. The boiled dumplings were only okay. I thought the pork filling for the boiled dumplings was a bit musky, and I found a piece of gristle in one dumpling. The steamed pork soup dumplings could have used more soup but were otherwise fine. We also ordered a side of cucumber salad, which was decent overall but a bit salty and garlicky. The service was brisk and professional. They brought us rice for no extra charge – a nice touch. We thought the atmosphere was pleasant overall, with warm lights and plants.“

“My favorite Chinese-American casual restaurant. Their house specials I’ve tried have all been great, the Super Savory fried chicken sandwich is outstanding (eat your heart out, Popeye’s), and the beer and cider are interesting, very good, and only $5 each. This is one of the fast casual projects that share the same owner as the Michelin-starred Mister Jiu’s in SF’s Chinatown, and the food quality reflects this.“

“This is one of my favorite places to go for a hearty braised meat meal. Every dish is cooked to perfection and the flavors are interesting and remain authentic. Today we got the braised pork rib which were tender, juicy, and flavorful, and the duck gizzard which was very tasty. Highly recommend this place!“

“We had a wonderful dinner here, with boiling beef and pumpkin cake. We also got the beef bun. All were delicious. We love the atmosphere and deco inside. There’s also free ice cream! Highly recommended for anyone with young children, or those who enjoy a good atmosphere - it feels like a real restaurant in China. Highly recommended!“

“SUPER-delicious food, but waitstaff is clearly overwhelmed.
My friend and | shared four plates (hey, we were hungry!)
- String Beans with Garlic: cooked and seasoned perfectly!
- Pork Xiao Long Bao: also delicious!
- Shrimp, Pork w.Chives Dumpling
- and Shanghai Style Pan Fried Juice Pork Buns, probably our
favorite given the varied texture and - as with everything else-
awesome flavor l
We arrived at 5:30pm before the place was too busy, but it was soon hopping! And we didn't see very much of our server, so it was sometimes difficult to get her attention to order more or bring us the check. So I do feel it'd be lovely to have a bit more attentive and friendly service. That aside, I'm sure I'll be back to get more of this deliciousness!“

“This is one of the closest hotpot place to Stanford. We chose a two-person package for $89, including 2 bobas, two plates of beef, one plate of lamb and seafood, one plate of noodles and vermicelli, one plate of tofu, and one sweet. That's more than enough food but we finished it!Unique small individual pot, only wish it was sunk in the table. It has the basic sauces and spices, wish there is more.“

“Stopped by The Mandarin Chinese while hoping for some great Chinese food in town. The location was convenient, and the space itself is quite nice, with the added bonus of upstairs seating. Service was smooth; we came on a Friday evening, got seated right away, and dishes arrived in a steady flow.
Unfortunately, the experience was a bit mixed. The sizzling rice soup was disappointing; it came out lukewarm and didn’t sizzle at all, with a watered-down broth. Definitely underwhelming.
That said, the rest of the meal was much better. We ordered Spicy Beef Tendon, Salt and Pepper Tofu, Garlic Snow Pea Leaves, Eggplant in Spicy Sauce, and Kung Pao Chicken. Every dish was flavorful, and the Szechuan-style seasoning really stood out. The beef tendon dish, in particular, looked and tasted great.
Overall, while not everything hit the mark (and prices felt a bit high), the main dishes were strong enough to make it a solid option for Szechuan cravings; just maybe skip the soup.“

“The soap was very tasty, it had a lot of flavor and wasn't too salty. The noodles were great as well, they were long and chewy. There was also a good amount of meat and vegs as well. One bowl of soap coated me around 20 dollars before tip and they only took cash.“

“This is a solid dim sum place with good food overall. Prices were fair, except for the pan fried bao with translucent skins, which were way overpriced. We enjoyed the shrimp chang fen and the Chinese broccoli. The har gow had nice chewy skins, but the filling inside was only so-so. I was not a huge fan of the sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaves because the filling was made with ground meat instead of whole pieces. The staff were efficient and friendly. We enjoyed choosing our food from the roving dim sum carts. I ordered shou mei tea, which tasted fine.“

“Ok it won’t look like much from the outside on ECR and from the rear you park in the alleyway lot and walk past the restrooms and the kitchen but… this place is the bomb. And the chefs are top notch. I feel bad not having good photos except for one dish which came on mini wok with a burner and a dipping sauce. That’s a special lamb dish with vegetables mushrooms and goji berries. They made some unique and delicious food. The staff knows the menu very well and can recommend and they have chef specials on the back of the menu. One set for Chinese and one set for American palette. Both are good and you can’t go wrong. On the wall they post their specials also. For a IYKYK tip - if you bring in your catch they can make it the way you want and charge you “cook-your-catch” fees.“

“My single dish of gluten free beef and broccoli costs me $18. Plus fried rice and an appetizer I usually spend closer to $50. I don’t know why the average cost on here says 10-20 per person.
The people who work there are kind and helpful. The food is quick and scrumptious.“

“Okay, so I checked out this place on West El Camino Real in Sunnyvale – it’s a pretty lively spot! Definitely seemed popular, lots of people. The food was a bit pricier than I expected, almost like a fancy version of panda Chinese. Portions were decent though. The staff were super friendly, especially our waiter, she was really attentive. Parking was a bit of a pain because it’s shared with other businesses. I got the extra spicy sauce – definitely needed it! Would go back with friends for a fun evening.“

“This restaurant is located right next to the famous Little Sichuan—healthy competition is always welcome. The interior feels newly renovated with a pleasant ambience, something I wish Little Sichuan would consider as well.
We ordered three dishes: Chongqing Spicy Chicken, Flavor Kitchen Cage Frog, and Dry-Baked Green Beans. Both the spicy chicken and the cage frog were quite good. The green beans were just okay; they were a bit stringy, and I’ve definitely had more tender versions elsewhere.
Be prepared to wait a bit for your food. It took about 15–20 minutes for our first dishes to arrive. This might actually be a good sign, since many Chinese restaurants rely heavily on pre-prepped ingredients—here it seems they cook more from scratch, which takes longer but tastes fresher.
Overall, we had a positive experience and will be adding this restaurant to our list for future visits.“

“Managed to get a last-minute reservation and felt quite lucky! The restaurant even followed up to confirm our arrival. The service was excellent—they even poured the sake for us. I loved the heated tray on the table that kept our skewers warm; it’s such a thoughtful touch. The menu has plenty of options, and though the place is small, it feels very cozy and atmospheric. The upside-down umbrellas hanging from the ceiling are a unique touch. One thing to note: it’s quite dim inside, so it’s a bit hard to take photos. If you're taking a group shot, watch out for blurriness!“

“I’m quite shocked how much food they gave me after all of the Chinese takeouts I’ve been too! It’s no wonder that this place has received higher ratings. This plate I have can get you full in no time unless you share it or save up for dinner later. The food here is even tasty. That two-item combo costs around $13!
I heard that this restaurant also serves à la carte, but you can also go through fast-food style like what I had today. Place wasn’t really big but the seating area in a way stands out. You can probably wait there until your order is ready. Also, I was scrolling through the foods from the display. Seems that many people ate here during lunch while I came here for dinner. Doesn’t seem that they have plenty of options from the display for combo orders, but that’s alright.
Honestly, I thought that the Spicy Orange Chicken would be very spicy, but gladly, it isn’t. I was hoping that I don’t end up drinking too much water from severe spiciness. I have tried the regular Orange Chicken from a similar place, but didn’t like it.
This will be one of the favorite Chinese takeouts I will go to for now on. Looking forward for more!“

The service was smooth and attentive without being too much. Everything came out at a good pace and the staff were friendly.
The highlight was definitely the food—the Peking duck and grilled fish were so good. The duck was crispy on the outside, tender inside, and full of flavor. The grilled fish was perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and super satisfying.
Overall, really solid spot. Would definitely come back, especially for those two dishes!“

“Stanford in campus counter style cafe offering a blend of Southeast Asian flavours. One has to lower expectations given that this is within the university and caters to a diverse set of diners, so the tastes are milder vs the local Asian staples. A good representation nonetheless of Asian cuisine. The dining area is soley outdoors but relatively clean and provides a good campus spot to have ones meal and to meet up. No toilets available.
Vegetarian options: Counter style gives you options but ask servers on specific ingredients used
Parking: Stanford University parking system in effect while free parking lots are further situated with the use of free shuttles
Kid-friendliness: Ample options for kid's tastes
Wheelchair accessibility: Spacious seating outdoors but ordering has to be done by counter“
